BRIAN AND ALAN... are both very knowledgeable and very helpful Opticians in the Sequim Costco. I could not ask for better service! There was a situation with two pairs of glasses I purchased. I will say - I was NOT pleased with the lack of enthusiasm and professionalism of some employee (Optometrist) - and the poor OUTCOME of my EYE EXAM thru their independent business - totally separate from Costco! I gave my new glasses ( I loved the frames...the new lens's was the problem - a try for three weeks...NOT HAPPY!) I explained the situation to Alan! I will say Alan deserves a huge thank you for patiently listening to my complaint re: my EYE EXAM and lens's. He told me what options were available and we decided on what seemed the best choice. Very pleased! I really appreciated it! Brian and Alan both have been wonderful when I have had the pleasure of working with them choosing frames and the preparation needed to complete the order! I am old enough to remember when Costco hired nobody but friendly and helpful people; the self serve counter today disproved that long-standing theory. I'm sorry there was not immediate compliance but when you mumble in point you can't expect people to understand what you're trying to say. If your goal was trying to repel business from that particular location, you're working at break neck pace. I'm giving this experience a two because the man at the cash register was extremely friendly and helpful as I expect and has always been my experience for the last 25 years with Costco. We love our local Costco in Sequim! We can count on Costco for great products, food, tires, clothing, paper products etc. Staff great! love the dog and soda a few times a year. Nix on pizza as crust way too thick in food court. Nice latte freeze and sorry the smoothie is gone. Warehouse always clean! Only dislike are AT&T contract sales ppl in electronics! Terrible, terrible experience! Joined Costco six months ago with a view to making all or most future appliance purchases there. Ordered a dishwasher with request for haul-away and understanding that delivery would include installation. Found out only on delivery that installation was in fact NOT included. Turns out, it is explained deep in the small print of one Costco email that this is dictated by Washington state law. A responsible company would have made this clear from the outset and in the clearest possible terms. In any case, I refused delivery and will now return to my old supplier, the also far less than perfect Home Depot. read more

They screwed us, we bought a washing machine last week and it started leaking right away. So we took it can to exchange for a new on but no they don't do exchanges only returns. So we had to wait five days for the money to be back in our account. Now that the money is in the account and we are able to purchase a new one they are sold out. They have these nice shopping bags and it's a promo to sign up for executive. We just renewed our executive and cashier said the promotion is not for existing executive customers. We were looking all over for printer cartridges for a printer we purchased there. We hunted an employee in another department and she looked up info and only to tells we now have to shop on line to purchase from Costco. We went on-line not available. So we decided let's go to e-bay and they were $20.00 cheaper. And I am a sewist and created my own shopping bag and same size and I saved money. An a senior bagger (appeared to be from corporate was rushing the cashier to move faster and this cashier is one of your best. Then he placed my blouse to be purchased in my my shopping cart and in a mean voice said Don't touch it, Leave it there with mean eyes. We were almost knocked by some of your young boys returning grocery cart and the cashier laughing like it is a big joke. The chicken special Costco made better. We love the Gluten free Sprouted rolled oats 5* When we research stores available and no membership we are comparing and looking forward to moving on. And no matter if you are on eastside of WA state or the Peninsula, WA. It seems to be your Corporate values have changed. Our families worked for Costco Corporate when it was in the beginning creating Costco. love costco, hate the new self serve. i had 7 items, 2 to 3 deep with "checkers" , no line with new self check machines- ok, i'll try. Big mistake. it took me longer because i had to "rescan" several items, even though the aural cues indicated they scanned. guess i'm just too fast for the gigahertz processors they are using. Amazing. Definitely not worth the frustration. i'll stand in the long lines with a human checker that move faster than self serve. And I'm an engineer who loves tech - sad ! read more

The customer service is always helpful and friendly, from online pickup to the meat department. The only issue I've ever had was with a person handing out samples. She told me I had beautiful hair. When I thanked her, she said, "Enjoy it while it lasts, before it all falls out." Needless to say, I was taken aback for a moment before I reminded myself that I didn't need that kind of crap swirling in my brain. That was her karma, not mine. read more

We do not use Costco any longer. We bought fish (salmon) from Costco that when we opened the package at home and tried to use it it caused our house to stink for several days. Another time while waiting to meet my wife at the entrance I saw she was outside already, I tried to exit the entrance door and was threatened with arrest because the employees said I had to walk the length of the store and exit through where the exit was. When I tried to explain that I had purchased nothing and was just waiting for my wife who was standing just outside the employee called several more employees to confront me. I walked through the door anyway with employees threatening me all the way. We shopped Costco in Sequim for over twenty years. The employee could have just asked for my Costco card and allowed me to leave. Now we find out that Costco like many other companies support 'Woke' ideology. Good bye for good Costco. read more

I'm only writing Pharmacy department in Sequim Washington. I am opt in for prescriptions pick up notification to text message, and it did work for a while, plus it's very convenient for me. But then suddenly it did stop working, so I brought issue to lady who works there, she said she will turn off and resign again in order to work again, but even after that it still does not work. So, finally talked to lady who work at check out at pharmacy, she immediately said with out even look at me and concern what I said to her " in quote " it's corporate issue we have no control over it in here. So disappointed her acts, there are so many pharmacy surrounding that I can choose from. read more

Kirkland shortbread cookies are in!!! Get them before they get swapped up. One year some guy was going around and buying all of them. 19.99 for3 pounds of the best shortbread cookies. I like to dip them in dark chocolate with toasted nuts. They make a wonderful hostess gift. They sell out fast and just melt in your mouth they are buttery and sprinkled with a bit of sugar. read more

We moved from Tigard, Oregon, to Sequim in summer of 2017. When we walked into the Costco here we were stunned! We actually were able to walk in every aisle and find everything we wanted. We were stunned because going to Tigard Costco was stressful and packed with people, along with the lines. Every employee we have talked with has been so helpful and always smiling! This is seriously one of the best Costco's I've ever been to. There was sooooo much parking, at my local Costco I usually end up having to circle around the lot until a space opens up. The store itself is huge and has a great selection of merchandise. I was able to find a housewarming gift within a few minutes, browsed through their clothing since they have different items than the stores in SoCal and went to make my purchases. Best part? No lines!!! The staff were friendly, the store was clean and it was practically empty. I wish we had a Costco like this down where I live. Filled up at the gas station before leaving and there were no lines there either. I would definitely return to this location again. read more

This month I took my elderly mom to Costco Optical for an eye exam with Emerald Eye Care, then she selected/ was fitted for frames. The optometrist and assistant at Emerald Eye Care were SO friendly, polite, informative, and on time. Opticians Tim and Spencer were infinitely patient, caring, good humored, and gentle with my mom. We started out at Walmart Vision Center to have a screw replaced in a pair of prescription sunglasses. When my wife went to the counter she was told by the associate to come back in a half hour that she was leaving and couldn't help her. We left and went down the road to Costco. Costco's representative took on the task, was professional and explained why the screw had come out. We left with a repaired pair of sunglasses and another reason for our loyalty to the Costco brand. I like Costco but I really REALLY don't like how pushy they are to get an executive membership. How many times do I have to say no? One of the last times I was there, in a hurry with a small baby, a bald man named John was very aggressive. I said I wasn't interested a half dozen times but he kept asking. Brought my mother in the Sequim Costco for some shopping. There weren't and electric chairs available, but I found her a seat at one of the display patio tables as I finished my shopping. Everything was very smooth, it was east to find all the items I was looking for. Had to wait about 10 minutes for 2 baked chickens, and that's fine. Costco has the best baked chickens in town. Well worth the wait. Plus, the young lady that was setting up the chickens, was an absolute delight to deal with. Very professional and helpful. I have been with Costco since 1967 when I worked for Fed Mart, then Price Club with Sol Price and now as a customer with Costco. I haven't always agreed with everything that Costco has done, but I could see why they did it. The service, on the whole, has been excellent. The products, on the whole, have been of good quality and their generous replacement/refund policies have taken care of the products that did not work out so well for me. Little things like an offer to help me do my shopping (I am in a wheel chair), having good food at the food court, their product sampling policy, and a "I can help you get what you need" attitude from the employees. My chief complaint has to do with the "you are nothing but a number" attitude by Citibank. I don't like to feel like I am jumping through hoops like I have with Citibank and that gripes me; but it is only marginally connected with Costco. Miss the old Costco, with the hot dog stand outside. They changed their hot dogs though. I hadn't had a Costco hotdog in years and I still noticed a difference. They are bland with a different texture. Apparently they are no longer Hebrew national. Instead there Kirkland brand. This is another average costco. I actually prefer this Costco to the ones in the Seattle area because it is not as busy. So pretty much, if you're looking for customer service a Costco warehouse is not the place to be but everybody who's ever needed help finding something in a Costco would already know this. Food service is quick and the lines go pretty fast as well. The self check outs are a bit of pain, they have limited forms of payment. Some of the workers don't seem to be the friendliest but then again last couple times I was there was right around holidays and they were probably exhausted. read more

Where do we begin? Friendliest, most helpful employees; they truly care about their customers. Everyone from the gas station attendant (lady who is there in the afternoons), to the food court workers, cashiers, floor helpers and door receipt checker are top notch. We've probably shopped at around over twenty Costco locations, and this stands out. They go the extra mile, with a SMILE! The only request is please carry salads in container for one in the two pack. The other Costcos have these. Oh, BONUS - love the coffee machine next to the food court - $1.25 for a latte? SCORE! And they still have the berry sundae, which other locations no longer have. read more

I have had friends who do not have a costco card who can go in for the food court, yet when i try to enter to go to just the food court, i get denied and looked at by your employees like i am an idiot and a theif. THANKS for making me starve when i only have 2 dollars!!! Not to mention the people are rude about it. I have, two years ago, walked in for the food court with my family. Guess what? We do all of our major shopping at Costco in Sequim. The customer service is great in all the departments. The prices are so much better than most of the grocery stores for produce and meats. They have the best whipping cream, milk and other dairy products. We have purchased everything from a dyson vacuum to powdered greens/protein powder and everything in between. They work so hard to get you through the checkout as fast as possible not matter what you are purchasing. We purchased a laptop there as well and since the floor model was the last one in stock they sold it to us and at a discount! Its such a great place to get perishable and non-perishable products to last you the month and their little snack shop has the best chicken rolls and pizza for a song. It's well worth the membership fee and we saved the cost of it in the first month alone. read more

When you think of Costco, you think quality and value. The Sequim location is definitely a good representation of this. Their store is clean and well kept. The associates are friendly. The food court is on par. Bathrooms clean and well lit. My only complaint is that we got some bad fish from there recently. read more

Who doesn't love Costco right? My review is based on how an issue I had was handled. I had a problem with a return of a battery core and the customer service/auto dept. associate was giving me kind of hard time. He didn't ask for help and I left angry. However, the GM Jim Reynolds came to rescue! He fixed our situation and talked with the associates involved and gave them training on what to do in that situation. He took time to talk with me over the phone on multiple occasions and was honest, calm and respectful. Great job Jim, we will happily keep shopping at the Sequim Costco. read more

Been shopping weekly at Costco since they came to Sequim and have always found their fresh fruit and and vegetables very good, This summer I bought three watermelons that were inedible and half the avacados I bought were rotten inside. Also some of their frozen blueberries were tasteless. There food quality seems to be going down and with them no longer selling polish hotdogs its no longer my favorite place to shop. read more

I should have read the dismal reviews of wireless advocates for the Seattle yelp location before I decided to do business with them. If you are on the hunt for a new cell phone, I can tell you where to avoid. I found what appeared to be a great deal on the phone I wanted at the wireless advocates booth inside of the Costco in Sequim WA. Now I'm left frustrated and wishing I had never dealt with them. 1. There were rebates which I don't like in the first place. I mailed them in immediately with all of the required information and my rebate was denied saying I didn't include the barcode from the packaging of my phone. Funny... As I look at the phone box now and that part has been cut off and mailed to them just like their directions said to do. 2. The associate working there added a warranty to my device without asking me and told me that I could just cancel it later if I didn't want it. Good grief. Is this really what customer service is becoming? The bottom line is, they are going to fix their mistake or the BBB is going to be the next number I call where I file a formal complaint. read more

Saturday, 8-11-18, at 1 p.m., I left the Sequim, WA Costco with a full basket. It was raining. Wandering through several sections, I could not find my car! I talked with an employee pushing carts. He helped me look but then returned to work. I continued roaming back and forth where I was so sure it was. Rained harder. Could not get the panic button on my keys to work. He returned with another employee. They looked wider and deeper. She held the panic button up high and somewhere a car beeped! I was far afield of where I thought I parked. I promised them if I ever won the lottery, they were first on my list. They must have thought I was as stupid as I felt with me soaked, my groceries soaked, but all of us laughed. I left with a happy heart, thanks to those two. I hope you find and thank them for being so kind. read more
