Didn't get a call until the next day and we agreed on a day 2 weeks out. Then I get a call today saying the business name has changed to San Francisco something and we had 2 no shows so they sent the hearing aids back and they no longer accept her insurance anymore. Ummm....what?? 1st off I called to reschedule... He argued that I didn't call... Really genius?? Then how did I get the other appointment?? And said if I called on Monday there was none there to answer the call, just the doctor. It's not my fault he wasn't there to do his job and it shouldn't have counted as a no show if I informed them earlier. Then says we no showed 3 days ago when I had it down for next week and didn't get any reminders. But the part that really gets me pissed is the fact he said they sent them back. I'm like, already? After 3 days? He said, in a rude manner, I don't know when they sent them but they did and now you have to go somewhere else. I have worked in the medical field at private practices for many years and this is not how you do business. And I can tell the front office help is lazy because many times I have left messages and have not received calls back. Save yourself the trouble and go else where! If I could I would give 0 stars!

This is a business that doesn't care if gets your business…read more.. Had an appointment this morning, but decided to cancel because of the front desk person. The very first impression she gave was indifference followed by a hacking cough she tried to suppress (not wearing a mask). She walked in from the back room (of an already small office lobby) briefly looked at me, then gave me papers to fill out and started to turn. I asked if the pens were clean since there were no labeled pens and only 2 or 3 in the pen hold can. She said yeah as she was turning away. I forgot my mask and went back out to the car to get it, since they didn't have any available (not sure if a hearing test facility qualifies as a medical facility under the Santa Clara County Health dept.). After coming back in and turning in the form she again only looked at me when getting the forms once, and not again until my misunderstanding of what she said. Ironically I am at a hearing test place and heard her say is that 'butt' for your email; not the best handwriting. Corrected her, but was already agitated by the lack of a welcome and the feeling of indifference (with an extra dose of coughing), and then said why would you say that? Say "butt"? I wait a few seconds and she doesn't say anything. I eventually just go to the restroom. When I get out she said only said "bud". Then says it again, while at least looking at me this time, but now looking a little annoyed. Goes back to looking over the form and without looking at me, asks for my insurance card. I followed my instinct and said I am canceling my appointment. "Ok", looking at me with indifference again. I had to ask for my paperwork so it wouldn't be billed accidently. Once I got it, I started to leave, and mentioned she was coughing/sick. She sarcastically said 'bye'. I came back in and addressed her attitude and about being sick. I am guessing they have so much business it doesn't matter how she treats people, because she just turned and walked away... I left, because I didn't feel at that point I could trust them to do the testing correctly, and really didn't want to find out one way or the other...maybe you will get a different experience if you decide to go there...

I'm always able to call and come in the same day for things like a tube replacement, which has been incredibly helpful. The staff is very knowledgeable, caring, and you can truly tell they are passionate about what they do. Appointments with the doctor can sometimes be difficult to schedule, but the team's dedication and expertise make a big difference. They have provided my family member with the best hearing aid options available and continue to offer great support. We truly appreciate the care they provide.

I have never been to a friendlier office that is more dedicated to serving its patients. 4 Rachel is thorough and takes whatever time is necessary to conduct hearing tests and to fit hearing aids as perfectly as possible. This may take 25-50% longer than other audiologists who think 80-20 is good enough. And she does it at no additional charge. 5 Rachel is deeply knowledgeable. She too is deeply knowledgeable, respectful, and makes the visit fun. Rachel and her entire team are exceptional. They have earned my wholehearted recommendation.

They work very closely with the PAMF otolarygologists, so there is no delay between when the testing is finished and when the doctor sees the results. I was charged in advance (hearing clinics generally offer the test free of charge or include it in the hearing aid package). 2. The test could not be performed due to excessive ear was buildup on one ear. They had no one available on hand to clean the ear (something I routinely do my self in a few minutes with common ear drops). 3. The staff were unable to inform me if the clinic offered any kind of payment installment plan. 4. If I were to receive hearing aids, they would need to be ordered from the factory. (Other clinics carry a supply in stock and are able to program and fit them immediately following the hearing exam.) 5. Worst of all, I was told that I would need to wait for 3 months before an appointment would be available to have the new hearing aids fitted and programmed. Because this clinic operates under the blanket of PAMF, they seem to believe that normal customer service is not a requirement for their business. If you are looking for new hearing aids, don't come here!

I saw Ingyu Chun, Aud for a VNG appointment earlier this year. The referral, the VNG testing…read more(videonystagmography), is an extensive test that looks for specific eye movement and to see if you have an inner ear disorder. I've been having episodes of vertigo so my ENT said this would be the next step in ruling out what was happening. I saw this audiologist at Palo Alto Medical Foundation's Mountain View office. The appointment itself took months to make and felt daunting, as I was informed it would take 90-120 minutes long. My experience and appointment with Ingyu was traumatic. The extreme dizziness aside from the last part of the test was one thing. His presentation and care (or should I say lack of care) is why I am writing this review. Ingyu sighed often and was audibly frustrated throughout our series of tests. He made comments that data could not be used and had me redo tests. He yelled at me to open my eyes over and over during the peak of my dizziness and nausea, and asked me "are you even trying?" or stated "you just gave up" during different parts of the testing. I wasn't there for an academic test and it's unfortunate that he cared more about data than about my safety, comfort, and ability to perform said test. I made this appointment to understand my health more and uncover answers on how to better care for myself. And instead, I was berated and felt extremely unsafe and was more focused on when I felt I needed to end the appointment vs. tracking balls across a screen. I was experiencing near panic attack symptoms and nightmares for days after my appointment with him. I filed a complaint with PAMF about his demeanor towards patients, in hopes that he is counseled and doesn't continue this harm towards others. His only saving grace in this review was that he made sure to check in to see if I would be consenting to the procedure, even in between each test we were taking. He explained the risks, including what we could not determine from results of the test. If you are referred to this doctor, please do your research and find someone else. But maybe, if you have him for another type of exam he's different. But is it worth finding out?
