I'll try to make this short if I can. I'm so disgusted with Costco tires it is hard to relive this very unpleasant experience by posting this review. I pre-ordered 2 tires and had to make an appointment for more than a week later to have them installed. It took two people and about 1 hour just to order the tires. They were both polite, but that doesn't make up for the poor customer service. On installation day, they pulled my car into the bay at the appointed time, put it on the lift and then left it there for at least a half hour while the installer was checking air pressure in at least 4 other car's that pulled up in front of the installers bay. When he tried to diagnose someone's TPMS, that was the last straw and I spoke up about this, but it was a lose-lose situation. Never once did I raise my voice or get rude with them. They just don't care and politely say you'll just have to wait. I was told that they would have me out in 90 minutes time (to install two tires) and that I should have been told that beforehand. I could go on and on about the polite, but very poor service. They don't answer their phone. After calling at least 10 times from home with no answer, I stood outside the tire store and called the Tire Counter when no customers were at the counter. The guy at the counter wouldn't answer the phone. I went in and told him about this and he just shook his head, stating they were understaffed. I had to wait 3 times on line at different stages of the purchase, when I ordered the tires (that took about 45minutes), coming for the appointment and then once more after it was finished. There are just gobs of people and cars going every which way. They're certainly understaffed and poorly managed. I guess the belief is that to price the stuff cheap enough that many people will endure standing in line and wait for long periods of time for most anything, getting such poor service and abuse, just to get the product and save a few bucks. There is so much more about how little they value the customer's time and inconvenience, but it would bore you to no end. Suffice it to say, spend a few bucks more if possible and get dedicated service, not someone installing your tires and doing a dozen other things while the installation is taking place. I watch people wait 30 minutes or so on Costco gas lines just to save maybe a total of $5 at the pump. Don't they value their time? Maybe it's me? Costco earnings are doing very well, so is Walmart. Some people obviously do not weigh their time and personal service in their value calculation. I have a Costco card for the last 8 months and been into the store 3 times to purchase one item each time. It's a wasted membership. I haven't even mentioned the horrendous traffic around the store and searching for a parking place. That's it for me, I'll try some other places first, for my next set of tires. Within reason, convenience and saving valuable time, trumps getting the very best price. I guess when you're 77 years old, time rather than money is the important currency. read more
