I had to write this review regarding the service they provide. I recently purchased a soft serve machine and needed soft serve mix for it because I had family over and they were dying for some soft serve ice cream. I first called a new restaurant supply store in town and they said they had the brand I was looking for - Frostline. But the woman who answered seemed to be bothered when I asked her to check. I went there and they did not have that brand. They had a different brand that I tried before that is terrible. I left and called Smart & Final, and once again, the woman who answered the phone seemed mad that I asked her to check. I don't think she actually checked because she put me on hold but came back way too soon to have walked the aisles. My next call was to US foods chef store, the assistant manager Melissa answer the phone and she was very nice and helpful and put me on hold so that she can go down the aisle to confirm that they had Frostline in stock. I show up and meet her, and she personally escorting me down the aisle to point out where it was. But she went above and beyond and explained that they also had a ready to pour mix. Frostline is a powder that you have to prepare with water. This other mix is in a carton like milk and you pour it right into the machine. Melissa was super friendly and helpful and I'll be sure to do all my shopping there! Thanks Melissa, the family was so happy with the ice cream. read more

Cool store if you need bulk food/food prep items. Kind of like a Smart & Final. I was looking for a large quantity of red wine vinegar that is used in my favorite salad dressing and they carry it. I got a gallon jug for less than $7 which will last a long time. Most of the other items are probably too much for a 3 person household but I could definitely see myself coming in around the holidays to buy bigger quantities of baking supplies. read more

I wish there were a little bit more variety when it comes to the nut milks but they had an insane number of syrups so it made up for it. would definitely recommend for the daily cook, but comparing it to costco, it would be around the same price if not more. read more

I wonder if they sell knives for butchers here and not just food. I usually buy my knives online but hate that I have to wait for it in the mail. It would be nice to know that I can just go buy it from here if they carry it instead of waiting for it in the mail. Let me know if they carry good quality butcher knives. read more

Formerly named Cash & Carry. Many small businesses shop here because of the volume discounts and no need for a membership card. Most items here aren't good value. We usually come here just for bananas because everything else is overpriced. read more

I was in Cash and Carry two days back to get supplies for our business. One of the normal products we buy there was not is stock in the normal brand we buy, So Bill (The store Manager) showed me another brand that he felt would fulfill our need until our regular brand was back in stock. Not only was he a great help, he lowered the price to match what we normally pay which helped us stay with in our stringent budget. Going above and beyond seems to be a common practice with these guys and I love that. We appreciate all the concern and great customer service we get here and will be there again soon. read more

Wholesale only... but open to the public?!? I guess if you have a resale license then you just don't have to pay the sales tax. Wow, you thought that Costco had huge packages of food and merchandise?? This place had gigantic bags and boxes...but lots of items are sold individually also. It is set up more for restaurants and businesses but would also be good for churches and clubs... They are located on Pacific Avenue in the old Smart & Final building. Check 'em out! read more

THEY'RE STILL OPEN!!! The sign on the door says Businesses and Wholesale only but they sell to the general public as well. We went in because we moved nearby recently and have seen the sign outside their store a number of times. They are tucked away so that you could really miss them if you weren't deliberately looking for them. Just to tell you how happy I am with their prices I am (as I write) enjoying my coffee with Torani classic Caramel syrup (big bottle for $3.89). I'm making filet of sole with roasted red peppers (4 lbs for $3.74) for dinner tomorrow night. Tueday will bring an aromatic plate of Pollo Guisado for my fiance using the can of Crushed Tomatoes from Cash & Carry. Some tips for shopping there: If you have a jumbo freezer and/or a big family, you'll like this place They're open EARLY, M-Sa 6am-6pm, Su 8am-5pm. wear a jacket (the produce and meats are located in the frozen tundra) bring STRONG tote bags - otherwise you'll carry your purchases out in a cardboard crate you'll wheel your purchases around on a mini-flatbed pallet. Do some arm curls before you get there. A few of the prices are equal to other places but overall, the prices rock the big boys (Costco, Food for Less, etc.). I don't see us doing our basic grocery shopping here but for staples and/or luxury items -remember, I'm a foodie brat - I can see us getting items and storing them in portion controlled quart/gallon bags. read more

I see restaurant owners come here to buy their meat , vegetables and ingredients . They have a lot of big cheeses , lots of desserts in the freezer. This place by far has the best selection of meat. Your not going to find a small cut of meat but you will find excellent pork and beef. Generally I come here to pick up a brisket, pork ribs, or pork shoulder. They have angus in many cuts. There prices are excellent and I will continue to come here. read more

Great place!! Recently went there for the Stockton Chamber July mixer and they put on a spread!! Very clean store. Bill and his staff were extemely nice and helpful. Although the sign on the door says Businesses and Wholesale they do sell to the general public. If you are in need of high quality food in bulk and fantastic service this is the place to go. I walked into the meat walk in and was very impressed with the selection. I will be returning to get some all the supplies I need for a nice summer BBQ soon. read more

This store is like a Costco and Smart and Final had a baby! Everything is so cheap here but comes in huge packages. For those that like to BBQ you can't beat the price of their meat especially ribs.
