If I could give this review a zero, I would. I purchased new tires for almost eight hundred dollars on October 1st. Not terribly expensive for tires, but still a sizeable purchase, and I had just bought the vehicle. I wanted to make sure there were new tires on it, and then I was planning on getting the vehicle aligned the next day so that my brand-new tires would be taken care of properly on the road. The first week of October I was working from home, so I scheduled my alignment for the end of the next week. By Wednesday, October 3rd, my rear tire was completely flat. I removed the tire that Monday, checked for any leaks or punctures, put my spare tire on, and took my flat to the gas station, where I could fill it with air. Inside of a day, the tire lost half its air pressure. I called Costco to explain the problem and schedule a revisit. Over the phone, I was told this was no problem, that they were putting me on the schedule, and that I just needed to "let the guys know when you're here what's going on, and they'll take care of you right away". This was perfect; I wouldn't need to set up a ride and I wouldn't need to drop off the vehicle the night before. I could just stop by after my day at the office, get it taken care of quickly, and go home to see my family. They'll figure out the problem and it will be easy peezey, lemon squeezy. WRONG! When I arrived at the tire center, there were two cars inside the four-bay garage. This is great, I'll be in and out even faster than I thought. WRONG! When I went to the front desk, it took a decent amount of time before I even saw someone, and when I finally checked in, I was told that it would be an hour to an hour and a half wait. To check a tire that is already off of my vehicle? For a tire that's showing no puncture signs at all? I thought that this was no big deal, as by the time I would be leaving my issues would be taken care of. WRONG! An hour later, I was greeted by a gentleman name John, who told me "OK, we're all good to go". WRONG! He told me there was air escaping from the inside rim of the wheel, and that because of that, there was air escaping from the tire. I have some experience with installing tires, and this means that the tire WAS NOT seated properly. I paid for new tires, and for them to be installed properly. When they go flat because of a seating issue, it means they were not installed properly. I was told twice by the associate that they were installed properly, there was just an issue. WRONG! He then handed me a plastic ring and proceeded to tell me about what a hub centric ring was. They go in between an after-market wheel, and the wheel well, and take pressure off the lug nuts and help keep the wheel SECURE AND SAFE. He told me that when I put my spare on, I needed to take this ring off before putting on my spare tire, and because I didn't, it compromised and ruined this hub centric ring. He told me that normally he has them in the store, but this particular size, he was out of. He told me, "They should carry them at any Pep Boys or Auto Zone in the area, and they're only a couple bucks". WRONG! Twice during the conversation, it was insinuated that this entire thing was my fault, and that Costco had done nothing wrong in all this. "I didn't put on the spare tire, you did", was verbatim what I was told during the conversation. The next day I called eleven, ELEVEN, auto body, auto parts, wheel, tire stores in and around my area. Not one single shop had any hub centric rings, whether in the specific size I needed or not. When I found that no one had them in the area, I called the Tire Center back to let them know that they would need to order in this part for me, as they were the ones to improperly install my tires. "OK, I'll put an order in today". This was Thursday, October 13th. Today is October 24th and in seven days I will need to drive 335 miles from my home to Erie, Pennsylvania for business. This is the only vehicle I can use to make the trip, and when I called the Costco Tire Center today, to check to see if the rings came in, I was told "Well they take forever, they're coming from California. I don't have any control over when they come in". I was told this specifically by the manager, as I called the front desk at Costco and asked to speak the with Tire Center manager. It has been over two weeks that I've had to drive my vehicle without a proper alignment because of this screw up, as licensed dealership says that this would affect the alignment. It has been over two and a half weeks since I originally got my tires from this establishment. It has been twelve days since I was told these rings were being ordered. Well, today is October 24th, and I just ordered my own hub centric rings from Amazon. I hope they are the correct. This order says they'll be here within 48 hours of my order. Not 2-3 weeks. My ordering system shouldn't be faster than a national conglomerate. Be better. read more
