Nationwide gas prices are their best Mon and Fri. Then add Costco pricing why wouldn't you go there!! The lines are not too long!

I was already predisposed to like it as it's got about as conscious of a business as a whole sale warehouse can have. The people are always nice and helpful no matter how crowded this place is. The thing that is really good is the food, who knew? The pizza slice is a 1.50! you can feed a family of 3 for under 5! It's good pizza! I have not tried the gas or the gas prices to comment on that. The employees here are consistently helpful and friendly. This goes for every single department from the pharmacy to automotive. I cannot say enough good things about the pharmacy. They fill your prescriptions quickly and accurately, and are always looking for ways to save your money. This location is like most other locations. They don't have a liquor store because Eden Prairie has municipal stores. Other than that, it's a typical Costco. I bought tires here for my VW. Great price on a full set of Michelins. I have had zero issues with the tires or installation. I would totally recommend Costco to buy your tires. For $60 a year, this membership is a bargain. read more

At the recommendation of a fellow Yelper, I opted to try this location instead of the West End one this weekend - and I'm glad I did! I love Costco no matter what, but more parking and less busy on weekends is a huge plus. And this location has so much parking, I was in shock! I went on a Sunday afternoon and did it to myself, but this location still seemed less busy than the West End one. Same great selection, same unbeatable prices! The usual suspects and my Costco favorites are: Rotisserie chicken, hummus cups, applesauce packets, and samples while I shop :) The line for concessions was a bit shorter at this location when I went, and there were lots of folks taking advantage of the tables there. I didn't get gas this time, but the line looked shorter than the West End one usually is and was moving fast. Highly recommend if you're a weekend Costco warrior and get tired of the West End location business! read more

I was expecting a large section of organic foods and grass-fed beef. The number of stars given should indicated that my expectations were not even close to being met. I've always enjoyed this location, the parking is generally easy to get into/out of and this is my preferred gas location too! I will say the holiday season makes it a lot more hectic than I prefer, but that's just par for the course. I really just wanted to give kudos to the front end manager who replaced an item that I had left behind. I still don't know if I left it in the cart or register, but she replaced it without question. I guess I am not sure how to rate it. Nothing blew me away. It's the same deal with every box store - if you know your price per unit is when you'll know if you're getting a good deal or not. For example - watch the price of 35 cans of Diet Coke vs down the street at Target. Who is cheaper?- sometimes Target by a bit! Not sure about any 'Karen's' as from reviews prior. The employees I encountered were just fine. You'll find them ("Karen's") anywhere. Not sure how it's Costco's fault. Don't come in a state if you're emotional and have a tendency to eat your feelings. Now I have two huge tubs of Nutella to cry into ... that I probably, no really, didn't need... but hey my price per oz was a steal! (they we're on sale) Happy shopping. read more

I was looking for the Costco monopoly game at $9.97. 2 Costco stores are sold out. I called, and the person said they had 87 in stock. Score! I bought 3 games. The checkout lines were super long. I did self checkout. The gas pump lines were long as this Costco only has 2 pumps in each aisle, not 3. This Costco is too far away to be my Costco. I was on my way home from St Cloud. Super busy on a sunday. 4/5 as their gas pump area was awkward and 2 pumps on each row, made for much longer waits. read more

It's absolutely insane that I have to come on here and write a review. Costco has historically being good to me and my family but this location is a dump! Here's a few of my issues: a few months ago we were shopping for groceries and a team member began to pitch us the executive card, despite us saying "I'm okay" and "we're good on that" and my fiancé saying "we're not upgrading" this guy continued to sell us on all the benefits and stuff and how we could greatly benefit by upgrading. This was during a busy day and there was super long lines at the registers.... He followed us the whole time in line and kept pitching us despite our efforts to make him go away. The cashier lady picked up on his pitch and then she began trying to sell us on the membership upgrade and this is when the original guy brings over an iPad and shows us the monetary amount we could be benefitting by. I told him to go away because we're not interested in which he briefly left. We checked out and decided to grab a slice of pizza before we went home. As we were ordering our pizza guess who comes by with a pamphlet with the membership details.... Yep the same guy... he says "if you come over to the desk I can get you set up" I look at him in the eye.... Didn't say anything and took his pamphlet and turned my back on him and went to go find a seat. Me and my fiancé were in shock for the lengths that this guy would go to Try and sell us, we picked up our pizza and we're still discussing whatever just happened when all of a sudden we hear someone whispering into my ear "upgrade to the executive membership" I slowly turned to the side and it was the cashier lady..... we didn't say anything to her and it made it awkward and then she began to apologize and slipped in some benefits for the executive membership..... then there's today.... I was with my mother on this Friday morning headed to Costco to do some Christmas party shopping. We're regular members so we got there around 9:45 so we had to wait for 10am so we can enter. My mother suffers from IBS and felt an episode/accident coming in. So we walked to the front at 9:48 and I scanned my car to be let in and the guy yelled at me and my elderly mother to "upgrade or get out" I explained the situation to him and told him that we need to use the bathroom for her medical issues and he wasn't haven't any of it and pointed me to the exit and said "try again in 12 minutes buddy" this is absurd....... read more

This Costco location is by far my favorite store. Clean organized and tons of parking. The lines at the registers can get pretty long but they move very quickly. The folks in the Hearing center, Optical department and Pharmacy are absolute "ROCK STARS". They go so far above and beyond good customer service that they deserve extra recognition (I wish I had written their names down). The hearing test I had done was by far more comprehensive than any ENT Doctor I've ever been to. And when my hearing aids came in, the technician took plenty of time with me and explained how to use them and adjusted them so they fit perfectly. These folks know their stuff. Service with the optical department was the same way. I have a very unique prescription (and my glasses are rarely correct the first time around), I talked it over with the young man (again didn't get his name) who helped me and he made notes on the order regarding my issues. And sure enough, they were perfect the very first time. I live in TX now, and I like my local Costco store. But, the Eden Prairie, MN is a hard act to follow. read more

I called the Eden Prairie store to see if they had Apple Pie in their bakery yet the first person that answered the phone said let me ask around it was determined that they did not I got a call back that they were sending someone back to the bakery to double check, they again called back and said no pies and gave me a date of when they thought they might be back. This is incredible customer service to find my number in Caller ID and call me back I was shocked. We all know how busy Costco is and for them to take the extra time to do this was so nice. Costco: my one stop shop for everything and anything I've ever needed in my life. Food? They've got you covered. Name brand clothing? It's . How about household items, toilet paper, and the like? There's plenty of it ! And in bulk. And the best part is? It's all cheaper than what you can get in other grocery stores. You may have to purchase a yearly membership but it's honestly so worth it and saves you so much $ in the long run. We go here at least once a week and always enjoy the large selection, the friendly employees, and the abundance of samples. Seriously, they don't run out of samples here and there are plenty of them available even during the weekdays. I would say the only downside is the gas station gets crowded. However, they have a good system - 3 pumps per line and plenty of room to pass people. The line goes by fast so it's not a big deal. Tip: don't pass up the Costco Brand toilet paper, paper towels, and clothing detergent. Kirkland does an amazing job at making their items comparable to name brand items. If you've been to 1 Costco, I feel like you've been to them all. I have only been to 2 Costco stores in my life and don't have a very large field to base this off of. This store was clean, organized and had just the right amount of sample carts for my taste. Very busy store, people in a hurry. Checkouts are OK. But the self checkouts are terrible. No hand scanners, have to pickup heavy item like, cases of water, and slide past scanner. Asked girl about that, she was rude and insulting, said she had a hand scanner, not for customer use , and laughed. Sam's has hand scanners, that work great! Told her to put items in cart back on shelf. Will buy at Sam's. No longer buy glasses from optical dept. The backup camera screen is not viewable with CostCo glasses on, have take to see, due to polarization. Women assured no problems with LCD screen, SHE LIED. Paid for a worthless pair of sunglasses. Very limited lens choices at CostCo. Walmart has many choices, got sunglasses, custom tinted gradient Rx lenses, work great. Bought 2 pair Rx glasses for what one pair would cost at CostCo. Employees at CostCo voted to strike, store treats employees like crap Then they treat customers like crap. May not renew CostCo membership next month. read more

Absolute BS that my own children can't by groceries under an account we've been paying $60 annually for. We've been members for 21 years, but after today where my daughters got kicked out of the store because they're not on the account, I'm cancelling my membership. The $5 in savings are not worth all of this shit. I work 10 hours a day. By the time I get off work, Costco is almost closed. I can't get there, shop, and check out by the time the store closes. If I want my children to buy the groceries for me because I don't have the time to go myself, I should be able to do that. Screw Costco. Aldi's is the way to go. Got to experience a Karen check out person today that would not let my wife check out on joint card. Said I needed to be in the store and pay with my card. She stopped ringing up midway through and told her if I wasn't there they wouldn't allow her to keep going. They then called the manager over while holding up the line embarrassing her. She then thought it was a good time to make chit chat and tell me my wife how she should have her own cheap membership so she could get points on her own. When I got inside they never asked to see my ID to confirm who I was after they made a big deal over carding her and saying my wife's husband need to pay for her. What kind of trash customer service is this?! You make a big deal over all of this and then don't even "do you job" to back up your reasoning for stopping my wife makes no sense. This Karen was on a power trip and it was poorly executed with nothing backing it up. read more

Never ever tires here again. Other reviews warned me to not get tires at Costco & I should have listened. After a year of tires installed at Costco I was denied warrantee & the tires were shot. 20% left on the fronts & the rears were dangerous. I did have them rotated & I did have them aligned, after install. I've never had such a quick loss or wear on any tires after 30 years of driving. This is an expensive mistake & I got 4 new tires elsewhere before any more snow flies. They should have offered the warrantee. My new tires bought elsewhere have a full warrantee no matter the wear and tear, guaranteed, regardless of wear patterns (discount tire has an explicit & great warrantee program for 3 years on the tires). I drive about 17k miles a year. Please get your tires elsewhere and save time, hassle, money, fairness. February 2019 is what is written below: We know what Costco is & this one in Eden Prairie is my favorite. Against previous reviews advice, I did get my tires here. However, I had my expectations set ahead of time for the long wait. I did have an appointment but it took a couple hours. I asked about this whole setting the appointment & so I prepared to go shopping & I brought a book. Even though I had a book a chatty customer spoke to me for a half an hour, so time flew by. End result: my great tires don't need inflating at all the temperature changes because Costco tires are filled with nitrogen instead of just air that expands & contracts more. No regrets. Time & aggravation is saved me in the longer run. Lots of great savings, of course: so get familiar & save money. I find the cashiers friendly; however, I also perceive Costco is more busy than it was, say, 2 years ago. They've hired more staff, but there are more customers most any time of day, most days. read more

What is the purpose of having 6 self check out lanes with NO hand held device to read the bar code. Instead they have the customer, thinking this effort should go quick, remove each item and slide the item through the scanner and place in the bagging area. Took me 15 minutes and should have taken half that time...or better. Sam's Club has is right! An extra cart at the self check out line and a hand held scanner. For political correctness I won't call it a gun. So the story goes on. As I was emptying my cart, only to put it back into the cart after scanning, transferring to the bagging area while it gets weighed, only to put it back into the cart it just came from 15 minutes ago, an employee with hand scanner in hand ask to scan the bottled water on the bottom of my cart. Sure, why not. I asked why they didn't have hands scanners for the customer, and I was told, that question was above their pay grade. So I just continued with my scanning. Upon reaching the door and providing my receipt to another employee with a scanning gun, damn I mean hand scanner, I asked why don't the have hand scanners at self check out. I was told that they DO have self check out. I said, I know, I just spent a bunch of time emptying my cart only to replace all the items after scanning, weighing ......well, you know. The event had not lost its humor when the ladies waiting in line behind me offered this advice........."if you beg the employee that is holding the gun to hand scan your items while they remain IN THE CART, IT WILL GO A LOT QUICKER. Obviously members of the NRA, nevertheless great advice. I'll be back when Costco stocks Diet Coke in 16.9 ounce/500ml plastic bottles just like the store that has scanner guns. DAMN! read more

Ordered cat food for delivery, they sent the wrong stuff, arranged to have the right stuff sent, they sent the wrong stuff again, and even though it was online orders had to go to the warehouse to return. Huge waste of time, frustrating dealing with customer service because no one could do anything because it's all policy and not people thinking. read more

This is a secondary Costco location that I go to when in the vicinity. Maplewood is my favorite. One thing that I've found here that I haven't seen at other locations is shepherd's pie. No idea why they don't have this elsewhere, especially as it's very tasty. We all enjoyed this and the chicken enchiladas we bought for dinner one night. Yes, we made them both. Now the downside of these two meals is that THEY TAKE FOREVER TO HEAT IN THE OVEN. They take more than an hour, so be sure to preheat and put them in EARLY. We ate dinner after 10pm because we didn't realize the eternity-based cooking times for these dishes. They were well worth the wait, which pleased us all. The thing to remember about this location is that getting fueled up first is the best bet. Because of how this one is structured, it can be a pain to try and get back over to the gas station. The staff here are nice and the deli line moves quickly. We usually stop for a hotdog or something when we're here. Ask for sauerkraut and onions when you order the dogs, as these things are now kept behind the register in little cups. read more

I was here at 9:30 for a 10 o'clock opening and did not get seen until 1145. I bought the tires a week ago! The savings on tires is not worth the aggravation!!! read more

I have been on the hunt to find an affordable phone plan for some time. Henry helped me and my family get the best deal. Not only that but he was patient, to the point, and reliable. For the most part, I really love this Costco compared to other locations. It has just about everything you could ever want listed at competitive prices and great staff. (Occasionally, I make the dire mistake of agreeing to shop there with my parents, which results in me wandering the isles looking for interesting things and sampling all sorts of goodies while they examine each an every meat and produce item.) And about the staff, here's an example of how awesome they are: For my birthday, I received a vacuum cleaner bought from this Costco. (This is how I know I'm getting old.) Unfortunately, when I used it for the very first time, it started on fire! Since it was literally fried, I had to return it and didn't get the stank eye from anyone at customer service. No questions asked. No problem. I've also visited this location to switch in and out my summer and winter tires. It's usually fast, although, there have been some hiccups such as the service peeps accidentally disabling my Tire Pressure Monitoring System. It's pretty close to a five, but I'll have to only give four stars since this location does not have an alcohol section. read more

Neighborhood Costco, good for bulk purchases, cheap pizza, and a random assortment of goods. I joined Costco simply because of the rave reviews I heard about the dog food they re-brand. I end up saving about 20$/month compared to a similar dog food I was purchasing at the pet specialty store down the street. Costco is a lot like Sams Club or other membership warehouses we don't have in Minnesota. You pay up front the $50/yearly fee, and you and your household(or business) gets to buy tons of bulk items it will take you all year to deplete. The Costco salesmen will really push you to upgrade to the higher membership card. I believe it is $100 or so, but you get a % back of your purchases so if you spend something like $3k/year, you end up breaking even then starting to get extra $ back. The products at Costco are very high quality from what I have found. They try to select the market leader in a product range, and then rebrand it under the "Kirkland" moniker and sell it for a great price. You can find better deals sometimes elsewhere, but for the most part Costco has very competitive prices and bulk options you can't find elsewhere. The store itself is large, clean, and usually a fast checkout. Many people only get 5-10 items, so even though the checkout lines could be long, you won't be waiting more then 5 minutes. One gripe I have is that Costco doesn't accept Visa/Mastercard, but that is universal for the company and not specific to this store. Another is that they send out coupon books, and they arrive at your house about a week before you can even use them. So your stuck looking at these deals you would like to go buy today, but you have to cut them out and wait the week(good marketing, but very annoying). Watch out for this place on Saturdays, it gets super busy, and people with large carts and even larger items on those carts will try to run you over. read more

My review is based off of eating here I am giving this 4 stars due to the convenience, price, quality, and customer service. Convienence, because you do not need a membership to eat here. If the line is long it will go quick. Quality, because they have very few menu item but all are good and always fresh. From their huge salad to their huge all beef hot dog. Customer Service, because they always know what they are doing behind the counter. I never have to repeat myself twice and my order is always correct. They hire competent people. Price, because I can feed a family of three for under $12. A full meal with huge smoothies or ice cream cups. Plus you don't have any issues with a kids toy. I never knew how many issues a kids toy could cause. So basically I do not go to any fast food place any more. I go here. read more

Great products and kind staff. However, many customers who frequent this Costco, specifically the middle-aged female customers, are textbook examples of "Karens" on the prowl for an issue. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for other locations like Maple Grove and St. Louis Park. Guys and non-Karens, come here with the expectation that you WILL be unnecessarily snapped at by a Karen, most likely for not being 6 feet away, even if you are. They are especially aggressive by the produce cooler, and can sometimes be seen wearing shirts related to high schools their kids presumably attend, such as "Prior Lake Lakers Dance Mom," or "Eden Prairie Eagles Cheer Mom."
