In my lifetime, I've shopped three Rite Aid locations in the country. One in Pennsylvania, another in Ohio, and this one. When I entered, I was greeted warmly. I went to them to ask if my Insurance card would be accepted for the payment, since their store was listed as accepting it. They knew right away what I meant and it was reassuring. FSA cards and such don't always work as easily as the companies say that they will. This one didn't even seem to be an FSA card but the insurance company was saying that I could buy gifts and food and more. In any case, I looked over the whole store, minus two or three aisles with make up and such. I scanned the Nature Made vitamins and those were accepted. I was surprised, as that brand is usually the best in stores, and the most expensive. As I went to the cash register, it was quiet. The cashier, who I've met in the past from the other side of the counter, was friendly and helpful. She mentioned that one of them seemed to be BOGO and I went back to get another. Signing up for the store rewards got me an instant $4.00 off. I got four bottles and one was free with the other deal. They accepted the insurance card and I still have over $20 available on that. read more

This is definitely where I want to get ice cream at. The price for the amount is all worth it! It gets busy when schools out. The guy was nice and patient. There was chips close by and he was able to ring it up with our ice cream order. My friend suggested an ice cream so I will be coming back soon when a craving for ice cream comes up. Parking is available and they are close to a Dollar Tree. Food is in the area as well. Perfect run for all things needed and a treat. read more

Israel had the worst customer service I've ever experienced here. I shop here a lot always come here for ice cream and he was so damn rude. At first tried to tell me they don't serve ice cream after 9:00... I was there standing in line 9:01... As I was trying to talk to him normally he goes " I DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR STORY I DONT NEED TO HEAR YOUR STORY" Rude AF. There is a manager lady here who profiled me from day one. She won't let me in if I have bag. She even demanded receipt for a prescription. I can't get a prescription from pharmacy without payment. Was told she came from Walmart. Regardless, she has kept me from buying anything here. read more

I have shopped here over 30 years. I have no idea what is happening but there is nothing on the shelves. It looks like they are going to out of business. The associates are nice. Not their fault. I went to CVS and it is well stocked. I want to spend money. I can't buy feminine hygiene things, medicine, hair spray, face cream etc at Rite Aid. The shelves are empty. read more

The lady in the pharmacy is very rude, she had me on hold for about 5 minutes which I complied. After waiting, I say my date of birth and she says, "Why are you whispering, I can't hear you" rather than "I'm sorry I can't hear you, could you speak a little louder". Once I got my date of birth and everything, she proceeded to sound further demeaning, and rude when i told her my case about my medication and difficulty. Since there was complication with my order with my doctor, she sounded annoyed and her attitude didn't help with anything. It left me with a bad impression and overall bad customer service. She even left me with "Yea, the doctors dont entertain us and looks like they need to get a call back...good luck". She needs to watch how she talks to customers, because I usually don't write reviews, but that was not acceptable, or something I've ever experienced. read more

This is the slowest and disorganized drug store. I speak mainly about the pharmacy. One has to wait in line to get a question answered, pick out the items needed, which may include other pharmacy items, and then being told you have to pay at different checkouts. While in line I saw at least two customers who were there to pick up prescriptions and were told they were not ready. Each of these customers originally were given a time to come back. Even then, the prescriptions were not ready. read more

My husband and I went here for our COVID vaccines and I was insulted and yelled at by the practicing physician when I asked a question in regards to the time frame of the second dose. She was extremely rude, got angry very quickly, and caused quite a scene. I apologized and left. I would NOT trust a physician to poke and prod me who cannot control her emotions to that extent, especially in a public and professional environment. My dad prescriptions were sent in the morning and we came at 6pm to pick them off and they are not ready. I was promised that they will be ready in half an hour and I waited there. Then they told me another hour since nobody filling the prescription when they have 2 pharmacist and 2-3 technicians. Both the pharmacist and the Technician were so mean. They not even sorry for wasting my time at all. They probaly dont need any customer to fill the prescription at their pharmacy. WORST PHARMACY THAT I HAVE EVER USED. read more

Went to pick up my 93 year-old mother-in-law's medication on Sunday, 11/7 at 4:18 p.m. Pharmacist abruptly said that she would need to brief HER--not me. Mind you, my mother-in-law has dementia. Pharmacist also asked me which--of the nine medications she takes--was this for? She obviously knew but mockingly said "I should know as I went to the doctor with her." I've never been treated more rudely in my life. Address the issue Rite Aid! I submitted an online form but YOU need to take care of the issue else you'll lose all of your Rx clients. This place is the WORST. Asked for assistance from a cashier who was on his cell phone. All he could do was point me in the general direction. Had to go through this routine several times with him. Finally I just gave up. Since I was looking for an over the counter medication I thought I could get some help from the pharmacy. But I was mistaken. The girl I asked just seemed annoyed and pointed me down the aisle that she thought it was on. The pharmacist on duty who was a younger woman who looked our way (obviously hearing the conversation) but offered no help at all. Will not be returning. read more

Been coming to this Rite-Aid since I was a kid. Eating at Thriftys is kind of like a Mantecan tradition for me lol. The tasty flavor hasn't changed but I wish I could say the same about the prices lol. The same people have been working here for ages, the service is always slow paced but I have to say that I have a soft spot for this place because of all the Nostalgia it brings! -They also had a huge remodeling done! I don't use Rite Aid very often so I can't really say I know the ends and outs of this place. This review is only for the pharmacy. I started seeing a new doctor in this area and I remember using Rite Aid a long time ago for RX services and had no issues so I decided to bring this new RX over to them because I was in search of a new place to conduct my business. I wanted t test this pharmacy out with this one RX before I made the complete switch from one pharmacy to another with everything because I have to deal with the pharmacy often and I don't like to jump the gun when thinking about changing. I had a 3 months supply of this particular medication and I wanted to wait until I went through all the refills before I reviewed this place because then I would have an accurate assessment. The pharmacists and the pharmacy techs that I dealt with were very nice everytime I went in. That was never an issue. I never had to wait very long when I went in to pick up my RX. When I called in to have it refilled they always said they could have it ready within the hour which is good and they were always true to their word. They were never really busy with a line of people when I went in. So that was the good part. Their hours are a little better than typical pharmacy hours here in Manteca. They open a little earlier and close a little later than most pharmacies do during the week which is good. Their hours are: M-F 8am-10pm Sat- 9am-6pm Sun- 10am-6pm Now for the bad, their website where you can keep track of your prescriptions is not at all convenient. Most pharmacies when you sign up online you just need your basic info. like your email, your address, your phone number, etc. This place wants at least one RX number which is annoying to scrounge up if you don't keep your pills in the bottles all the time. Whatever happened to just basic info? No I know that this may seem trivial to some and I completely understand that but to me it is annoying and pointless especially for those who handle their prescriptions differently. I keep my pills in a case with the days of the week on it and mine lasts the whole month. Once you are able to sign up online it is not that user friendly in my opinion. Everything is set up in a way that is not very effective. The other bad is there is no smart phone app. Again that issue is all a matter of opinion and for someone like me who uses their smartphone religiously that is very annoying. Walgreens has an app and it is wonderful and their website is more user friendly. For someone like me who does most of their pharmacy correspondence online or via smartphone this is important for me. This applies more to when I would have to transfer things over. I use my smartphone to check the status of prescriptions and I am not fan of and cannot always call the pharmacy over and over. It is annoying to do that and I am just not that type. Their website not being user friendly does not help with this either. I use my smartphone for pharmacy correspondence weekly being for my husband, myself or my mother. The smartphone app is also a godsend when it comes to privacy and checking for an RX. In summation despite the pros for me personally the cons outweigh them and I will not use this pharmacy again. I think I have learned a lesson here and despite some of the crap customer service I get at Walgreens their convenience (smartphone app, 24 hours, drive thru, and user friendly website) far outweighs that. It was worth a shot and I ended up learning a lesson in the end. This pharmacy is good for someone who does not rely on internet or smartphone. If you do things the old fashioned way then this place would be great for you. I'll give them 3 stars because I don't think they are good or bad. read more

Remodeled Rite Aid and I'm pretty impressed. Very up to date, bright, clean and organized. I haven't been here for about a year. Usually I only go in for the Thrifty's ice cream for an after school treat with my daughter. They also have a GNC area, which is nice considering the actual GNC store here in Manteca has really bad reviews- cashiers opening later than posted and breathing/staring down at you. I was skeptical at first, thinking it was just a couple of shelves of the super popular items sold at GNC. Surprisingly they have a whole section marketed and dedicated to products you can find at GNC. (This was the whole reason for my visit today, looking for a GNC product.) Cashier was nice, knew when to call for back up since I had to "re-sign up" for a plenti card so the lady behind wouldn't have to wait. Quick in and out. read more

This place is horrible an employee spies on people in the bathroom I caught him listening to me in the bathroom. And when I asked to speak to his boss he says ok I'll get him, after waiting a few minutes and going out to my truck to get my phone he says "I'm the one in charge". I repeat it "no I want to speak to your boss" then he tells me that he won't be in until 6 in the morning. I ask for his and his bosses name he says "I forgot" and the pushes name when I ask why he was listening to me in the bathroom. He keeps pushing until I leave and threaten to call the cops. Which astoundingly doesn't keep him from pushing me out the door and says I'm not scared of you and takes a stance as if about to fight me and bumps his chest into me. with this kind of customer service and perverted behavior I don't think I'll be shopping at rite aid again anytime soon at least not this one.. Oh just found out his name is Angel. Didn't give me a number or anything to get a hold of anyone. I work graveyard so I will back to talk to your boss in the morning. Had to fill an Rx here today (my pharmacy is closed weekends) and I remembered why I started going to another pharmacy - the service is incredibly slow, there's no courtesy or warmth, or anything approaching friendliness. After waiting 15 min for my antibiotic to be filled, I went up to the counter. The clerk was having a personal conversation with someone and continued it for a good 5 min more. Finally I said, excuse me, is mine ready yet? Of course it was, sitting right there the whole time. Talking to her friend was way more important than my strep throat. NEVER AGAIN read more

The customer service here is so incredibly slow! I had to wait in line 15 minutes and wait for the cashier do a return for the customer in front of me. She would not shut up about the make up she likes and the new this and that... 30 second return turned into 15 minutes of jabbering about the new Wet & Wild color! What can I say though, its close to the house. read more
