I've been in to this one multiple times over the last 8 months and there are SO many staff and all of them have been very helpful and friendly. Worst customer service experience till dateThis was, without a doubt, the worst customer service experience I've had in my entire life. We recently moved to Issaquah and were excited to visit this Home Depot, especially for the Kids Workshop. I had registered both of my children in advance and brought both of them to the store. However, we were given only one workshop kit instead of two. When I tried to explain that both kids had been registered, the staff was extremely rude, dismissed us without listening, and essentially shut us down. It was humiliating to be treated that way in front of my children, and they left the store deeply disappointed. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated incident. On another visit, I needed help finding a tool for my table saw. Instead of assisting me, a staff member spoke to me in a very rude and condescending manner and told me that I "should have known better." I was simply asking for help, which is what customer service is supposed to provide. I have always expected better from Home Depot, and this store has been a huge disappointment. Two separate visits resulted in two negative experiences with unhelpful and discourteous staff. The employees clearly need customer service training, or the store needs to reevaluate how customers are being treated. I sincerely hope management takes these complaints seriously because no customer--especially one shopping with young children--should be treated this way. read more

Complete mess. Ryobi parts locked behind a cage like everyone is a thief, takes an hour to use the paging system to find someone with the code. Next, checkout system doesn't have the plants we picked up to buy, another 40 minutes of waiting to find someone who can figure that out. 5 minutes to find what I wanted, almost two hours trying to check out. Horrible experience. Been a loyal customer for years, and I go in to buy a product, it shows $37 online. In the store they tell me it's $100, and I said no it's $37 look at your site, and then they say well this is an online product... well you have it stocked at your store (with multiple packs available) so I want to purchase it here. I spend $3-5,000 per year at Home Depot Issaquah. Today, I purchased a number of items at the garden center. They advertised an in-store special of two hostas for $10 due to a special purchase. Before leaving the store, I checked my receipt and noticed that I was charged $15 for two hostas. I pointed that out to the cashier but she said there was nothing she could do about it because it was in the computer like that. I reiterated that there was a sign right in front of the plants indicating a special price of $10. She alerted ringing up another customer and told me I would have to wait. I told her "no". This needs to be corrected. She told me to wait until after she finished with the customer behind me (who had a very full cart) and she would check with someone. I walked out. This is the second time this has happened in the last year. The first time I let it go because I discovered the error only after I arrived home. While it may not be a lot of money, I'm angry about the way it was handled (or not handled). I will take this experience into account and, in the future, go to Lowes instead. Horrible. Completely useless employee. I've have been there four times this month and every single time- I've ask for help or a question and the answer is ridiculous. 1. Went for a large tv moving box. The web site said they had 30! None were in the stall- I asked for help and the associate pointed to a pallet on the top shelf and said 'there they are'. I worked at this location from 2020-04 to 2020-09 as a part time associate. This 5 star review is for my everyday experience interacting with managers, coworkers, and customers. Yes, like any retail hardware store, this place has it's challenges, limitations and short-comings. But I was deeply impressed with the character of my colleagues. Zach, Dalton, and Micah in management never failed to put in earnest effort to keep things running smoothly and respect the needs and values of their workforce and customers. The attention to safety throughout COVID was palpable and well led. Angsty customers could be a challenge, but so it goes, and those 3 were remarkably adroit in finding satisfying solutions. Cheryl in HR was communicative and upfront about any the concerns I had regarding my role and schedule, as well as what expectations were for my attendance and engagement. Allie in Order Fulfillment was brilliantly effective in coordinating a team of order fillers and delivery runners. Herding cats is no easy task! Hard-working associates like Ryan and Chris lead the way. Head cashier RJ balances compassion for her team with customer-focused efficiency and a zero-tolerance approach to abusive nonsense from some of the more aggressively demanding customers. Inspiring stuff. Special shout out to the gardening department, who care deeply about the quality of their work, and are immensely knowledgeable about their department as well as general store ops. Lumber department deserves a big shout out. Remington and AJ are workhorses, great at balancing the needs of everyone who visits their extremely busy aisles. In Issaquah, I prefer going to The Home Depot versus going to Lowe's. Despite going through a period of time between 5 to 15 years ago in which Home Depot didn't seem to have experienced retail employees any more, I've noticed in the past several years, that I seem to be able to find some Home Depot employees that are knowledgeable. I do have to caveat this by stating this doesn't apply to the entire Home Depot staff though. The real decision for me is whether to shop on Amazon or through Home Depot. Home Depot's product selection is generally of higher quality than that at Amazon, but I tend to trust Amazon more for on-time delivery. I just ordered an item from Home Depot 13 days before Christmas that was delivered 2 days after Christmas. Returns, however, are easier through Home Depot than via Amazon. I encourage Home Depot to continue paying the higher wages necessary to keep at least some experienced employees in their retail stores as that is what keeps me coming to Home Depot rather than just buying online. read more

We had multiple issues with a refrigerator being delivered before actually getting one. In the end, we got it worked out, but it took way more effort than it should've. You have no idea what you're looking for, and need help with the whole process My review will cover #1. If I have no idea what I'm looking for, and I'm not a DIY kind of person at home for anything more difficult than replacing a kitchen faucet - I will hire a professional. The beauty of technology is with the Home Depot app, you don't need to go hunting for an employee if you generally know what part you are looking for. Go to the app, make sure it knows your location or at least knows which store you are at, search for the part and boom - it will show you which aisle to look. Now, for any of the professional or contractor services - I don't have direct experience with Home Depot, but my parents had their entire home's siding redone using Home Depot's professional services. And they were very happy with their service. Considering it's a 4,000+ sq foot home and several hundred thousands of dollars. A good experience goes a long way. But I get it, your mileage may vary depending on the crew that works for Home Depot's professional services since they do sub-contract it out. read more

I'm currently remodeling many rooms in my home so I'm literally at Home Depot a couple times a week over the past 12 months. Since this pandemic I'm hesitant to go this location anymore. The number of employees either not wearing masks or not wearing them properly was ridiculous. There shouldn't be any employees not wearing masks and I counted 6. And the number of customers was absurd also. No employee was asking customers to put their masks on that were hanging around their neck. A one employee was a supervisor. But every time I've asked for help, the lack of training and/or knowledge really reflects in either management or company culture. My last visit, there was a greeter that asked if they could assist, they went and got someone for me and that person had no idea to help find what I was looking for, and went to find someone else - eventually we got to the manager who said, ask "so and so" and so the chase continued. We eventually didn't find who we needed to find, so the person helping went up and literally stood in an open space and pointed "it should be RIGHT here" well clearly it's not... 10 more minutes of looking at small boxes when the item I was looking for was clearly a large box item - we found the person we needed and she just shrugged and said "i don't know, ask the manager" went back to manager and he said "well - she's suppose to know. let me go ask her." it was all a waste of time. so I left and found the items i needed else where. moral of the story - go and know what you are looking for or find out how yourself but the help you seek to get most likely won't be there. read more

At first when the roof was complete than came the rain I have them come out to fix it's several times. Now After 4 years my roof leaks called them and they said they don't do roof anymore and tell me to find a contractor and they pay for it. Finds 8 contractors all said the same things the roof put on not in accordance house code, sealing was poor and the roof CANNOT be REPAIR. Give them all information that my roof need Replacement Not Repair. 7-8 months after my roof Claim not Settle. I'm about to file Lawsuit. There were issues and significant Delays in scheduling delivery as well as the fact that the sales woman charged my credit card TWICE. She was incredibly rude when I asked to speak with her manager. Never install carpet in Homedepot. I bought carpet from Homedepot a few weeks ago. The installation service is bad. They just put carpet on floor/stair and they don't care the appearance at all. They just stapled every corner. I am not satisfy with their installation during the work, but the worker continue his work and he said he will fix it. But they didn't do anything with it. I refused to sign the paperwork, but homedepot insist I agreed to their job. Homedepot even refused to provide a document of their installation guild or standard. They can decide the installation standard as they want. The store manager keep calling you, but there isn't any actual solution for refund or fixing the problem. Check the photo to see how bad the installation is. 1. Every steps of the stair aren't consistent. 2. They make a few scratches without any fixing or refund. 3. I had a very positive experience at this Home Depot the other day. My kid lost her house keys (again) so I ventured here to get a set made. There was a guy making keys for a customer, and another customer was in line to get 5 keys made. I realized, being the third customer who'll be assisted, that I was in for a wait, and I prepared to just hang out until it was my turn. Another customer appeared by me, also needing keys made. Quite the cluster of customers, all of a sudden. And then another sales guy appeared, asking who's next and said he'd make my keys (the 5-key guy in front of me was being helped by the first key-maker). I was so impressed that another key-maker showed up when we customers did. Instead of having to wait 10 minutes or so as I had anticipated, my keys were made in 2 or 3 minutes. Nice! Then the icing on the cake was how friendly and efficient the cashier was. I wish I had gotten her name, but she was initially from New Jersey and her kid had lost his house keys growing up, too, so we bonded over that (!). She was lovely (I had heard her talking to the folks in front of me in line, too. Just genuinely nice. A real "people person"). It made my shopping experience here a pleasant one. read more

I can't believe the negative reviews this store has. I was fortunate to meet Andrew who was exceptionally helpful with all my purchases! Andrew helped me get an 8X 10 shag rug onto the cart and then when I mentioned that I needed 7 blinds he took me to the blinds and actually cut them down to the exact size I needed. Andrew was so helpful and he explained all the different option on the verticals and then he talked to us about how he and his father-in- law did the pleated shades installation and it wasn't that difficult. He was super helpful and a pleasure to work with!!! When we went to pay RJ was very astute and came to help a new cashier look up my card. She saw that he had some difficulty and she came right over to assist. That was excellent team work. Love this location and will definitely be back!!! read more
