There's a lot of stress planning a wedding but the team at the Cotillion, especially working with George, made the day effortless on mine behalf and I didn't have to worry about a thing when it came to the reception. He made sure that we had a timeline for the night and advise us when we should cut the cake to our first dance and all the important details so our photographer can get those important pictures without the servers in our pictures. The venue was absolutely beautiful from all of the decors to every details on the each tables. The team at the Cotillion was very accommodating and worked with our budget and even went out of their way to help our vendors set up and letting my husband and I practice our first dance in another room while they set up. The servers and bartenders gave one of the best services to all of our guests which is amazing and very important to us. Our guests rave about the amazing food and the venue. George and his team are the of the best in the wedding business!

Me and my Wife can't recommend Cotillion Banquets enough! We had our wedding reception here and it was the best experience of our lives! The banquet was beautiful, the food was amazing, the price was far better than any comparable banquet hall, but most of all the coordinator George was amazing! He accommodated our wishes perfectly, he was super attentive and dedicated, and our night went perfectly! Seriously, stop looking and have your event at the Cotillion. I could not have been happier with our choice. Thank you George and Cotillion Banquets for making our wedding night amazing!

I am so excited to write this review. While, I have not actually been here for a special event, quite yet, I have just booked my wedding reception here over the weekend. After visiting about 12 places, we found that the Cotillion was the most beautiful, easy-to-get-to, and have the best food. You get what you pay for, ladies and gents. And this place is proof. It was a little more than I was hoping to pay, but I just know my wedding will be gorgeous Thanksgiving weekend 2012. It's a luxurious facility with delicious food and an even better staff. Tom is one of the owners we have been working with and he has been nothing but helpful. He has an excellent attitude and is very honest. Being in sales, myself, I know a good sales person, and he is a no-pressure kinda guy---a lot like me, in that way. They arranged for us to have a pre-tasting before booking and even held the room we wanted for us without a deposit before-hand. We went in for a pre-tasting and in about my third bite, I was sold. Just waited there for my fiance to say something and he sure did. We booked our reception about 30 minutes later and were on our marry way. I made sure to scope out the place for handicap accessibility and their side entrance has a nice little overhang where my elders can get into and out of the facility easily. It's a beautiful place with chandeliers, a family owned atmosphere and great food. I can not wait to celebrate our wedding here and more importantly, I can not wait to get married! I'm certain our guests will have a spectacular time. Keep your eye on my reviews for an update coming December 2012....

Could not have nicer things to say about working with My Chef and Jamie Walsh for our wedding day…read morecatering. We met Jamie at our venue's vendor expo and were immediately impressed by their services, pricing, and vast food offerings. It was a no brainer to book with their group! We had our tasting a couple months before our wedding day; which is complimentary to the couple and a $50 charge for any additional guest to join. They have you select 8-10 appetizers, 2 salads, and 4 entrees to taste at their Naperville location. They also have displays of china, silverware, glasses and more to help couples select what aligns aesthetically for their special day. Jamie worked with us to make small modifications to their standard offerings to make the food exactly what we wanted! Our wedding day came and we were floored by the quality/presentation of food, level of detail in place settings, and service from all staff members. We had multiple guests say that this was some of the best wedding food they've had, steaks were not over cooked, and food tasted fresh. Jamie also let us add desserts a week out to reallocate money from a couple of guests who last minute were unable to attend. Their team was even nice enough to service items not purchased through their group: disposables for the late night snack, display and refilling of cupcakes, etc. Overall, their group went above and beyond for us under Jamie's leadership. Our tables looked great, our food was wonderful, and their team was fabulous. We truly appreciate all they've done for us and could not recommend them more! Appetizers Selected: Mac & Cheese Bites, Bacon Wrapped Dates w Honey Citrus Sauce, Cocktail Meatballs, Bruschetta Bar Salad Selected: Mixed Field Greens w Pears, Goat Cheese, Pear Infused Vinaigrette. *Alts: Candied Walnuts & Second Balsamic Dressing to offer Dinner Selections: 1. Filet w Red Wine Demi Sauce, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, & Asparagus 2. Garlic & Herb Cheese Stuffed Chicken, Vodka Sauce w Bowtie Noodles, & Grilled Veggies 3. It is so soft with a little crunch on the outside . Plus it's not TOO much bread . Their turkey is great along with the oil and pickles. Definitely would get it again. End it with the cannolis.. omg prob the best I've had in a very long time ! The shell was thicker and didn't fall apart when we tried to eat it . The only downers are their hours and one of the workers . It's a Hispanic woman who took our order over the phone , she let him know by her tone she wasn't looking g forward to heating the soup . He called from the car on the way and was told 20min. He got there sooner than the 20min mark and she started bitching in Spanish !!! Saying , "Is this the guy for the soups? I told him 20min wtf is he doing here already ?" People should be very careful bc you never know who is in your restaurant, sorry honey he knows Spanish and replied in SPANISH , "It's ok I'll wait !" She looked at him like a deer in headlights and went to the back. He laughed it off but it was extremely rude , it's warming up soup lady it's not rocket science and the stove does all the work . If that's too hard for you , maybe you should find another job bc your lame attitude isn't professional or cute !!!

Catering Made Simple was, without question, the most stressful, unprofessional, and disappointing vendor of my entire wedding. What makes it worse is that the owner chose coercion over accountability -- attempting to pressure me into deleting my review before even agreeing to speak with me. That alone should tell you how they handle their mistakes. I posted multiple public notices tagging them and gave them a deadline -- Friday, September 26 at 12:00 PM -- to reach out and make things right. Despite several attempts, they ignored every one. Planning Failures: Our contract clearly stated a plated dinner, and I provided a detailed color-coded diagram with guest names, allergies, and meal choices weeks in advance. Despite this, staff insisted it was a buffet while we were lined up for our ceremony. I had to walk into the reception in my gown minutes before walking down the aisle to correct them. Because of their confusion and refusal to listen, our ceremony was delayed -- critical time lost as we were already working around rain. Execution Failures: We paid for full cake service, but utensils were missing, and flimsy tools from a décor box labeled "Do not use" were handed to us. Our cake, made by a close friend, was ruined when staff shoved a fragile custom topper -- still in its frame -- into the cake, splitting the top tier. One staff member even called it "cheap." They also failed to provide the highboy table we paid for and placed our cake awkwardly in the back of the dessert table. Guest Service Failures: Staff hovered over tables and repeatedly asked guests if they were finished. My own half-eaten meal was cleared while I was in the restroom, leaving me hungry at my own wedding. When I asked for water, I was escorted to the bar instead of being served. Professionalism & Accountability: My coordinator was harassed to the point of tears, and staff even threatened to pull me aside during the reception to complain about her. The owner, Greg, was present all night, saw me address problems directly, and never once spoke to me or apologized. Instead, he posted defensive public comments and tried to coerce me into removing my review. The only positive: the food was warm, tasty, and as expected from the tasting -- but that's where the good ends. The impact on our wedding was significant: * Our ceremony was delayed. * My coordinator was harassed. * Our cake -- lovingly made by a friend -- was ruined. * Guests felt uncomfortable. * I was left hungry. * The owner refused to take responsibility. To top it all off, I have since been blocked from a major Chicago wedding vendor group -- likely due to a complaint from Catering Made Simple -- instead of them engaging in constructive dialogue. Catering Made Simple failed in planning, execution, professionalism, and accountability. They caused unnecessary stress and ruined key moments of a once-in-a-lifetime day -- and then tried to silence me. Brides and grooms: do not risk your wedding on this company.
