Costco on Lougheed in the middle of Port Coquitlam. Parking is available in the surrounding lot. Plenty of spots. The place is nice and busy. Like the other locations, they really need to change the lineup area. The line backed up halfway across the entire store. With that said, this location is somewhat less busy than the Burnaby (Still Creek) location. Lastly, the Montreal smoked meat sandwich and fries with gravy felt good. read more

I will preface this review as being centred around the hearing center. My mother had to come here to get her hearing tested and to explore hearing aid options. The entire staff in the hearing centre department were so kind and patient towards my family and I. They made the process seamless and efficient. I am unfortunately terrible with names and had written them down, but I lost that piece of paper so I do want to stress if management does ever come across this review to please give extreme kudos to the hearing center team. The rest of the staff that we encountered at this location were also kind, and there were no qualms. The space was clean and the food court staff were also very efficient and quick. This location is not the typical one that we go to often, but I would recommend people to come here for their hearing aids easily! read more

I like the Port Coquitlam Costco. It seems to be a bit bigger than the ones in Vancouver or Burnaby. There is a gas station attached to this Costco. They have way more variety than the other Costco. But best of all, it is less crazy as the other Costcos. Finding a parking spot here is a lot easier than the ones I usually go to. Since my last post, I found a tasty way to use and enjoy the 'chicken & veggie dumplings' -- via homemade soups. Two soups have been prepared, utilizing previously made, and frozen stocks. For the first soup, a chicken-based stock was used -- for the second soup, it was a more meat-based stock. Fresh veggies, with some chicken or pork meats, were added to the reheated stocks, along with several dumplings, and a few perogies. I generally don't mind Costco coz there's really good stuff you can get here. Some of the prices are definitely better than a regular grocery store. However, having said that, it can get really pricy at times. It's usually a zoo here (especially the parking lot). read more

Drinking in this restaurant like iced tea, diet Pepsi are out unfortunately, there is just water instead of them. Staffs of restaurant are not friendly. Nobody does not control the sitting area. This is a review for the Costco gasoline: Line-ups are always long, expect to wait over 20 minutes. Pumps seem to always need repair, prolonging the wait times. Better management of the line needs to happen as the line up spills into the the street beside it, or blocks other customers in the parking lot making it difficult to move anywhere! 3 stars for the lower gas prices compared to other gasoline stations. read more

The Port Coquitlam Costco is one of the better Costco's in the lower mainland. I prefer to buy my dairy products here on a monthly basis. The store is laid out well and easy to get around. During the day they have free samples. The food court has great prices for lunch (hot dog and drink combo for $1.50 is great value). What I would like to see this Costco offer is more check out lanes as the check out does tend to back up at times. The gas bar usually has some of the best prices in the lowermainland so I usually stop and fill up at the end of my shop. read more

Costco tire Centre is a JOKE! Don't get sucked in thinking they will have the cheapest prices. They do not. They don't even have proper tire installers and that's SCARY!! Tried to make an appointment on line and it was impossible - some type of stupid third party thing and they don't guarantee your appointment so how is that an appointment?? Went in first thing in the morning - to the TIRE centre - they have tires right?? I didn't need need anything specialty or fancy or weird size and I was open to brands. Nope- two weeks - TWO WEEKS to get tires. It's not always easy to get tires here from the TIRE CENTRE but this was stupid. Left and went to BIG O tires was shown two different tires picked the ones we wanted was told what time they'd be at the shop that day and that it would then take 30minutes to put them on. And, for 30% less than Costco's " coupon deal" Fellow came out looked at old tireson car and ask Who the hell had installed them ? We said Costco. He said omg well they put them on backwards all of them. But he said Costco Poco is famous for that. Wow. NEVER buy tires at Costco!! read more

Costco's super fly. Really. It used to be a place where only the hip moms and dads hang out, but it's really moving up the cool scale. It's been fueling my bulk buying addiction. Who cares that I have nowhere to store anything from Costco in a one bedroom condo? It saves me so much money I'd throw out a quarter of my husbands clothes to make room for bulk toilet paper (he says he would gladly agree if it came down to it, since TP is a more basic need and all). And all those samples and new Costco-only stuff they come out with? Genius. I didn't need 5 sticks of Dove men's deodorant but it came with a bonus body wash so guess what? I bought it and now HB's done deodorant shopping for the rest of the year. What did I say? Fucking genius. Just avoid this one on Sundays. It's madness I tell you. Most people know Costco for large portions but among the bulk of it all are the gems. This location is the only location with a gas bar. How much does one save? Around 4-5 cents per L. My other favorite is the fresh oven baked chicken for 7$. Tastes so great and it still retains it's freshness the day after. Finally, this is a new item but their chicken apple pecan salad at the food bar is fantastic. Super healthy but seriously good. Costco ftw. read more

Costco has everything for families in huge quantities, but only takes CASH and their own Costco American Express cards. You cannot use Visa or MC. Sometimes their prices are reasonable if you watch their flyers closely enough. You have to be a member to shop there, but you can bring as many people with you as you like who don't have memberships. Basic membership for non-businesses is $55/year. read more

Quick update: the legendary $1.50 hotdog and drink is back to its epic self. For cleanliness reasons, the other condiments like sauerkraut, onions and peppers can be obtained from the fast food checkout clerk. They will provide them in sealed containers for my pleasure. The tables are still dirty and must still self clean the tables prior to eating. All is well in guilty pleasures. read more

Some things are a good deal others not so much. Its good to know your pricing per until before going in by doing your research on the brands they carry. Usually items marked with a star asterisk * on the price label means they are being cleared out (and won't be restocked). Regular priced items usually end with a .99 ending; though sometimes this might not be the case. However, the ones with the .97 endings are those items that did not sell and must be cleared out. The mark downs on close out items might not be huge, but at least you'll know that they are somewhat discounted and that they won't be in stock much longer. Once they sell out, that's it. Also, look for prices ending in .79, .49, .89 (or similar, except for .99). These types of prices indicate special deals that Costco was able to obtain from the vendor or manufacturer. Recently, at Costco in Port Coquitlam, BC, I took my CK Sweater to enquire about a price adjustment. A female CS rep at the returns desk was there to assist me. She went over to another computer to check the last price and returned to tell me that it's been over 30 days since my purchase, so unable to do a price adjustment. I suggested that the return policy should be available for customers to see. Meanwhile, their female Asian Clothing Supervisor, came over to look at the CK sweater and then asked a male Asian employee if he'd like to buy it, right in front of me. They looked at each other and smiled, saying it's a great price, before the male employee walked away. I asked the female CS rep what the previous price was and she said it was out of 30 days price adjustment anyway. I told her about over hearing the female Asian Clothing Supervisor telling the male employee and the female CS rep said they're not allowed to purchase at a discount price. The female CS rep then took my receipt and returned with a Manager, saying they will honour the $8.99 last price. She said she'd reported to the Manager about female Asian Clothing Supervisor's behaviour. I decided not to take the price adjustment as I was offended by female Asian Clothing Supervisor's unprofessional behaviour and would NEVER shop at Costco again! read more

The store is typically quite busy, though that can be said for all Costco locations. Ultimately, saving money is worth it, and the products and services are better quality than most of what other retailers offer. Can't beat the warranties. Was planning to yelp this location for some time, but what happened today made be finally get to it. Upon leaving the store, as most of you are probably aware, an employee checks your cart against the receipt of sale. The lady discovered that I had been overcharged by $15.00 + tax. She called over a supervisor right away, who in turn promptly refunded the overcharged amount. Both ladies were very friendly and helpful. I like good service and people who treat their customers with respect as these ladies did today for me. Kudo's and keep up the good work. (That said, I should have checked my receipt and should not have been overcharged in the first place, but they made up for it by their actions.) Buying tires here only makes sense. The best warranty in the business, hands down. We bought 4 new snows from Costco last year. The price was the best around. The installation proved to be a bit challenging, as many other people take advantage of the great prices. The trick is to be at the tire center 30 to 45 minutes before opening to complete the installation. If you are in the first 5 people in line, you can expect your tire install to be complete within 1 to 3 hours. I ran over a construction staple, puncturing one of the tires. Costco repaired the tire free of charge, however the original repair still leaked. They replaced the tire completely (free of charge), but only after I insisted that they not charge the pro-rated wear fee, as I had to make multiple trips to the store to get my issue resolved, which the tire manager eventually agreed to. Product note: The Kirkland medium roast coffee (full-bean) is awesome. It is roasted by starbucks and tastes just like a starbuck's Pikes blend coffee. read more

These guys damaged my wheels , then went to go get an estimate , came back to Costco manager was not there. Had no car for two days while it got repaired in Surrey . The cut me a cheque for my damaged wheels but what about 3 days with no car and taking two days off work?? Anyways I hope non of you have a lease vehicle because you will pay for it when you return it. They check for that ,I use to inspect lease returns. Word is these guys damage half the cars wheels that come into the shop. People don't notice or don't check around the wheel lug area for giant chips and score marks. Horrible workmanship. So save $300 then pay for it by driving all over town to find the best wheel repair shop and take a few days off work or don't notice the damage on your wheels and pay big time for it when you return your lease. I base this review only on today's trip to the gas bar. It is the first time we have bought gas here despite being regular customers to the store over the years. Our cards did not work at the pump, so I asked the attendant for help. He left his kiosk and growled at me that we probably had put the card in the wrong way. He took my card, inserted it and when it did not work used his own. I asked him what he had done differently and he growled back that his card worked and mine didn't. He then walked away back to his kiosk. My husband and I were astounded to have been treated so rudely. While we will continue to use the store, we will not be back for gas. They let line-ups build too long before putting on additional cashiers and that contravenes Costco's head office policy. I've always felt their pizza is waaay overpriced and should include a drink as with the hot dogs. Then it would be a good deal, otherwise $3.00 a slice pizza, meh, you can get in a lot of places. I've seen a lot of "grazers" in this store that have no membership, walk in through the exit opening where they don't check for membership cards and then meander around stuffing themselves on samples. I purchased apple cider as the display indicated that the price was $4.69. After leaving the store, I noticed that price on the receipt was incorrect, so I went back into the store to check the display which clearly showed the price was $4.69. I went to Customer Service and spoke to Alice who went to check the display. I requested to walk with her to show her where the display was and she said, "No, wait here". I waited 15 minutes and then Alice returned and said the display was identical to amount paid for. I asked to walk back and this time, she was fine with that for the obvious reason that they had changed the sign back to the regular price. Any other retail location would have honoured the price on the sign. NOT COSTCO. They expect the membership fee plus they treat customers like they are the one in the wrong. So, I asked to speak to a manager, and Sean appeared and said someone must have noticed the sign and changed it. I replied that someone did so they did not have to honour the Price Scanning Policy. So, check the prices at the register before you leave Costco, because they get your money, you are out of luck as they are deceitful. read more
