Rented a car during our Portland trip, so sought out the closest Costco to the airport. This location was it, with 4 islands, each having 3 pumps, for a total of 24 concurrent nozzles/spots. We came around 11 am, and it wasn't too crowded with most queues having at most 3 cars waiting. All the pumps have the extra long hoses, so cars go to either side, regardless of where their fuel cap is located. I did notice that for most queues, cars would wait until all three slots were open before proceeding (eliminating the need to go around cars, or worse, backing in to parallel park on a middle spot). Once it was our turn, we got the middle spot. Using the citi costco card meant one tap is all it took to validate membership and provide payment method. And we only had to pump 5 gallons so was done quickly. We did leave first, going around the first car, but didn't bother looking to see if the next car in line would try to parallel park into our just vacated spot. Also didn't notice if there was a full-service lane (remembering that until 2023, this was the only way to pump gas in Oregon). read more

Lines are long but these attendants really move quickly. If you are in a full service lane , they advance the cars to the front so that they are pumping three simultaneously. Seems logical, but doesn't happen at most gas stations. Costco has their people trained correctly. Gas prices have gone up considerably in just the past two weeks, so saving 30 cents a gallon is worth driving a little out of the way. read more

This is the best place to fill up on gas if you have a Costco membership and a rental car in Portland. It's cheaper than the surrounding gas stations (can check the price on their website/app before going) and only a short drive from the airport. They have both self-service and full-service lanes here, and are open an hour after the warehouse closes, which is helpful if you're returning the car at night. read more

Great price and the lines always move fast. Be sure guys to remember you can pump from either side of your car as the hoses are extra long to allow for this. They used to have actual signs reminding folks of this. read more

Costco gas is always cheaper than the gas stations outside, so of course, coming here is better if you can wait. The lines were quick when I went. They also have workers filling up the gas tank for you! read more

One of the best gas stations around.; I know it's Costco, but the value, and how quick and friendly the employees are, it's really worth the drive out of my way for the gas. Right now, it's one of the lowest prices around and you can tell with how busy it always is, but again, the line goes super quick- they do three cars per lane at a time, so the cars generally all get done with and the next three pull up- really good system (I'm sure there are flaws). August of 2021. They pump for you and u can put in your PIN number to your debit card or they can. Price was under $3.50/ga where others are close to $4. Lines were super short with only a couple of cars ahead of you (I'm from HI and our lines are down the street). Easy and close to the PDX airport so I didn't have to overpay for gas. Like all stations in Oregon, they pump it for you and Costco's everywhere should offer this to get people in and out quickly. Would be a great value to Costco Members all over, and may make those lines less daunting. read more

Have you really lived life if you haven't gotten full service at a gas station? I just drove to the gas station hoping to fill up on some gas. I see drivers not getting out of the car and then I realize what's happening and I get all giddy. I give my Costco card and credit card, tell them the type of fuel, and open the gas tank cap and that's it! It's also pretty cheap too; when I went it was $2.65/gallon for regular. One cool thing is everyone will help everyone else out. One worker starts the fill and then walks away to help someone else. Then another worker will see that the fill is done and will close the tank and give you the receipt. Even if there are a lot of cars each section has groups of three stations so the line moves quickly. Milestone achieved! read more

Painfully long lines, regardless of the time of day, for marginal savings on petrol. You'll waste more money burning gas while waiting your turn than you would save by avoiding other stations. I'd recommend a Fred Meyer fuel station over this one, if such an option is convenient for you. Otherwise, recline your seat, take a nap, and you'll get to the front eventually. read more
