This particular Costco store presents a less than desirable atmosphere. The interactions with staff often involve insinuations of theft or unfriendly attitudes. The employees appear discontented and uninviting. Additionally, some male staff members have been observed to display inappropriate misogynistic behavior, making female customers uncomfortable. For instance, during a self-checkout attempt, male employees prevented me from handling what they considered heavy items, like a case of water bottles, implying doubt about my ability to lift them. Also at the self checkout they always snatch the card away from you so they can see the image, which is uncalled for. They can ask for the card nicely like a regular human being. read more

This regards Costco's 2 hour delivery service provided by InstaCart. After reading Britt's review about InstaCart I was sold to give them a try and I'm grateful that she took time to write her review - it's changing my shopping habits! Yay, Yelp! So I'm in love - and this love ain't cheap - but still, I'm in love. Last Sunday, we ordered 9 Costco items from their site while sipping morning coffee in our pajamas. Within 2 hours we had frozen food, cold food, cooked food and dry goods delivered to the house. We saved so much time that we watched a movie and played in the pool instead of driving to Costco, looking for a spot, fighting the crowds, waiting on line to check out, loading the car, negotiating the parking lot, driving home and unloading the car. I told you, it's love. But it's not cheap. Costco adds a fee to each item we order - which they clearly state on their site. And it adds up. But I'd rather spend the money for someone else to have the Costco experience. Right now I'm at work and the rotisserie chicken, produce, beverages and more are being picked on my behalf. I don't have to go there after work or on the weekend when everyone else is there. It's a beautiful thing. Once I shop - buying sale, coupon and regular priced items - the site asks me if I'll accept substitutes on specific items. I say no - but you could accept their suggested substitute. Once the order is completed the site tells me there's still time to add to the order until the shopper starts picking the items. Then, I get a text that my items are being picked. As items are scanned, the Costco site tells me if my items were available. There's a timeline to show me the order was received, in progress, complete, etc. I can enter a message for my shopper (which I do, telling the shopper to use our garage door for a quick, straight shot to our kitchen). The shopper immediately texts me back to acknowledge my message. OMG this is so cool! Last week, we were a bit surprised at the upcharge to get home delivery. This week, we're only too willing to pay the price to forego the instore experience. Hey, we choose to pay with our cash instead of our time. Officially the WORST Costco because of their bully employees. Every single time I go I'm getting harassed, accused, nasty comments, reminded repeatedly they're closing soon when I'm clearly running in quickly to grab one thing with plenty of time to do it, weird invasive questions, inappropriate behavior and HORRIBLE customer service!!!They seem to discriminate against lighter haired people. Customer service was extremely long and slow today! I returned a bouquet of flowers -pink lilies that I purchased a few days ago. I've had this type of bouquet & lillies before and usually they smell really beautiful. But for some reason this bouquet had a very strange smell to it. Not only that, but the leaves seem to turn a yellow brown color pretty quickly even before the flowers bloomed! I don't know what kind of spray & chemical they use on these flowers, but not only did they smell bad (smothering the actual fragrance of the flowers) but whatever that chemical was, started to make me feel sick! This is my local Costco. I have been shopping here for 17 plus years. I do not have much basis for comparison, as I think I have been to one other Costco location and no other warehouse competitors. Shopping is a chore for me but going to this Costco location can be like going into battle. Parking is scarce and finding parking in the relatively small parking lot can be dangerous. The check-out lines can be long, although I have to say with self check-out they are improving. Like any warehouse store, the place is huge so there is no "running in" for anything. Although, gas prices are good, I would rather not wait on long lines. Still, we go to Costco to get great deals on certain items. We like their filet mignons and fresh salmon. You can get a lot more fresh fruit and vegetables for your dollar than at Publix. Last week I bought a massive amount of bell peppers and grapefruit for the price of what two would cost at Publix. Of course Costco has the best rotisserie chicken for a great price. They also make delicious cakes (if you do not need an intricate design). It's a place to stock up on batteries, sonicare refills. toothpaste, cleanser, laundry detergent, Q-tips vitamins, snack foods, protein bars, etc. However, the aspect of Costco that is most fun is the surprises. Sometimes the surprises are found when sampling food. I usually go to Costco on weekends and this location has generous food sampling. There are some items that I would never have purchased if I had not tried them first including the Crab Dip, Pot Stickers, and Chicken Apple Sausage. Sometimes the surprises are books or clothing. My son's favorite Panther's hoodie came from Costco. Last year I found a pair of Lulumon knock offs that fit perfectly. So yes, going to this Costco can be a pain, but it's usually worth it! read more

Stopped in here recently. It has the same items as Costco in Pembroke but located in different areas of the store. They had Christmas lamp posts to decorate outside. There were only a few left so I knew that I had better pick it up that day instead of waiting. I'm glad that I did. Everyone in the family likes the classic look of the lamp post. While here I also got blueberries, blackberries, potstickers, Chicken Tikka Masala and dog treats. read more

This isn't my usual Costco, but this was the location that came up with the quickest availability for Luna's Christmas (Santapaws) cards. Yes, I'm one of THOSE dog people. Service was prompt at the photo department (located right near the entrance) and the cards came up looking like how they were shown on the website layout. I was able to find parking fairly quickly though I did have to walk a little bit. The parking lot was well lit though. As far as the rest of the store, this was your typical Costco where you can get anything, even a law degree** Besides puppy photography, I picked up some plastic utensils and snacks for the office. They also had an ample selection of clothes, liquor and electronics. The employees were generally helpful in looking for my items. The only hangup I experienced was in the self-checkout, when I needed to wait for an employee due to an issue with the scanner. Granted the store was packed, but I ended up needing to wait for a more senior manager. Honestly the worst management I've ever seen at any Costco, they don't treat their employees right specially the ones that work in specialty departments like gas, tire shop, or mayors and the boys pushing carts. They have often find themselves short staff because of the improper scheduling & poor attention to their employees needs leaving them frustrated and unappreciated. Moral here is very low and I commend the workers for putting up with it. At this point I no longer go here because of personal experiences with their management and how they talk to me as a member, and worst when they scold workers and that's not the culture Costco was brought up to be. The current GM Mike Reyes is a very nasty person that screams and curses left and right. The only saving grace are the few gentle souls around the food court and gas attendants. But even they are so mistreated and it shows and it radiates to us the members sometimes and I can't blame em. Will not be supporting this location any further. Lines are very long, parking is horrible. You're be better of going to Pines if you don't mind the trip. read more

Want to know why Covid-19 is rampantly spreading in South Florida? Come to this location, 1890 S University Dr, Davie, FL 33324. It's over capacity, carts aren't being properly sanitized, the self serve soda bar is open to anyone and people are refilling their own drinks. Masks aren't being worn over the nose and mouth and it's obvious, people just don't care. I'm sure business will slowdown now that the $600 federal unemployment expired and FL only offers twelve weeks at $275 with an additional nine weeks of $275 as emergency pandemic unemployment IF one qualifies. What's even more ignorant about most US residents, they don't realize the thousands of unemployment dollars they received are subject to federal income tax and state income tax if they reside within a state that has one. read more

I love Costco out of all the similar membership warehouse retailers. However, Costco parking lots are not optimal. Their parking lots are usually tight narrow & not easily maneuverable. But this locations parking has the best layout (IMO). This store is bright, clean, has a good layout and are always well stocked (with quality products) and organized. In the last few months they've expanded the warehouse, added more products & updated their shopping carts. This location also has the following for your convenience: large entrance & exit, self check out lanes, food court, pharmacy, optical, photo center, gas station & tire center. The staff is friendly & helpful. You could always find someone for assistance. On occasion, I've needed assistance loading heavy items (i.e. cases of water) in my cart & in my car and they've always happily assisted. This is by far my favorite Costco (from those I've visited) in Broward & Dade. read more

If you're looking for a "big box" store; this is it! It's kind of like a one-stop shop for produce, snacks, meat, pet supplies, basic clothing, jewelry, electronics, wine, beer, alcohol, and even gas! The location is great; however it is next to a BUSY intersection & a BUSY shopping center. There is plenty of parking; but you may have to walk a ways on busy days. It also can get really busy, especially on weekends. They offer great customer service; but again I wouldn't suggest signing up for a new card or making a return on a busy weekend day. If you have a great family, or own a restaurant; Costco is a must to buy in bulk & save money! I don't have a big family; but Costco is still my "go to" for many staples like milk, cereal, and toilet paper. I like to buy fruit there too; you get a lot but in enables me to meal prep my lunches for the week with some left over for snacking or putting in the dehydrator. There are so many great impulse items that it's hard to get out of there with just a few items. We recently bought a vacuum cleaner and a patio swing there. Both things we needed, and we got a great price. They also have many cool seasonal items....for decorations or guys; and they also sell discounted gift cards to several local attractions & chain restaurants. If you're not shopping at Costco yet; you should definitely look into it.....just not on the crazy busy weekend days! read more

I frequent this Costco often on this particular day I was going to get gas and found myself with a low tire reading. Since this Costco has a tire shop I headed right over. It was a Friday so the tire shop had people waiting with appointments. I stood online and waited for numerous people to go ahead of me. Instead of getting inpatient I noticed that the gentleman at the desk (Ricardo) was so patient and kind to every single customer he was attending. I left my car for them to check the tire and a few hours later got a call from Marlon the mechanic said its bad news apparently a nail was imbedded & needed replacement. I asked about the other tires and they needed replacing soon, Marlon guided me through options and discount s and went over the numbers twice making sure I understood everything. Im really grateful that these guys were like angels saving the day even though they were bombarded with orders, & working in that immense heat. We were looking for a necklace but they only have it at the Kendall location. This place was packed but that seems to be the norm here. The lines for the gas pumps were pretty long but the gas was definitely cheaper than normal gas stations. There's a few membership options you could choose from and the benefits of being a member is great. 1. Cheaper gas 2. Buy products in bulk for cheaper There's a lot of merchandise and food items to choose from. I really like they're food stand, they give out a lot of food for cheap! I really love their baked churro, chili, and beef hot dogs. The lines to checkout is pretty chaotic and people will bump you with their carriage. The customer service is pretty good. They had a bunch of tables to eat your food. Overall, it's a decent place to buy your grocery needs, one thing that might deter me from coming often is the craziness and massive amounts of people but when I need items in bulk, I'd definitely come back. This store is super busy on weekends and we made the mistake of visiting after the tropical storm visited. Several areas for parking and their delivery lot was literally under water, seriously! The store seems to cover all the same items as the other two stores to the north. This store has many associates walking around, but none seem to be helping clients. Areas are stocked ok overall and their samples here seem outside the normal food type testers. The drop in score is 100% surrounding the fast food area at front. Never have I seen so many mistakes and uncaring responses. You order thru a self kiosk, the order pops up on paper behind the line, but they don't use that system nor get items available in advance like other stores, then calling out complete orders. No ... here you need to then get into a line and wait to provide your receipt so that they can make your items or grab your Churro. Meanwhile the cash order area is blended together and creates a complete mess. read more

They tell you it takes 1 to 1&1/2 hours but they can't make that happen. I saved $30 over Firestone but not worth the extra wait and there is not a comfortable place to wait. read more

The concept of Costco and the products are great, but everything about the experience at this location from the time you pull into the parking lot is utter chaos. The hours for opening aren't early, and the close time isn't too late in the evening. We got our membership and have barely used it for the simple fact we actually dread going there so all the excitement of moving somewhere that was closer to a Costco went out the door. Based on the test results a specific in-ear model was recommended and ordered. When the hearing aids arrived, the follow up fitting and instructions on wearing and their use also went well. My first time in any Costco Store, so my only point of comparison is with Sam's Club, but the problem with that is that if I didn't know which one I was actually in, I don't think I would know the difference between the two. To me, it's like trying to distinguish between two shades of pale. The one thing I can say about this Costco Store is that it is HUGE! It's a lot bigger than many of the Sam's Clubs but I have hit one or two that are pretty close in size. Since I am the only person in my household and the sizes of what you buy here are so big, I didn't buy much. But, I must say that the prices represented phenomenal deals and it was rather clear that the quality of items didn't diminish all that much with the prices in comparison to retail non-club membership retailers. The grips I have with this store however, at least when I was there, was the near nightmarish parking which I understand even gets worse on weekends. Then, the checkout line, but I really can't complain too much on that point since, though long, move rather rapidly. Overall, for price and quality, I'll go Four Stars which is identical to my rating of most Sam's Clubs. read more

We recently moved to Fort Lauderdale area from Tucson and decided to come to this Costco for our regular gas fill up and major shopping haul since it's the closest to us. Coming from Tucson, I was expecting it to be busy but not to the extent it was. The place was packed with people and that's when they are only allowing limited people inside given covid and all. We initially stood in the line to get gas and every lane was so full of cars. Probably took us like 20 minutes to get it done which was probably the longest I have waited for gas, apart from the lines during hurricane season. When we went inside to shop lots of people everywhere and it was very busy, but all the workers were super helpful and very efficient. The stuff is the same as any Costco and always at a good price and decent quality. I absolutely loves the fruits, wanted to get everything available, but had to keep in mind that I was only shopping for two people. When we got to the checkout line, surprisingly despite the crowd, it was done fairly quickly. They have multiple people working at each counter and the speed at which they work is remarkable. Even though this place is very busy, it's definitely our Costco to shop at from now on. read more

How have I never reviewed my Costco? I've been coming to this Costco for over 10 years! Once in a while for a quick run in, maybe 10 minutes or less, but more commonly about every 3 months for a 2+ hour stop to make sure we are stocked up on everything possible. What's not to love about Costco? From contact solution to steaks to engagement rings, almost everything is a bargain here (I'm still questioning the furniture TBH). What do I hate? Mostly just the parking. Even on a Monday afternoon at 4pm the parking is always atrocious here, but I learned to deal with it. You let me buy organic food for less, warm my soul with amazing wine collection, save me money on gasoline, keep me hydrated, contributing to my steak-eating ever growing weight, reminding me to take my vitamins, and I can buy things high quality and in bulk. Of all the memberships programs I participate in, you are by far my most favorite. I love your Kirkland Signature brand, and choose it over any national brand, at all times. I think it's a great in-store brand. Your consistency of good quality goods is applaudable which explains why your revenue and profits have been growing relentlessly. You spend zero dollars on advertising, and somehow manage to drive customers to your stores, all the time. That's because we all appreciate you. That is because we all in all have a great experience when we visit your stores. Your employees are paid well which is why they treat us well. You are a smart cookie, Costco! This review is pretty much almost the same as the NMB location. It's almost the same distance. This too can be also a mad house. Set up is different at this location. I'm usually here on the weekends. By then it can get pretty crazy!! Their parking is smaller and the layout is super odd. The times I've come here when super crowded I've had to park at the far end just to avoid the craziness. Their clothes, let's just say they have a huge selection. In the women's selection they have some nice looking wardrobe. But the downside of the clothing: the bloody sizes. I tell you for both the men and women it's a mission looking for your size. It seems like they are mostly supplying L-XL clothing. I am serious! There have been a couple of polos I wanted to get for myself. Of the many times I've stopped at Costco I can never find a size small!! A good selection of other items such as office, household, etc...you can never go wrong in finding what you need. Just be prepared if you go let's say the week or two after that same item you eyed on will be moved to another section. I swear this company is constantly changing items around, switching from one spot to another. So pretty much you will be going up and down every isle. Along the way you will end up buying things you weren't expecting to buy. All in all for the most items you will be eating or using everyday, and for the best bang for your buck, Costco is the way to go. read more

Very disappointed in the pharmacy. Went there because of the prices on good Rx. When I went to pick up prescriptions they would not honor the good Rx prices. I was in a hurry so only argued twice but was overcharged 15 dollars, one dollar more than I would have been charged if I went to my normal drive thru at Walgreens. My cashier today (I believe her name was CT) she was so rude, zero customer service and was even rude to to my children who were attempting to say hello to her. She has zero customer service skills. Came to this location as I was in the area and needed Gas. So I filled up at the pump scoured for a parking spot and went in for a Rotisserie chicken. So I make it to the back of the store. Nothing is laid out as it is in Aventura thus it makes no sense. Deli mixed up with Bakery and low and behold in the center after the meat section drop cloths and a construction site on where chickens would be. If you peel back the plastic you learn no Rotisserie chicken until two days from now. You have got to be kidding this solely was the reason I came. So I settled on some Grilled Chicken skewers in the refrigerated section. This stores lay out makes no sense. I guess they want you lost and frustrated so you will shop more. Well that is exactly what I did bought a bunch more stuff I desperately needed and than headed to the cashier. Lines were moving as most customers were probably still lost in the store.
