I am so livid with the tire center at Costco Silvedale tonight! I bought my 80,000 mile Michelin Tires for my 2014 VW Jetta about 30,000 miles ago! This morning the magical low pressure light comes on...so I stopped and filled it with air reset the light and drove the magical 20 miles to Silverdale to work, the magical light did not reilluminate. Before I left work to drive it the less than a mile to Costco, I checked the pressure again...yes I have a pressure gauge! I took my car to the tire center told them which tire it was and they told me it would be a couple of hours and they would call me when it was ready. GREAT RIGHT? They call me the car is ready and they tell me it is a slow leak around the bead of the tire and they put some bead glue on it...Im thinking hmmm...ok thats a new one I havent heard.. I take the car and drive it back to work that magical mile and this afternoon 11 miles from work the MAGICAL light reilluminates...I have no safe place to safely pull the car over or get air, Bond road to Kingston is crazy at 430 and mostly no shoulders! So I drive it to Kingston and re air! I personally think its the stem/air monitoring stem that is causing the problem...which by the way was SUPPOSEDLY REPLACED on all 4 tires when I bought these tires..so either it is defective or they did not replace them when they sold me the tires! SO TOMORROW WHEN I PROBABLY HAVE TO REAIR MY TIRE AGAIN to drive back to Silverdale...I WILL SIT THERE AND WATCH THEM DO THE REPAIR AND I WILL DEMAND TO SEE THE VERY TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING VALVE AS IT COMES OFF MY CAR...My guess it is the VW ORIGINAL VALVE....if it is they will be replacing ALL 4 and RETURNING THE OLD ONES TO ME!!! AT 89000 miles on the original s I would expect failure! The worst part of my experience is I have now lost all trust in Costco Tire Center...after having bought tires there for my cars x 6 my daughters car x3 and my mom's car x4 sets ...and the service person was a young surly punk! I was a bother to him! Being more than 5 decades old I have learned to be distrustful of mechanics of any kind...Costco had my trust, but no more...and you can bet this comment is going in an email to COSTCO HEAD QUARTERS! If I could rate this with no stars i would. This is the second time I've been to this costco and I will never return. While checking out today the cashier named Omar Jr. was obviously eavesdropping on the conversation i was having with my aunt. She asked me if I had my mother's debit card when we were getting ready to pay. He then snapped at me and said he could only receive payment from a member. When i tried to explained to him that the accounts (my aunts and my mothers) are connected and the reason we were there shopping instead of my mother is because she is disabled, he said that there's nothing he could do, if the card name doesn't match the account name he can't take the debit card. So my aunt pulls out her card and starts to pay, let me just throw in that he DID NOT check if the names on the cards matched, and he turns to me and has the fucking audacity to look me in the face and say and i quote. "If your mother is disabled, why does she has a membership with us if she can't come into the store." EXCUSE ME!? First off, Omar Jr doesn't know my mother or her condition so from what i heard today, if you're disabled in any way you should not be a costco costumer. I refuse to support a business that discriminates based on disabilities. I will happily take the $1300 I spend a month at costco to walmart because fuck that. went into Costco today, September 6, 2025 went through the freezer section you I am an employee at another Costco and when I walked by the freezer section, there was a bunch of empty boxes. The freezer didn't look that great. When I went up front, I spoke to a supervisor to let them know about it and she said oh you can tell that we're super busy and to me that was just a cop out because our store gets as busy as the one here does and our store is always clean and nice read more

This place easily earns 4 stars just based on their customer service department and their returns policy. They really stand behind their stuff. I've found I just have to be very picky in what I buy from Costco, they have great deals if you know where to look. The 5th star would be added if the checkers were a bit more engaging/friendly. read more

I like Costco's products that they offer but there customer service is terrible in my opinion. since being in silver dale most foods come from this place along with merchandise.... the return policy is amazing... usually no questions asked.... doesn't work out, no worries... just come on back in.... the employees can be pretty helpful... also convenient location read more
