I like Costco! Pretty good prices. Bulk items that are always fresh. Wish there was more of a selection. Take home pot pies are to die for. Great for parents with infants. Diapers and wipes are perfect! If the customer service was better I'd give it a five. No one goes out of their way to help and people rarely smile. Usually a lot of side conversations. They ask for your card. Tell you your price and give you your receipt with a forced thanks. read more

From the moment you drive into the massive parking lot, Costco screams, "Come inside, we have tasty treats today!" The parking spaces are wide enough to facilitate easy access back into your car after having filled up on the treats available inside the store and you are waddling back to your car in a partially comatose state. When you present your Gold membership card with your face, the door checkers are only there for one reason. They want to make sure that you are not carrying baggies on your person to stash extra tasty treats once you are full. You might think they are at the door to verify that you have a membership, but at only $55 per year for a Gold Membership or $110 for an Executive Membership, who in their right mind would not be willing to have a membership. I have not honestly met a single person who has ever tried to get in to a Costco that was not already a member. As you grab your cart and head in, everything is laid out just perfectly. It is like one big square and the aisles are really wide. This is done to make it easy for members to remain friendly members as they jockey and maneuver their over-loaded carts as they try to get up close to the next batch of tasty treats coming out of the oven by "Linda" on aisle 13, "Jackie" on aisle 13 1/2, or "Tony" on aisle 13 (but close to 14). Bless their hearts, these tasty treat passer-outers know exactly why we are there. They understand why there are not 78 carts at the back of the store picking up bulk grocery or household items (like toilet tissue). They KNOW that when you are standing there and saying that you are getting two "one for me and one for my wife" that you are actually going to go around the corner and tell the wife to "get one for you and one for me while you are over there." And don't even think that you are pulling a fast one over on them when you send your kids over to get an extra tasty treat for you after they have already run all over the store filling up on their own free lunch. "Linda", "Jackie", and "Tony" are on to you. In fact, if you are regular trying to build up your cashback of 2% on the Executive Membership per year, they probably know your kids by name, what grade they just got on their last spelling test, and what they would prefer for tasty treats on their next visit. Kids are just brutally honest and yes, they will probably tell on you when they are picking up another batch of clear, plastic cups and say, "Mom asked me to get her another one!" You think that with the masses of people swarming around them that they don't remember a face showing up a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th time?? It may be an urban myth, but I have heard that tasty treat personnel are required to play Memory Match on their breaks so they can, if necessary, catch members who try to fill up at just one display. If you do, they are directed to kindly remind you that the treats are free and that you should also try what one of their colleagues are offering. Hmmm, that makes me wonder if they are on a commission quota. Pity the person who has to stand at the display offering free tasty treat of Vitamin Goopalots or dog food. Not really a fair day for that person, but I am sure they switch off. If there was a con to Costco, it would probably be the fact that not every aisle has a person offering tasty treats. I go into the Optical Department that accepts a number of different insurances and has a great selection of frames, yet there is not one person offering a nice, greasy, gooey treat to welcome you....oh wait, never mind, I think I understand why that is not the case. It is probably one reason why the optical staff are so happy and friendly because they do NOT have to clean fingerprints off the glasses every evening. Having made the rounds to the point where you can't remember which display you visited, you go to check out. Arriving at the front, you join other groaning individuals who like you are groaning from over-eating, not from the length of the lines, you realize that there are more helpful staff with two or three willing to help you box up all of your bulk items that you felt obligated to buy after 7 helpings of the Gouda cheese, or the 3 (ok, 4) helpings off the Swedish meatball display. The checkout stands are conveniently located near the Deli where the smell of fresh churros, turkey and provolone sandwiches, and pepperoni pizza wafts across every line facilitated by the oscillating fans hidden somewhere and pointed deliberately in the direction of your children's noses. "Daddy, can we get a pizza, please?" The cashier smiles knowing that not only were they hooked, but that you will have to get one as well because you never want to let your children eat by themselves (unwritten rule of parenthood). Finishing your pizza and churro, you meet more smiling employees who check your receipt to ensure that what is in your bag is what you paid for, not free samples. Must go now and plan my next trip. I travel from Greeley to shop at Costco. I brought a towel to return and this was on February 8th in the afternoon to the Timanth location. A female worker with short blond hair was checking Costco Membership cards. I had asked about returning the towel and she was VERY RUDE. I am quite taken back by this behavior. This woman does not need to be working as a greeter. Her people skills have a lot to desire. I have worked in the grocery business for 15 years and I can tell you that in the years I spent in grocery I never once treated a customer as rudely as this woman did me. I would hope you take off the front. She would be better suited in the refrigeration or freezer area to fit her personality. Sad that you employee someone like this:( read more

Who doesn't love Costco?! I haven't been to many, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I always enjoy shopping here. Plenty of friendly samplers handing out treats. What I love the most is the organic selection of many different items and fresh meats that are higher quality than most grocery stores. I always am sure to check out the prices at Costco before making a big purchase. Also, members get a great value on gas. Worth the membership! read more

I love Costco, with one exception, They used to carry Bob's Blue Cheese Dressing. I have tried to get it since the fall of 2017, and they never have it anymore! Its the only reason I bought a membership. Driving over from Greeley is a bummer for only that one item. Wish they could start stocking it again. read more

I've been a die-hard Costco shopper forever! But I gotta say, this one had the WORST prepared food! The Chicken Caesar Salad st the snack bar was full of brown wilted lettuce. I love Costco! The employees are professional and super helpful. The selection is 100% better than Sam's Club. I generally shop the sales, and each trip does involve a lot of math to ensure I'm getting a good deal. Good selection of organics. The produce is always fresh and I like that the selection changes often. I never leave without buying a big ol pineapple ($3) and a rotisserie chicken ($5). read more

Extremely disappointing experience with the Tire and Auto Center. I brought in a dying battery from my daughter's car to replace, so I had my core in hand as I bought the new one. Tire manager insisted I pay the core charge, and then on a separate transaction, he would refund me the money. I questioned why he could not simply put the core charge on the same ticket as the battery as I was paying cash and had brought enough to cover the battery, knowing the price in advance. He said it was a Costco policy that they had to charge the core and I would have to pay it. Then he would refund it. I did not have enough cash (I knew the price and brought the correct amount with me), so I had to borrow $20 from my daughter so I could pay for the battery and core charge. The manager rang up my battery and immediately forgot to give me any change from the first transaction. Then he started the second transaction to refund the core charge. I asked him about my change from the first transaction and he completely lost track of everything, He could not figure out what he was doing and was literally dumbfounded. I had to take both receipts and show him the dollar amounts and add them up for him so he could give me my change from both transactions. It was unbelievable. This entire process took way too much time and was completely unprofessional. I later spoke with the local manager - Jett Ray - about this experience. His first comment was that he watched the security footage and he never saw me borrow $20 from my daughter. Seriously? Your employee completely blows a transaction and has to have the customer literally count change for him and that's the only thing you took away from the incident? Wow! Mr Ray offered the same excuse that this is how Costco "has to" process their core charges. I explained that I have done similar transactions with numerous parts stores as well as Sams and Walmart over the years and of the dozen or so businesses where I have done a core charge transaction, not one of them was unable to process the core at the time of sale if the part was present. I also explained that I have degrees in accounting and finance, but I engineer IT systems for a living, and from both an accounting view or an IT systems view, I can find absolutely no logic to requiring the transaction be handled in this manner. No other company does it. His response was that I obviously knew something they did not know. I openly agreed with him on that point. My Ray was completely dismissive and condescending about the issue. I was left with the overwhelming impression that he did not care about my experience and his follow up was completely a formality - another task he needed to complete - another piece of paperwork he needed to finish. His half-hearted brush-off of an apology could not have come across as less sincere and I have never felt more like a company could care less about my business than this Costco. I hope they are right. Since this initial experience, I have purchased 3 complete sets of tires and another car battery. My family, with multiple teenage drivers, and my wife's business combined, own 7 licensed vehicles. Those sales alone totaled over $2,500 and Costco did not no even get the opportunity to offer a price. I have also told my family and friends about this experience. My nephew just purchased 6 new tires for his dually pickup. He has an executive membership to this same Costco, and he did not give them his tire business either. I will be buying tires for at least 2 more vehicles in the next 6 months, including my own dually pickup, and Costco will lose those sales as well. To date, I can count at least 8 sets of tires that Costco could have sold that they have lost because of this experience. I hope Amazon starts selling tires soon. read more

Sure the prices are cheap but the employees that work there either ignore you or are simply rude. For a new store to open up, you would think that everyone would be excited to be at work and eager to help. That has at least been my experience in other food or retail store openings. Maybe the newness has already worn off and the employees just don't care about the people shopping there. Because of the prices in sure the store will do great from a revenue point of view but they won't be getting any more of my money. I'd rather spend a few extra bucks and shop somewhere else. With any luck, hopefully I've prevented some other people in going through the same terrible customer service experience that I just went through. read more

My family decided to checkout Costco a while back. So we come in and a manager happen to be at the door, so I asked him if they ever do a one-day free trial like Sams Club does. Boy, that was the wrong question to ask. He literally had a spasm right there, first started laughing and then practically yelling at us that Sams Club is crap and they don't need to do a free one-day trial. He went on to rip on Sams Club more and told us we can look but not buy anything. Sorry, I understand if you think you are better than Sams Club, fine I get that and I understand people worship this place. However, I didn't see prices much cheaper and I saw some things we normally buy even more expensive than Sams. The problem I have is the elitist attitude changed our mind on getting membership for now. read more

I don't like that store in Timnath. Costo is good, but the customer service there is so bad. I never felt respected there. No customer help on the floor, associates don't wear customs or badges, and when you recognize somebody and ask for help, they are mostly not friendly and they make you feel unwelcome & a burden, and at the door, they check your receipt, count your items, make comments and make you feel like a shoplifter. read more

Costco member for over 30 years (back in the Price Club days). I hate shopping, but use to love shopping @ Costco. Obviously, you still have to love the staples: Food Court and Rotisserie Chicken. Maybe I'm getting old and crotchety, maybe Amazon is making them less necessary...but I'm losing my love affair with Costco. Once upon a time, their prices couldn't be beat. Now, it seems to me that I find better produce/meat prices @ Sprouts without having to buy bulk. We get better prices on milk and daily staples at King Soopers with Soopercard. Gas prices are good, but if you keep an eye out - you can find same prices at gas stations. I'm struggling with paying $100/year to not really save all that much. It's not you Costco, it's probably me...but it might be time to see other stores. read more

This Costco is one of the most cleanest I have seen. I hate having to take the kids to the bathroom in fear of the bathrooms not bending cared for. Every time I have come to this location it has been cleaned. They have a great selection of organic food items along with good prices. If I wasn't able to find something the staff there is super friendly. Way better then SAMs! Worth the 20 min drive. read more
