We also routinely buy chicken breasts and chicken nuggets. The greeters are always friendly, but the checkout lines are always long. Previous member in another state but have been putting off since moving to Florida as 1 person doesn't usually need to buy in bulk. Joined today with other family who have relocated to Florida so definitely worth it. I spent about 40 minutes perusing just to get a feel of the layout and products offered. It seems like they have expanded their product line quite a bit. Store was extremely clean and well organized with plenty of room in aisles to navigate several shopping carts through. The fish and meat looked amazingly fresh and of course well priced because of bulk purchasing. My only criticism and this is for me to control is when I go intend to buy more than I should or need. If something looks good I want to try it and normally would not purchase it. This runs up the bill quickly. Previously they only accepted cash, personal checks or American Express which was a pain. Now they only accept Visa for credit cards which is much more widely used so smart move on their part. Glad to be back as a customer !!! read more

I definitely recommend Sam's Club over Costco. Sam's Club takes returns on anything, including the protein powder that I returned today which was used. Costco claims to take returns but they are extremely picky and wouldn't let me return stuff a few months ago when I was there. So I got a refund on my membership with them and went straight over to my local Sam's Club which is closer to my house anyways and they have WAY better prices! I get almost triple the amount of stuff at Sam's Club than I did at Costco! I spend an average of $600 a month at Sam's Club (and used to at Costco), and I'm so thrilled at how much more groceries I'm getting. I don't recommend Costco, especially this location which has very poor management. read more

I have been a big fan of Costco since I lived in Indiana and they gave out free memberships to college students (it was promo when the opened). This Costco in Brandon now offers gas. You've got two options...87 octane & 93 octane for those folks with the German cars like myself. The gas is super high quality and the price is better than anywhere else. Plus...I kid you not, this is the cleanest gas station/pump you've ever seen. I has to do with a guy always being there cleaning up and making sure everyone is being smart and not smoking while leaving their car on and pumping gas...you get the idea. Once you've inside the store...wow...it's a great one as far as Costco stores go. I've been to Costco's all over the US & Canada and this one is one of the best I've seen. The items inside the store are high quality and of course you can return something if it doesn't perform as expected for you. Shoot...I returned some luggage that broke down on me I bought in Vancouver, BC and the took it no questions asked. Ok, I'll be a snob and say the clientele here at Costco is *ahem* different than you'll find at Sam's Club. Is that a reason to shop here? No...probably not. But I didn't see a screaming kid fest like you'd normally see in Sam's. Keep in mind...you can only use DEBIT & AMERICAN EXPRESS here. Came here to reach out to costco's marketing department for ad space which in fact is a tax deduction for me which i found awesome. Found the store to be very clean and orderly. I do not necessarily buy in bulk but if you crave something, this is the place to be. By far and away the best wholesale club of them all. I've been to a few different Costco warehouses and a few of their competitors stores and it's an easy decision on who is best. They always have the friendliest staff at the front door and throughout the store. The store is also super clean. The clothes section which is the most likely to get messed up is always in perfect order. My favorite part is the multitude of samples they always offer on a given day. The gas prices are pretty decent. All over recently gas has dropped so it's not as good of a deal as it usually it is. But it's still a good price. I've only had the food there once but it was really good when I had it. The food court is always full so it must be good! I really love shopping there. For the most part I got to costco before I go to the grocery store. I really enjoy shopping here. read more

The best run wholesale club in town. No comparison to the Sam's Club in Riverview. It is often crowded on weekends but plan accordingly. For the deals the waits are worth it. Selection is good, service is excellent. Return policies are fair. The hot dog/ drink deal is still the best. Other snack bar items are also good if you want food in a hurry. read more

My husband dropped some cash, literally, on the floor, the other night at Costco. He didn't realize it. It was a goodly amount of cash. They called us after poring over security camera footage to make sure it was him that dropped it, and he went in right away and claimed it. This was so good of Costco and the kind person who picked up the money from the floor where it had been dropped in the checkout line. I love Costco and prefer it over Sam's and BJ's. This review is only about the Tire Department in the Brandon, FL location. The customer service sucks - waited forever for someone to assist me but it is only one person trying to run out to the shop for info and answer constantly ringing phones - I was the only one there for about 10 minutes and had to wait over 20 minutes for assistance. Once I got waited on the person was very professional. I actually blame the department manager for poor scheduling of that department. read more

This feedback is given to the Costco Tire shop only, and after Victoria Karr sales auditor sent me a letter asking for my experience. This was my reply: ****************** Dear Victoria Karr, Approximately a month ago I started shopping for new tires for my car. Specific to buy only the front tires (245/40ZR/18) since the ones in the back still had a lot of mileage on them left. I have purchase tires from Costco before for my other cars so this was my first option. Note that the car is a 2017 Chevy Stingray which has staggered tires front and back and with Michelin Super Sports run-flats at the moment. On 4/5/2021 I called Brandon tire shop to ensure the tires I was looking in the Costco website were the correct ones, to which the associate confirmed and even recommend another model (Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 XL) which seems to be better from the ones I was looking over the website. 4/8/2021 I made an internet order () for the two tires to be delivered to the Brandon shop. Only attestations that was needed to buy the tires is and quote "To ensure the correct tires for your vehicle are successfully delivered and installed, confirm your vehicle's tire size and load index. This information is listed on the Vehicle Information Placard. The placard is are permanently attached to the vehicle door edge, door post, glove-box door, or inside of the trunk lid. For your safety, Costco Tire Center technicians will only install tires with a load index equal to or greater to the information listed on placard." NO other warning or comments during the conversation on 4/5 and when completing the order. 4/13/2021 received a confirmation (5days after the order) that the tires arrived to the shop, and that I needed to make an appointment for installation. Which I did with an appointment for 4/20/2021 (7 days) at 10:00am at the Brandon Tire shop. 4/20/2021 I went to the tire shop to get the tires installed. Check-in with Daniel and left the car for them to call me when ready. 10 minutes later Daniel is calling me that they can't install the tire since they are different from the ones in the rear; for which I replied that it is obvious since they are different size tires from factory; but that I'll return to the shop to discuss further in person. Went back to the shop 10-15 mins later and Daniel again tried to explain that it can't be done unless I buy another set of tires for the back, or run-flats type for the front, which I stated is not what I wanted and that there is absolutely no issues for having that set-up in the car, and no one no were it advise me against it. He completely refuse to install alleging that they can't not do it since it is a "different tire compound". I explain to him this is not an issue and that I verified before making the order, and that even my other cars (I mentioned my Highlander) which he can look up in the system had different tires front and back and installed before in Costco. At the end, after waiting 12 days between the order and installation appointment, I left the shop very disappointed without the tires installed and money refunded. Later on that day, I contacted Michelin Tech support and asked if there is anything against this set-up with non run-flats type in the front and run-flats type in the back, and they confirmed that there is no issue with that type of installation. Likewise I contacted the GM dealership with the same question and also confirmed that there is no constraint to do the set-up. Same day went to a Local tire shop which is Michelin Certified, and was able to buy and install the tires as I wanted in 2 days, for less price than Costco. In summary: The service and how the technician handled this situations was very poor and disappointing. This is not what is expected from Costco, were I'm a big sponsor/client of the brand. Ask for the appropriate executive to take action for this to not happen again, and to train the technician accordingly, both in service and technical knowledge. Will not buy any other tire in the future from Costco, so Costco tire is losing our business. Will not sponsor and provide the feedback of my situation, so no other customer endure such a bad experience. Hope this gives you an good sense of the facts, and let you know to take actions to have better service or not provide the service at all to the customers. Our local neighborhood Costco, can get a little crazy but my bf picked our townhouse because if it's proximity to their front door. We may have Publix just up the street but I go to Costco for most of our grocery needs. I use Costco's pharmacy too, which can be a little slow and they're only open until 7 PM during the week and not open on Sundays. The savings here are worth the membership fee and my boyfriend and I make up our membership fee by paying for the executive membership and receiving cash back. However, you do not earn cash back on gasoline which kinda stinks for us since we only get gas at Costco. This location is great, plenty of parking and very nice employees. Costco is always a good stop twice a month for us. They are located kinda of out of site but if you follow the directions you should drive right up. The stock is always kept up and on Saturdays they always have the samples out and running. They samples have help us find things we like and purchase every visit. The produce at this location last allot longer then some Costcos we have visited. The lines are not bad and parking is always easy to find. read more

First of all we have used optical department for many years. They are fantastic and probably are the main reason we remain a customer as I do not need bulk items like I did years ago. The only hiccup is there tire department and it is not a reflection on the employees. I waited three and one half hours to get a flat fixed on a off day for them. The employee was very nice but he said they do not have enough employees and Costco has been unable to fill the positions. One of the good things about the Tire Warranty is that they can fix the tire for free but actually it would be better at a local tire shop. Next time I buy tires if the tire shop price is close I will go there. read more

If Trader Joes' my pride, Costco would be my joy. Living in SoCal for most of my life, I grew up on Costco. Everything from the giant cheese pizzas to walking around asking for samples after samples to buying too much paper towel for one family to even their $1.50 hot dogs was a staple in my upbringing. Of course, this Costco follows suit and doesn't disappoint. For all you Costco noobies, here are my 10 commandments to Costco shopping: 1. Limit how much you want to spend before you go in. You can easily rack up a $200 without even noticing. 2. When you walk in, go to the Customer Service counter to grab a coupon book. 3. Come with a half empty stomach. You probably won't get full off a Costco sample meal, but you'll regret it if you come stuffed. 4. Go down every aisle and get oriented with where things are! Some things are randomly placed so you don't want to miss anything. Plus, sometimes you find things you didn't know you needed. 5. Check the fruits carefully. Sometimes the fruits can have a variety of overly ripe and completely under ripe ones mixed in so pay attention! 6. Come for the holidays! They have MAJOR deals on holiday decorations and holiday gifts. They even have holiday only sales! This is the same for seasonal items as well (hiking gear for summer, winter coats for winter, etc.) 7. Don't ever go in the check out lanes on the side. Find yourself a good middle spot because they tend to overcrowd on the sides. 8. Ask for a box at check out! At this Costco, for some reason, you have to request for a box for your items. This will save you major time lugging everything you bought back to your fridge and home. 9. Fill your gas here! Gas is ALWAYS $0.10-$0.15 cents cheaper at Costco. You can even get new tires, car washes, and the whole shebang here. 10. If you want to return anything, they have a VERY lax return policy. I've literally seen someone return a half eaten cake. I literally sound like a Costco addict, but that's not too far from the truth. You're welcome Costco. tl;dr - Friendly people, low prices, and all-around amazingness. If you're still with Sam's Club, you might want to rethink some of those life choices and pick up a Costco membership. read more

Costco is where it's at! Literally I hate grocery shopping so I come to Costco once or twice a month and get everything I need. Veggies and such we get at a local market so it doesn't go bad but everything else we need is at Costco and gas is always cheaper! I like trying new things and Costco seems to do a really good job at having a variety of good products for a better price. Also, the wine is totally worth it. Wish I could give no stars. Just spent 2 grand repairing AC installed for Costco by Florida Delta Mechanical in 2014. Improper tubing sizing to compressor ruined evaporator. Do not buy AC from anyone if it is installed by delta Mechanical. read more

Everything thing I said before still applies, but I wanted to update my review. We continue to shop here 2 times a week at least. One of the best things is the Gas Station! The quality is great and the prices meet or beat everyone in the area. It is sometimes difficult to get there which is a downside. The selection of meats, seafood and vegetables keeps us stocked. I occasionally go to a local Publix to pick up the other things I may need, but normally Costco takes care of us. I still highly recommend this company to everyone. read more
