I have been shopping at this store for many years, and today was the first time I left feeling both shocked and disappointed. I have a medical condition that is not visible to others. I prefer not to discuss the details, but it can make certain tasks difficult for me. Today, I was waiting in line at the self-checkout with only a few items: one loaf of bread, one package of paper towels, and three packs of milk. I politely asked an employee named Luis, who was holding a handheld scanner, if he could help me scan my items. Instead of helping, he raised his voice and repeatedly said, "Scan it! Scan it!" I politely asked again, "Would you please help me scan my items, please?" He looked visibly annoyed, grabbed my bread roughly, scanned it using the checkout scanner, and tossed it aside. Then, with the same irritated expression, he used his handheld scanner to scan the paper towels and milk, finished, and immediately walked away without saying a word. I noticed from his name badge that he has been working at this store for more than 10 years. I don't know whether he was having a bad day, but that does not justify treating a customer this way. Luis, the reason your name badge proudly displays your years of service is because it represents experience and trust. Customers expect someone with your experience to provide respectful and professional service. If providing customer service has become too frustrating for you, perhaps you should take some time off. Your job is to help customers, not make them feel like a burden. After shopping here for so many years, this was an experience I never expected. This morning Tracy provided amazing customer service to my mother and I. My father recently passed away and we came to make some returns and take care of any membership issues. Tracy was kind and emphatic and went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of and had all our questions answered. The Costco warehouse is great! Compare to other locations that are closer to me, this Costco is not super crowded. They have Nutella beignets that I keep hearing about but haven't seen at my Costco! Seems like the sales items are labeled properly unlike some other locations. Good selection of wines. Only thing is I don't see as many "managers special" or markdowns at this location. Overall a very pleasant shopping experience here and get the good pricing on everyday items. read more

This is a pretty good Costco. Lots of parking with big spaces so your car is not squished up against another car and you can load your bulky item purchases easily in to your car. There's even EV chargers available... that's very convenient. I had a return and the lady at the return desk was super friendly and quick. Afterward my return, I walked around the store. New merchandise was out for storage and furniture. There was alsl lots of markdowns from the holidays. There weren't anymore Christmas items but since there was new merchandise coming in, the older ones were marked down. I did my usual Costco haul then proceeded to the famous Costco Food Court. I ordered at the kiosk and just got in line for pickup. Although I noticed that the 1 window to order and pay in person was actually faster than the kiosk paid line. It was all good though. One of his coworkers appeared to offer a solution, but he did not listen, which delayed the checkout process. When it was finally my turn, the cashier counted the items in my cart and removed the case of water with his scanner from the bottom without informing me. I was not told that the water had been removed from the transaction. At the exit, Omar informed me that the water had not been charged, forcing me to go back and correct the mistake. 3. **Conclusion** While some may consider this a simple mistake, the impact falls on the customer--not the employee. I experienced unnecessary frustration and inconvenience, especially having to walk back in the hot weather to resolve an error that was not my fault. BEST COSTCO LOCATION IN TOWN!!! If you are planning to go to Costco, you should already know you will be dealing with complete madness finding parking, madness just being in the store, long wait and blowing a lot of money!!! Fortunately this was not the case for Costco Chino Hills except I still blew a lot of money!! We came on a Saturday at 1 pm. Right when we pulled into the parking, there were barely any cars. What amazed me even more was that there was plenty of open parking spots!!!! It was a good start!!! When we got in, it was spacious and not many people to Costco's standards. We were in and out within an hour. There was actually more people waiting in line outside getting their food than the line inside to pay. I was amazed! If you plan to go to Costo, i recommend eating there. We got a hot dog with a drink, 1 slice of pepperoni pizza and 1 slice of cheese pizza for less than $5!!!!! It was unbelievable!!! They did not remind me about the red lettering on my invoice until I studied it closely. Basically,we need to return for a quick inspection after driving for a day. This Costco tire center is outstanding. I had arranged to buy some tires over the phone but somehow had given them the wrong size or model number so Tyler came to the rescue so did Javier and Carlos they all looked on the computer while taking care of all the other customers and they finally found my tires and we had to order them, but that's OK. I appreciate the time and courtesy and expert help they gave to me despite being really busy on a Sunday afternoon. I loveeee this Costco so much more after the recent remodel. The gas layout here is top notch. I love how wides the lanes are and the newsly added sensors showing how many pumps are available helps so much. The food court looks nice too, but wish they had a bit more seating because it gets crowded here. With that being said, if you have an Executive membership, take advantage of coming early if you can. The crowds at this location can get wild and I like coming before 10am and being able to take the time to shop without feeling too overwhelmed. What makes this location stand out to me is that they offer some items that I can't find or see at other Costco locations. I know there is a lot of Asian influence here which I love because I always find some unique items that I usually don't see at the other Costcos. The samples are the next best thing here. So many great Kirkland brand or other items to try and the staff is usually very nice. Only negative experience here are the crowds. It's not bad in the early mornings, but come any other time and it really is a zoo, so plan accordingly. read more

Chino Hills Costco has been my home Costco for almost 25 years. I accidentally left two items in my cart (Grillos pickles and coconut water) after checking out and returned a couple hours later to explain the situation to the manager, hoping for some assistance or at least understanding, but he refused to help or offer any replacement despite the circumstances. I understand policies exist, but customer service and empathy matter too, especially for long-time members who spend a lot of money shopping here. 10/20/24 Currently under construction/remodeling but open for business . Dropped by since we're in the area. I wanted to check out their NutriBullet (sure, could've done online but I like to browse in person). Unfortunately they only have one kind, the latest & more expensive model. They're under renovations so some parking spots have been cordoned off & some areas are temporarily under makeshift operations. Sometimes I like going either right when they open or just before closing, less crazy crowds. I got some top & bottom clothing for Hubby (he rarely shops for himself). Self checkout is a breeze & it's no muss, no fuss. I had no staff interaction besides the one at the exit, she was nice & efficient. This is one of the greatest Costcos in terms of the cheapest selection of clothing! They also did some renovations so the gas station is on the other side of the parking lot and more spacious. I can here on a Wednesday evening around 5pm after work and there were plenty of gas stations open and plenty of parking space. They now scan your membership in the front so make sure you have your memberships out and ready. My aunt and I went a bit crazy looking through the cart full of cheap clothes (ranging from $2-$10!) and bought a few shorts and shirts. Overall, great renovations to this Costco being done and I will always love and appreciate the existence of Costco! read more

It reads more like, "We're sorry you're upset," than any real acknowledgment of wrongdoing. The letter claims your cashier "followed regular Costco procedure." Is it standard Costco procedure to scream "Have a great night!!" passive-aggressively across the room at a customer? That's not just unprofessional--it's flat-out inappropriate and gross. Goodbye churros...HELLO double chocolate chip chunk cookie! These cookies are served warm, crunchy on the outside, soft and filled with ooey gooey chocolate in the inside. Each cookie is 750 calories and ALL butter but who's counting?! lol I recommend pairing it with an ice cream cup. Sooo good! Also, don't wait to eat the cookie, enjoy it while it's warm because it started to harden as it cooled. Service was great, I placed my order at the kiosk and picked it up at the window. This review is only for the food court! PARKING: Plenty of parking, but do be prepared for some traffic sometimes as the gas station section of Costco does spill over to regular traffic even with the singular designated lane. SEATING: As the food court is a popular area, I do like that it is outdoors when the weather is favorable. Unfortunately the tables here feel so squished and close together! The self checkout kisok and the line to pickup or physically order with someone make the seating area very uncomfortable in the middle section of the seating area. I sat in the middle tables just to snack real quick and my right arm was brushing up against every single person in that line as they moved forward. I even made myself smaller in order to prevent that. There were four of us and two of us had the unfortunate experience of that for awhile as the line was getting long. A minor inconvenience but something they could fix if they wanted to by spacing out the tables. SERVICE: I know too with staff shortages and busy wait times, it can be hard to keep up with the cleanliness of the tables. We were met with a very messy table which we had to wipe off with our own wipes because none of the napkin dispensers had napkins. I placed my order at the self checkout kiosk so the service there was quick. The line went fast to pick up and the cashier was very nice. I always forget to phone in for a pizza, so I ended up waiting around 15 minutes for a whole pizza which isn't that bad. FOOD: Costco pizza ($9.95) never lets me down and I will always defend it! I wish they brought back the combination pizza. Maybe one day. I tried a new offering on their menu which featured their new strawberry soft serve. I got it twisted with the vanilla with added strawberries. ($2.49) It is so delicious!! I would definitely get it again. The salad ($6.99) was something new to me as well. It was a basic salad. Nothing too spectacular about it, so I wouldn't get it again. It wasn't bad but I wasn't wowed. OVERALL: Definitely needs improvement over the seating and the cleanliness. Staff definitely not blamed as I know it gets busy. The self checkout kiosk too should be moved for convenience also because of the seating situation. I understand it's not an all day situation for the seating here, but no one want to be uncomfortable in a dirty setting eating a little snack even if it's for 5 minutes. read more

I would like to give a shout-out to the kind gentleman working at the pharmacy on Saturday, 12/13/25, around 2:00 p.m. That afternoon, my husband, our two young boys, and I were at Costco for our weekly shopping. As we walked down the pharmacy aisle, another customer turned the corner and accidentally bumped her cart into ours. My husband politely said, "Excuse me." No one was at fault, these things happen. However, instead of responding cordially, the woman began yelling at us in front of our children before squeezing past us. The two employees at the pharmacy counter witnessed the interaction and immediately apologized, saying, "Sorry about that." We continued with our shopping, but a few minutes later, the gentleman went out of his way to find us and check in to make sure we were okay. I was truly touched by his kindness, especially since he was apologizing for someone else's behavior. He wished us happy holidays, and in a time when the world can feel so divided and filled with anger, encountering someone so genuine and caring meant more than he probably realizes. His actions restored my faith in humanity, warmed my heart, and turned an unpleasant moment into a positive one. I am reminded that there are still good people out there. I sincerely hope management sees this message and recognizes both pharmacy employees, especially this gentleman, for going above and beyond his job duties. Thank you. read more

Where does that come from after we spoke with Zoe from this tire center 3 days ago and confirmed on the phone.
