I just had the worst experience at Costco in manteca my favorite store to go to when I need to buy my groceries. My sister and I went to the register to pay for our groceries and we were going to do 2 transactions. We put on the belt my sisters groceries first, followed by my own , I had more groceries in the cart and the woman named Kim Fowler, started scanning everything at once. I immediately told her that the stuff from the cart was separate from the stuff on the belt and she had the worst attitude. Continued to scan and I was telling her we were doing different transactions, she was super mad at the fact she had 2 void 2 items so my sister asked her if she was having a bad day and she said no and she was throwing my stuff. I told her you have a horrible attitude . My sister told her she was going to talk to the manager and the woman said "be my guest" so the manager comes over and we explain what is going on and the woman literally walked away leaving us just there. Soon another guy that was putting the stuff in the cart took over . I was so upset and the fact the manager didn't say a word he didn't even seem like a manager. I am so upset that Costco let's their customers get treated this way . Very unprofessional and very very rude . I will NOT be returning to Costco in manteca . They need better management to handle these type of issues read more

Item was sold in store $200 less than I paid online two weeks prior. I had to purchase an additional set in store three days before the online set was delivered, THEN return online set to store to get an immediate refund amount applied back to my card. We didn't even want a cash refund, would have simply preferred a store credit for the $200 difference. Either way, Costco was out the delivery fee but they had an opportunity to be out the fee with a happy customer or out the delivery fee with an unhappy customer. Their policy for not honoring the store price opted them for the unhappy customer. I will NEVER order online through Costco again! We have been long-time customers and were put through an extreme inconvenience for poor customer service. VERY DISSATISFIED! read more

Passing by and stopped at this location. They didn't have the Kale salad I like. The Cashier and her helper were friendly. The woman at the exit, named Ha..not so much. Good all around Costco. Get the buck fifty hotdog: can't go wrong. Usually not to busy, and gotta love the prices. I gave 4 stars, because they got rid of the ice cream at the food court. Very Clean... Friendly Staff... not so many people compared to crazy packed Bay Area Costco. One time, I bought $70-$80 pork baby ribs, and it was not the right one... so I went and returned it with no question asked... and found out that they will dispose the returned meat... It was actually my fault to pick up the wrong kind and they gladly took the return without a problem. I know it's a policy but they had a different policy on raw meat and food... I purchased a set of four Michelin tires for my 2015 GMC Sierra truck at the Manteca Costco. The price with discounts was not comparable to all of the competitors by about $150.00. I am very happy with the price however the service in the Tire Center is another story. I had made an appointment in advance and was in the store for less than 10 minutes to make the purchase. I was told it would take an hour to complete the installation. I did some shopping and waited until the hour had passed and went to check on the status. All four of the tires were mounted and I was told that they were waiting for a supervisor to torque the lug nuts. Thirty minutes later I was told that they were still waiting for the supervisor. I went inside and asked for the manager which went and found the employee in the break room apparently. The most upsetting thing about all of this is that the young man working in the tire center told the manager that the truck had only been done for 15 minutes, basically calling me a liar with me standing there. I would HIGHLY recommend that if you go to this Costco to have tires installed that you make an appointment in advance and allow at least two hours for the work to be completed. NOT a GOOD experience at all! I will shop at the Costco in Modesto in the future even though I am a life long resident of Manteca! read more

I've never had any issues with this location. Staff has alway been friendly to me and helpful. I once left a dvd that I JUST purchased in my cart. I came back two days later when I realized it didn't make it home with me. It, unfortunately, wasn't turned back in but they still gave me a new copy without any question and sent me on my way. I still drive to other costcos nearby to do my shopping even though this one is closer to me. The staff here weren't always rude. It's something I've noticed that's happen over the last year or so. This Costco store is big, clean and well stocked!!! There were only three instances when I was very frustrated, but that is TWO of of hundreds of visits to this store, so the percentage is minimal. Both frustrations were with the Food Court, 1. I ordered a whole pizza over the telephone, when I got there they didn't have it!!! grrr.... 2. I ordered pizza at the register (slice), I was in the Pick up line and this particular day the line was very long, so this woman called us to the Pizza pick up window, and after calling me there she left! went on to sweep the floors, and talk to the people in the back making the pizzas, finally I yelled "excuuuuuuse meeee!" then someone else came to the window and I said "why did that woman call people to this window to then LEAVE and go do other stuff???!!! This lady promptly filled my ordered and I insisted in talking to the orginal woman that called me to the window. She apologizes said she did not realize she has someone at the window! Hellooooo! you called me! How can you NOT realize someone was at the window??? Duhhh! 3. I ordered a slice of pizza at the registered upon picking up my slice of pizza they did not have crushed pepper! =( I can't enjoy my pizza with out crushed pepper *sigh* How can they run out??? I tried to order 5 pizzas for our church kids gathering. I've done this before through Costco and, although, there has always been a bit of a hassle the product size and quality has made it worth it. Not today. I had to let the phone ring at least 15 times before someone answered. I could barely hear them as they said "hold on" and dropped the phone. After about a minute I noticed I was no longer connected. The problem that I've had in the past has always been with the pickup. The pizzas have never been ready when I've gotten there to pick them up. Not once. Even when I arrive 10 or 15 minutes after the pickup time I gave them when I ordered. I've been told that with orders for multiple pizzas they don't make them until you get there. I believe it. read more

This review goes to the optical department. I called, set up an appointment to get and eye exam and purchase glasses. When I went in for the appointment the lady said that they do not do appointments at the time mine was scheduled for. I explained to her that the lady on the phone had scheduled me for that time. And she said " I don't know who told you that but we don't do appointments after 12" she was very rude and didn't try to accommodate me at all. It was basically " oh well. compared to other costos i've been to, this one is one of the better ones. of coures it just opened 2 days ago, so everything is obviously new. whoa, if you like free samples, this is definitely your place. every 10 feet there's a demo lady giving out free cookies or odwalla or something of the sort. of course the food line for hotdogs and pizza is a total clusterf**k, but again, it's costco. plus points for self checkout. it's about time! self checkout! though minus points for self-checkout-ers that cannot read the freaking screen. read more

As Costcos go this one fine. My real gripe with the place is the "Members" and I use that term loosely. These humans are the bottom of the social barrel, they have no respect for themselves or anyone else and very little sense of etiquette. Compound this with the economy and you get a Costco markably different from that of the mid nineties and early naughties back then if you acted like a douche bag at Costco they'd cut your card up, give your membership money back and send your ass to shop at Food-4-less. Now I with the rise of the Super Wal-mart ( same prices but their departmental manager make way less than a regular Joe at Costco) and what comes out is a shopping experience eerily similar to shopping at Food-4-Less. I solved the problem by shopping at Save-mart more expensive true but enjoyable a Manteca style mouth-breather is the exception rather than the rule. read more

I love to shop at Costco. I've been a customer with Costco + Priceco since day 1. Manteca is so new. I like it. It's so organized and neat. I went there last Monday during lunch time. It wasn't crowded as the ones in Bay Area. The cashiers were great and the helpers were really helpful and fast too. I decided to get in line at the food court. I thought I would get something quick since there were not many people in line. Manteca Costco food court has many lines so you are kind of look for which line is shorter then you get in. So I chose the shorter line. As it was my turn, all the cashiers disappeared. One was cooking hotdog and the other one did something else. The signs said " OPEN" but no service when the customer was there. I looked around pizza, chicken bake, churros everything was available to serve. What else did they need to do? As I waited and waited at line 1, the number 2 cashier told me someone would be out soon. It sounds like her register 2 couldn't help me because I was in line 1. Give me a hint that it was none of her business so she didn't take my order. She kept cooking her hotdog as if no one was there. I could have left, but I wanted to see what would happen so I can yelp. In this case, Costco could have lost a potential customer and ruined its excellent customer service. Suggestions: Design a ONE line at the food court so customers can go to the next available cashier. This design to avoid confusion when line 1 is longer than line 2, then cutting in will happen. then it will cause someone upset. Not good for business (please see Tracy food court design) Please if the sign is "OPEN", please do so. If there are two cashiers, then one takes the order, the other one can cook the hotdog or whatsoever. If there's no food ready, then CLOSE all lines. That's how it works at most stores. read more

This facility has fuel. Clean appearance, no blowing trash in the lot (Manteca is windy) Handicap parking is right at the entrance Food court appears to be a little smaller than other stores but has the same offering as other stores. If there was a difference to note between this location and other locations such as Livermore or San Ramon, The Manteca location does not offer the BBQ ribs, the huge potpies, and some of the other prepared foods. We had tremendous service in the photo area of this Costco over the last couple of days. Particularly want to speak about Xochithl (sp?). She was so helpful as a time-sensitive and large run of stuff came out wrong, through no fault of hers, the file we sent was not correct. She was gracious and supportive and totally helpful making sure we got what we needed later in the day. When I asked her where I could leave feedback about her she was humble and gracious and said not to worry about it, that she loved her job and helping people. read more

Went in to get snacks or my grandkids yesterday morning 6/25/15. Things went smoothly until I reached the checkout. Although Im walking on a cane and in a full leg brace, was at handicap checkout stand, I guess I moved to slow for the 'boxer lady' Ms. Marie. She started tossing my items on the counter and as I stepped out her way she violently jerked my shopping cart with my 5 year old grandson sitting in the front. I thought he was gonna flip out the buggy. When I told her hey be careful my grandsons in that cart she ignored me I yelled hey you jerked that cart with my grandson and almost made him fall, her only reply was " I know". The Fed/Ex guy in line behind me was shocked. I was more than livid. My other 3 grandchildren were trying to hurry and get to there lil brother. My 5 year old just hung his head. I reported her to management and they said they will take care of it and it will never happen again. But Im just wondering why nobody said those two simple words that start you on the road to healing...I "I'm sorry" So neighbors and dear friends while I have never had a problem with Costco, I've been a member since they were the Price Club. I would like to warn you, watch your babies in the buggies....make sure they are strapped in, and please make sure no OVER WORKED employee takes out their stress on your babies. P.S. I wont go into the fact that Im a disabled senior citizen that just had knee surgery and decided to make Costco her first outing!!! Oh well, I will probably be back there today. Im addicted. Lol!! I always went out of my to come to the Manteca Costco instead of tracy location because of their "good" service however I think I may just close our household memberships. My husband and I normally grocery shop together and he is our cardholder. BUT today I was on my lunch break and decided to get a side of pizza. BAD IDEA. This is ridiculous! Costco Gas is supposed to close at 9:30 and at 9:00 almost all of the gas pumps are already closed! I go at night for the specific reason of a traffic free time with no wait time! Instead I have to wait more then 15minutes due to only two pumps being open. read more
