Food is ok . The focaccia sandwich isn't as good as I remember. The pasta salad was dripping in oil , the chicken in the chicken soup was tough . I asked for a small and got a pint . There's still a huge plastic divider when trying to place order so he can't hear properly and not very friendly . People don't stick around to eat here . They mostly have to go orders . Absolutely Delicious Fresh in-house made breads etc. sub was absolutely amazing (x 2. Wife agrees) the freshness of the meats and condiments with their fresh meats is the Best we've ever had. So I had to take half home for dinner and Boom Same delicious! I also bought their Giant pizza by the slice. It's the Best now we've ever had. Only tried pep/cheese but Amazing flavors. New to this place . Had the pasta fagioli twice and it is AMAZING !!! Today I had their turkey sub and cannoli . I think the best part of the sub is their fresh baked bread. It is so soft with a little crunch on the outside . Plus it's not TOO much bread . Their turkey is great along with the oil and pickles. Definitely would get it again. End it with the cannolis.. omg prob the best I've had in a very long time ! The shell was thicker and didn't fall apart when we tried to eat it . The only downers are their hours and one of the workers . It's a Hispanic woman who took our order over the phone , she let him know by her tone she wasn't looking g forward to heating the soup . He called from the car on the way and was told 20min. He got there sooner than the 20min mark and she started bitching in Spanish !!! Saying , "Is this the guy for the soups? I told him 20min wtf is he doing here already ?" People should be very careful bc you never know who is in your restaurant, sorry honey he knows Spanish and replied in SPANISH , "It's ok I'll wait !" She looked at him like a deer in headlights and went to the back. He laughed it off but it was extremely rude , it's warming up soup lady it's not rocket science and the stove does all the work . First time at Capri today. We decided to order pizza and salad for the Bears game. My thoughts: --This is a very unassuming little deli in a strip mall, but it has a lot of inside seating and a lot of patrons for a Sunday at noon. --I said to the owner, "This is my first time here. What should I try next time?" He said, "Our pizza is good; our sandwiches are great!" --We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was really solid. The cheese was really good. Sauce and crust are solid, pepperoni is ok. --My wife is picky, only likes Wayne's, but said that this is a close #2. --I came back again for lunch and got a slice of pizza--it is ginormous! I love a good deli, and have had problems finding one in the Rolling Meadows/AH area. Then doing some research I found Capri Deli. Went with my wife and tried a few things, unfortunately they did not have any Pastrami :( But ended up getting a pasta dish, my wife got a sub, and we split a pizza slice. Overall it was pretty good and they had a good amount of business. The only downfall to this place is they close too early :( read more

This place has been here 20 years or more. The bread is made in house and all of them including the focaccia is fantastic. Prices are different on their menu and the board on the wall when you walk in. It's confusing. You can barely read the font from 10 feet away. They charge an additional fee if paying by credit card which is always a disservice to customers. Ambiance is a simple deli shop clean and simple. read more

The Italian sub and Beef/sausage combo were excellent alternatives to the pizza( it was a busy day and they had run out) The service was quick, the restaurant was nicely decorated and reminded us of our trip to Capri, Italy. The owner, Anthony, was very friendly and as we sat and chatted, he made a cheese pizza for us to sample. We aren't from the area, but it will definitely be a place we go again when we are nearby. Ordered for the first time yesterday delivery (took 90 minutes). I wasn't in a hurry so it didn't matter too much. Ordered their chicken salad as well as a Square Pan Pizza. Chicken Salad - an enormous amount of chicken but it had an extremely strange taste like it had been reheated or something. Dry. Greens and homemade croutons as well as the house dressing were all very good. But the chicken had to be thrown away - 3/5 Square Pan Pizza - I believe I ordered the Special (which had veggies as well) but only received Sausage. However, the pan pizza here is too fantastic not to give them high marks. Great portion, texture, and flavor. Pizza arrived piping hot. 5/5 I'm going to probably give this place another go over the holiday break because I am eyeing a few other things on the menu, and if not for the chicken probably would have given them a 5. 4/5 with an opportunity to get that 5th star later. So I was introduced to Capri Deli and it has become one of my favorites. I love the Italian sub, pasta salad, the huge "slice" of pizza, and you can't not try the fresh cannolis!! I'm slowly making my way through the menu. You can definitely tell it's family owned and managed. The bread is fresh, meat freshly sliced, fresh vegetables. I try something new each time and haven't been disappointed yet. The atmosphere is very old school Italian Deli. Everyone is very friendly and you can tell they are happily employed and treated right. When I was younger there were a bunch of places like this, they seem to get harder and harder to find. Great local counter-service sandwich and catering spot. Pretty basic menu and interior, but it's a no frills favorite. We've tried several sandwiches over the years and recently tried the pizza. We've enjoyed it all. My go-to is the tuna sandwich which they can make deconstructed with the bread on the side to make it gluten free. We haven't tried the catering, but I always see people picking up big orders when I'm in there. It must be popular so we'll have to give it a try sometime. read more

I think Capri deli is excellent . Nothing better then coming in to the smell of fresh bread baking as I look over the menu of the delicious cold cuts and cheeses . Always fresh crisp iceberg with slices of tomatoes and sweet red onion . On a delicious fresh bread, made daily in house. The prices went up as well as everywhere else. But it's worth it and n line with everywhere else. The sandwiches are always a bigger then what you order. If you like fresh sandwich's I would come check it out. The focaccia sandwich is excellent. I love this place, the cashier very friendly. Maybe an owner ? Back of the house indifferent, I guess that's why they do what they do best and just keep putting out delicious sandwiches . Great to be back here for lunch since that ridiculous COVID pandemic! I came in last Thursday 7/19 at around 1 pm! I had the Capri Special Sandwich (but swapped the usual French Bread option for Focaccia Bread instead, which was way more tasty. Although I originally wanted the 12 inch sandwich and the Focaccia reduced the sandwich size down to 8 inches because of its round shape, I really didn't care, since Focaccia has so much more flavor than boring cliched French Bread)! I also had a large Chicken Noodle Soup and a 12 inch thin crust Capri Special Pizza (which had sausage, green peppers, mushrooms and onions on it)! Including a 20% tip, I paid $65 for my order. The young lady at the register was friendly, knowledgeable and professional! So glad she told me I could switch the bread for my sandwich to Focaccia! She also let me know it would take about 35 minutes or so to make the pizza (which was fine, since I told her I planned on eating my sandwich and soup in the restaurant anyway)! The restaurant's clean and quite spacious dining room is still festively painted with a seaside harbor view looking out onto the Mediterranean! Glad I got there when I did because during peak lunch hours (noon - 2), the place fills up pretty quick! While I ate my sandwich and soup/waited for my pizza, about 10-12 people were already in line! I had never heard of Capri, until there was an event at work where they brought in some pizza from Capri. I'll be honest, growing up in a family where we only really got pizza from places that delivered to our house left me as a woefully under-informed adult in terms of the delicious food options that exist in the area. I still haven't figured out where exactly Capri is, but the pizza was a perfect thin crust, and everything I think a good pizza should be. We did half spinach/half meat, and both were delicious and tasty. Having a house full of thin crust pizza lovers, I'm definitely looking forward to the opportunity to bring some Capri home as a surprise. read more

I came here for lunch and was surprised at how empty the restaurant was. They take your order at the counter and then call you up when it's all done. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered their 4" Capris Famous Focaccia Sandwich. The dressing they put on this thing is amazing, and the focaccia was perfectly warmed up, it was soft and tasted very fresh. In between the focaccia was fresh cut lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and salami. The inside is very spacious, and still don't understand why this place wouldn't be packed. Capri deli has the most authentic Italian sandwiches in the entire Chicagoland area. I say this because my wife and I lived in Milan for ten years and have scoured the area for true "Milanese" panini and only Capri has delivered! I got the "Capri's Famous Focaccia Sandwich" and it took me to the moon and back. I absolutely fell in love with this sandwich and I now treat any guests that visit us with one of them. My wife got the tuna sandwich and she was equally delighted with it. Our friends order their pizzas almost exclusively from here and they say they're the best they've ever had, so pizza is next on our list.
