Very disappointed in the pharmacy. Went there because of the prices on good Rx. When I went to pick up prescriptions they would not honor the good Rx prices. I was in a hurry so only argued twice but was overcharged 15 dollars, one dollar more than I would have been charged if I went to my normal drive thru at Walgreens. I do like Costco and when you need to buy in bulk, Costco is definitely the place to go. They are really good about keeping their inventory in stock and I very rarely cannot find something that I am looking for. The employees are typically very friendly and pleasant. It's truly not that expensive to become a member and they have a few different annual memberships that can be chosen from. The only complaint I have is that the checkout lines, at times, move very slowly. They don't always open all of the registers and that caused the ones that are open to have more customers in them. They do try their best to keep them moving; however, if you go on a Saturday or Sunday, you have to expect to wait in the checkout line around 15-20 minutes. I am not sure why they don't have an express lane (or two) because when you only are purchasing a few items, waiting in long lines with customers who are paying hundreds of dollars can get frustrating. However, this is only a small hiccup in the scheme of things. I also like how they carry the protein powder that I use and it is much cheaper to buy it here than online or in another store. read more

DISCRIMINATION!!!!!! The ladies in the refund/ membership sectioN discriminate people!!!needs to get fired immediately. I went over there two times and the same thing happens. They have two lines one is for the refund and the other one is for the membership. I got in the membership line. The first time I was there with my cousin he just visited from Europe and we was trying to understand about upgrading the membership but we left because they made fun of us because of our accent. Last time I was there and trying to get my membership access (forgot the card). Nobody was on the membership line so I went to the ladies and then with a very rude attitude they sent me back to wait. They started to assist all the customers for the refunds and I was alone and still waiting to be called on. Suddenly someone came from outside for a refund and they service him. This happened 3 times!!!! Then I approached them and asked them why everyone took my spot. She started yelling and making me go to the back to the line. Costco gas is really good. I feel that my car runs smoother when I use Costco gas. The best thing is during their busy times you can pull at the pumps on the wrong side of your gas tank and the hoses are longer and stretch. Very convenient. read more

SOP for YSB is to go to Costco 1st. Being a 4 year veteran of Yelp Spring Break, the 1st place I go when I get into town is Costco. The idea is simple: stock up on the stuff you'll want in the place you're staying when you might be too fried/ wasted/ hungover/ or otherwise debilitated to go out to the store for it. It's YSB. It happens. There will be that moment when you want something to snack on/ eat/ drink & you absolutely do not want to go anywhere or do anything to get it. Being from the SF Bay Area in NorCal, this Costco was like paradise. The Costco only a few miles from my house is always, always, always packed to the rafters with shoppers. Overcrowded doesn't even begin to describe the sheer lunacy of my Costco at times. Walking into this Costco on a Wednesday evening, it wasn't busy & felt calm. I leisurely shopped & cruised the aisles, picking out YSB essentials for the long weekend ahead. Compared to my Costco, this Costco really is "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" So for YSB '16, my recommendation is to go to Costco 1st. & hopefully, that Costco will be more like this 1 & less like the 1 I go to at home. read more

There's that saying, "It's the little things..." Then there's Costco, where big or rather plenty is the operative word. Today, was my pre-holiday power shop. I do this usually before birthdays and special occasions that land on the weekend. My trick is to get to Costco when they open to beat the crowds and not fight through the parking lot. This Costco's parking lot is not for the timid. I get in, and grab my stuff, and get out of Dodge as fast as I can. Today, was no exception. I had my lab results yesterday, and once again I failed at albumin (protein), so in addition to the ribs, my primary mission for the trip, I had to find some protein shakes I could drink at work. Costco came through and I found some Premier Protein shakes with 30g of protein each. Now, we're talking. I have the protein I need, along with the protein I want (the ribs), so I am set. I was in and out of that place in 10 minutes, thanks to the self-checkout. Note on the protein: I have to say that these shakes are not cheap. I have gotten them at Walmart and Walgreens, and I always feel like I have been robbed when I buy them. Most of the common brands make me laugh at how little protein there is. I don't care for the powder, although when Trader Joes opens here, that may change. I like those...oh I am rambling. The Premier Protein at Costco gives you twice as much protein per serving, and costs about a nickle per gram. The ones at Walmart cost about 9cents a gram, and I don't even want to try and calculate Walgreens. This Costco really only works if you get there first thing. The parking lot is not easy to get in and out of because of the way it's situated with the entrance. So, I strongly recommend you avoid this location if you are a mid day shopper. read more

From wine to produce, from electronics to clothing the prices are to the advantage of us members. Service and personnel are attentive. Returns are done without hassle. I went here today for the first time ever looking for some paper products that are so hard to come by these days and left with a lot more than I intended. We found paper towels, but according to the store assistant, you need to get there first thing to get toilet paper. No surface cleaning wipes to be found but we did find hand sanitizer. I don't remember there being such a good supply of organic fruit and nice water at the pompano store. We found some great organic strawberries and raspberries at a great price! They have beyond meat in a 5 pack too! Over a dollar cheaper a pack here than the super markets I go to. Also, I had forgotten how great the selection of quality wines was. I had to buy the Whispering Angel Rosé, a Sancerre, and a great Malbec. We bought a case of peligrino in glass bottles for a dollar a bottle cheaper than we could have gotten elsewhere. I couldn't find any canned soups but I may have just not seen them. We also got some organic nuts that were a good deal. I find this store a little more mellow than the pompano store. People are a little less pushy and a little more polite. All and all a pleasant and profitable experience. I'll be back bright and early soon for some toilet paper! read more

It's a hate love relationship here. Between the parking and long checkout lines and the rude people it's amazing we all come back at least once a month. The value here is what we come to love the wide variety of products from electronics, jewelry, home furniture, basic household needs, and almost any kind of food fresh or frozen. You must have a membership to shop here and the fees are very reasonable if you take advantage and come at least four times a year. I usually shop and stock up on items from paper goods to meat and fish and of course I do buy lots of wine here they do have great prices on wine. There are always sampling food or you could eat at their food court. Personally I want to get in and out as quickly asap. I hear they have great prices on gas but have never been here for that. Since this is warehouse shopping you need to put your items in boxes, they do provide them or bring your own bags which I do. They do have an online store and I'm sure you can get about anything at very good prices. I have bought TV's here and have been very satisfied . Customer service is ok considering the amount of people who go through here everyday. They do have a good return policy I think they take back almost anything no questions ask. So I had a BJs card back in the day, but a single girl really didn't need all that stuff and eventually let it go. A few years ago, I had a large party and my friend took me to Costco to get easy frozen appetizers. She also had me get a bruschetta, which is out of this world! This year, I found myself wanting it along with gummy vitamins. My good friend and a fellow Yelper let me borrow her membership card to get the 2 items I needed. She shall remain nameless to protect the innocent. I went on a Saturday. Yes, I know it's one of their busier days, but I survived! I perused the isles and ended up getting what I went in for along with a plant and a few other items that were not on my list! No, I didn't get a 149 oz. jar of mayo but I did expertly determine if the bulk item was a value to me. I was handed sample after sample and by the time I was done shopping, I was full. We don't have a big family, but we still love Costco. Our son LOVES coming here for the free samples. He's five years old and when we go here he runs up to each of the sample ladies, trying to grab a sample. (Yes, sorry, we have yet to teach him patience or how to ask politely, but we are working on it.) One time, a sample lady yelled at him because we couldn't keep up with him and he was grabbing stuff. When she saw us though, she let him have the sample. (Yes, he's a little piggy.) Anyway, there's plenty to buy here even if you have a small family. The rotisserie chicken is a great deal. They are really large chickens and they season the birds well. We also manage to buy a lot of frozen items for lazy days when we don't want to cook. The membership is especially worth it now that they just installed a gas station here. Today, regular gas was 3.29$/gal as opposed to 3.49$/gal at the Shell station by our house. So, bottom line, we are Costco fans in general and this one location doesn't disappoint. read more

Getting an optometrist appointment was easy enough but, my goodness, I chased them down for two entire months trying to get them to fax my prescription to the LASIK Vision Institute in Ohio as part of my lifetime warranty requirement with no success. I eventually had to just download a paid app on my phone to fax my own script because, try as I might, after numerous phone calls and signed releases of information, that eventually became the apparent path of least resistance. read more

Is this just the mecca of consumerism/capitalism run amok? Never care I, because it was indeed shopping heaven and I didn't need to feel guilty if say I wondered into that evil black hole of worker's oppression and despair (you know, Walmart) because Costco treats both their workers (and shoppers) quite nicely. First of all you could practically dine and have lunch on all the myriad of yummy samples. Then the huge amounts of savings on buying so many goodies in bulk. I do worry, being single, buying such things as meats & cheeses (albeit you can freeze meat) in such large amounts, but the duck and lamb came in pretty workable portions - and the cheese I shared with friends and neighbors so I don't feel bad (and I still have plenty left over for my own greedy belly). Wine afficianado's and overall alcoholics you will love the many economical choices Costco offers; apparently Kirkland (the parent company) like Trader Joe's, has their own brand(s) of wines and I can attest their Malbec is yummy (wines, cheese, bulk crackers? heavenly picnic!). I'm also hoping the co-worker who invited me takes me back because there were some great prices on plants, appliances (I have my eye on a vitamix!), clothes and books - I really need some time to rummage down every aisle. Just one warning; I don't know how you could possibly come here and not spend several hundred dollars - so make sure you have ample room in both fridge and closets back home because sometimes our eyes are bigger than our tummies! read more

Why is this place always so busy?!?! It's the Eighth Wonder of the World! I must say I think the Photo Lab is TOP notch, and I renew my membership yearly just to take advantage of the professional prints at AMAZING prices. The staff in the photo lab has been there for years, and they definitely know their stuff! I LOVE the quality of all of their prints, canvases, etc... I highly recommend. The store itself is laid out well, despite their being more people in there than sardines in a can...the lay out does not make you feel claustrophobic. The people who pass out samples are always very aware of who is grabbing for them, and never ever serve my children without my permission. The check out lines are always long but are constantly moving. My kids LOVE the hot dogs and pizza, but now they only serve Pepsi products... and I am a Coca-Cola girl! read more

Costco! Oh Costco! How I love you Costco! With a growing selection of organic offerings, prices and product sizes that meet my needs, I can't help but find myself shopping Costco for just about everything. An interesting piece of clothing on occasion, a new book from the limited reading selection, inspiration for patio furniture, and most importantly, the food selection is difficult to beat. I find everything I need. The only problem is that the diversity of products from any one brand is often limited. For example, if you want to buy a body wash from one company, you will need to be a fan of one body wash item from that company. Diversity does not abound in brand selection for customers, but that's an integral part of Costco's business model. Still, I'm not complaining since I've clearly been a longtime shopper. One recommendation would be to include more organic products and get them on the shelves and into the refrigerated sections fast. I love the food at the front. It's so affordable and great for a quick bite or small lunch. Otherwise, just taking a stroll around the store to consume plenty of samples will usually do the trick. In the back, the pre-made pizzas, pastas, salads, etc... are great! I use some for a quick meal during the week or as dinner sometimes. LOVE ME SOME COSTCO! and THEY LOVE THEIR CUSTOMERS! read more

Became a member of Costco in Pompano on sample road. The store is very well organized and clean. I always wind up buying much more than what I came for. They have samples of different foods throughout the store which are delicious. I find myself buying a lot of the food I sample. One thing that is not so great is the parking. If you're really lucky you may find a space within the first 15 minutes of arriving and not have to walk too far. When leaving the store they have people at the door that check your cart to count how many items you bought and compare that against your receipt. Sometimes you can get out fairly quickly, other times there's a line of people waiting to leave the store. Depending upon how diligent the employee is at the door, that's how long it'll take to leave the store. I've had extremely positive experiences returning items without receipts. Costco never gave me a hard time no matter how big or small the item was. Overall I think it's a great store and the employees seem to be treated very well. read more

It's really good. - About 15 minutes into shopping, you lose your will to live. - Your lack of will to live will manifest itself by you blocking the very wide aisles and go very, very slowly in front of others. If you live alone, or just have a roommate... the best things Costco is for... - Optical. The Lenses and glasses are actually quite a good deal, and quality of lenses is great. - Photo printing! Awesome and Quick! 17 cents a print. you can upload from your computer at home or work, and then go pick it up in an hour, or up to a day later, depending on what time you uploaded and clicked the print order button on your computer. (they'll even email you with pick up time for your order). and they have the variety of sizes, and options, just as if you were in the store to do it. (And yes, you can still bring your memory card in and print from the station in house too) - cases of water. you gotta stock up for hurricane season! And about 4.20 a case of water. isn't a bad price. As for the bulk of Costco goodies... It's great if you have a party, the typical fanfare is there. and you can order cakes or cupcakes for birthdays/etc if you like. And nothing beats a cheap (but greasy) lunch for under 2 bucks. :) read more

This company's quality is going down hill fast. Purchased two bikes, both of which were not properly assembled and did not work correctly; Used to look forward to their cashews -- large and fancy, now they are full of cheap small incomplete pieces (like the el cheapos); all of the pistachios are out of date and taste stale (last three trips). What is going on with this company. The help is always nice, but cannot control the quality of the goods they sell. Finally, you may niotice there is nowhere on Costco's website to comment or complain; no suggestion box. . . .
