I been to this Costco gas station before but that was before they did the makeover. So I finally had to opportunity to come today since I went to Costco first for their executive hour where you get to go in a little earlier than the general public. They were not busy when I came so I was able to pull to a gas pump right away. The makeover seem to add more pump station now. It was simple and easy process for me with no issues. I like going to Costco gas station because you don't have to deal with anyone trying to sell you stuff or asking for money. I mostly go to the Simi Valley location since it's across the street from my work or the Pacoima location since it's near my house. read more

At last the redevelopment of this gas station at Costco in Northridge has been completed. They now have three pumps per a lane. Still this Costco gas station is smaller than others. Nether-less this is a vast improvement over the previous station. This station will be crowded and back up during prime time: limited space to line up. Best to go early morning on weekends before 8am. There is a 30cent difference between regular and premium today. Still gas cheaper than Simi Valley Costco. read more

Costco is a favorite place of mine. The gas is just another reason why Costco is amazing. Their gas is consistently much lower than most stations out there, I can't say cheaper than all, but pretty close for high quality gas from an amazing Company. For comparison as of 2/17/24, Premium gas at Costco was $4.75, premium at a major station around the corner premium was $5.59, that is a huge savings! You also get 4% cash back when using your Costco Visa card when buying gas, even better! This is a self service gas station, but if you need assistance, they have associates ready and willing to help. The lines can be long at times, but normally move quick, so be patient, the savings is worth the wait. Pro Tip: As of this post, this location will be closing the gas station to expand and amount of pumps, etc. to help service better. The dates as of now they will be closed from March 11th - May 10th, bummer, but will be even better when they reopen. The actual Costco will be open though of course, only the gas will be shut down. Honestly ever since the new renovation several months ago, I've been really happy and loving how smooth getting gas has been here consistently!!! I thought things would be back to being chaotic pre-renovation but the addition of the pump machines and I think the speed of the gas pouring really makes this station now one of the best Costco gas stations I ever get has from!!! I love the new renovation and style that they implemented with the new Costco gas, it flows a lot better with less wait times. If you haven't been to this Costco gas, they have some lanes that have 3 pumps in a lane which helps get through more people. The gas prices at Costco are always unbeatable compared to its competitors. I will always be coming back to this Costco gas especially being so local, but I will either be going early in the morning or late at night to reduce the risk of waiting in line. More than once have I gone to this station at opening time only for the staff not to be present to unlock the gas pumps. Today there was a long line at 6am but the assigned employee had supposedly overslept and another staff member had to cover his duties and unlock it. read more

You can't beat a good deal when it comes to gas especially with the gas prices these days. They always have the cheapest gas process around but because of it, it tends to be pretty busy starting at around 8am. I love this location because they are open til 9:30 at night so I can go either in the morning when they open at 5:30am or at night after the the evening rush hour dies down. You must be a Costco member to use the gas services. The employees there are very kind and always walking around to help others. read more

Normally any Costco Gas gets a 4-5 Star review. Why the 1-Star? Because I rushed here nearly on empty from Porter Ranch to get gas before they close at 9:30pm. I arrived at 9:20pm and the chains are up and not a car or person in site. I double checked Google, Gas Buddy, Yelp AND Costco's own website. They all list their hours until 9:30pm during the week. Sunday afternoon, got out of surgery few days ago still has staples & stitches in my arm, barely can hold paper cup of water. Gas line was backed up as usual as I come fill up at least twice a week. Two attendants says I can pull up to faster station by pulling pump onto other side. I told them I can't cuz of a surgery on my arm. One of them says he'll help me out. BUT when I got out of my car I saw one of them pushing out a car. There were 2 but they need 2 guys to push a car? Afterwards they were chatting and laughing about something. you know if you cannot help don't pretend you will. Does that make you cool? Silly asian dude with a hat & sunglasses. Other Costco gas stations have more pumps, sensors on ceiling to show pump occupancy. Please update this station. Van Nuys & Pacoima is even updated. This Costco gas station is usually a few cents cheaper than the Santa Clarita location. I am not sure why. If I dont get gas in Santa Clarita I usually come here. This location has 5 lanes for gas and they just recently upgraded their gas fuel pumps with new pumps with LCD displays. read more

The absolute WORST of all Costco gas stations by a mile. I have no clue how it's four stars... the one in Woodland Hills is light years better and 4x faster. Where do I begin with this mess? 1 - It literally took 35 minutes to get gas... on a weekday at 10am. 2 - This is old, old, old school Costco gas -- only two pumps on each side (and no vacant or full signs). Most Costco gas stations have three pumps but they don't have the space here. 3 - It's a total, absolutely 'fustercluck' of people coming in and you have no idea where to go. There's a small hidden lane on the left that you can come through, then turn right and in... or, the main way, which is a stoplight, which puts your around the the parking lot and just a total mess of cars. You go into the pile and wait and you and everyone don't realize there's actually a car wash place on the left (which is like a boulder in the middle of the river of cars) and the mass of cars blocks a lane they want. But, there is NOTHING from Costco telling you where to go, to stay in the one lane. Then, some worker from the car wash is literally "MFing" us all and I barked back at him because it's none of our faults. It's not their fault, I now understand why he's furious because Costco does nothing to put an employee out there directing traffic. Total mess. 4 - The pumps are INCREDIBLY slow -- seven minutes for $60 worth of gas. Not joking... SEVEN MINUTES to fill up a regular car. It wasn't just mine, the lady behind me and I arrived at the same time and we both started and ended at the same time. 5 - ONE employee who stands off to the side. Someone was having issues with their pump and the guy was yelling for help and the worker didn't budget. The guy finally ran over to the guy and basically dragged him over to help (I don't know what the problem was but I had plenty of time to watch). It's not shocking why this is a perfect storm; too tight of space to get all of those cars in, two pumps per line, and those pumps that take way, way too long cause an epic traffic jam. I would say the Santa Clarita Costco gas station "used" to be the worst I've ever seen and that takes about 20-25 minutes but this EASILY is the worst Costco, the Van Nuys one is 'meh', long but moves fairly quickly around 15 minutes, and the Woodland Hills gas station is easily the best; five minutes at this same time, 10-12 minutes at its peak. It's not worth the money you save, just go to any other Costco. This one is an unmitigated disaster. Costco needs to get a hold of this mess and put employees out there to direct traffic... and they need to speed-up the pumps, that's critical. read more

This has been my go-to gas station for the past 3 years, mainly due to the proximity to my work and gym locations. Prices are of course as always lower than almost any other gas station. However, what i love most about costco gas, besides the prices, is the hours of operations. They open as early as 5:30 on weekdays which is great for my type of schedule. I believe the newer ones have about 20 or so pumps. Although the line looks long, most of the time, the wait is about 5-10 minutes. I don't mind waiting because their prices are usually $.40-$.50 cheaper. If you have a Costco Citi card, you also get 4% back. So win win read more

As with all Costco gas locations (except for the Woodland Hills one for some reason) this place all depends on what time you visit. If you go during the day, especially weekends, expect long lines. BUT, if you go later in the night, you'll most likely drive right up to a pump & be in and out in no time. That's when we go. Prices are always plenty lower than other gas stations in the area so that's the cause of the lines so it's a bit of a trade off. Just keep the lines in mind. If you're looking for a quick fuel up, this might not be your best option. Yelp Challenge 2016: 27/100- I am a Costco gas regular customer. I find their prices to be the lowest anywhere (with the exception of those "cash only" places). This one has an easy entry that's almost hidden- right off of Tampa- take that little itty bitty driveway right past the car wash... This could is one of my favorites of the Costco gas stations for ease of traffic...two pumps in each lane. Yes, you might wait a bit longer for these low prices- it's not exactly a secret anymore- but I think the cleanliness and low prices make it worthwhile. They will be accepting American Express until June 19, 2016. After that, only VISA & debit cards and will be accepted. Early morning's when it's best to come but I've seen shorter lines at midday on a weekday. Gas here is almost always cheaper than other places; ARCO would compete with them at times but I trust Costco gas far more than ARCO. You may want to pay attention to their inspection days. Please do something about the insanity in the parking lot to get gas. The entrances to the entire shopping center get backed up and dont move during busy times. I've watched people sit in the main entrance to the gas station and refuse to turn left causing a huge back up onto tampa. I've also watched people not pull into the center lanes for gas while holding up all the traffic trying to get into the parking area. It's a nightmare. Even with cones and traffic control it's totally out of hand. The poor car wash just has to deal with all the terrible drivers blocking their business too. You should do some lane restructuring with semi permanent installs so people can figure it out. read more

Gas Prices are da Bomb!!! Can't beat the price anywhere if you don't mind waiting for 10 mins or more but the line moves fairly quick. The lanes are wide which is good for entering and exiting thru the aisles. The gas hoses reach over your car so you don't have to enter on the side of your gas tank. The station is always clean and there is an attendant if you need help. Didn't think I would have much to write about a gas station but these are things I observed..lol I Love Costco overall! Apparently this Costco gas doesn't care about opening on time. Supposed to open at 530, which is great because I work at 545 about a mile away. This morning I sat for ten minutes after opening with a bunch of other cars and no Costco workers in sight. Frustrating when you're trying to get stuff done before work! Need a Costco membership in order to use Costco gasoline. This is one of the reasons to get a Costco membership. Costco gas stations always charge cheaper than normal stations. Plus, with credit card, you can select for gas rebate to get extra rewards. The bad thing is that Costco gas stations are perpetually busy and could be long waits, especially on weekends.
