Very disappointed with the food service area outside. I called and asked if they take pizza orders over the phone and they said yes. I gave them my order if 2 whole pizzas and said I would be there at 6:30 I called at 5:30. The person asked for my name and said I would have to wait in the whole pizza line. I got there at 6:39 and had to wait 45 minutes. I expected to wait maybe 15 minutes but this was ridiculous. Why take phone orders if it doesn't matter. Don't take phone orders, they didn't ask my name even when I said I preordered , they just took it off shelf. Very disappointing read more

this costco is absolutely horrible!!! everything about it is atrocious! the store is low stock, the customer service is awful, and main manager who is a white women is thee worst!! i came to this costco location because my dad is currently bed ridden which happen so suddenly btw, expecting to go to costco for him for his groceries like i normally do because he isn't in the best condition and is a paying member and loves buying bulk.... he is new to the area and so am i. i go to the front to scan his membership get harassed by the employee in the front who was so incredibly rude. i then speak to the main manger the white women w the very thin eyebrows and she was even worst then the first. i told her about my situation and about my father just recently having a stroke and needs my help to get his food for him and if she could just make an exception this once because i wasn't aware of costco ever being so unpleasant and hostile. went to a different location and the understood perfectly. so my advice would be to stay away from this location if you would like to shop like a normal paying customer and not treated like a criminal and have every employee member chase you out the door..... absolutely horrible store and service never returning!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

So I called over an hour ahead of time to place my order for 2 cheese pizzas and 2 pepperoni pizzas. They tell me it's gonna be 1 hour. I get here in one hour and they tell me I have to get in line with all the other people. So after they help 10 people it's my turn and they are out of cheese pizzas. So now I have to wait 10-15 more minutes because they gave mine away. This is ridiculous and I will not come here again. I will also tell everyone I know never to come here. We were in last wk. to purchase 2 tools boxes & were helped by the super helpful, informative, & alway's more than pleasant Wendy. Loading these Husky boxes certainly was a chore! Jacob, Rick, Cameron, & Nathan were the brawn that manuvered & carefully loaded our new lg. tool boxes. These boys were flexible, capable, & careful w/our precious cargo. Thanks to all of em'! Then OT helped us w/choosing a Tuff Shed. He mentioned he was a new employee but went the extra mile hunting down someone w/a key & allowing us to look inside. Boo! SOLD OUT FOR THANKSGIVING- Costco's popular bag of homemade yeast dinner rolls! You know... the ones you specifically drive all the way to Costco to buy for your holiday dinner, because they look and taste just like homemade, after you warm them in your oven? I drove out there last night just for the rolls. POOF! GONE! Not a yeast roll left in the building! And the worst part was that the store manager told me "the rolls would remain SOLD OUT till after Thanksgiving!" Talk about blowing it? WHO does the orders at this Costco anyways? Hey... My Mother and I have been coming to this location for years. The customer service has always been great and we've never had any issues. However, today was a completely different story. While my mother and I were trying to check out the cashier Dinah G started out by giving my mom dirty looks. My mom told her that there was going to be 2 separate transactions and Dinah started in saying that we couldn't make 2 separate transactions. My mother asked her why and she said it's policy. We told her that we've never had an issue before and she rolled her eyes and said you can't do that. She has to have a membership card to check out. She was extremely rude! My mom asked to speak to a supervisor and some young guy walked up. My mom explained the situation and he said that we could not check out in 2 separate transactions that it was the, "law" I said it's the law?! Then he said well it's policy. I told him we've been doing this for years and it's never been a problem before. He said that they were getting stricter about this and that it wasn't allowed. Then he said well if you pay in cash we can do it. I said, you just told me that it's the Law that I can't make a purchase unless I have a membership card.. but now your saying that if I pay with cash I can make a purchase? He said yes. I then said so I can bring anyone in here and as long as they pay with cash then they can shop... he said yes.. I then said.. so I'm here with my mother and you won't let me purchase my items because I don't have a membership card and want to pay with my debit card,.. but you'll let someone else pay with cash?! He said yes. I then asked to speak with a manager because he was contradicting himself. The manager James came over and explained that I needed to have a membership and that they have been getting stricter on the policy. He explained that only membership members would be able to shop. He did make an exception and let us check out however, I feel that we were racially discriminated against by Denah and the Supervisor! Denah even went as far as putting all of my items back in the cart and told me to get out of line so that she could help the member behind us who was a white man! I told her that I didn't feel comfortable with her behavior because this issues has not been resolved yet. I asked for her name and she shows me her name badge on her shirt. She was extremely rude and seemed as if she hated her job and people! Perhaps customer service classes should be given to cashiers and supervisors as well as policy training should be a center of focus. The manager James was the only person who actually seemed like he cared. While this is probably the last time I ever shop at Costco I will make sure to let all of my friends and family know about how they treat customers and people in general. Denah and the supervisor also told me that my name would have been on the recipe showing that the membership name was different however after reviewing the recipe that was another thing they lied about. I get that it is Christmas Eve and perhaps they are unhappy that they have to work. But they chose to work there and customer service and humanity should always come first! I live in Moreno Valley and I like visiting the Lake Elsinore location because it's never crowded. I was appalled that I seen 5 employees without the proper face mask and using a face shield as a face covering. A face shield is not under CDC or state compliance regulations. On the Costco website it states "Costco is firmly committed to helping protect the health and safety of our members and employees and serving our communities We are closely monitoring the changing situation and complying with public health guidance" Based on my visit this is not following state guidelines or protecting the public. What is funny is they are selling face shields and on the box it clearly shows somebody having a face mask under the face shield how much more clear do you need to make it???? They are also allowing customers with the no face mask into their stores and allowing them to shop. read more

I LOVE Costco but I had a bad experience at this one in Lake Elsinore today. I've been a member for 13 years and this makes me genuinely sad. I'll be using other locations going forward. The problem was fairly simple and partly my fault but the two ladies working the register were rude about it for no reason (never saw that at a Costco before!). I'm shopping with cash this week while I wait for a new debit card in the mail, so I made sure I brought enough for what I wanted to buy. My membership expires in September but the month isn't over yet. Nevertheless she said I had to pay the $120 renewal fee before I could check out. I explained that didn't leave me enough cash remaining for my items, so could I do it online or any other options??? Her partner stepped in with a really loud "NO she has to PAY it!" There when you need them, Costco seems to have stores up and down the state of California at the most critical points when we need gas. And always good quality gas. And this time we had to stop to pick up some delectable lamb chops for our big family dinner the day after Xmas. They are dependably wonderful, meaty, tender, great quality. And if you cook them just right (i.e. med rare with plenty of garlic and rosemary) they are food for the gods. The meat selections are some of the best around, both prime and choice cuts. The best part was....even though it was so near Xmas you could hear Santa hollering to his reindeer to stop playing their reindeer games, this store was not packed with people. We enjoy going to Costco we like to stop by the food court to order food. Pizza and hot dogs are pretty much our favorite and price is great. The store is very clean and staff members are friendly. They always have a good variety of samples to offer to customer while shopping. Although, I feel that some items are cheap and others you can probably find a bit cheaper at a different store. Alcohol is cheaper here compared to any other store we always get our alcohol here for our parties. worst costco i've ever been to, first time ive actually left the store without buying anything because of how terrible the customer service was. today on 4/1/24 i came in around 5pm it was moderately busy, i walked in with several groups of people and even as i walked up had watched multiple people walk in with no issue, but the second i walk in the door i was pulled aside by a big blonde woman with overalls asking me if she could she my card... I was really offended because why would she just ask me that and not anyone else? I showed her my card and continued on, when I could not find what I was looking for I asked another blonde woman who was stocking shelves if she could point me in the direction of where it would be. She was also extremely rude, interrupted me and said "if you can't find it we don't have it" I then just walked away and left the store. Came with a big list of things to buy, left with with nothing but a experience so bad i felt the need to take time out of my day to write this. Stars only for nice employees. Parking is always a nightmare at this location and having only one staff at the Tire Center desk is too small. Marcos was very nice and helpful. Selection was poor, literally only had one brand for my car. Price is average, but not at all competitive or a "deal". For a Sunday afternoon it wasn't a terrible wait, 20min in line to check my car in and 2 hours for all four tires to be switched out. On a side note, a men's bathroom with only 3 stalls is too small for the amount of customers they have. There was a waiting line of 5-6 people to use these stalls. They should have been required to have a larger bathroom for the size of the business. read more
