TJ Maxx is a great stop when I need cute gifts or I'm looking for a quality handbag or housewares. I like how organized they keep this store, and I always find something cute when I peruse around. The store is kept clean and inviting. The checkout process doesn't usually take a long time, even when there's a line, and I like all of the trinkets you can look at along the shelves when you line up before the cashiers. This plaza's parking lot fills up easily, and with one way traffic throughout the lot, it can take a lot of time getting stuck behind someone waiting to park or looking for a space. But the staff is usually friendly and helpful, and there's always something cute to buy. read more

This long awaited TJ Maxx made its debut a week ago and filled the vacancy that haunted the S. Tampa shopping scene. I feel that this is a great fit for the area and was a much-needed addition. This store is brightly lit and well-appointed. Well organized and spacious, the store is labeled with each department, including housewares, men's, women's, children's, and shoes. The customer service on the visits I went was great and the associates were helpful. Situated in the same shopping center as Fresh Market and First Watch among others, the parking can be a bit challenging in the morning. When I went for the grand opening celebration on Sunday Nov. 8th, the parking lot was filled and the ones that didn't get there punctually before 8am (I arrived at 8:05am) were left to park on the side streets. I live down the street so it was too tempting to not check out the grand opening and drag my mom there who was visiting and is a seasoned TJX company consumer, but she didn't need much convincing. The DJ outside spinning pop and top 40s hits was a nice touch as were the reusable shopping bags, chapstick, gift cards (although I didn't see any) and other trinkets they had graciously provided for their first guests. I hope that this location continues to stock a variety of quality merchandise and brand names. I was quite pleased with the selection that I saw there. I feel a little better about emptying my wallet at a place like TJ Maxx rather than at department stores where the same or similar merchandise can be found. Happy shopping! read more

I love this store and its "sister" businesses. When their card interest rates were higher than others, but they were still paying employees when stores were lost due to hurricane damages, I understood. But my statement reveals now a 31.24% interest rate. I cannot support a company that takes advantage of its customers this way. I'll be paying off my balance due, canceling my card and looking for a more fair competitor at which to shop. So sad and disappointed. read more

Great location! This is my favorite TJ Maxx to visit! They have a great selection of everything! I like going here to find different skin/beauty products at discounted prices. I use products from the Acure Organics line and have lucked out with some face washes! I also found a jade roller and silk eye mask set for $9.99! That's a bargain compared to the $19.99 I was going to pay for a jade roller (only) and no eye mask! I also found some great serums from the Valjeans Labs line. These usually sell for $15.00 at Urban Outfitters but I got them for $6.99! I know most of the time it's the luck of draw but it's worth checking which products they have available in store. It's a good way to try a new product at a discounted price. What also helps me decide which new products to try is reading the reviews online before buying! I don't think I have ever shopped at TJ Maxx before. The thought of sifting through bargain bins and unorganized clearance racks gives me hives. My OCD kicks in and I cannot handle shopping through a cluttered mess! I much rather shop online for my bargains. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I have an upcoming business trip approaching this weekend and with time running out I decided to do a little shopping on my lunch break. I work near Hyde Park, but the boutiques at Hyde Park aren't the best spots to find business clothes so I decided to give TJ Maxx a chance. My game plan was simple. Walk into TJ Maxx and see if anything grabs my attention. Fight the urge to organize the racks and if I don't find anything within fifteen minutes give up and go to the mall after work. I couldn't believe how organized the store was! Luckily the women's section was in the front of the store so I made a beeline for the dresses. The dresses were organized on small racks by designer label so I didn't even have to sift and sort through clothes as I was dreading. I quickly found six dresses that looked like they could work and made my way to the changing room to try on my finds. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the dressing rooms were clean and clutter free. I purchased a Calvin Klein, Laundry By Shelli Segal, and two Max Studio dresses for a fraction of their original price. $200 dresses marked down to $39.99? Yes please! Lots of high end purses, designer labels along the walls and by far more luggage than I've EVER seen in any of the TJ Maxx or Marshall locations, quite the selection. Still well organized, they had the best selection of makeup and clothing I've seen in a very long time. If this were closer I'd be a frequent shopper. read more

Really wanted to give them more stars because they do have a really good selection of clothes here but the service is so slow and the checkout line is always backed up. Came here to look for shoes for my kids and they had ZERO kids shoes, the kids clothes selection wasn't anything special, more toys than anything. I purchased something for myself and went to the checkout line. If I had known I would wait 15 mins to purchase one item I would of walked out. The employee behind the counter did not know how to do returns therefore she as backed up waiting for a manager. The customer doing the returning was very kind but told he employee many times that she's in a hurry and needs to leave...the poor customer was still standing there when I left. I feel like if your employees can't do a basic return, don't put them behind the counter to serve guests. The selection here is nice and there are always new arrivals. The makeup/beauty section always seems a mess and needs to be cleaned. Just wish this location would step up their game because I would probably shop here more. read more

This TJ Maxx is okay. I feel like I hardly ever actually find things here. I am always hopeful when I decide to visit this location but rarely actually leave with anything. Their kitchen and home decor section has some good options. I once scored a huge butchers block for my kitchen counter here at a great deal and it was great quality. In regards to clothes how ever, it seems they miss the mark. Especially dresses. They hardly have any dresses! Like cocktail dresses, often times I check out store like this because I just truly hate going to the mall and hope maybe I can find something without having to order online. I wear a common shoe size and it proves to be a big issue here since I can hardly find anything in size in this department as well. This TJ Maxx is just ok. read more

This new store is definitely one of the nicer TJ Maxx in the area. Large and clean inside, with merchandise nicely laid out. They had an excellent selection of designer purses - Kate Spade, Michael Kors, etc., and I appreciate that they are locked to a cord with enough give that you can still try a purse on and investigate its inside. I never seem to find clothes I love at TJ Maxx, although the clothes department for both women and juniors is large. They have a great home section, too, with plenty of items for the kitchen or for decorating your home. This is a relatively new location on Henderson. I'm glad they have this here now. I enjoy shopping in the TJX stores in general. Due to its freshness, everything is still shiny and new inside, as far as the architecture, decor, and general upkeep. This TJ Maxx location has the same type of merchandise that all other T.J. Maxx stores have. My favorite areas would be the household items in the back and miscellaneous gifts areas. As usual, the clothing area is always nice also. The parking lot can be a bit of a challenge though due to its small size and the fact that it's sharing with its neighbor the Fresh Market grocery store next-door. This is best place to get a good suitcase for a much lower price. I decided to try out the hard cases because I'm sick of all my cloth suitcases bulging and dragging on bottom of the floor. Visited this TJ Maxx with the hope that I would find pajamas and such. This TJ Maxx is very updated and looks very modern. Its the kind of store that appeals to a lot of people and its pretty laidback here. Items were very organized efficiently and I didnt have to ask anyone for help. Would have liked smaller carts because the ones that they have seem to be skittish like the ones at Wal Mart, but not as bad. I bought like 8 different outfits for less than $100 so for those on a budget, this aint a bad place to shop. read more

We finally got a TJ Maxx in South Tampa and now do not have to go all the way to Britton Plaza! The store is a good size and has a great selection of higher end items. I found a ton of Kate Spade items and I even found a Trina Turk dress in size 2. I have never seen Trina Turk at a Marshals or TJ Maxx. This is a hidden gem in south Tampa. I always go in with needing nothing and finding everything. Worse than going to target, if you catch my drift. They always have good deals on jewelry. Luggage.
