Finally, a standalone gas station for my local Costco! I really love the ease of purchasing gas at Costco. Not only because it's a tier graded gas, and usually has the best price, but the other thing I value most is I don't have to worry about skimmers. Costco makes sure the payment pad is always secure and that every time I pay at the pump there are security stickers and measures taken so skimmers can't be added onto the payment pads. This gives me peace of mind because I've experienced being scammed at other places and it really is so troublesome to get all that sorted out and to fix my card and trying to get back the money stolen from my cards. Peace of mind is so undervalued in this day and age and I'm happy that Costco can provide that for me! read more

I love the newly remodeled costco gas station in garden grove. Theres 5 gas pumps on each side with a total of 30 pumps! i've coming here every Wednesday around 8am and theres hardly any lines or wait time, just drive straight up and pump. The gas station very organized, easy to access and to leave compared to the old one and other costco gas stations. Not sure how it is during the day or weekends, but so far I love pouring gas here in the early morning. read more

Super easy to locate the gas station. 5 spots to fill up per lane! That's awesome compared to what I'm used to up at my locations in NorCal. Friendly attendants walking around and helping customers. Clean gas stations. Only inefficiency preventing from quickly being able to exit is the intersection of the exit and cars speeding by without a stop sign to go straight for the gas station or to turn right for the warehouse. read more

It's been a while since I came to this Costco gas station. They moved the entire station to the other side of the main Costco building, which creates more parking and a better flow of traffic, so great move. The rows for fueling are long rather than wide, so three rows with five pumps on each side, so they can accommodate 30 cars at one time. It's can still get busy, but much improved. It's also the best value when using a credit card, especially if you get cash back. read more

Probably my least favorite spot to get Costco as I've found it the most crowded based on where the gas station is located in the lot. They did just open a new gas station on the other side which has a lot more spots to fill. It's 6 rows with 5 pumps on each side. They also have the light to indicate when a spot is open as it'll turn green. Can't go wrong with the gas prices. I'm not sure how the flow will be with the new gas station but it's still crowded. read more

The gas station is recently built in September 2025. It has about 30 pumps (6x5) It is very clean and spacious. There is no wait most of the time. The prices are very competitive. The quality of the station is very good and high tech with LED signs showing open/busy pumps so you can see far away before selecting your lane. FYI: there is only 1 exit route to the left, near Del Taco entrance. If you are not good at U-Turn, make sure to choose the lane as far from Del Taco as possible so you can have lots of space to make the turn. Hopefully they will build more exit routes in the future. Other than that, I really like this new gas station :) read more

Have you been to the newly remodeled gas station at this GG location?? It is NIGHT and DAY difference from the old one on the opposite side of this Costco! Since it's one of the latest Costco gas station, they finally put indicator lights when one is available. I believe there are about 6 rows and there are 5 pump stations each side of the row. I've gased up here maybe couple times now since the remodel and the gas lines haven't been long at all for all the time I went there. It's still a trek to go to the gas line because you have to cross past the Costco traffic but there are two other ways to get there and bypass the Costco traffic. I hope it won't get to crazy later on but right now this is my fav Costco gas! Usually cheapest due to the city location and so efficient right now. read more

As I always say, It's Costco and its gas. This particular version has a decent amount of pump and the ability as noted to fuel either side of the vehicle. It also is usually the cheapest price in the area and such was the case her ebeing about 30 cents than a nearby station. Assuming people know what they are doing there is also a middle lane for you to hop ahead of a fueling car with ease. read more

Almost no wait time because there are 30 fueling stalls. Each stalls are spacious so cars can easily come and go.

Came during a weekend afternoon. Waited 15 minutes to get to the pump. There were two pumps a line and the lines move slowly. After scanning your card, it takes a minute or two for the system to load. This happened for several pumps. Regular gasoline was $3.79 a gallon. read more

This gas station is at what's known to be one of the worst Costco parking lots in California. It doesn't help that the line to get in for gas is shared with the rest of the shopping center. There isn't any resemblance of an orderly fashion - would be helpful if employees were stationed to direct flow of traffic for a more positive customer service experience. Instead, it's a free for all. The best times to go are early in the morning when the pumps first open - to late at night, after the Costco warehouse has closed. Costco gas is considered top-tier, and you do save up to $1 a gallon - but you have to ask yourself whether idling for however many minutes is worth your time in saving a couple of dollars. read more

Could be a lot better. Considering it's in Garden Grove which is one of the busiest cities in OC, I'm not surprised by how congested it always is. They have a decent amount of pumps, but they're all squished together so they don't look like much. There's always a super long line in each lane and the wait is about 10 minutes. Best upgrade that Costco has done. It is now the best gas station in all of Orange County. 6 lanes each with 5 pumps, with good entrance and exit design. Flow of traffic's is also less backed up in the surrounding street area, and it doesn't affect parking for Costco as much as the old location. I've lived in Garden Grove long enough to experience the old location for Costco Gasoline. The old location always had super long lines, and each line only had two pumps each. There were also no LED light indicators that displayed which pumps are available in the moment. It was pretty crowded at the old location until about 2 months ago when I noticed that Costco was building a new gas station in Garden Grove to replace the old one. That day has came just recently, and I gotta say this is a very welcoming upgrade over the old one. I was surprised to see so many pumps in one single line, and I'm pretty sure that Costco planned this way ahead of time knowing how packed the old gas station was. During my last visit 3 days ago, it was not as packed (either because it's not busy at the time or people just haven't realized there was a new gas station built). Entering and exiting there went smoothly. I gotta say that this upgrade is fresh and very well needed for everyone! read more

I stopped by this Costco gas this morning to put in gas for my wife car. Since I'm in the area I figure Costco would have the best price for gas. I came right when they open to avoid the long line and I arrived 5 minutes before they actually open but there was already a small line. It wasn't too bad if you compare it to the afternoon line. This Costco gas isn't the most up to date like there no indicators to tell you if a gas pump station is occupied or available like other Costco gas I been too. Also the logistics of the cars and such isn't the most ideal depending where you enter through the plaza so be aware. I looked at the map bird eye view first before coming here so I would know the layout. read more

Came here to fill up my rental car while on vacation last month, right after attending a baseball game at Angel Stadium. This is one of the two Costcos that were closest to where I used to live in Anaheim over a decade ago, and I'm surprised I hadn't written a review prior to this. I really dislike the location of this gas station and its traffic flow. The reason is because most of the vehicle traffic goes right past the main entrance, through the parking lot, and, when the waiting queues are long, cars are waiting in line right in front of the main entrance. In order words, drive defensively! So that I don't have to go through the parking lot, I have always entered from Taft, the nearby side street, and I did the same thing for this most recent visit here. The line of cars entering the far right queue is usually shorter anyway. There are two pumps for each line, and many of the customers were making the wait longer by staying behind the car in front of them, even when the pump ahead of that car had no car at it. Ugh! So frustrating! I still came here after consulting the Gas Buddy mobile app, since the difference between the gas price at this Costco was about $0.15 less than the next cheapest gas price at another nearby gas station. Exiting this gas station was a lot quicker! If I still lived in the area, I would definitely come to this gas station to save $$. read more

This isn't my favorite Costco gas station to go to. Sure the prices are great, but it's not really the most convenient one to get in to. They kinda wrap you around weird depending on which location you go in to. And it's not really the most obvious route so there are times when other people unkownlingly come in and are cutting you off after you've been waiting in the proper line. It's frustrating, but I try to not get angry at them as I know it's not their fault. Lines can also get kinda long depending on what day/time you come in. I highly recommend coming here in the morning close to opening if you really need/want to get in and out. They need to put the occupied and open lights like in Cypress. Cypress and Tustin Costco remodeled their gas stations to have lights indicating that a pump was open for use. Those stations also have 3+ pumps in one lane. Garden Grove Costco only has 2 pumps per lane. There definitely could be some improvements. They changed their entry system, which has greatly improved traffic. read more

I was on my way to Disney and needed gas at Costco and planned to go to the Fullerton Costco on Harbor, but my GPS directed me to this location. They had a fast-moving line for a Saturday morning at 11 a.m. compared to other Costco gas stations I've been to. This gas station blends in with the parking lot making it a little bit more hidden? It's also off the main drag and the parking lot backs up to a residential area so it's feels like once you're in, you're locked in. There isn't really room to back out of line or cut across to get out as the exit out of here is also limited. I would definitely choose this Costco gas over the Fullerton location if you're headed or leaving from Disney. read more

Have to say this is the worst Costco gasoline I've ever been to. Horrible detours for cars to the pump stations which cause even worse traffic. Not sure why they can't figure out a better way to help with the traffic at the lots. Also there are a lot of uneducated people who cut, drive the wrong way, or just can't drive that don't help the situation. I'd avoid this particular gas station unless you got time.
