The guys in the tire department are the absolute best. I went to fill my air and one of my tires was way too low. I brought it over to the tire center and they filled it for me but took a quick look around and saw a nail while they were filling it. Asked if I wanted to patch it. Let me know there were 2 nails in the tire...long story short, there were a total of 8 nails in my tires but they got me through the night and I walked away with 4 new tires with warranty on them and no nails, in less than 2 1/2 hrs. They even stayed a bit past closing to make sure I wasn't driving around with busted tires. Overall fantastic communication every step of the way, very understanding, and doing all this while they had so many customers coming in and out. read more

This review is specifically for Costco Optometry. I purchased a pair of glasses that I had to return with 6-8 times to have adjusted due to optical distortion, glare, weight, migraines, discomfort and facial bruising caused by wearing the new RayBan frames and prescription. I have lost days of work commuting to Costco instead of work for the day, then having to make the hours up. Not only would Costco Optical Department not simply honor the warranty and replace the lenses or even the frames with something usable day to day, but they kept encouraging me to try to adjust to the new prescription and frames, and just bring them back in for adjustment if the discomfort continued. The team even had me visit RayBan separately for replacement nose pads on the frames they sold me, when one fell off after an adjustment that same day. I am stuck with a pair of heavy, uncomfortable frames with a prescription so strong they cause fatigue and migraines from short periods of wear, and seem to amplify glare, despite the antiglare coating, as Costco Optical kept having me try adjustments until the return period ran out, and will not replace the frames and lenses to resolve the issue without a completely new purchase. This has been a phenomenal waste of time, and I can't recommend the Optical team at Costco, despite some of them being thoroughly helpful and knowledgeable--except when it comes to replacing eyeglasses that just do not work for the wearer. read more

Ok, I'm fessing up. I am a former Costco hater. I hated the bulk warehouse concept with paid memberships. I was utterly repulsed by the unethically raised chickens that customers run to Costco for (well, I still hate that). I envisioned aisles full of low quality foods for gluttonous consumers. And now, years later...there I am, at the doors at 9 am with my fancy executive membership. The shame. So what changed? I am a deal hunter at heart. A Groupon offer for a basic membership caught my eye. It offered all kinds of perks including a gift card that made membership free for a year. And I went in for it. The rest is history. On my first visit I bypassed the enormous carts that weigh more than I do. I grabbed my reusable shopping tote and dashed through the aisles looking for anything that I would consider an exceptional value. My family follows an organic and paleo diet so my shopping options are severely narrowed. Costco absolutely stunned me once I hit the chilled produce room and found a bountiful selection of beautiful organic fruits and vegetables at unbelievable prices. I crammed my bag full and sprinted for the check out. Over time I discovered grain free crackers, organic oils, nut, nut butters and vinegars, fair-trade and organic coffee beans and many other amazing deals that are in line with our lifestyle choices. I'm a huge fan and supporter now. I still hate the roasted chickens and bulk cattle-lot meats but there are so many other great items in store. I even visit Costco's while traveling (Toronto!) and stock up on fresh produce. I assume that I'll be an executive member here out. I'm sold. read more

I truly value and make good use of my Costco membership. On occasion, I visit this location just to see if they have different items from my typical Costco. Sometimes I do find an item that I've not seen in the other location or a different clothing item on clearance. For many people, the Food Court is where the joy is and in this location the Food Court is accessible from the outside. Costco is still going strong with the $1.50 hot dog and soda combo and a delicious slice of pizza for under $3. You can order a whole pizza pie for takeaway. Checkout service is usually good although I mostly use the self-checkout lanes as it is usually shorter or faster. What's not to like about Costco? read more

This review is solely based on my experience at the Costco gas station. Peeps! I was lost, driving around aimlessly looking for the fuel pumps. So you are aware, the gas station is in a separate building next door to the warehouse. I was circling the parking lot and warehouse like a creeper so I finally asked a gentleman who was rounding up the shopping carts. Also, the concession stand is on the exterior of the warehouse which I find both convenient and interesting. This is the first location that I've seen this layout. The gas station was not packed and I barely waited to fill my tank. Once I located the actual station, it was easy to get in and out of. The cost of regular unleaded today was $2.57 per gallon. read more

This Costco is a convenient location for me and it's always stocked with the products I need. The staff is always very kind and helpful, and most of the time when I go to self checkout and there is a line, a worker will scan my items to make the checkout process quicker. My only complaint is the way they recently switched which side of the store they have the self-checkout. I'm sure it helped with the flow of customer traffic, but sometimes it's hard to get over to the self checkout from the long regular lines. The hustle and bustle of the customers is so much fun to watch. People looking, touching, trying samples of food, etc. My husband and I went in for a few items and ended up spending over $100. I purchased mini quiches, mini crab cakes, some sweets, mixed nuts. Spotted Shrimp salad that looked delicious, bought it! This is the closest Costco location to me. This store has a variety of selections from fruits and veggies to specialized frozen dinners. I love finding the new things that come into the store for a great price. While I love this location, it is rather busy at all times so I love that with the executive membership. Costco Altamonte Springs turned a one-star moment into a five-star experience. I arrived around 9:30 a.m. to do a large holiday shop and use a new digital Costco Shop Card we loaded the night before. I first stopped at the membership desk to renew my account and set it up as a sub account to my wife's membership while she was at work. The membership team was friendly, professional, and thorough. They followed procedures exactly and explained their limits clearly. Unfortunately, a technical issue during setup created a problem once I reached checkout, and the normal process would have required my wife to come in. With a full cart and holiday timing, that was not realistic. By 10:15 a.m., I was frustrated and preparing to leave. Instead, I asked to speak with a manager. Bryan, the assistant manager, arrived quickly and listened carefully. He repeated the issue back to confirm understanding and then got to work. Over the next three and a half hours, he stayed with the problem. He made repeated calls to Costco.com support and the Shop Card team, tested multiple approaches, and involved his supervisors for added perspective. Grace and Brad were both helpful on the floor. Brad showed strong technical instincts and worked through multiple device and platform tests with us. Bryan personally ran and voided many transactions while searching for a solution. He kept me informed the entire time and even arranged for my cold items to be refrigerated without being asked. The issue itself was a system challenge, not a people problem. The difference at this location was leadership. Bryan remained calm, respectful, and focused under pressure. Multiple staff members checked in to make sure I was being helped. At 1:49 p.m., the issue was resolved and I completed my purchase. What started as frustration ended in respect. Bryan, Grace, and Brad turned a difficult situation into a positive experience. Costco should recognize and retain leaders like Bryan. Five stars. read more

What a sad last day it was here at Costco. As we were checking out with over $400 worth of items, I was approached by a man named VINCE in a lime green shirt who screamed "Ma'am!!!, You cannot take photos in here!" I said oh! They're for Yelp! He said welllllll they aren't a real business and you need to delete every photo you've taken here today. Now, everyone in Costco on a Sunday afternoon is staring at me. It was beyond awkward. I told him wow. I've met wonderful employees and wanted to share my great experience. He doubled down and told me I had to delete them because Costco is not on here(Yelp). So here I am on the place Vince said does not exist and here are all the photos that he thought were offensive that I needed to delete. All I was trying to do was promote new products, show current sales, and sing praises of the fantastic helpful employees I came in contact with. My family has shopped here since the building was located on Kennedy Blvd. Vince (don't know his title or what he does for this store) made my mother and I feel very threatened and quite frankly scared. His yelling was so jarring and he clearly needs a review in customer service and Costco employee values. Update: After calling and speaking to Chloe, I learned that Vince is a newer manager and she has worked for him for under a year. This Costco in Altamonte has one of the worst parking lots outside of the Trader Joe's in Winter Park. Getting in and Getting out is a pain, and after you park, walking safely to the store can be a challenge with an odd arrangement of angles from which you can approach. What this Costco DOES have is a Liquor Store. Sure, the selection isn't vast, but they have some killer prices on stuff. Some things can be $30+ cheaper than the local ABC or Total Wine. It's always worth a stop to see what they have. The regular store always seems to be crowded with long lines, and the food court is outside, which in FL is a terrible idea. It's covered, but still, hot and muggy weather makes my hot dog soggy. They have everything else other Costco's have like a pharmacy (great prices), vision center and hearing center (Say what?). Bring a big cooler and stock up on cold stuff. read more

BEWARE of the Costco Tire Center in Altamonte Springs, FL. While I do acknowledge I could not find a better price for the tires I wanted, their custo0mer service is horrendous and leaves much to be desired. The old adage is true; you get what you pay for - and customer service is definitely not on the menu. I went through the Costco Tire Center's website to select make and model of the tire I wanted. I entered the Year, Make, Model & Trim Package (I decoded my VIN to make certain I selected the exact Trim Package). Based on my entry I selected my tires, ordered and PAID for them. This was done on 3-20-26. On 3-21-26 I got a call to let me know the tires were in. I scheduled my truck that day to have the new tires put on. Later that same day (3-21-26), I got another call from Costco Tire advising I had ordered the wrong tires - I asked how could that be, as I had ordered through their website entering the correct criteria. I believe they told me the tires were the wrong tonnage for my truck. They said they would order the correct/comparable tires and have early the next week. I asked the person on the phone would there be a refund and start over or how would this be handled, He said no refund, I would just pay the difference. I asked how much was the difference and he said $3 per tire or $12. I said OK, go ahead and order. Fast forward to Tuesday, 3-24-26. I got a call from Costco advising the tires were in and they could be installed. Note, with Costco's permission, I left my truck there since it would only be a couple of days to get correct tires in and installed. They had my truck already and would install that day. Later on 3-24-26, I got another call from Costco that my truck was finished and I could pick up. So, I had my wife drop me at Costco to get my truck. I go in expecting to pay the $12 and applicable taxes. However, I was told I would have to completely pay the whole cost for new tires installed. I said no - and explained the conversation from 3-21-26. The sales guy then proceeds to tell me that they had refunded my card on 3-23-26. Mind you I had debited the entire amount from my bank account on the 3-20-26 purchase. I pulled out my phone and accessed my bank account. My account showed the original debit but no credit. I was furious. They had never once told me their plan had changed. They never called to advise they were issuing a refund. I had no knowledge until the final check out. They said it was my responsibility to call my bank and discuss the refund. Costco had already issued. That infuriated me even more. I did call my bank and was told that credit had been issued by Costco but it would take 1-3 business days for it to show up and in some cases up to 7 days. I did threaten to leave with my truck and would settle with them, when the credit I was not aware of - finally hit my account. Costco (now included the overall Costco General Sore Manager and the Tire Center Manager) advising me that if I drove away, I could be charged with theft because I had not paid for those tires. I huge argument ensued. At one point they offered to take the new tires off and put my old tires back on. How ridiculous. I finally agreed to put the tires on a credit card. I was not giving them any more cash. I would rather challenge a charge on my credit card (if necessary) then give them more cash. A word to the wise, this store is deceptive. They do not follow through on their word. And do things (credit) without telling you. Leaving you to hold the bag at checkout. They are unscrupulous. Review of Poor Installation Experience: Washer, Dryer, and Refrigerator Costco has always maintained an excellent standard of service for installations and deliveries, which is why I have consistently chosen to purchase my appliances from them. The high level of service has always been a major factor in my decision-making process. Unfortunately, on December 2, 2025, I experienced my worst appliance delivery from Costco. I made a Black Friday purchase on November 28, 2025, for a washer, dryer, and refrigerator, with delivery scheduled for December 2. While the installation team arrived as planned, this punctuality was the only positive aspect of the experience. From the outset, the driver seemed inclined to leave all three appliances in the middle of my garage rather than complete the installation properly. Washer and Dryer Installation Issues When it came to installing the washer and dryer, several problems quickly emerged. The old washer, which was only about a year old, was in an open and accessible location in the garage. We intended to keep these units and opted not to have them hauled away. The driver, who was also in charge of the team, began disconnecting the hose from the washer without first confirming that the water was turned off. He then informed me that the hose was leaking and said I would need a plumber to address the issue. As a result, he claimed he could not proceed with the installation. However, I knew the hose had not been leaking. Conveniently, a plumber was working at my neighbor's house next door. I asked him to check the hose, and he confirmed that there was no leak. Despite this, the driver left the new washer in the middle of the garage instead of installing and connecting it. The dryer was hooked up, but the job was incomplete. All tape and packing materials remained in place, and the dryer was never turned on, tested, or leveled. These basic steps were simply overlooked by the installation team. Refrigerator Installation Problems The refrigerator installation was even more problematic. The water hose for the refrigerator was located directly below the shut-off valve under the kitchen sink--less than three feet from the refrigerator connection. The driver immediately stated that because the connection was under the sink, he could not touch it and therefore would not install the new refrigerator. He insisted that I would need a plumber to disconnect and reconnect the water hose. While all my food was temporarily stored elsewhere, I could not wait for another technician to arrive just to get the refrigerator running. I ended up crawling under the sink myself to disconnect the water line. Even then, I had to persuade the driver to remove the old refrigerator and plug in the new one just to allow it to begin cooling. He eventually plugged in the new refrigerator but refused to connect the water line, even though it had been checked for leaks. The exterior wrappings were removed, but all the packing tape and materials inside the refrigerator were left untouched. To make matters worse, the old refrigerator was scheduled for haul-away, but the driver was prepared to leave both units in my kitchen. The entire experience was incredibly frustrating and stressful. Customer Service and Follow-Up After these issues with the installation, I contacted Costco Customer Service for follow-up support. The response I received felt generic and dismissive: a simple acknowledgment of my complaint with no actual follow-up or resolution offered. It seemed as though the problem was written off without any meaningful action. Conclusion Overall, my experience with the installation of the washer, dryer, and refrigerator was deeply unsatisfactory. Proper installation is critical for the safe and efficient operation, and the lack of attention to detail and professionalism from the install team was extremely disappointing. I carefully reviewed and complied with all of Costco's service installation limitations, and even had a plumber verify no leaks. As a 65-year-old disabled veteran, and my 67-year-old husband (also a veteran) recently recovering from shoulder replacement surgery, we were left to move the washer into place, attach the water line, plug it in, remove all the packing materials, and perform the necessary testing and leveling ourselves. It took both of us over an hour to get the refrigerator connected due to our physical limitations. This is precisely why we made sure that installation was included in our purchase. We felt completely abandoned by Costco. This experience has made me seriously reconsider purchasing appliances from them in the future. While all my previous experiences with their delivery service were excellent, I believe that the true measure of a company is how they handle situations when things go wrong. My favorite Costco. I have been a member for a long time and have shopped at all of the Costco stores in Orlando/Winter Park/Altamonte. While I live closest to the Winter Park store, whenever I have the chance I prefer to drive to Altamonte Springs. I really like that they moved the gas station to a separate area from where it used to be in the main parking lot and they have three pumps per aisle which is nice. Also, they have a liquor store which Winter Park does not. The only thing I find is not great at this location is the self checkout area is really small and crowded. However, now that executive members can shop at 9:00AM daily, getting there when they open makes parking and shopping a breeze. As far as Costco stores in general, I highly recommend their optical department for really low price vision exams, contact lenses and glasses. I also love getting my pet medications at their pharmacy which is so much cheaper than the Veterinarian. And the tire center always has a great price for car batteries and tires. read more

(I do see that they are fixing that with a new gas station area away from the Costco store) They staff are always helpful when going here, they always seems to have what I am looking for as well. Generally, Costco is a great deal. Their private label items are usually good to great quality as well. The stores are somewhat all laid out the same, which is great. Plus, their cashiers are usually so efficient that even long lines go by quickly. Selection, as with any Costco, can be hit-and-miss. If you find something great you like, it might not be there the next time you are in the store. Parking at this particular store is dreadful. I know they are working on part of the lot so hopefully that concern will go away soon. The other thing I found a little odd here was the sales push near the front of the store. What a sad last day at the Altamonte Costco there was once a time when I was looking forward to having a Costco membership and signed up for it in September 2024 it was at the Winter Park location where they were lovely. I had originally bought my membership online and went in with no issues got my picture taken and shopped. I ate at the food court and was able to shop with no issues. Then I decided to try the Altamonte location since it was closer to my home, but then I came across Nadya the cashier who created the worst experience by telling me that my card wasn't active probably because when I bought it, I didn't have any money which was not the case, I felt so embarrassed as she said it in front of several customers and other employees who didn't even bat an eye at her comment which is concerning. After she said this in front of everyone I was told to visit the front counter to pay for my membership, they told me that there is actually an online glitch that refunds the money back to you a few days after purchase. After as I was waiting to have my groceries rung out again by Nadya (she didn't park the transaction, probably because she didn't think I could afford it) I overheard her also being rude to an older couple of customers that were trying to pay with a card and she told them that they couldn't pay with credit card and then changed her story to oh yes, you can pay with Visa so it seems that it is just a normal day for her to create bad experiences at Costco and me and my partner will never return to this location and continue to go shop at Winter Park and Millenia. Since also joining Sam's Club 2 years ago, I've often thought that they have more unexpected crazy deals than Costco. Maybe the big 'C' read my thoughts, as lately, I've noticed some wild bargains here too. Cases in point are those CNY years that 3 weeks later, went on sale at less than 1/3 of their original prices (I'll post photos). It's a little bit like Dutch auction: sometimes you need patience to wait for the rock-bottom price; other times, you wait, and you can wave bye-bye. These treats for the year of the rabbit that we got were reduced from $18 to 12, and eventually to 5 just to clear the aisle, and they didn't last long then. And you know what - you can, literally, save on your cake, and eat out too! It's called price adjustment. In case you didn't know, when you see something that you'd bought go down in price, go to the center service desk (not where you do returns and membership, and ask for a price adjustment. It has to be within 30 days, and it has to be still in stock when you ask for the adjustment. read more

Costco has some of the best quality fuel in the country. Better prices but not always worth the extra wait in line. I do love that as an executive member and card holder I can receive extended warranty upgrades for free on many items such as TV's, and other electronic items. Lots of fresh fish options as well as produce. When you are a member you can earn money back for your purchases as well as other perks. It's been a couple years but we loved using Costco travel. All the way down to the specific instructions to help avoid tourists traps when arriving at the airport in puerto Vallarta. The peer pressure to stop when the locals tell you to is sooooo strong, but I especially appreciated the clear and concise instructions so that we could quickly and safely and efficiently get to our vehicle and to our final destination. We even got a free upgrade, AND earned Costco cash when we arrived back. We used it to get tires for one of our vehicles and they also were running an awesome sale on them. FYI, they runs sales on certain brands twice a year, and they alternate from one brand to another. If your brand isn't currently on sale, wait until the next sale. I thought I would do an updated review after over a year as a member. Nothing drastic to report, good or bad. We don't bring a long grocery list with us, partly because Aldi's is less expensive and also due to Florida's hot climate, we don't want to buy ten pounds of everything and watch some go bad on us. But we buy enough to make it worth the travel and the membership fee. For example, we buy non clumping unscented kitty litter for nine indoor cats, which can be hard enough to find, and the price here is low enough to pay for the membership all by itself. You can find meat less expensive elsewhere, but it hasn't escaped our notice that the quality of theirs seems quite high. And sometimes the quality of their store brand products (Kirkwood) is better than the name brands. We have only gone once or twice since Covid19 exploded onto the scene. It is a bit of a drive for us and they have been out of several items, and I don't mean just toilet paper! Hoarders buy up the weirdest things sometimes. Our annual refund of 2% or whatever it is, doesn't seem like a lot, because we don't spend as much as most people do. But every little bit helps. We spread our shopping out to other stores to save money, and we have never ordered any of the endless online stuff they have in their emails like appliances, computers, sheds and what have you. I imagine we will keep the membership for at least another year, but if we ever decided to keep just one, it will be BJs, as it is closer and they have more of our regular purchase items, like the organic peanut butter we like, instant decaf coffee, and comprise tomatoes, things like that. read more

Still mad about the gas station. Funny how they close promptly at 9pm weekdays but don't open promptly at 6am on weekdays. That aside, I'm loving that they are moving toward more sustainable and healthy meats and produce. They have more organic veggies and finally have 3 grass fed beef options. They have always had wild caught fish/seafood options. Now, for most consumers, it's not mandatory to have EVERYTHING organic. Certain foods don't pickup relevant levels of pesticide, no matter how you grow them- like asparagus and citrus fruits (because you peel them). But carrots, potatoes, pretty much anything where you eat the skin- it's better to have organic. I digress... With prices skyrocketing due to all things political in my opinion, there can be value in buying in bulk. So despite Costco sometime getting out of their lane, so to speak, I'll probably be a member forever. Aside from bulk buying, they have some single serve items which I believe deserve special attention- the single serve organic hummus and the guacamole. While buying the larger tub saves you per ounce, it certainly doesn't save the waistline!!!! I find the single serve items such as these "snack foods", prevent me from over indulging. Their website offers more than the store. They even have deals on cars and travel. The parking lot can, at times, be completely full. I have driven right back home and paid extra for Instacart to bring me my essentials (egg-whites, la croix, etc- don't judge me!) because of the frustration of that parking lot. Employees are helpful, they helped me load a patio furniture set into my car. The liquor store is useful, although they don't sell ice. Selection varies between stores; Items come and go throughout the year, so I always stop by to see what's new and exciting. The two percent back on the executive membership pays for itself. Highly recommend. Only four stars for gas station tardiness on their opening time, parking lot issues, and their sometimes public political views. read more

This location has gone down hill. The food court typically has 1 person at some of the most busiest times which is ridiculous. They routinely stop stocking common items which made this a good place to shop. They don't sell Cheerios any more and they told me it's because they are no longer available. That's humerous because Publix, Walmart, and BJ's sell them...actually BJ's has a better deal!! The gas prices aren't very good any more. I find that I can get a much better deal, including their rebate, by becoming a club member at Circle K...and you can get a large drink for less that Costco without having to wait forever to get a cup. If you're wise, Publix BOGO's are usually a better deal than here. But perhaps the most important thing as to why you don't want to shop here is the parking lot is like a death trap. The bottom line...I'll wait until I can cash out on my reward money and will not renew. read more

Attempted to go check out for the first time. was treated rude. membership not explained. they just point at the signs. you have to figure it out for yourself. service dog walking out while we were walking in with ours. yelled to read the sign no dogs allowed?! The Costco at this location is the oldest, I believe, in the Orlando area. While the shiny newness is gone, the store is not old in what it delivers and how. The appeal of course is large quantities at lower prices but one must still know what is a good deal! From organics to produce to meats to beer and wine, plenty of choices abound, so, put on your decision-making hat before entering. Event, movie, and restaurant discounts are regularly available. Regularly rotated clothing and shoes provide variety at affordable pricing. Food sample days are a favorite for me and my family, and, if you didn't know, Costco's policy allows for multiple samples! Included with the membership is the Costco gasoline that typically is priced lower than surrounding gas stations and is touted for its higher quality. I absolutely adore shopping at Costco. They have everything you need! From tire service to TVs to groceries to clothes. My only problem is that almost no one that goes there or works there wears a mask now. No one is social distancing and it feels a bit unsafe to shop there now. There isn't any hand sanitizer stations throughout the store. They are only at the entrance and exit. read more

Who knew quality food could be so affordable! Most people go straight into the store, but those same people don't realize that the real treasure lies on the outer rim of the palace. Costco's outdoor food court boasts plentiful delicacies that are worthy of consumption at any point in the day; breakfast, lunch and dinner! I chose to skip during 5th period, the time allotted being the average lunch time for every 9 in 10 Americans. While I should have been governing the school in my student government class, I was instead delegating my stomach with my $1.99 slice of pizza. I arrived to Costco with my schoolmates and friends; Colin, Kyle, Andrew and DJ. While all these fine gentlemen are noteworthy characters on their own, I must choose to focus this next detail on the individual Colin. Colin was not only the chauffeur for this excursion, but he personally loaned me the 1.99 for my pizza. Colin also managed to put down 2 slices of pizza and carve his way through half a cup of ice cream before I was able to finish my singular slice, thus proving that he is more machine then man. Andrew is also worth a mention, as he surrendered his left over ice cream to me and purchased a water bottle to quench my thirst.
