I have been buying the rotisserie chickens for years. Lately, I've definitely noticed that the chickens are much smaller than they used to be; however, the price has stayed the same. Since the chickens are smaller, Costco needs to reprogram their rotisserie timers, The chickens are in their too long for their diminished size and the legs, wings and breast skin is burned. Also, I detect a slight taste of some cleaning product when eating the chicken. read more

The staff is unprofessional and rude. We had a huge 75in TV on the big flat cart. As a courtesy to other customers, my daughter waited by the side of the cashiers while my husband waited in line. When he was up to the cashier, he waved my daughter over. She politely excuse herself and customers were kind enough to move out of her way to squeeze through. The Costco representative who had the handheld scanner told my daughter she needs wait in line and not rush through. How in the world can my daughter rushed through people with a huge TV in the cart??? My daughter just said sorry and that woman continued to reprimand her. Rudest cashier today 2/11/25 was Jaci. Never been so disgusted by someone's attitude like we were today. She was absolutely disgusting towards my 80 yr old mom. The items in our cart were divided into two different piles on the belt. It was all being paid for all together but going into two different boxes. As some items were for my mom and the other items were for myself. It makes it a lot easier this way when I drop my mom off to just grab her box of items, then have sort it out at the house... I even went and found two boxes. As i approached the line my mom was in... Jaci was yelling at her saying so you want to different transactions? My mom kept telling her no all together please.. I just want to put the items in two separate boxes. I myself tried to explain it to Jaci... and she told me I was wrong , thats not what my mom was saying. Costco needs to send her charm school. Very disappointed in Costco , there are ZERO Spots to safely park my Harley here, With out worrying it will get hit or stolen, or items taken off it, Yesterday I parked near building right next to I pillar OUT OF FLOW OF PEOPLE, And Paul Blart the parking police came unglued and went on a tangent DEMANDING I MOVE IT !! and sat there until I DID leave!! Came to this location to pick up some milk, meat, and chicken fettuccine. Made the fettuccine for dinner and the whole family had diarrhea with stomach cramps the next two days. This was the only thing the family had as a meal together so my guess was the bacteria was so high that we got food poisoning from it. read more

This review is for optical. I ordered my daughter her first pair of glasses. The man who helped me was named Jimmy. To adjust my glasses he uses his hands, something I can do at home. It doesn't look professional at all and it's cringy too see. I've had glasses since high school and I've never seen anyone else do that. He also happen to help me when I got my glasses last year and he did the same thing. I felt he mest them up and went to the Costco on Rosedale to fix them. Wow it's been a while and i need to update my review!! So i've had issues in the past and i know no store is perfect lol but they've come a long way. Produce is much better now, i think that was always my complaint. In my opinion during all this craziness they've really done well with everything. From cleaning the gas pumps very often to keeping the carts sanitized and trying their best to keep the store stocked (even with the damn hoarders out there). I've no complaints. I really want to also just send a heartfelt Thank You to these employees and managers here. I was hit last September in the parking lot by the gas area he was an uninsured idiot driving recklessly and it happened to be on the night of my sons wedding rehearsal which i missed. My car was pretty much destroyed and these employees and managers were there in minutes!! Made sure the police and fire department were on their way, made sure we were ok and brought cold water. I was completely distraught i held it together for a while but i did fall apart it was probably the most stressful thing i've been through. I feel so bad i didn't get the gas attendants name he was amazing and Jacob in the tire shop Thank you so much for coming to check on me All you guys i appreciate what you did from the bottom of my heart!!! Ok i'm sorry i just had to get that out....I visited this Saturday and was prepared for crazy Lol but it wasn't (i guess all the hoarders were home Lol). Anyway it was so pleasant not a lot of people and my son and i were able to find everything and then some haha haha as always that we "needed ;)". I like Costco but while shopping here I've noticed that although certain deals save you money, such as ;amusement park bundles, computers, some produce, video games, ect. Most things are no cheaper or actually more expensive here, but here you have to buy more of it. It's very easy to over spend here because most things are $10+ dollars because it's bulk. I have rarely bought meat here because you have to by some much of it and the price per pound is not really discounted for bulk, imo. Don't get me wrong I like shopping here but mostly for the variety of things that you can not get anywhere else, the samples, and I like to pick up some cheap pizza or a hotdog on the way out. I do hate that their website and store are not linked at all. You can not see what's available in the store by visiting the website, you are only able to see and purchase what is available on line. This location is good because it is less busy and in a less busy area than the one on Rosedale. It kind of sucks in the summer that the food court is outside, but that's good for non members because they can get food too. read more

Went in today to sign up for a membership, ran into Kevin; super nice guy and made my experience a great one. No hassle at all! Went above and beyond to help us out. Went through self check out the older lady don't know her name was so friendly and welcoming. After years of not coming I have to say I'm happy to return to Costco i love what they offer in my opinion Costco offers more than sams club years ago I would've said Sams club offer more but not any more Costco offers more variety of stuff thats reasonably priced.The food court is 10 times better. Who doesn't like Costco? I do not know many folks who are not fans. I have consistently had good experiences at all the Costco stores that I have stepped into. This location on Panama Lane is no exception. It is not my favorite branch, but I still drop by from time to time. Like every other Costco, great deals to be found here. Problem is that many items must be purchased in bulk. At least you can return most merchandise without any issues if you must. The only complaint I have about this Costco is the location of the snack bar. It is outside the store. Makes it very uncomfortable to dine outside during the hot summer days. Will end up not making any purchase because of this. Otherwise, I have no problem with this Costco. read more

This is my go to Cost Co place but when I ordered a box of pizza today, the lady that I spoke to over the phone was rude. Telling me that I can't order just a box. It should be 5 boxes or more. I have ordered a box before and in different cost co as well and this is the only time that has that "rule". This place is my JAM! I come here at least once or twice a month to do restock in my house. From the great prices on water bottles and toilet paper, you have to know what to get here. I grew up in a Costco basically when is was called Price Club. My mom loves it still as well. So the parking is crazy and so is the gas station if you go on their busy days, just go with patience and be fully aware some people dont mean to be rude. I love the food ladies, they are always sweet and love to converse with the customers. They usually persuade me on a new item or two. I would love a Caroline Cart there so it would help with my SN son and make shopping a lot easier, but I dont think they would. They also started bringing in hot a fresh pizza by the registers so you can grab a few pies on your way out, instead of having to get in line with all your stuff. Its a big time saver, loved it especially on a Friday around 6pm so we can relax after unloading our groceries in the house to chill with a delicious Costco $10 pizza. By the way my favorite pizza of all time. Plus omg their food court has almost anything you could want on the go. Not gourmet but still delicious and way better. read more

In light of everything that has happened to Costco lately, this store is still amazing. Every time I slide into this store, there seems to be something new all the time. What that boils down to is that I have to buy more stuff each time I go into there. I walk in with a plan. I tell myself only one things. As I walk out to my car, I start loading up my car with a bunch of crap I didn't need but I am excited to take home. This place has the best meat selection in my opinion. The brisket is an amazing price. I mean, who doesn't need a giant slab of meat for a great deal?!?!? One of my favorite purchases is the pork belly. Costco is not just a warehouse, it a warehouse full of goodies and samples depending on the day you come. We love coming here, especially for their fish sticks. These fish stick are so thick and full of good fish. They are so good when they cooked the right way. I love their weekly sales they always seem to have detergent on sale when I need it. When you have a big house, stocking up is number one priority. Since everyone doesn't have a big house hold you may feel like you don't need all, but buying the essentials can help a small house hold out. For example you can't have enough paper towel nor toilet paper and cleaning stuff. Others can benefit from your membership, bring they with you, share the experience. read more

While shopping at our Costco (day before valentines and packed) 11:15 AM- 2/13/21- they apparently shorted all the registers when they attempted to connect the new self check registers. Mike, who was the manager on duty and his employees failed miserably at directing the two main lines of customers that they created. The line closet to the pharmacy was being directed to 6 different check stands while the other line was only being fed into one register. Where is the logic in keeping your customers moving quickly and without getting frustrated? When brought to the employee's attention she could not understand that our HUGE line was being screwed. Mike should have made sure there was the same amount of registers for both lines. That's his job. What a sh*tshow we were unfortunate to be a part of since we couldn't see until we reached the register area that our line was not being given the SAME treatment as the other line. We shop here a few times a week and I know this was a unique situation but what a piss poor job they did handling this situation. Oh, and have you thought about getting Scan and Go like Sams Club? A million times faster than self check or waiting in your long lines. read more

Never had a bad experience here until today, we have a membership it's under my boyfriends name but I usually pay. Today the lady at the register denied my payment, as soon as she saw me pull the card out. We wasted a whole hour shopping so she can say" the payment card has to be the same name on the membership" I know for a fact not everyone who pays is the one with the membership. Besides the point, she was being rude towards us because we are young or she was racist. The manager did nothing about it either, she asks if he was with me at the time of purchase and we said yes and we thought ok maybe we can get our supplies then she changes her mind instantly. I actually will drive from the other side of town to come to this Costco because it usually has less people here than the Rosedale location. The gas pumps definitely are not as crowded but one bad for us is NO diesel! The Rosedale store does have diesel and this one doesn't. Also this location has their food court outside so if you want lunch and it's not good weather you will have to tough it out to enjoy a $1.50 hotdog. Otherwise this is a much less crowded Costco and it does make it nicer when you're checking out and the lines aren't long. They have all the same amenities as the other store. Optical, photo and tires. So if you are not sure which one you want to go to and the drive isn't a factor I'd come here. Less people and shorter lines. read more

Oh Costco how good you are to me! I love the deals you can get at costco on just about anything! I mean from gas, the food court, fresh fruit, quality meats through couches, appliances, and holiday decor. I love their kitchen aisle (knives, utensils, stemware, pots and pans...) and their snack foods are good too! Their electronics and fresh flowers always have me coming back for more! They also have a growing list of organic products and they're always tasty too! And what about samples!?!? The best! Their return policy is pretty great as well but I've only had to return things once in a great while. I'm more likely to try something new here because I know they stock quality items and I can always return it if need be. Yes, they're busy. Yes, the lines are always long. Still, Yes, they're that good. I love costco and I especially appreciate that they have more than five registers open at all times and the cashiers are very efficient. Love the deals here. We have all heard about Costco and the deals that are to be had... But here is what you didn't know. When signing up for a membership, all you need is $60. They aren't picky about who gets a membership, so it isn't really exclusive. What you get for $60 is a a hard sell from the people at the membership desk who ask you over and over and OVER if you want to upgrade. Quite annoying actually once you have told them "no" several times. Perhaps they need to understand that "No" mean no. As far as the facility itself goes, it is bigly and has lots of stuff and things. Every now and then you will see someone handing out free samples. There are two type of free samples: The kind that isn't ready yet, or the kind where you need to throw elbows and hips in order to get 3 cents worth of free peanuts (with no drinkable liquids in sight). Having said that, the facility is clean. The staff were mainly professional (except for the membership desk). The deals are okay I guess but only if you really are buying in volume. Personally I don't see the need to buy a 55 gallon drum of mayo in order to have it become a family heirloom, passed down from generation to generation. Same goes for the vacation stuff. A quick search when I got home revealed that Expedia offered better deals than Costco did. The consistently lower priced fuel at the pumps is a nice bonus though. I commute quite a ways now and that should take care of the $60 I have invested so far. I guess that if you want big box membership and you don't own a business, be careful about how much you are spending... But if you are going to do it anyways, you may as well do it here. I like Costco but this location needs some serious revision on customer service. You ask a simple question like downgrading your membership or a price adjustment for an item that was on sale but was charged full price, the employee always needs to ask help from a supervisor. And the supervisor doesn't give you a clear answer either. Honestly, if you don't know the answer, just say so, rather than give some haphazard runaround of nonsense. The door greeters are a joke as well. They don't greet you and keep chatting with their co-workers like you don't exist. I'm not saying to lay down a red carpet for us, but at least do your job and greet, like any other Costco location. And exiting the store to show your receipt is not any better. I'm not sure if theft is common at this location, but man do they carefully scan through your items every time unless you have very few items. It's just uncomfortable to shop here. And the self-checkout attendant has some weird power trip and tells people to go to a specific open register, even though there is no line and other registers are open. She then gets upset if you don't follow what she is telling you to do. The employees and their behavior here are extremely odd. One time, I asked a lady at customer service (ironically named) counter where I can ask for price adjustment, and she pointed at the general location further into the store and said something. I couldn't hear so I asked her to repeat and apparently that triggered something in her and gave me an attitude like I was an idiot. You can't ask anything simple to the people that work here without getting some kind of toxic behavior thrown back at you. I see there are other negative reviews about the service here. I won't be surprised if some of the positive reviews are fake. Just go to the Rosedale location if you want a normal and good Costco experience. Avoid this low tier Costco. I'm sure the employees also know this location is terrible, since the turnover rate seems really high. I wouldn't want to work here either. read more

I have always had a good experience at this Costco. But want to specifically heap praise on the Tire Department. I have been in here a number of times and have always been impressed by the level of service. Very professional, friendly and Helpful. Today I was helped by Emanuel. He was perfect. Helped me decide that I only needed two tires instead of four and was helping me figure out if a tire buzz was an issue with tire wear or a wheel bearing. He said If I was still hearing the buzz to come back and they would move some tires around to help with the diagnosis. Highly recommended! read more

The last several times I have shopped at the Panama Costco the workers at the check out have been very rude. Yesterday I waited until the person in front of me was starting to check out and I asked the checker's runner when she got a chance I needed something out of the locked cage (they want you to ask before you are at the register so it doesn't slow the line). She and the checker never looked at me so I thought I'll just wait until I'm up at the register and ask again. The runner walked away and I asked the checker if she heard me and she kinda nodded yes. I said it would be nice to be acknowledged. No eye contact what so ever. Both name tags were turned so you could not see their names but Courtney's name is on my receipt. Costco in my opinion has one of the best meat departments in town for the money. Paying less by buying bulk is their business model and it definitely pays to buy more and save big. If your not too sure what to have for dinner, a Costco pizza or roasted chicken will hit the spot and will not break the bank Their $1.50 hotdog and drink combo is a killer deal and has also maintained that price for over 20+ years. Apply for their business credit card to take advantage of their rewards percentage program which gives your money back at the end of the year. Great service, clean, big open sales floor makes it fun to shop in this place. Costco might not be for everyone but if you choose to shop their you'll find yourself coming back at least once a week and you'll also never come out empty handed. read more

Saints work here. Serious. I always come here for the fresh fruits and produce, but now I know that not only is this an awesome place to shop, it is now also my most trusted venue as well. As I was perusing the bountiful meats aisle, I must have done something to drop my phone on the floor. When I realized what had happened, I found an associate and he was able to direct me to the ladies up near the cash registers. Within 2 minutes my miracle lady was able to find my phone and gave it back to me! I was ecstatic! One of the best experiences! Costco for life, lol! Aside from that, they have awesome deals- every time I go I'm able to find something that's heavily discounted and I just love my membership. I love the gift cards section as they always have specialty stores that you can't find online like John's Incredible Pizza and the Mediterranean food place. Love it. read more

When I am in Bakersfield, I prefer to shop at this Costco (Bakersfield had two Costco warehouse locations). I have found items at this Costco that I could not get at their other warehouse locations. For example, a few years back I purchased two 7 For All Of Mankind jeans from this warehouse....for a good price I must add. I searched other locations in Orange County and parts of Los Angeles, but never found another warehouse with those jeans. read more

Costco is by far my favorite place to shop. It's like a Harbor Freight, you never know what you're going to find. The seafood fair is at this location today. Large tiger shrimp, scallops, king crab legs and lobster. The wine selection is great and I use my Vivino app which compares pricing and quality. Costco carries many fine wines that are nicely priced. If I let myself I could definitely become a wino. read more

Great organic selection. But golly, the security at this place is insane. You get the death stare where ever you go by all employees. You are unable to cross a line with your basket. That's a sin. The employees at the front probably get paid commission by checking every single item while looking at you like you are a thief. Literally happens all the time.
