One of Sara's lovely bakers delivered this amazing 2-tiered cake with a photo-realistic, edible, white chocolate, 5 pound bass attached to the top, frozen in mid-lunge toward a lure. All of the party guests were agog and the young fisherman was duly touched that his mom delivered so well on his request. When it came time to cut the cake, I fully expected it to be another gorgeous but not worth the calorie consumption dessert to which I have no trouble saying, "No thanks!" However, I had a taste and quickly changed my tune. The vanilla cake had a lovely, light texture and the interior vanilla bean buttercream was simply irresistable - smooth, buttery, and with a slightly spiced flavor that made it much more interesting than the typical after-thought frostings underneath fondant.
