I went in on Monday with some spare silver coins from my collection. I was expecting to get scrap value for some but many coins were in very good to excellent condition. I was mostly surprised by the value placed on a high relief 1921 Peace dollar that was in XF condition. I knew it was something special and I expected a value of $500 plus but the employee told me that it was worth about $43. He went on to say that the 1921 Morgan dollar was the more valuable of the two dollar coins minted that year. His statement made me question his knowledge or that he was trying to take advantage of the situation hoping that I didn't know the value of the coin. Based on this experience, I feel that I can no longer trust Bellevue Rare Coins to makehonest and I will not recommend them to anyone else! read more

The reason why I gave them 3 stars is because the store is clean, bright and well organized, as well as their locations are very convenient as well, BUT if I was rating them on the customer service I received alone then I would give them ZERO stars! I have gone into the Bellevue location before a few years back and received great service and had no complaints whatsoever. Which is why I was so surprised by the very degrading service I received a few months ago and still can't believe how rude this woman was to me! This woman at the Issaquah location was not only very condescending, disrespectful, but she was also rushing me out of the door even though it was well before closing and nobody else was waiting. She made me feel like because I didn't have the most expensive jewelry to sell (hence the reason I took it there because I never wore it & was taking up room in my jewelry box) that I wasn't worth her time or worthy in general. She rushed through the entire transaction and obviously could not me bothered by any of my questions when it came to not just the stuff I was getting rid of, but anything they had for sale there as well. All in all, I left there feeling very disappointed and disrespected!! I've never been treated by a customer service representative of any company as badly as this before! There was two women there at the time & the other woman was very nice to me she had the shorter hair. This woman had medium to dark brown straight hair that was longer to the middle of her back in length. She really needs to be given a crash course on proper customer service, but honestly if I was her manager I would've fired her on the spot if I had seen how badly she treated any customer as badly as she did me. I was in today for the first time. i have been in Bellevue location. i have seen some familiar faces from the Bellevue location. today was busy around 2pm. i there was no ticket number its just come and wait which got messy once more people walked in. I waited roughly 30 minutes or longer with three people ahead and three employees. It was difficult with two little kids. When it was my turn. I was helped by an asian man. i told him i needed some silver coin which was quick then when it came to the option to gold coin it wasn't exactly what i planned to get. so i had to make a quick call to my partner. i told him can i get a quick minute to confirm. he then said he will move on to the next person and i can wait until he is finished. The phone call took me a few seconds then i had to wait 10 minutes. Then the next white man employee was finished and I told him i wanted to check out. He added the gold coin then handed my total to the Asian man to check out. I feel like a ticket or some sort would have organized the wait. As well as a wait time counter bar how long is the expected wait would have helped. As for customer service, I understand perhaps a customers need a minute to think about or make a phone call to confirm what to pick. Will i be back in line just to take a minute to think what to pick? I felt really rushed to make my decision there or if i took a phone call to ask my partner i get back in line. It is simply the interaction I had with that particular employee wasn't the best. And I didn't get the name of the individual. he didn't make me feel welcomed as a customer. However, i do trust Belleuve rare coins. I had good customer service at Bellevue Location, and the women employee who was here today in Issaquah has been friendly to me and my kids at Bellevue location. If you want to make a wire transfer, they tell you to show up in the morning on a weekday and make sure bank wire competes before 2 pm, otherwise your order is canceled. The charge for use of credit card is 2.5%. I wanted to purchase gold bars from a specific miner and they flat out said I cannot make such request and I will get what I get... I really want to give them business but it is hard. Easier to go online. Oh, they also take a scan of your drivers license without asking you for permission. They do this very causally with a handheld webcam. Very shady. read more

I had a bunch of questions for Zach about the coins, and he provided me with very clear answers and explanations of how coins are graded and valued, and how these standards applied to the coins I had brought in. He basically gave me a brief tutorial on the subject that helped fill in gaps in the information I had gleaned from my internet research. Based on our conversations, we agreed on the value of the coins and a sale was concluded. Today was my second time visiting this awesome store. I'm sure most of you that are reading this know about Marie Kondo. The cute little Asian lady that is ridiculously organized and makes you want to purge everything "that doesn't bring you joy" LOVE HER. So going through my jewelry boxes I found some old broken gold chains from the cool 90's that are not so cool now. Thinking I'm going to walk in drop it and leave with enough money to buy my kid a happy meal. Nope, I got far more than that. We are talking taking my loud 4 year old to Ruth's Chris steakhouse and to a movie cash. Today I took more old "cool from the 90's broken gold" junk to me but they must love it cause I walked away once again with more than 300 bucks!! Go mama. The staff there is awesome and even though they don't have toys, they sent my little kiddo home with a cool little gold coin. It's a replica and he can't read so to him he really truly thinks it came from the pot at the end of the rainbow. They are a real gem to have here in Issaquah.
