No more discount value Costco's fuel prices are equal or more compared to over 75% of the stations in Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria. I would drive 7 miles for Diesel to the Deer Valley Costco, NO MORE. I can buy at my local Fry's at equal and sometimes lower than Costco. I polity asked a manager whats with Costco's fuel prices being higher than most of the stations. Response was snubbed and shrugged her shoulders. Lately when I go to Costco the fuel islands are mostly open, when the lines use to go out to 27th ave. Today I paid 8 cents a gallon less for premium at my Fry's compared to Costco. ALSO Costco claims there Diesel contains up to 5% bio, it either has it or it doesn't. For a couple of years my mileage was a little higher using Costco diesel, no more additives. About April 2025 my mileage dropped on average 1 MPG. Nothing wrong with my engine everything is up to par. I went back to Sam's which is about 4-5 cents a gal less. Started using additives again mileage back up. Sam's does nothing special with diesel where Costco claims they add special stuff to make it Top Tier, no more. read more

Be careful when your shopping if you have to use the restroom and Fabian's working, he will stop you, tell you you can't go through the line to get to the bathroom. Take stuff out of your cart because he won't let you go to the bathroom with stuff in it. Never never never never had this happen at another Costco. I talked to the managers. Nothing. Why does an automatic, self-service gas pump require an employee? Honestly, I don't really understand why this gas station needs staff when the stations appear automated just like any other 24/7 place. I drove up to a gas pump around 9:05 pm and the employee yelled out that they were closed. I asked if it was just an automated machine, and he said "nope." As you can see in the photos, the place has an automated gas tank and also a feature to verify your Costco membership. Maybe I'm missing something, but I thought having the employee refusing to let me get gas 5 minutes after closing time was weird. What does he even do, supervise me pumping gas? I don't get it. Worth the wait. My car requires premium and at the time of this post... regular is $2.739/gallon, premium is $3.139/gallon. I find that typically the cost for premium is about the same as regular at non-Costco stations. There's ALWAYS a line but you'll find it moves pretty fast with 12 pumps in use at all times. The staff is also helpful and courteous. FYI...you cannot use MasterCard or Amex credit cards to pay. Also... for anyone who doesn't know or maybe you live under a rock You need a Costco membership card to be able to buy gas. read more

Buuuuut because of that, their gas station is always crazy busy... which is the knock on this location. I've waited for 20+ minutes for gas multiple times, and there's not as many gas pumps as other locations as well. This location is near my job and it's consistently the lowest priced gasoline in the area. They open as early as 6am during the work week, which is the best time to go in order to beat the crowds. The afternoons are always busy, so plan accordingly. It's a smaller lot, compared to other Costco gasoline stations, and I am surprised I haven't witnessed an accident yet. Costco is awesome, almost so reputedly awesome that it never occurred to me review it....because, duh, it has free samples, $1.50 jumbo hotdogs that come with a soda, cheap gas, great hummus, jumbo size bottles of vodka, pizza slices too big to fit on the plate, tubs of jelly beans and satisfying Lululemon knockoffs. But this location, my home location, is just so friendly and welcoming. When my twins were babies, I used to wear one on my chest and one on my bike as I marched through the store devouring the samples. And, now 5 years later, it is the EXACT SAME adorable ladies passing out the samples. Every week they tell me, "Wow, look how big they are!" (yes, we go every week). And yes, they are big because they have been eating Costco samples their entire life! At the end of our excursion today, I carelessly attempted to move the strawberries from my cart onto the conveyor belt using only one hand -- i should have known better, NOTHING in Costco is meant to be picked up with one hand -- and such, it resulted in many strawberries on the floor. I felt foolish.... until I met Tim. Tim, as it read on his name badge, came to rescue me, scooping up the strawberries and reassuring me that, "it happens all the time." Hmmm, really Tim? Sensing my doubt, he added, "it even even happened to me the other day." And then he scurried back to bring me a new thing of strawberries. Thank you, Tim. I love Costco gas! The lines here were not long, and the pump fills my car quickly. It has something to do with clean filters that are replaced frequently creating a faster flow rate than other stations. And their prices are so cheap, cheaper than any of the other stations in the area. I haven't had the chance to go inside this Costco, we only came here for the cheapo gas, but my other favorite thing about Costco is the free samples. But while your waiting - Pro Tip: Please have your Costco card and credit/debit card ready BEFORE it's your turn. I hated watching the gas guzzling hummer gym rat dude struggle to find payment in his wallet AT the pump with 4 cars waiting. - he was queued for 10+ minutes before his turn.
