I don't get it. Why pay $65 for a membership when nothing is a good deal? I do like that gas seems to be about 10 cents cheaper than everywhere else. The cafe is a good deal with $1.50 hotdogs & soda and huge slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza for $1.99. We appreciate the free samples. It's a great way to taste the product. BUT... 1. Parking is a nightmare. It's as if the whole of West Michigan ascends on this store from open until close. 2. The good deals? Hard to spot. Most items are actually cheaper from Meijer or Aldi when I do the math and subtract for bulk. 3. I keep hearing great things about their meat, but truly, there are no deals to be had. Would love to try it, but their "sales" are more like regular price +. 4. During the subscription process they try to up sell you to the executive membership for over $130! They say that way you can get money back and books trips through Costco? Ummm... okay... but why? More deals? Nothing really seems like a deal, but everyone else is acting like it. It truly worries me... do people not know how to do math anymore? Is this herd mentality? Everything is busy and a line up for free samples, cafe, gas, and checkout which makes one feel like there is a scarcity dilemma and lends toward impulse purchases. Not sure if this place is worth the investment. We like the cheap lunch, but the headache of parking and battling crowds makes it less appetizing. I don't think we will renew. On Sunday 07/19/2026 they had the automotive employees in their dirty uniforms working the checkout lines. I personally don't want anybody wearing unclean uniforms and hands that have been working on cars touching my food. read more

We love Costco! I wish it wasn't such a long trip for us to get here so we could stop in on days that aren't weekends. It's always crazy town. The visit today was just for a few staples and we managed to spend $3xx.00+! But, the prices are unbeatable. I wish the parking lot wasn't so crazy! Also, on the way out we stopped and grabbed a late lunch from the service center for a huge deal. A soda, ice cream, hot dog and slice of pizza had us stuffed and it was such a great deal. Can't wait until the new one in Fruitport township is built so we don't have to drive quite so far! read more

Plenty of room to pump gas with fast pumps, but there are only two pumps per line, unlike some other Costco locations which have more pumps. Prices for gas at this Costco location didn't seem to be any cheaper than the surrounding competitor's stations. read more

Our trip to Costco feels like an adventure. We never know what treasures we might find that fit our needs and wants. The store is usually bustling with people rushing around, hunting for various items of different qualities. The selection is limitless, and bargains can be discovered in every nook and cranny of the massive warehouse. Happy service representatives are always available to help you find your prize. Free food and drink stations are scattered throughout the store, offering enough goodies for a satisfying lunch. There was always a store culture that came with shopping at Costco and it has disappeared in a matter of months, with new management. Employees ignore customers, no greetings at the door, or registers. Cashiers seem miserable and throw groceries. If a "bagger" is present, they don't even make eye contact, but previously would hold conversation. It's a very weird and sudden change for a company that has been very consistent for years and years in customer service and employee happiness. These are top down problems that could be fixed by management. read more

I believe great customer service needs to be recognized. My wonderful customer service experience was at the Costco, Wilson Avenue, Wyoming, Michigan. A woman named Jean (I believe) works in the Pharmacy Department. When I asked her how to use my OTC Card at Costco, she explained exactly what I needed to do prior to using my OTC Card. (obtain a PIN etc.) She also took the time to explain to me I may be entitled to a reimbursement for the OTC products I was buying. My OTC issuer had not explained any of this. I had the opportunity to thank her today in person. I also advised someone in the Pharmacy Department how helpful she was. I just feel that someone in the Costco organization should know what a great group of employees they have at the Wyoming, Michigan location. These employees are competent, happy to help, pleasant, and truly customer facing. Jean is an excellent example of putting the customer first and going above and beyond! It would be great if Costco updated their website to allow reviews to be given / or an email address for feedback. read more

Lately they've stationed an employee to match photo on the card with the person shopping, specially at self checkout. This location does not seem to have the membership they hoped to, so they think irritating the ones they have might help. Maybe they're hoping that every member of my 6 member family will pay for a membership. And buy their supersized items for the whole town. Aren't people who check out items paying for it? What's your problem Costco Grandville? Cut this crap and pass the cost savings onto me. Kalamazoo, Kentwood, Northville, Bloomfield Hills don't do this insulting nonsense. I've put in request for specific products in the suggestion box and they've not bothered to add it to the shelf. So I end up going to other Costco stores. I have been a frequent visitor of Costco and this visit exceeded my expectations. We came for our yearly vision test and were pleased with the examination. The staff in eye class department was able to locate the same glasses that that I had purchased the year before even though they were not on display. read more

Costco is a great place to get fresh fruits and vegetables as well as staples. Bakery goods are wonderful. I love to stock up on soup staples. Great deals on toilet paper and dog food. read more

First off let me say...THIS PLACE IS BUSY (especially on the weekend!) The lines for checking out where LONG (but they did seem to move fairly quickly). If you are one who likes samples, they are not short of stands offering those but good luck trying to get one, seems how there is typically a line for them, what I have noticed is that with free samples brings the customers with bad manners (pushing, cutting, etc). :( They have a wide selection of Organic options, which is nice. One thing I did notice is that identical items that are sold both at Costco & Sam's Club are normally (if not always) cheaper at Sam's! So it is good to shop around! Sam's Club basic membership is also cheaper. One thing I hate is why do I have to show my membership card when I enter the warehouse (I can't buy anything if I don't have a membership!). I have little kids that I am normally wrangling and its not the easiest to dig out my card just to show you that "yes, I have a membership card" (I wouldn't be coming here if I didn't!). The staff I have experienced is nice, EXCEPT one lady we encountered today (3/8/2015), she was working in the bed section. She was not friendly at all, actually quit rude! I do wish Costco would lover their prices (match Sam's Club prices), then I wold shop there more. Also, I wish they would accept other credit cards (sorry I don't have the type you accept, I have normal ones like Mastercard & Visa!). read more

My in store experience has been good so far. We are new members. I called and spoke to a lady today and I was very kind to her yet she answered and gave all these excuses to put me on hold almost like she didn't want to deal with me. I patiently waited only for her to be rude and short with me on the phone. I continued to be calm and kind. I could tell she didn't want to look into my question about a picnic table. When I said thank you for your help she responded with yup bye and instantly hung up!! I've worked the whole pandemic and I understand but to be so rude to someone is not right!! read more

Stopped in Costco to get some wine. It was our first stop, when we arrived in Grand Rapids. Found some very good bottles at decent prices. The store was clean and cashier friendly. The great thing about being a Costco member is knowing we can stop in these great stores, when we travel. read more

Let me start by saying I shop at Costco frequently and like the products and experience. I recently ordered a refrigerator from the Costco website. Of course it included "white glove" delivery. The gentlemen that delivered the frig damaged walls, wall trim and a wood floor. Ok, as long as they repair the damage, I'm still good. The delivery people tell me the delivery company will be in touch later that day to address the damage. The didn't call until many days later after I complained many times to Costco. Costco told me it was not there issue and it was between me and the delivery company. Remember, I paid Costco, not the delivery company. Costco did open a ticket to track the problem. The "Costco" person managing the damage ticket was also a third party contractor. The delivery company finally got in touch with a very unprofessional email. Required I fill out forms, send pictures and 2 quotes for the repair. That's work on my part while they do nothing. They finally did agree to reimburse for the quoted repair although 2 weeks later I'm still waiting for a check. For a company I think so much of, and spend so much money with, a very disappointing experience. If you order a large item to be placed in your house from Costco, beware. read more

I'm generally a fan of Costco, but my experience with tire service has been poor. Buying tires, no problem. Getting the periodic balancing and rotation done, however, is. The online appointments shows "no availability" for every single day for the next month. No one answers the tire center phone number so you can't make appointments that way either. And Costco doesn't take walk-in appointments. TERRIBLE!! read more

When I first walked in I had two things on my mind, cinnamon rolls, and churros so I first walked to the bakery section, no cinnamon rolls. So I went to the freezer area to see if they had cinnamon rolls over there, no Cinnamon rolls. So I called it a day to went to we're they sell there food. I pulled put some cash went to the cashier and asked for a churro. Apparently they don't take cash AND they weren't selling churros. And there ruffles sample only had 3 chips in it. read more

Typically like shopping at Costco, but a little disappointed today. Now I understand there are rules and I appreciate that, but after spending some good amount of time in the store shopping was told that memberships are "non transferable," clearly to protect the integrity of the store. For the store to refuse my business cause the name on the card if my wife's and not mine seems to be excessive, she typically does the Costco run but works nights and needed some last minute items picked up for a party this weekend so I was left a list and asked to go, I used the same card I have used at multiple other Costco's without issue. So now the membership we have is wasted as I need to go elsewhere nearby and lose out on the savings the membership provides. read more

Great prices but they move merchandise around so much that you can't find anything. It's usually hard to find someone to ask but they're super helpful when you're lucky enough to catch someone (sample people sometimes know but they might not know b/c they're not Costco employees). Great coupons and the store is really clean. Super-friendly cashiers but hit-or-miss at the pharmacy. Overkill on pushing their executive membership and American Express card. In fact, they will not accept MC/Visa credit cards so that more people sign up for their Costco American Express card. At least you can use your debit card though. A fun part of Costco is that you get to sample some of their products. There are a lot of things I would never bought had I not had the chance to try it first. read more

Can I just say that the Costco Street Taco kit is amazing. I hope this product never gets discontinued because I am crazy about it. It comes with 12 tortillas, seasoned chicken, cheese, cilantro lime sauce, salsa, shredded veggies, limes, and the best part is that all I have to do is heat up the chicken and the tortillas. For an average of $1.33 per taco, this is one product I will buy regularly!!! read more

I don't know how I ever survived before Costco opened their store in Wyoming, Mi. I absolutely love almost everything about it! They have the best customer service of any retail store that exist. Everyone who works there is super friendly, very courteous, and so helpful. They carry such a great variety of many good quality groceries and other items why would you need to shop anywhere else? If I had to pick just one thing about Costco that I don't care for, it's that they change what products they sell too often. It bothers me when I go to their store to specifically purchase a particular item and find out they no longer carry it. :( I find that many of their products are not sold anywhere else. That is the only thing that frustrates me about Costco, so that in itself is not enough to make me stop shopping there. Also, I love their free samples. read more

I went to Costco Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving for their yummy pumpkin pies. The parking lot was busy with cars coming and going dodging shoppers with carts piled high with food and gifts. I was hoping they would still have pumpkin pies and was thinking I would be in line for a long time. Even though they were busy, I got right in made my purchase and was on my way in a short amount of time. And best of all, the pumpkin pie was a hit for Thanksgiving. read more

Everything they sale is quality, the staff are always eager to help with any of your needs, and they have sooo many options in store and online. Do not go to Costco for tires!!! Not only is the costumer service horrible but we had to return tires we bought from them three times. The first two times was because their website gave us the wrong tires for are car. the third time we were recommended the tires and when we got them on they made a rubbing sound.... We went back and they said they shouldn't have put those on because they were the wrong size! Save yourself the headache and just go to Discount Tire... Was in the Wyoming MI store yesterday and was lucky enough to stumble upon an employee named Tina. I spoke with Tina about a problem I had with Costco no longer stocking the large, 6.3lb cans of Del Monte green beans. I normally buy 42 cans every few months. Tina gladly went to the stores computer and started searching. She did find that this store would no longer be carrying this item but then she went a step further. She did a massive search for any Costco store that might still have them and after much searching, she found that the Grand Rapids store carried them and as luck would have it, her husband worked at that store. So she called him, had him bring home 42 cans, that's almost 265 lbs of beans, then she brought them into the Wyoming store this morning so I could pick them up there. Now that is what I would call going above and beyond her normal duties. Tina represents what a GREAT Costco employee should strive for and both the store itself and the corporate offices should recognize Tina for her outstanding efforts. Tina didn't treat me as a customer, she treated me as a friend! read more

Costco is great, but I always drop hundreds of dollars when I go there. They have ( obviously ) bulk proportions of anything you need, and lots of seasonal items at good prices. Most of what they have is really good quality, including the food. The bakery is awesome, and I love me a 5lb tub if hummus! read more

Great place to go and buy bulk items. They have good products to choose from. The only issue I have is that it seems like they move things around so much that I never know where to go since it is not in the same place I saw it the time before. Some of the people walking around in the tech part can be a little pushy and in your face but that is how all tech people are. read more

When I have shopped here, it's very common for the first 2 months of a long term generic medication (as opposed to brand name) to be steeply discounted, or free (though this may be a result of agreements with my insurance carrier). Over 2016 my doctor had to try multiple prescriptions to find one that worked for me. As a result I saved $30-$40 just on one medical issue. Coscto is a massive store. There will be lines some of the time, especially on the weekends because so many people flock there on their days off (and for free samples at the grocery portion of the store). Try going during the week, if you can. They're open Mon-Fri until 10AM-7PM for pharmacy and 8:30 for grocery. If you are worried the prescription may not be ready when you get there, try calling ahead. Super simple, takes about 2 minutes, to avoid a wasted trip. Not as helpful for 2nd or 3rd shifters, but covers 2/3 of most customers. In my absolute worst mood, their staff always has a smile for me. And I'm not an outgoing person. They have been kind, and *patient* at every opportunity. When I have arrived and a prescription has not been ready, they very often offer to move it forward in the fill line, so that it can be ready in the next 30 minutes. Walk the store, come back, and it's often ready sooner than that. If the doctor hasn't called in a prescription, they have even called my doctor's office to follow up with them for me. Some people like sam's club as opposed to costco claiming lower prices. On a few select items that may be true. But for less than $5 difference, the products are made in the US, the quality is much higher, the return policy is no questions asked for non proprietary stuff (DVDS etc may still have restrictions, but anything else has been accepted, without a receipt, cash in hand, and without issue. I also have the benefit of knowing the employees are paid a better wage, that pay is then going back into our community when the employees buy other stuff locally, and they get freaking insurance instead of being kept just below full time at a Walton owned store to deny them benefits. Great company. Reasonable prices. Incredible service. Amazing food court. And they treat people with respect. So, if my final bill is $5 more, and it took $10 minutes longer to shop, I think I can cope. Plus, high grade gas, and the best prices in town. read more
