There aren't any places like this where I go to school (I have to visit multiple different small Asian grocery stores to get all the things I want), so when I visit Minneapolis I always go here to get everything in one trip. They always have shan yao (mountain yam), which is a root vegetable that is hard to find in smaller Asian grocery stores. Other must-get items include red bean mochi rice cakes (and the raw red beans that are used to make the paste), taro root, and a big bag of brown sugar boba pearls. There aren't a lot of staff members around to assist with finding things (you usually have to go to the checkout counters to find someone), so be prepared for much searching through the shelves (fun searching though). read more

We were craving for Asian food but many restaurants closed early... we found a Chinese restaurant that stayed open longer that evening and after checking-in our hotel we drove to the Asia Mall. This shopping center had two levels of diverse offerings including Asian groceries, snacks, drinks, bakery and a variety of international products. Nice and clean with spacious layout, well-organized. Downstairs we found sections showcasing different Asian non-food merch and cultural items. Upstairs are many restaurants. I enjoy coming to shop the Asian grocery store. I can never say no to Japanese Kit Kat selections or Asian Lay's! The aisles can get a little claustrophobic during busy times and the parking is TERRIBLE. Even though the building has its own lot, it is almost always full and people drive like madmen around it. read more

This Asia mall is pretty much a 1 stop shop for all your Asian groceries,bakery, restaurants, gifts, hair and beauty services. There is a AYCE hotpot restaurant, a hong Kong style restaurant, Vietnamese restaurant, Korean bbq, Japanese, decent size market. I dined at the Hong Kong style restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the dishes were. And they sure charge enough for the dishes as well. The people at every stop we went were so friendly and kind and helpful and we had a wonderful experience. Asia Mall located in Eden Prairie has been on my list of places to check out for quite a while and I'm so glad I've finally gone there this weekend! I've heard many stories about not finding parking space so I felt really lucky finding not only 1 but 3 empty parking spaces near the entrance . But the parking lot did look very full otherwise. The first thing I noticed even before entering the mall, was the smell of hot chili oil that filled the air in the parking lot; it's a good sign (in my books) of delicious tasty Asian food being prepared. Upon entering the mall, I noticed a Chinese home decor vendor to my left and to my right, a Chinese restaurant with whole roasted ducks (yummm!) displayed behind a counter glass. There was a grocery store towards the center left side of the mall and a big open space to its right. Walking in straight ahead into the mall, I proceeded upstairs to the second floor to use the restroom. The small restroom seemed clean and well upkept. The second floor of the mall has several restaurants and a few stores. We decided to get food items from different restaurants for dinner. Started by picking a small selection of freshly made sushi from Ebi Sushi Box. I love the concept of choosing sushi pieces of your choice from a good variety of rolls and filling up your own box! For $12.99 per pound, this was very good and delicious! The staff members were friendly and the restaurant's seating area was limited but clean. We took our order to go and they packaged the food container neatly into a nice little bag with napkins and chopsticks for us. Next, we ordered drinks from Boba X then went to seat in CrunchCheese where we ordered Korean corn dogs and ate our food. If you haven't had Korean corn dogs, please try them! They're different from American corn dogs and have a variety of coatings and fillings. CrunCheese is also the perfect place to try because they're simply the best (in my opinion) . After dinner, we shopped the grocery store for snacks and drinks before heading home. The store offered a good selection of food from different Asian ethnicities. A couple of years ago, I was watching FOX 9 Good Day. The show broke the news that a new Asian mall was under construction in Eden Prairie. I was thrilled, as finding a decent Asian supermarket when I lived in Minnesota was tough. Well, it took me two year to finally drop by Asia Mall. I only scratched the surface during my brief visit last month, as I had a Minnesota Wild game to go to and came here on a whim. I found a parking spot fairly close to the main entrance. I learned that this place has heated underground parking, too. It wasn't frigid when I was there, but it is now! I'd recommend heading over to the right side of the building. There are signs that get you down to the parking lot. I saw elevators and stairs to get you to the mall and back. I visited two businesses at this mall: - Keefer Court Bakery - Asian Mart I have separate reviews for them. In a nutshell, you have the best Asian bakery in the city that offers buns, tarts, hot foods, and Vietnamese desserts. You also have a massive Asian supermarket with the most awesome selection of produce, noodles, beverages, and more. This mall has two floors with businesses that appeal to me. Boba tea. Mochi donuts, Korean dogs. Hot pot. Pho. Bingsu. The list is extensive. I'll definitely be back. I have been told that the hot pot is excellent. I'll be there. I was so happy at this mall. The Asia Mall in the Minneapolis area is great new attraction for the area. My husband and I visited here on a trip to Minnesota. The shopping area is visually impressive and clean. There is an Asian grocery store, many restaurants, and other Asian owned businesses housed in this mall. We went to the first floor bakery and had some sweet treats. I just love this place! Every time I come here, I have a great experience. What a joy it is to have something like this here in Minnesota. I love that they have a huge parking lot! Pro tip: did you know they have heated underground parking available? Drive to the right of the building and follow the signs in. There are interior elevators and stairs to take you right up without having to go outside. While there are multiple awesome businesses in here, they each deserve their own Yelp review. So my review is mainly about the space itself, and the grocery store. BUILDING You can spend a whole day in here from breakfast pastries to snacks, shopping to lunch and dinner! I am working on crossing every spot in here off my list, but so far my favorites are the mochi donuts, boba upstairs, hot pot (THE BEST IN THE CITIES), korean corn dogs, and the grocery store. I love that they have imported trinkets and goods shops, as well as beauty and self care shop! GROCERY I refuse to leave Asia Mall without stopping in the grocery store to stock up on snacks and fun goodies. Went with some friends to this place and we loved it!! I got the "chicken cashew" dish upstairs. The flavor was great, but I wish I would've went from something spicer. The dish was $20, which is a little high compared to the portion size, can't complain too much though. Service was good... but they did forget one order (we had to ask and they brought it out quick), they also mixed up one friend's tea order, but corrected that as well. We also checked out some of the shops, which provided a wide range of health products and figures/toys. I believe most of the items are imported from Asia areas. Which makes sense ! A few folks in our group got Boba Tea and they enjoy them. The star of the place? Mochi Donuts! You must try these donuts if you visit here. Get at least 3-6 to try different flavors and bring some home for later. Don't think about the calories . There's two "coming soon" restaurants/signs. I love coming to Asia mall (especially since we don't have an hmart or 99 ranch up here). There's a lot to do whether you go dine at one of the restaurants, shop at some of the other smaller stores like ebisu, or just do a grocery run stocking up on Asian snacks, seasonings, etc. I don't think you can go wrong with Asia mall. The Asia mall is a great experience. There are so many restaurants to choose from, and the grocery store itself is massive with a ton of options. I like how they section off different parts of the store. For example, the fish area and some of the smaller specialty items are tucked behind separate doors, which actually helps the place feel more organized and makes it easier to figure out where everything is. It is pretty clear where to go depending on what you are looking for. As far as the restaurants, there are a lot of choices and I have already reviewed a few of them separately, but in general the food options here are very good. On my first visit here, it was a gathering of the urban sketchers group. Parking was difficult but I just kept driving around until a space opened. Entering the mall, the main atrium opened to a large two story space. I loved the colorful lanterns hanging from the ceiling. The second floor is surrounded by a railing so you can check out the floor below. The eating wasn't quite how I expected it. It seemed to be a lot of sit down restaurants. I was just looking for a quick snack at a walk up window and didn't see them. I didn't eat so perhaps there is an easy way to get takeout? Perusing the grocery store was fun. I love the colors of the products in the aisles. The fish room had options for purchase that I wasn't used to seeing, such as fish heads. We wanted to visit this mall since we heard about it. We lived in Japan, Guam and Korea over the years and we crave the food we ate there. We also loved the shopping. There are shops, a food court, bakery and grocery store. We had the best time going into every area and getting things that reminded us of our time in Asia. We spent the most time in the grocery store choosing things we were familiar with and other things we wanted to try. Prices seemed similar to other areas in the US where we have shopped. Really fun place to visit. There's always a line for Mochi Donuts so I only buy them when the line is shorter. I also love the Korean Corn Dogs from Cruncheez upstairs. I come here for the great selection of Asian food and goods. Can't wait for the Keefer Court bakery to open... I'll probably visit much more often when they do. Service is hit or miss. I've had a wide mix of experiences while shopping and eating here. I'm not sure this is the best place to visit if you're looking for value. Many products are overpriced. I did find some seafood at the Asian Mart on sale once, but their snacks were priced higher than I expected. They also have shops that sell Asian or Asian inspired decorations. I've been super excited to visit the Asia Mall since I heard about. A lot of my friends who went when it first opened advised to maybe wait a bit because it didn't have many vendors yet. We waited and it still seemed a little underwhelming. We did walk around and skim the menus of all the restaurants and ended up just getting the mochi donuts and grabbing food from somewhere else. I didn't get the chance to browse the market much but it did look like it had a lot to offer. The mochi donut place was the only vendor who had a bit of a long line. We waited, then you order & pay on a kiosk, which is efficient but the kiosk had different products than the menu and the drink customizations are very limited. They call you up by name to pick the flavor donuts you want. Donuts are premade. I will say I've been to less busy mochi donut places that make them fresh and they are a lot better when they are warm. I got the cookies & cream, funnel cake & cake batter. I came with some friends and we wanted to have some hot pot and Hot Pot City wasn't packed like the last time I visited! They have the AYCE option which is always nice since you can pick and choose what you want to put into your soup bases vs having a ton of random leftover ingredients. We opted for the Sichuan Spicy and Bone Broth based - really yummy options and not too spicy! The delivery robot is so cute! It makes service very easy and fun. Our waitress was so nice - she was attentive and made sure we got everything we needed. We visited Asia Mall during their soft opening and we are very pleased with our visits. We arrived when they open (at noon) and left with full tummy and a full trunk full of goodies. We tired the hongkon cruise on the first level, Home Taste, and ordered the roasted duck, BBq pork, sizzling chicken, pea shoots and salt and pepper baby octopus. The food is very good. Just to know if you pay with credit card, there 3.9% service fee. We also got mochi dough and Bubba tea on the first level, as well as grocery shopping at the asian market. Was a fun outing full of food and a little grocery shopping to boot. I will say the ambiance is quite lovely and well themed. The parking lot is crazy busy, think Black Friday for that it item at a target or Best Buy. So ether get their early or expect to take awhile to park or walk. We ate at hot pot which was good albeit the service could be improved as they forgot our drinks, we had to ask for broth, the robot was the best server they had. We asked the manager, and two servers multiple times to nods and nothing coming. For the price I expect a little better service or at least competent service. So overall I give the a 4 star for the food and 1 for the service. We also did the mochi donuts and a few boba teas. These were very good and although the line was long it went quickly and ordering on the touchscreen was seamless and very easy. Absolutely 4 out of five. Next time I will definitely try Pho Mai or the Hong Kong cuisine. The grocery store was very neat and well laid out. Now it's not as big as sun foods or dragon star so do not expect the same volume or options. The pricing was pretty spot on with our usual Asian grocery store and very polite service. Overall a very positive experience, however right now as a mall it's not really there. It's more of a food court with a grocery store at this point. Filled to the brim with Asian goodness! The biggest reason for only 3 stars is the parking. Not sure if it was due to snow or that the day we went was during winter break but parking is a nightmare. Don't take the lower road to the right. It only takes you behind the building where there is no parking. If full, best to wait for someone to walk to their car. Now to the treasures within the "mall." You can get Pho at Pho Mai, Korean hot dogs at CrunCheese, moochi donuts at Moochi Donuts, boba at Bober Tea, Korean BBQ at Dosirak and there are two other options for hot pot and Hong Kong fare. We opted for our favorites, Pho Mai, Moochi donut, and CrunCheese which I will review separately. We love both. I imagine this is getting the Twin Cities closer to what an "H Mart" is like. The grocery shop m the main level had lots of options from frozen to staples to fresh. The kimchi we purchased was great. All of the options for eats were busy but the lines weren't horrible and it was Christmas break so once you get inside you can really satisfy many cravings. We will for sure be back. I'm giving Asia Mall five stars in hopes that they will continue to improve their operations. I visited during their soft opening with very high hopes and excitement. I have been complaining for years that the twin cities deserve and need an H Mart type store due to the high population of Hmong people. I find myself having to go to multiple grocery stores when trying to make some of my favorite Filipino or Thai recipes. I'll start with the pros: Restaurant selections look promising! The hot pot restaurant looked delicious and was serve your own additives. I was gaping at the robots rolling around giving people menus. Too cool! There was a Korean corn dog spot, two boba tea joints, and a few more options. I'm hopeful that one of the open spots upstairs might turn into a sushi spot. Meat / Seafood area was my favorite part of the grocery offerings. They had serve your own fresh crabs at $5 a pound and all the cuts of meat you could want. Cons: the selections for fresh produce and other items was very slim. I'm hoping this was just because of the soft opening, but I worry that I'm not sure how much more they could expand the fresh produce areas to even hold much more inventory. :/ in my opinion, the fresh produce sections in an HMart type of asian grocery store is what sets it apart from other smaller asian grocery stores. My wishlist would include fresh kimchis, a larger vegetable selection, and for one of the stores upstairs to offer asian alcoholic beverages like soju, Japanese whiskeys, etc. parking was also pretty rough, I'm thankful they had someone working in the parking lot to help guide cars to open spots, If they weren't there I think I would've given up on finding parking and just left! Overall, I think the more asian grocery options the merrier! But I hope one day there will be an epic HMart like store that would provide all my asian grocery needs and more in one place! But for now, Asia mall does not meet that, but I think it might be able to one day! read more

I went to Asia Mall in Eden Prairie for their soft opening this afternoon and was really impressed! They are still trying to work through a few kinks with staffing & what not but that's to be expected at soft openings! The grocery part of the store was laid out beautiful and had everything you could imagine from snacks, candy, fresh produce, frozen food AND live/fresh seafood. I walked over to check out the seafood and they have a little tank right in the middle of the room that you can use tongs and grab as much fresh live crab you want-so fascinating to watch! The dinning options are AMAZING. I first stopped at Mochi Dough & tried out 6 of their flavored donuts. This was my first time ever having a mochi donut. Mochi donuts are a fusion pastry crossing additional American donuts & Japanese Mochi. They have a slightly sweet taste but not as sweet as our traditional donuts. 10/10 recommend trying. We had lunch at Pho Mai. I had their Chicken Pho along with an appetizer plate that had shrimp spring roll, egg roll, cream cheese wantons and wings with sweet chili sauce. This was a lot of food so if you are not starving I'd recommend ordering just the Pho unless you are with a group to share the appetizer. 10/10 read more

I like it here. I don't spend much time in Eden Prairie, but Google Maps was accurate, and it was easy to find. Despite the flurries and chilly temperatures, the place was packed! (Head to the right and down the hill instead of turning left and looking for a spot right out front.). You can smell the delicious foods on offer from the parking lot, and while I had come primarily for the grocery, I had to go upstairs to check out the restaurants. Color me impressed. I am definitely going to come back. The Korean restaurant right at the top of the stairs is legit--the smells (sesame! spice!) and the sight of the stone jjigae bowls and stainless steel rice bowls took me right back to Seoul. I am definitely coming back for some bibimbap. Note: there is also a patbingsu place. They have the traditional red bean I. Am. Stoked. There are plenty of other options, but those excited me the most. The grocery section is also amazing. With an impressive selection and good prices, you will definitely want to stop by if you're looking for your favorite hard-to-find greens, mushrooms, fruits, spices, seasonings, and condiments. I scored some green curry paste, ginger, and baby bok choy (they have several varieties), all for under ten bucks. read more

My wife and I were on a Costco run in Eden Prairie and decided to stop by the new Asia Mall. It was about 10:30, so most of the restaurants were not open yet. We did look at some of the menus, and they were actually pretty expensive. The Hot Pot place looked pretty good though. It was all you can eat for about $36 on the weekend. They also had a Korean barbeque place as well that I would love to try some day. I think one of the places have a robot that can serve you as well. I would like to see that in action. The downstairs is mostly the grocery store. They have some really cool stuff in here. I have been on a canned fish kick lately, and they had a bunch of different kinds. I got two. They had a lot of people buying blue crabs at six bucks a piece. I couldn't tell if they were restaurant owners or not, but some were getting a dozen of them. It was pretty crazy, probably 100 live crabs just in a box. They also had stuff like chicken gizzards, pig ears, pig intestines, oysters, All sorts of great stuff. We got some cuttle fish balls in the frozen section and some dehydrated anchovies for pizza later on. Gotta see this place! read more

I can't wait to see this place fill in more! I had so much fun exploring. Hot Pot City was fun, the crane/arcade area was great (pretty pricey, both of them!) Some little shops are fun to poke around, I wish there were more. The grocery area itself was fun to wander through and there are sometimes sales which I don't usually see in other Asian supermarkets so we picked up some staples and some new fun things to try. It's a trek out to Eden Prairie for us even just from the Cities, but if they grow more I would go again to check it out. Hooray Keefer Court! We tried Bober Tea and I would try the other bubble shop next time, Bober was fine but I like to see my options! Sadly bathrooms are only on the upper floor so it's also a trek to go to the bathrooms and they're pretty small which is odd for such a big space (3 stalls). read more

A small grocery store, but decent variety, clean and well maintained. The upstairs has a variety of different small shops, food stalls, restaurants and a shop with also a little arcade area. Then there is also a new bakery on the 1st floor, the Chinese bakery goods all seemed to be priced at $4.75 from bbq pork buns to egg tarts. read more
