I have never been to this one. We came down to Stockton to check it out. The furthest one we have been to is the Lodi one. The parking lot was really packed and the gas pumps were close to the main entrance so made the traffic worst when parking or trying to find a spot close to the entrance. The setup on this Costco was kind of weird. It had produce in isles with other products. There was a lot construction going on in the fridge/ freezer area so maybe that's why' It seemed very confusing and unorganized. They did have other items like all of the stores do. A lot of Hispanic products here and more produce selling here. I found some stuff not at our location which is why I always go to different locations to get more things to buy. This store seemed pretty big in size and a lot of products. Not a bad one to shop at. read more

New Chicken Tenders review Those tenders are huge! Did not expect them to be that big. I thought they were going to be skinny flat chicken tenders lol. I also didn't know that it came with a sauce already so I purchased an extra salt on the side. The sauce was pretty good. It was almost like a barbecue and honey mustard mix. 9/10 Had leftovers so I will be air frying and chopping them up later to toss in a salad! First, I'm trying the chipotle seasoned chicken. I've shopped at Costco around the country and this is easily the worst run, and, unfortunately, my local location. Problems start with the parking lot, which is chaotic. More troublesome is that it routinely runs out of products. For example, yesterday it lacked both tri-tip and the square "Costco bread," which were major reasons I made the trip. This was not an anomaly. And while solved now, for at least six month the rotisserie chicken oven was out-of-order resulting the chicken, a well know draw to Costco, not being available. I can't imagine any other Costco store allowing this deficiency to persist for so long. The location's clientele has a substantial immigrant population, so I wonder if Costco's low standards at this location is linked at all to not being particularly concerned about these customers? Regardless of the cause, it's a poorly run store, which is unusual for Costco. read more

Membership based store -- check in/out at the doors. They typically have you scan your membership card when entering and they will check off your receipt when leaving. I enjoy shopping at Costcos because of their amazing deals and quality selections. Definitely spending more than $200 every trip but always worth it. The bulk selections are great for parties/events and much more. I have not used their return policy just yet but ordering couches soon so to be determined. I have had great luck at the Stockton Costco. I know many who won't come to this hometown location . It's worth it to me to not drive the extra 10 min North of town if I don't need to. The gas line moves rather quickly. So many don't want to use the fuel pump on the opposite side of their gas tank... but you're wasting time by not taking advantage of the option to use any side. Parking may not be as smooth as some other place but I usually find one in under ten minutes for sure. So far folks have been friendly as well. Also, the optometrist here hooked me up. Loved shopping here, but today it was such a huge issue when I used my Samsung wallet for my membership. At the door there was no issue since the lady saw my picture on there. Never shopping at this location ever again, was in the area and had to stop by Costco just only for essentials stuff (water, and laundry detergent). I've been an executive member for several years already, so my boyfriend tried to pay for our items at the cash register, and apparently he had to have his own membership to pay for our items. I've never had any issues about my boyfriend paying for the groceries at any other locations. Please AVOID THIS LOCATION!!!! Two customer service people by the names of Hilda and Deania are the WORST! They harassed me and told me that they couldn't return my camera that was unopened and sealed. Hilda then laughed and stated, " you're up I don't want to deal with her" to the bald manager and stated that she couldn't do the return. I told the bald manager that I need my return done fast. He then looked absolutely clueless and then showed Hilda how to do the return. I was harassed by them making rude comments about me. Came here to update that I have lost all faith in this locations tire center. The mechanics give different conflicting information and just have no customer service skills. The manager Jason is extremely cold but also not friendly at all. I was told by two previous mechanics one was jasson and another I didn't notate the name but told me to get an alignment before purchasing new tires, to which I did. Then today the manager tells me I need an alignment after. So it just seems they all don't know what they're talking about and aren't on the same page. Also forget having any pleasant experience with the mechanics because everyone there seems like they hate their job. read more

Always a perfect place to fuel up. This site is filled with pumps that actually move so wait times are short. The entrance to the pumps is okay but the lane which leads to the exit is a car accident waiting to happen. A clear exit path is needed for efficiency and speed. Customers shopping don't need to wait to fit the constant line of fuel fillers to exit. Perhaps a redesign?! read more

4/12/2022 - My grandchildren wanted an afternoon snack and asked if we could go to Costco. I asked them what they were going to get, and they knew what they wanted!!! My granddaughter got a hot dog, a drink and a vanilla ice cream, my grandson got a hot dog, a drink and a chocolate sundae. They both got churros also. Carts are randomly all over the parking lot, even in actual parking spaces. Need better process of retrieving carts. Food court is the most inefficient. You have two line for kiosk and " prepaid" pickup but one of those lines is manned by the same person taking orders at the window. Why in the he'll did u spend money on kiosks no one is using them and pickups are slow due to the order taking window. Should've spent money on a wind wall or even permanent wall for people eating their food outdoors. Grt rid of the order taker, focus on order filling and use the damn kiosk. This was my first visit to Costco in years and my experience could not have gone any more smoothly than it did. I had a 10 am appointment to get my tires replaced. We were the first appointment so I was helped immediately by a very friendly guy named Miguel who got my paperwork together quickly and told to us come back in about 45 minutes. I decided to go and get my card while we were waiting and the woman who helped me was also very friendly. That process was smooth and took less than 10 minutes. Then we walked around to kill time and check things out and while it was very early in the day, I was struck by how clean the store was. I hadn't been here in a really long time so I had no idea what to expect. Unfortunately, Stockton stores are not always as well kept as smaller towns but this store was clean and very well stocked! I walked up and down every aisle just to check things out and get an idea of what kinds of things they carry for my next shopping trip. That took about 30 minutes and when we went outside, my car was done and waiting for me! Great overall first impression so I'm really looking forward to my next visit to do some real shopping! read more

By far the worst Costco. I've been shopping at Costco for decades now. This Costco is always overcrowded, constantly running out of items, and the butcher shop is below par compared to others. I usually wouldn't even bother but I've spent A LOT of money at Costco and my service was exceptionally poor today. I was in line and was cut off by an older man and his wife...fine. Then while waiting in line the cashier and the couple start speaking their native tongue. That man takes off while the grocery bagger takes off too supposedly looking for some bogus code when the bar code is clearly visible. The old man comes back with a case of BUD light. Fine you want to make me wait while the whole store is clearly packed so I said something the old man was clearly defensive. Did the cashier interject since she helped create the problem, NO. She was the cashier farthest away from the self check out. I clearly see why all my friends drive to Lodi or the Tracy Costco for a better shopping experience. read more

This Costco is shocking on how dishonest they are. I live in Davis and do not shop here however someone was able to use my membership 4 times at this location including stealing my 2% reward check. This occurred in March. When I saw this in April on my account I reported it immediately to both the location near my home and this Stockton location. Woodland tried to be helpful however they got nowhere with the staff at the Stockton location. I contacted them multiple times and they refused to be helpful. Just blamed me for my check being stolen in the mail. However NEVER once accepted any responsibility for the fact that their store allowed someone to use my membership 4 times that wasn't me. They scan cards at the door but don't care that the picture didn't match me. They took a membership check at the till but didn't check ID or notice it didn't match my membership photo. So after speaking to 3 different people at this location, speaking to supervisors in Woodland and Stockton, going in person to address this at the Woodland location, speaking to corporate and being told by Stockton that they would fix this and investigate it if I filed a police report I have still received nothing. I filed both a police report with Davis PD and the US postal service. The police officer contacted the Stockton store and spoke with DEBBIE who was rude and condescending and refused to be of any help. She even refused to help the police at all or even give her last name to the officer. LIKE SERIOUSLY WHAT AM I DEALING WITH?? IS THIS BECAUSE THIS IS AN INSIDE JOB? Who behaves this way when their member has been a victim of theft and fraud?!?!?! I have been a member since 1999 and am shocked at the treatment I have received. I have been a loyal customer and just can't believe the lack of ethics, customer service, community support with working with the police, and failure to accept any responsibility for their mistake. This is one of the only Costcos in San Joaquin County. Being the Costco addict that I am I have no issues coming here. Seems to be a very welcoming place for both locals and tourists alike. Not sure why some people are upset but just because I am not from here doesn't mean it should be bad. I seem to find all the dry foods I need to bring home after visiting connections from Stockton and there is not trouble finding it. The food court here has plenty of places to eat for those who are opting to get pizza and or hot dogs. When I was getting samples here, the people the serve them were very nice to me. They were very happy to see visitors from Cali here because after all Costco is all over. No long lines at this location for checkout and the food court. Do you know how mind blowing that is? Lines here heading to the gas are so ill-planned. Separate the gas lines from where folks park their cars because people needing to move there cars have to wait for the crawling gas lines to move before they can reverse.
