This long awaited TJ Maxx made its debut a week ago and filled the vacancy that haunted the S. Tampa shopping scene. I feel that this is a great fit for the area and was a much-needed addition. This store is brightly lit and well-appointed. Well organized and spacious, the store is labeled with each department, including housewares, men's, women's, children's, and shoes. The customer service on the visits I went was great and the associates were helpful. Situated in the same shopping center as Fresh Market and First Watch among others, the parking can be a bit challenging in the morning. When I went for the grand opening celebration on Sunday Nov. 8th, the parking lot was filled and the ones that didn't get there punctually before 8am (I arrived at 8:05am) were left to park on the side streets. I live down the street so it was too tempting to not check out the grand opening and drag my mom there who was visiting and is a seasoned TJX company consumer, but she didn't need much convincing. The DJ outside spinning pop and top 40s hits was a nice touch as were the reusable shopping bags, chapstick, gift cards (although I didn't see any) and other trinkets they had graciously provided for their first guests. I hope that this location continues to stock a variety of quality merchandise and brand names. I was quite pleased with the selection that I saw there. I feel a little better about emptying my wallet at a place like TJ Maxx rather than at department stores where the same or similar merchandise can be found. Happy shopping!

Usually sell for $15.00 at Urban Outfitters but bought them for $6.99!

Great location! This is my favorite TJ Maxx to visit! They have a great selection of everything! I like going here to find different skin/beauty products at discounted prices. I use products from the Acure Organics line and have lucked out with some face washes! I also found a jade roller and silk eye mask set for $9.99! That's a bargain compared to the $19.99 I was going to pay for a jade roller (only) and no eye mask! I also found some great serums from the Valjeans Labs line. These usually sell for $15.00 at Urban Outfitters but I got them for $6.99! I know most of the time it's the luck of draw but it's worth checking which products they have available in store. It's a good way to try a new product at a discounted price. What also helps me decide which new products to try is reading the reviews online before buying! I can go on and on but long story short I'm for sure a Maxxinista!

This is a relatively new location on Henderson. I'm glad they have this here now. I enjoy shopping in the TJX stores in general. Due to its freshness, everything is still shiny and new inside, as far as the architecture, decor, and general upkeep. This TJ Maxx location has the same type of merchandise that all other T.J. Maxx stores have. My favorite areas would be the household items in the back and miscellaneous gifts areas. As usual, the clothing area is always nice also. The parking lot can be a bit of a challenge though due to its small size and the fact that it's sharing with its neighbor the Fresh Market grocery store next-door. I hope to make more visits whenever I need something here during my window shopping trips in South Tampa. Happy shopping!

Great location and selection. They have lots of nice clothes, awesome gift ideas, housewares, and even stylish furniture at great prices. This will always be my go to when looking for clothes gifts or housewares on sale

great store with lots of selections, only problem is there are not a lot of changing rooms so a very long wait for trying on clothes.

New TJ Maxx. A lot like the other TJ Maxxes. They have some stuff. Clothes. Food items. Decor. Pretty good shopping experience.

Beautiful pieces at reasonable prices…read more This is not a Goodwill, so don't expect the pieces to be cheap. What's funny is we were just at Goodwill so I saw a glass jar that was similar to one I found at Goodwill, it was $8 at Goodwill and $34 there. However, that was the only piece I found at Goodwill, whereas here there were so many beautiful pieces. You really can't compare the two, so I'll stop here, but I just wanted to make that clear. I've been into helping the environment recently, so I want to buy secondhand pieces when I can. We were looking for a vase. I ended up finding a gorgeous shell shaped vase. They actually had two, but one had a crack on one side, which is why it was discounted by $50. I decided to go for the non cracked one, which was $140. I think this is reasonable for the quality and it's a statement piece. I saw tons of other items that I loved. There was a standing desk for around $350 and a lot of benches and tables all in the couple of hundred dollar range. Again, not cheap, but definitely less expensive than they probably were when they were new. The guy working there was really nice and helpful. Parking was easy on both sides of the building. They pack this place full of such beautiful finds. I will definitely be back.

It is about 3.5 stars. Great for neighborhood near Mac Dill area. We were here for once a year…read moreclearance sale. The entire place is pack with people. The sales last three days. Each day has new items come out which allow you to revisit in this three days. The sale item is a true bargain in the bin. They are not display in coat hangers. My friends and I stopped in for their fill a bag event. It was the last day of their event so they…read moreslashed the prices of the bags, which we were excited about. A small bag was $5 (originally $15) and a large bag was $10 (originally $25). You're only charged the price of the bag as long as all the clothes fit, each piece that doesn't is 50¢ ($1 the other two days). If they do the event again, go the first day! By the third day there is really nothing special to look at. All the clothes are picked over and what was left are just random shirts someone didn't want. They have other clothes that you can browse (for purchase) besides the clothes in the bins to fill your bag. If you are looking for cheaper thrift prices, this is not the store to do that. Luckily, I found a shirt that I liked for less than $10. My cousin was able to find a few things she liked that fit in her bag. We checked out and went and sat in the car for a bit before parting ways with our friend. While sitting I looked at my cousins receipt and I had question about something on the receipt. I went back inside and asked the employees about it. Some were very nice and some were okay. They discovered that she was rung up wrong and refunded us the money she was overcharged. Which was nice! I didn't go in there asking for or expecting any refund, I was just curious. Overall, I don't know if I'd go back there. I think the fill a bag idea is great and would absolutely be worth it if there were items worth putting in the bag. Besides the fill a bag event, I don't know if I would pay the prices for clothes you can definitely find for cheaper at other thrift stores.
