This is exactly what it says it is. It is a place where they purchase pallets of returned items from places like Target and mostly Amazon, place them on tables or bins and then the public picks through. I've been on different days and Friday is actually the best day to go although their items are $8 a piece that day. It's basically worth it because that is the day that they stock new items out every 30 minutes to an hour. You can get cart full of boxes that you don't know what's inside and take them up to the front and they will open them for you one by one so you can see what's inside. It's like a Christmas junk hunt! I have found some very expensive items here for just a few dollars. You can get carried away though. When something is just two or $3 it's hard to pass up even if you don't need it. Even though I have found some really great deals I have also seen how much useless merchandise is manufactured just to be wasted. You don't want you opening boxes at the table and only at the open box counter. They actually make announcements that they will ask you to leave or kick you out if you are caught opening boxes at the bins. I visit at least twice a month. What is this place. This place is nuts. You walk in and everything is thrown in rows of large blue bins. And depending on what day you shop, the price varies. Whatever day it was that I came in, it was $6 for everything. I walked each row where people were rummaging through piles of merchandise. Even though it was the weekend, not too many people. Overstocked Bins is this crazy discount house where you can find all kinds of anything for insanely low prices. Located within Outlets at Lake Elsinore, this is a very large business, housed within a warehouse style facility. Inside, you will find tons and tons of clothing items as well as all kinds of other stuff: including home-goods, rugs, towels, small appliances, toys, you name it. In fact, when I went in, I found a very high-end professional photographer/filmmaker lighting stand, still wrapped in its original packaging, that was just amazing. The way this store works is that they charge a specific price between one dollar and eight dollars each day. This price ascends as the week goes on. So, on one day, the price will be one dollar for any item you buy, the next day, two-dollars, and so on. I imagine on the one dollar day, a lot of people are there to finding clothing. Though I did not buy any clothing when I was there, I did check out what was being offered. What they sell is very nice, new clothing for a great price. I would image you could come in here and buy a complete wardrobe for a very small amount of money. As mentioned, they also offer other items. They announced, when I was there, that they do not want people to open sealed boxes or they will kick you out of the store. But, you can bring them over the counter and their staff will open them up for you if you need or want to check them out. There are a lot of sealed boxes, offering all kind of new, unused items. So, again, if you need something they have for sale, you can get a great deal on it. I noticed that they have limited staff. When I was in the store, there was just one woman operating the payment counter. They have a cash line and a card line, and she was operating both. I only had to wait a few minutes though. We were on our way home from San Diego and spotted an outlet mall and decided to make a quick stop on the way home. I've always seen stores like these but never actually been to one so I was low key excited. This place is comparable to the BINS aka Goodwill Outlet. They just have several bins loaded with tons of merchandise. On one side it's all random stuff that looks like all Amazon returns. Some items are still in their box so you can't really tell what it is although most of them have the original sticker with a short description. You're not allowed to open the box, you have to take it to the front and ask an employee to open it for you. On the other side it's all clothes. Like mountains of clothes. Most of the clothes were 90% Target brands. If you dig long enough, you can find some gems. I found some Reformation pants! Some notes: People bring their small children and let them run around the place. So expect to hear cries of boredom. Expect to hear the employees on the overhead speaker telling people to watch their kids every 5 mins. Also, be prepared to hear the employees remind people to not try the clothes on every 5 mins. Annoying, but people don't read/follow rules so they have to constantly be reminded. I probably could have spent hours here digging, but I got tired and I also had my toddler with me (I had her sitting in a shopping cart). I used to love this store. It used to have great prices on clothes 3 for $10 or even as low as $1 on certain days. They've raised prices to the point it's not even a deal anymore. A lot of the things in the clothing bins are from target that were on clearance that didn't sell. Sometimes I'll see stickers on them priced at $3-$4 from when they were on clearance and now overstock sells their clothes 2 for $10. Also, don't bother with the "mystery" boxes for $20. They look like unclaimed packages being sold but they're really just junk that overstock can't sell stuffed into a usps box. I literally got a pair of scissors that look like they've have been chewed by a dog and a bunch of unmatched butter knives in mine. It's a scam. read more

Have heard of this place, but have never been here before. Tucked away in a shopping center off Jefferson, we happened to stumble across it when getting gelato across the way. It was a fun little treasure hunt, but after the first couple of bins, the appeal was lost as all the items were repeats and became redundant. We found a couple cool finds, but the box of dog poop bags we got had been opened, rolls were removed and it was taped back up again. Maybe it would be worth it to go on a day when it's $1-3, but most things were definitely not worth $5 (Sunday). A lot of items were still in boxes and Amazon packages and just crudely thrown in random bins. It was a little disorganized and really set my OCD off. They speak to clients as if they are doing you a favor by selling products to you. Every Friday before opening, there's a line of people waiting outside. I've arrived hours before to stand in line but so many people cut in with family, it's not even worth it anymore. I've gotten there two hours before, with about 15 infront of me, then 30mins before opening , it turns in to 40 or 50 infront of me. It's so disappointing to just be standing there for hours while others barely waking up just cut right in front. They have security, they should use it. The employees are inside hours before, they should have a security guard outside to watch the line. Also prices for some items are so dumb. They put expensive items in the back of the store with prices that are almost as expensive as the regular price in store. Have been visiting this store every Friday for about a year. I no longer shop anywhere else. I find everything I need here. Not in one visit, but if I know I can use a household product, I'll stock up. Friday mornings are the best day to get high priced expensive items for $8. The line gets long while waiting for the doors to open but it's worth the wait. While waiting in line, I've made some really good friends and I enjoy the camaraderie. They pass out raffle tickets while in line and give away some awesome prizes. I've won twice over the past year. Overstocked is like a treasure hunt for big kids. Sometimes, the unlabeled boxes are the best surprises. You open it at the open box station to see if you want it or not. I have opened things like Apple headphones, and iPhone, expensive watches, and unique items. The jewelry is a great collection of mostly fashion jewelry but I have found a pair of 14k moissenitte earrings and good quality fashion items. And the jewelry is never priced over $3. Nowadays everyone is looking for that ONE BIG DEEP DISCOUNT, AND OR DEAL, they have them all over now in the area, this was our first time to this location, a where house of sorts, a lot to choose from for those who do not know a bin store is where they either get a pallet of things and then either bid or buy wholesale and then offer at a place for sale at a discount everyday has a different price of the day ex: $1,$3,$6 etc. of the week, it was nothing out of the ordinary, every single table had same things on the tables. Also, they would every 30 min or so make an announcement in (english and spanish)about to keep your kids with you, do not open the packages if you need something ask the security for help, what they should have said and make as a rule if you are caught opening, you BUY IT does not matter, would make more sense. Then security escorting you out. Which they really were not watching people. Was really stupid. Only got maybe 3 things, it was so so. 1 out of 10, I give this place a 6 out 10 was ok, could have been better, there are some bin stores that I have been to that were so organized, clean. And with bin stores, the cleanliness is not the best, you do not know where peoples hands have been or if they have been sick, etc. just a thought. I would have given this place more stars, but I changed that idea today. I find many items that are worth it. This place is big compared to others. They take out the expensive items and place them on the shelf behind the counter. Today, I purchased a few items from that shelf, and you must buy them immediately. Then, the staff puts in a bag with your name on it after purchasing my other items. The bag I had before was gone. Someone took it. How? The manager looked, but no luck. She repeatedly said she could give me a refund. I told her to have a better system. Someone said they were me, and no staff member checked the receipt. The items were hard to find. That's why it is a treasure hunt. Other patrons tried to help but were stunned by the situation and how it was handled. So beware!!! read more

What an awesome store! I could definitely see becoming addicted to this place. I first heard of "salvage" stores from a blog avoit where clearance items that don't sell go and containing a list of all those stores in California. This was the closest to us so when we were out in temecula for the day decided to come. It was $5 day and there was a lot of great deals! We walked out spending $100 so that was kinda crazy but they really have a lot. I got some elta md and la roche posay sunscreens for $5 each! Normal retail is close to $30 each. They also had dermablend body makeup in my shade. Similar retail price for $5! I also got a large bottle of aloe which retails for 5 but don't have to make a different trip. I picked up a bottle of theordinary niacinamide serum which retails for a little over 5 however when I opened it at home it was hyaluronic acid which retails for about $10! I regularly use niacinamide not hyaluronic acid but it was a good surprise because I get to try it for half price. I also got 2 pairs of ear protection for the shooting range, a toilet repair kit that we suddenly just needed a few days ago, a self help book, large container of Clorox wipes, large hand soap refill jug, and some hair fibers for thinning hair. Everything we got was over $5 in value each except a couple items around $5 in value however the $30+ items made up for it and saved us in gas buying elsewhere. We will make a trip out here for the $1 day and see what's good. I wish there was more/better clothing items. There was a nice high quality denim skirt that was really cute and in fashion but it wasn't really my personal style. read more

I have been coming to Overstocked for a few months now and every week it gets better. On Thursdays they do a live sneak preview of new inventory on facebook. Fridays are the best with so many electronics, home goods, tools and all big name brand items. Fridays used to be $10 day but now everything is ONLY $7 on Friday and Saturday. I try to go both days because the deals I get are always AMAZING! They also do fun giveaways every week. I won a projector which I have been using to play backyard movies by the pool and my kids love it. I have got a brand new Dock a Tot which retails $150 for $7. A brand new Juicer, a smart toaster, a coffee machine, a wireless hair curler just to name a few of my favorites. They also have a premium wall where you can get more amazing deals but these of course wont be bin prices since they are worth so much. I got a $700 air filter for $100 2 zero gravity lawn chairs with tables for $40 and a brand new Bassinet for $30. I usually stick to the $7 days but I came out on the first time for $3 day and I scored a brand new YETI tumbler FOR ONLY $3 BRAND NEW! I loved $3 day I got so many great deals. I learned my lesson not to shy away from the other days. I think $3 day is my new Friday and I will be going more often now. Pretty much you can go any day of the week and get an amazing deal.
