I would've done zero stars but I can't…read more On March 15th, my friends and I came in search of dresses for our senior prom. The energy my friends and I had to endure while shopping here was unacceptable and inappropriate. When shopping you want fun and uplifting environment which the staff did not bring. There are no signs, directions were unclear, and they got upset with my group when weren't sure of what to do. When two of my girls were trying on dresses and they needed help their fitting room attendants were no where to be found and since we couldn't help them get into the dresses we had to search around the building for them to which the staff responded with "please sit down" all while yelling it across the building. This entire experience was unpleasant and frustrating rather than enjoyable. Furthermore, one of my friends had been looking online and was informed that they "rarely update their website" so she couldn't even try any of them on. Very disappointed in this experience and based on the prices it wasn't worth our time. You pay so much but get such poor service.

Also, the prices are great. Other thrift stores like Goodwill have steadily increased their prices, but Salvation Army is staying at very low and affordable prices. They also always have a tag sale going on where if you get five items of clothing with the tag color of the week it's five for $5 on Saturday and friday I think. That's a banger of a deal. I've only ever encountered kind employees at this place. So there's that. Sure the place might not be super clean but who cares it's a thrift store you know? Probably half of my closet is from this place so good job Salvation Army keep up the good work!

However, when my son needed a suit for prom and graduation, I wanted to get him something new that could last him a while. However, I have no experience buying suits I have absolutely no idea how to measure one for a suit. Fortunately, Woodland tailoring was recommended to me. We went on a Saturday in April. The place was packed with prom and wedding parties. I was a little dismayed initially, because there were only two gentlemen working and about 30 people in the store. I prepared myself for a wait. Much to my surprise and amazement, the gentleman worked through the line almost magically. After about 10 minutes, it was our turn and it only took a look for him to pull a suit off the rack for my son to try on. No measuring needed he just knew exactly what he needed with a look. That's how you know you are with people who know their stuff! It needed some minor alterations which they do in-house same day!. 30 minutes later, our suit was ready. He threw in a vest and we got a shirt and we were out the door for $210, honestly, that was one of the easiest things we did that day. If you need men's formalwear for any occasion I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Fantastic experience!

They did have a few jackets that weren't carried back home yet but, we did get them a few weeks later. I saw a few really nice shirts but, I couldn't bring myself to buy them as Michigan pays tax on clothes and in PA we don't.
