GAWD there are a TON of people and this place has EVERYthing. Except an adding machine. They didn't have one those. I went in and looked for an adding machine ... a glorified calculator.... cost me $700 dollars. I spent that much money looking for a 10 key calculator!!!!! I walked out with EVERYthing BUT a calculator. I'm never shopping for one of those again at Costco ;-) This place is the go to place for anything you need. Look them up on line too. This Costco have literally everything!!! First thing first, it's member only. They have different level of membership and price is between $55-$100idh. They save you a lot of money. Gas station and lowest price than other regular gas station out there. Staff at gas station is friendly and helpful when you need them, they are there. Warehouse is so huge! They have food court where you can stop by on your way in or out. Pizza, hotdogs, drinks and etc. We ordered several pizzas from there and every time it's so yummy! Best deal is get one whole pizza because you end up with leftover and you save $. Their clothes quality is very good. Not like Walmart quality. They are reasonable price as well. My husband brought Khombu boots there and it's sturdy quality. We plan get some good clothes there someday. They had those thick flannel sweatshirt. It amazed me how thick they are and truly going to keep you warm through winter! They sell organic foods and drink there. They sell many bulk food for great deal. Absolutely amazing deal because it will last you longer if you are only a married couple. It's indeed great for big family, big party or even huge event. They sell household supplies that will guarantee last you long time unless you have big family. Pet needs, kitchen needs and all that. It's all there. Have always loved Costco. That is why I am so disappointed in my most recent experience. I bought a Silverton model Traeger during the roadshow at the Costco in Chico. Having been wanting to buy a Traeger for quite a while, I was informed that the Silverton was an especially great value at $699. About one week later I saw a larger model, the Elite 34 for $599. This model had been marked up at $799 during the roadshow. I felt there was a clear bait and switch at work. I brought this to the attention of the manager on duty, Mike, who essentially called me a liar and that the model was always $599. The problem with his claim, they had not had a Traeger for sale since I arrived in town (since September). Returning a Traeger grill is not so easy a task, especially in the rainy winter and living 35-40 minutes away. But the rhetoric from Mike was bring it back. He was unwilling to help explain the corruption at work with their pricing scheme and claimed I was too upset to help. I never raised my voice, nor used any foul language. I pointed out the pricing and asked for an explanation. Mike chose to blame Traeger, and then blame me, the customer. Mike then claimed to be the Store Manager. My advise to Costco, get a Store Manager who is interested in helping customers. Mike doesn't seem too interested in that. I try to be very fair with Yelp reviews. I am open to changing my perspective and experience with more information. With this being the only Costco in the area, should things not improve we'll be cancelling our membership. Update: Waited on hold with Traeger for 3 minutes and they were able to explain the differences between the two models. They also apologized for the misrepresentation, which was neither their fault nor intended but certainly appreciated. The Silverton is a newer model and the Elite Texas 34 is discontinued. Shame on Costco for selling a discontinued model. I bumped my review to 3 stars as every other interaction with employees and service here has been top notch. I maintain knocking two stars off for a pretty awful manager in Mike, especially not knowing the products. read more

Im rating the food court. Honestly, Costco's cheese pizza is some of my favorite pizza, it's super cheap and it's probably my go-to hangover remedy. : ) I also love that when you order a slice, they really give you two and it comes with a soda. Of course their hot dogs are super yummy and always a safe choice. Their churros are my guilty pleasure.. They're less than a dollar and i LOVE treating myself to one here and there.. Well... I was meeting someone here who has a membership I got here early and decided to eat. I looked on the phone and it said it's okay things that you can do at Costco without a membership included eating. Well they sure gave me a hard time I showed him on the phone what it said. The manager said it was outside only. Very rude. I have thought about getting a membership here but but I sure won't now. Feel like I'm going to throw up this damn hot dog. I wouldn't ever have come in here to try and eat if I didn't think it was okay. So all that information on the phone about Costco and you can eat here is wrong apparently. Wednesday, May 13th, I assisted my elderly mother at Costco. She stopped at the Customer Service Desk to ask a question on our way out. My poor mother was treated disrespectfully and belittled by the young woman, Leena, working in membership services . I was appalled by how she responded to my mother's questions. In our many years of shopping at the Chico Costco the customer service by Leena was complete unprofessionalism and not what you would expect from a Costco employee. read more

Like all Costco's their lines can be long at times but their cashiers are fast and get people in and out of there quickly. My favorite part is going and trying the samples as the samples are generous and yummy. Just had another bad experience with Costco. They are hiring more and more college students with little to no customer service skills. They are not genuine and are borderline rude now. I really miss the "old" Costco. There are plenty of genuinely nice young people who are swift and intelligent that Costco can hire, surely. I used to like shopping here but after todays experience to say the least that I won't spend another dollar here. I walked out without purchasing the items I wanted because of poor customer service and they definitely were making false assumptions and stereotyped me. I show my card at door like always, didn't pull it out of my wallet but flashed a very visible black Costco membership card. Go to stand in line and rude Alleged supervisor says to show him my membership. I ask what's the problem and he states that I didn't show it to the person working the main entrance. So he was basically calling me a liar saying I didn't have a membership with them. I showed him my card just to prove indeed that I was a member and I told him to take back my items, and that I would cancel my membership as well. Why pay money to be harassed by this guy? This Costco is the only reason I like living in a college town: The checkout boys are such smooth-armed, frat boy hotties. I'm a mom in her 30s, so having some eye candy when I'm running errands with two kids in tow is a major plus. Not only are they cute, the guys are always helpful, polite, and so sweet with my kiddos. Costco pharmacy has made many errors while filling our family prescriptions. Be very CAREFUL and double check before leaving the store with any medication. The next week in stock at regular price and I decided to buy it. One week later on sale for $100 of and out of stock. They refused to price match because the item was not on the floor. This is the first time I have ever asked for a price match. Went to customer service chat online and was told they had never heard of that. Once again Costco was a jolly good visit. A slice of fried gold. The experience and laughs shared by such great workers as Paul Priest and Kevin Young were spot on and made the wait in line at least bearable. We were able to find things because we took time to look and realized it wasn't the employees fault but a decision made above them. 3 weeks ago I was approached by a nice young gentleman by the name of Will who was with Direct TV in Costco. He was very informative and answered all questions and what meant so much is he was honest not your typical salesman. He gave me a brochure pertaining all the info and told him in would talk with my wife. I recently went back straight to the kiosk and asked for William and from the start a gentleman informed me it was better that he was there and not William. I was barely allowed to get maybe 2 words and noticed and informed him that William would be getting the sale but yet he claimed to be the owner and when asked why his name was not on the form Shaun stated he would make sure he gets it. Regardless to say I was with my girlfriend who was signing up and felt she was be pressured into getting a package she said no to. It was brief and I took it upon myself to see if he would honor what he told me by calling 2 days before install with the company I believe handles installs and new orders Smart Circle I was told a different price from Shaun then a Rep on the phone had to explain a rsf fee through not explaining a regional fee well that young man's name was NOT ON there. I cancelled the order due to not only this fact but was hoping I would see William again to go through him. I was told things by a young kid who told me great let's give him a call. The young tall kid didn't have a name tag but was training someone in the store by the name of Sam. The first tall kid i asked to speak with William personally while he claimed to be on the phone with William I was lied to and was put on the phone with Shaun who didn't remember or seem to care about the employee who to me William reminded me of my son who past away. I came back into Costco yesterday hoping to see William who didn't push me into anything but showed me nothing but a professionalize you can't train. Found out he was fired and once again the owner felt the need to express his mind not remembering who I was because I wasn't with my girlfriend. I felt the need to write this review due to the fact I felt lied to and that William had a way about himself and dealing with his mother being sick he always mentioned how good life was with God. But as for Direct TV and getting Costco from Shaun and that gentleman who felt the need to not only take his sale lie and not change it left a taste that I will definitely be speaking my mind to corporate or mgmt and hopefully to Shaun. If you ever have to return anything that is over the 90 day warranty to Costco only the manager or membership manager can do this. I dealt with the lazy and uninformed concierge department because of an issue with a TV that I have had for a year, these were on going problems with a Vizio TV, neither Vizio or the concierge department would do anything but run me in circles. Finally someone at the regional customer service number gave me the help I needed by letting me know who to contact. Returned the TV and got a different model in 24hrs, thank you for the help! P.S.
