The armory is a larger building with restaurants, restrooms, and tourist information for people visiting Seattle. I've eaten at subway here. Subway sandwiches is well, an ok sandwich. There are other restaurants but I haven't tried them. Super expensive choices. I usually come in to use the restroom honestly. Super clean and warm. Anyone I have encountered has been friendly and nice. Loads of tables to sit and enjoy your food. I think there is a good fried fish spot. Maybe I'll try it next time I'm here. It's right next to the Space Needle and after several hours of enjoying the view from the Space Needle, you have to unwind and grab some food at this place. What a great food hall and event experience center! I came to visit to attend the Frenchly Best Croissant & Baguette Compétition. It was in the Armory Loft. Enjoyed the sampling of bread and croissants (both classic au beurre and pain au chocolat and specialty croissants too! My goodness, Seattle has some talented pastry a chefs. Their shop or bakery needs to be on everyones's radar! I wish I could eat more but just a few bites for each bakery's samples was enough to get an idea of who I liked. I enjoyed the L'Experience Bakery for their baguette and the Petit Pierre Bakery for their butter croissant! the PPB also did an amazing chocolate pain suisse with coconut cream (wowed!). The food hall also had French mon-profits in language programs for kids and adults' gift items and displays of art (paintings). This event space was perfect - out of the rain & spacious enough. Cool spot! The inside looks nothing like the outside. The outside is like a standard building and the inside looks much more lively. They have a lot of different types of food which is cool. And if I was by myself, I'd walk around and find something. They had a Mod Pizza and we have one at home, so I wasn't interested. I didn't get to peruse because the grands were chomping to go outside to play, but I hadn't had any coffee so I went in. But the cursory glance didn't really impress me if I were to be honest. They may have a gem in there, but I didn't see it. It may reveal itself upon a second look. I did go to Starbucks and waited longer than I ever have for a coffee drink. This place is a good idea... however.... there is a large difference between the posted hours of operation and the actual open time. We came this morning at 9am to try to get coffee from Ceres (online said they open before 8) and they said they were opening at 9. Came back for dinner because the website said they were open till 9 PM. We came at 6 o'clock and some businesses were already closed and others were closing. The seller at the meat pie restaurant said their hours change daily based on volume. This is a spacious dining area and there weren't too many people here. My chicken meat pie with rosemary cream sauce was very good. Others in my party got the fish and chips from Matt's (overpriced and just ok) and MOD pizza which was a safe bet. I went here on a Wednesday earlier this month (September) for lunch around 1pm. This food court has a lot of popular chain restaurants and has a good variety of foods to choose from. They have restaurants like MOD Pizza, Wing Dome, Starbucks, Subway, and many more! Hehe I was having trouble deciding what to eat here because they all sounded so good to me at that moment! The main reason I went here was because I was in the area and wanted to eat something before going up Space Needle. The food I got was chicken wings, waffle fries, and a slushy and it tasted good enough and filled me up. I was so happy this food court had drinks that came with lids and straws here unlike a different food court I went to in Seattle recently since I like walking around with my drinks. I also like how this place was clean and the restrooms here weren't that bad either. I'd recommend this place! There's a good variety of foods to choose from, places to sit, and the food tasted good. At this Seattle Armory place, they also have restrooms in case you need it. I just wish this place would stay open later. I never realized that around the Space Needle were a bunch of museums and food courts. I mean, they only show the Needle on TV. So when I realized it was a larger area, I immediately checked out the "Seattle Center Armory." It was a large food court, packed with Starbucks, burgers, and pizza spots. The main hall was large and full of seating, capable of seating hundreds. They have a lower level for children to play around to make the most out of your visit. Discovered the Armory on my last trip to Seattle. I had no idea this place was here! It's a large food court that is located near the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum. There's a variety of food outlets available like tacos, burgers, seafood, chinese, and your usual suspects like Starbucks and Subway. They even have a boba shop. There's something for everyone and there's a lot of seating available inside. It looked like they were preparing for a show or festival while I was there so I can imagine they have a regular schedule of entertainment that happens in the Armory. Had I known this was here earlier, I would've stopped by for food here versus the vendors outside of the Space Needle. It's convenient and right next to the monorail. read more

The Seattle Center Armory is basically the food court for the Seattle Center. There are plenty of restaurant options to utilize here. Not sure if all the restaurants here are chains of various sizes or if some are just unique to the armory. But you will recognize places like Subway and of course Starbucks which meets both the large chain operations and something local. I don't often get meals here at the Seattle Center because usually it is very crowded and overstimulating but I do often stop by to use the restrooms when out and about here and if you know how hard it is in Seattle and Washington State for finding a public restroom compared to other states and without having to buy something to use a restroom you will cherish those restrooms like gold like everyone else does. Personally when it comes to getting meals and doing an outing at the Seattle Center I prefer to just go to the nearby Belltown, Queen Anne or Downtown neighborhoods as it isn't so overwhelming usually and may reduce wait times before dining but it all depends where you go and what other activities are happening in those neighborhoods. read more
