It does what it says on the tin. I don't expect and don't ask for more than that from a Costco gas station. It delivered.

Nothing really to see here it's gas! lol But for real Costco is the only gas I try to get because it's that top tier gas! Always has the best prices...now lines are usually long as hell sometimes even put in the rowdy way. But that's what being the Top Tier gets you. Lot of money!! I'm writing this review as I'm in line with 6 cars in front of me. And it doesn't matter, I'll gladly wait! I come here almost weekly as my commute to/from DC puts plenty of miles on my truck. In fact, I get angry if I have to visit another gas station during the week because I've become accustomed to Costco prices. So why am I such a loyal customer? The price. They simply can't be beat! Today I'm paying $2.19 per gallon for 93 premium. Costco beats out the competition by at least 25-30 cents a gallon. I'm all about saving money on necessities! Can be a long line but totally worth it for the well priced gas. Cheaper than wal-mart, brave the line, it's so worth it!!!! Only downside is that you have to be a Costco member to buy, so don't try to sneak in as you'll have to swipe your Costco card before pumping. read more

Accessibly only by Costco club members. Although always crowded, great savings on gas are well worth the wait. Usually $0.30/gallon cheaper than other stations. Fairly large accommodating up to 24 cars at a time. There is only one entrance to this station so be weary of that to avoid accidents and confusion. The prerequisites to use Costco Gas Pumps are as follows: 1) Costco Membership - Either a Costco membership card of AMEX Costco card is required to use the gas pumps 2) Payment - A debit card with the correct PIN or AMEX Costco card 3) Patience - Unless you're an early bird arriving at 6am you will have to wait at least 10 minutes to pump your gas. On weekends the line resembles traffic from the old mixing bowl days. So be patient. There's plenty of gas! 4) Sense of direction - There's only one way in the gas station and one way out. $.30 below the average price of gas... Yes and thank you Costco for making my life just a little bit easier. Sure, I constantly have to wait in long lines watching 47 year old men pick their noses, and women primping in their mirrors making sure their hair looks good before it blows in the wind when they get out of their cars, but the gas is cheap and always on time. My only dislike or ALL Costco stations is that they don't have full service attendants (yes I said FULL service) and they close early. Sometimes I don't want to get my hands dirty or pay with my card (there's so much dissonance between those two factors that I just laughed at myself). First because this Costco is further from the gas hub than Fredericksburg or Fairfax, the prices are always higher. It's pretty disappointing when you pull up thinking you're going to get a good deal, only to find that a gallon is 5 cents more than your local Wawa. To add insult to injury, the station is very VERY small, has one entrance, one direction of use, and is normally packed with cars. Crazy. I would never recommend trying to fill up on a weekend. Not unless you're idea of a good time is avoiding a full size game of bumper cars followed by a long wait. This gas station really was a bad idea for the Potomac Mills Costco. Always have to wait about 10-15 minutes in the afternoon but it's definitely worth it a full tank lasts as much (or more) then competitors charging more per gallon!! read more

Half of the pumps weren't working this past weekend. There doesn't seem to be enough room for all the cars at the gas station.

I came here before work to get gas at 6:30AM. The gas station is suppose to open at 6AM. After I inserted my card and everything I see that the pump is locked so I go to the office and no one was there....long story short I was late to work bc no one opened Costco gas on time. For Costco Card holders, this location has some of the cheapest gas in Northern Virginia! That being said, this places gets jammed pack with cars, especially on the weekends. This is one of the main reasons I deducted 3 stars. It comes to a point where I wonder if saving a couple extra cents per gallon is really worth it. I have come to the conclusion that it is not worth it for my gas saving cars. In fact, I am finding not a lot of worth bringing my big car here either. The Station has gone through a couple of renovations which include an upgrade on the pumps and an expansion of the gas storage. Never has this station put in more pumps, though. For starters, the current row could be made longer or there could be two sections of pumps. For goodness sakes, we are in a mall area. Do something! I come here less and less because of the long lines. I believe that the lines are because the pumps are slow at pumping gas. I find myself going to Sam's Club gas, because it is within a fraction of a cent of Costco and the lines are shorter. I suggest you find another station rather than this place. It is not worth going around the Potomac Mills Close Call Loop Road and waiting in a line that sometimes goes to the entrance. read more
