Hotel was nice for the visit to Lubbock. Just know that is about 15 minutes away from Texas Tech. Staff was amazing at every encounter. Wish I could remember the young man that checked us in as he was great. His vibe was very warm and welcoming. They do offer a breakfast buffet. It consisted of eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, fruits, cereal and potatoes. The restaurant is open daily as well. There is a Target and other shopping and food places less than 10 minutes away. Loved the AC worked well however we found no middle ground on the temp in the room. Hotel is in an industrial type area and not far from the interstate. read more

Better yet we checked out, I realised hours later that I left a couple hundred dollars in one of the drawers, called and spoke with Rose who went to my room, found the dough and told me she has it at the front desk. Blink, Lubbock, need a hotel? Effortlessly, this is a top pick amidst a wasteland of mediocre places to lie your head on a sub par pillow. ( which in Tech Football season equates 4 times a standard rate..) I liked this hotel but, felt as the others which were a smidgen above , they did not maintain the upkeep on the property, the rooms etc.. Exhausted & requesting a tub. I landed here $ was met by the quintessential host Ryan! He helped me consolidate for Hilton Honors points accounts & his courtesy was immaculate! & gave notes & guidance on unknown values of the Hilton Honors program. Later, he took the time to jot down the 5 accounts associated with H.H. & & contact information. He is always considerate each consecutive time since asking for floor preference & other amenity requests. Truly, he goes above and beyond & deserves a promotion & a raise as he just looks to make each customer's experience immaculate! The hotel & service overall was good. I will say the food was delicious for hotel fare. My only complaint is wait staff & bar staff complaining about closing by 9 pm in front of the guests. Overall, very good experience! read more

We stopped overnight on a trip to Colorado. This is located on the west side of Lubbock. We found this hotel very accommodating. They secured our mountain bikes in storage overnight for us. We ventured to try their restaurant. This is a first for us. We had spent enough time in the car. We were pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the food. We ordered Kobe burger, veggie egg rolls and side salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing. All was delicious and the burger was cooked perfectly. The room was clean, bed comfortable and made for a good nights sleep. In the morning, we were able to enjoy their breakfast buffet. This we paid for with our stay. The Buffett had scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, sausage, pancakes, fruit, waffles, muffins and more. We will look to stay on our future travels. read more

Stayed for a week during a work trip. Horrible experience, worst part is that they stuck me with $228 incidental fee that I haven't been able to get refunded. We stopped here for one night while on our road trip from Denver to Austin. This was a perfect place to rest and recharge! The restaurant off the lobby was prefect for dinner. We called the front desk and ordered food to go. The front desk was very helpful with this and while the hotel doesn't provide room service, working with the front desk to get takeout was a close second. Beds were also very comfortable! read more

I booked this hotel after I read abysmal reviews for the one another party had booked in downtown. I booked this one in a panic on the road to the point I thought I used the Hilton website but I didn't. It was a 3rd party so I wasn't able to use possible discounts when I calmed down and got to the hotel. (My advice: USE THE HILTON WEBSITE TO BOOK!) NOTE: I'm gonna deduct 1 star solely because I was told at check in I would have an additional 300 dollar hold put on my credit card for restaurant and bar use--- I got the included breakfast package, but we'd charge our breakfast to the room, then afterward they'd refund the breakfast, (but obviously that doesn't include tip). SO CONFUSING The breakfast was good, but if you did the buffet, I've had the exact same breakfast at other cheaper hotels. Except it comes with waiters that kept forgetting things and we had to remind them to wipe the tables down. They were young, and I was absolutely that inept at that age, so I gave them a lot of grace. You can order a few other cheaper things for breakfast, (and the breakfast sandwich was DELICIOUS and BIG) but i like getting a little of everything, so I mostly got the brekkie buffet. Room was very CLEAN (yay!) and I liked the shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion they provided. The little fridge had a very tiny almost non existent freezer (which we actually needed to be larger). The fridge worked otherwise. The provided tv service thankfully had closed captions I enabled for a party member. Ample counter space in the room! which we used all of. Also had a big comfy chair and a desk chair to sit at, and an ottoman thingie. We used all of them. I used the gym twice, which was clean and serviceable. Except the treadmill was out of order, which was disappointing as my elderly parents are too wobbly for the elliptical and don't like using the bikes. Oh I also used the washer and dryer which did it's job. The elevators were quick and you couldn't really feel the movement. I also really liked the to go coffees at breakfast, and later the water cups. I hung out one night in the lobby and was very comfy. read more

Arrived at this property after staying in several other Hilton Garden Inn's. This property has a beautiful layout, a restaurant that cooks good-enough tasting food, and a friendly staff that is always willing to assist. Unfortunately, this property needs a lot of maintenance/attention to detail. Nearly all of the chairs in the dining area of hotel restaurant are stained with old food stuffs, and need to be deep cleaned. Trash is full in the garbage cans I've spotted on property. And the floors all need to be swept/vacuumed. The hotel room was one of the most dirty rooms I have stayed in, and I have stayed in some real dive hotels before in my international travels. This particular hotel room was dirty everywhere. Dirty counter tops, dust, dirt, grime, red mold in shower, stained bedding. It just felt yucky. I spoke to the housekeeping manager and he was very kind and understanding. He apologized for the state of the room and offered to have a housekeeper clean it immediately, but I declined because I just wanted to rest after the long car ride to get here. And I can just as easily clean the room myself, which I did. Later on that evening, after dinner in the hotel, I was informed that the housekeeping manager gave us the night's stay for free. That was very nice of him to do that, as we never asked for anything. So thank you to that young man. This hotel has such good bones. The entire building just needs a good solid cleaning from top to bottom and maybe more staff to accomplish this. Who knows what the problem is. Would I stay here again? No. But I do hope that whatever the issues are here, that they get straightened out. This is such a beautiful property, I hate to see it in such a neglected state. read more

So the staff. The staff are the only redeeming quality of the hotel. I need to start here. Ryan, Xavier, and Matt did a lot to help make it better but overall this property has a ton of issues. One of my largest pet peeves is paying for a room and the room won't allow you to have the ambient noise of running the fan on "constant". The ac units have the capacity to, but the hotel management decided to disable this. I stay in Hilton garden inns all over the US and this is the first one who is trying to be a mizer and not allow you to be comfortable. So that being said when the ac cycles, it wakes me up. So I finally decided to just keep the fan on to try and sleep and my room one morning was 61, and the other day it was 59. This is unacceptable. They tried to move me rooms and fix it but had the same issue. They blamed it on the unit when it's just the ownership/management. The toilet in the room also wasn't installed properly and would rock and make a loud noise on dismount. The second room they gave me, door wouldn't close or lock properly. Had to slam it with all my might just to have it secure, but couldn't actually put on the safety lock. This is also unacceptable. Now this room whoever did the shower pan did a poor job. The grout is coming up, the shower had that feeling of not being hard and was afraid grout or tile would cut the bottom of my feet. It was clean enough. Lobby was clean. Everyone was super nice and I appreciate that. The restaurant also was terrible. The chef is apparently allergic to salt and pepper. Steak #1 was overcooked and the second tasted like nothing. And was 29 dollars. Overall I will never stay at this property again. I'll let you make your own opinion if you should read more

4.8 STARS! $126 per night for a double queen and $106 for Hilton Honors members for us during Covid and dropping our daughter off for the fall semester. HOTEL: They always greet you with a smile and a hello when you walk in. Upon entry I was surprised to see someone of a resort like feel with a nice snack bar wine bar beer cooler chefs kitchen with me to order meals and a nice sit down bar for the adults. There is so there was plenty of seating for meetings or just hanging out to relax. AMENITIES: It felt like a small resort inside a simple hotel. The computer/business center was available, the meeting room was available, the pool was open and everyone kept social distance during Covid. It's a great place to bring the kids or make it a simple stop during your Lubbock visit. LOCATION: There are plenty of restaurants and shopping so close including Target, Home Goods, Bed Bath and Beyond, Costco, Sam's and Chick Fil A of course. HEB is coming soon too! I was checking online for a better price and accidentally made a reservation at Hilton Garden Inn, Lubbock, TX. And immediately tried to cancel reservation for a priceline.com. I was unable to cancel within a minute. I was able to confirm a hotel reservation at Double Tree/Hilton in Lubbock, TX. I would recommend Double Tree with excellent service and clean rooms and amenities. After trying g to follow up on Hilton Gardens Inn I was charged $185.27 for services never rendered. I have attempted to dispute charges and will never ever make a mistake like this again. Hilton Gardens Inn will not honor a stay nor any other location. Eating $185.27 and not being honored is against American policy..International people suck!!! read more

The staff were friendly, the room was a good size, and mostly clean. The soap scum from the curtains had some build up on the spot by the wall. And house cleaning doesn't get the first behind the toilet, and under the counter area. It leaves you wondering what else they miss. Of the Garden Inns we've stayed at this one doesn't use the shower mount for products, but none of the above would keep us from returning. It was quiet, and again we enjoyed the staff. read more

I was very sick because of 1) the overwhelming stink of whatever cleaning spray is used and 2) I was so tired that I failed to see that the temperature was turned to 64 degrees F! I had a cold night and therefore was hurting the next day, even tho I put clothes on top of me and the one blanket. I hurt too much that day to move to a different hotel. The 3rd day I was vomitting from the smell, but able to finally escape to the hotel next door. Cheaper, but much better. Many things here don't work. The lock on my room did not work. There is no laundry service or business center, altho advertised. There was no Bible in the room. The breakfast is a very impoverished version of what existed before covid. The front door barely works, the potty won't flush in a requisite time, and the commode lid is so cheap even I can't sit on it. When I asked for the wifi passcode, the young plump man tried to get me to pay for the internet service and since I am a long-time, often customer, I knew that wasn't so. So, he acted like I was too old to know how to use the internet! When, I tried it, however, I did get it to work- actually strangely easily whether because it is not secured or because I use it so often at this chain. Very difficult to find staff and very difficult to get anything from them. Of course, if one is exhausted and sick, that makes this sort of laziness very hard to take. The room had a fridge, microwave, and Keurig, which I like because I can buy my own pods to put in there. My husband and I stayed here one night for a Tech game. The Overton and every other hotel was booked so we were stuck looking on the outside of the loop. This is a newer hotel. There isnt a ton of parking so you may be stuck parking on the street. The lobby of the hotel is beautiful. Tall ceilings and very comfy yet modern decor. The check in attendant was very friendly. Our room was on the third floor (302) facing the front parking lot. We were able to see the highway from our room which unfortunately made it a little louder with traffic noise. The room itself was very nice. It had a 50 inch tv screen and a large desk, queen size bed, and a chair by the window. The bathroom was a decent size but definitely not big enough for two people to use the sink at the same time. They have a small gym and an indoor pool available. There is a restaurant with a bar open during certain hours. Overall a nice place to stay. I defeinitely wouldnt mind staying here again. read more

I stayed here on and off for over 3 months. There is absolutely nothing to worry about here. Plenty of free parking. Clean rooms and modern decor. The staff are nothing more than amazing. Case at the bar makes a great old fashion and is very professional. They have a great local beer selection and the crowd at the bar is always fun. Met dozens of great people and a few new friends. Victoria at the front desk resolved any concern I had with a smile. Her check in was the fastest I have ever had and I'm on the road 11 months of every year. The food is outstanding and very reasonable. The coconut shrimp and steak are on point. The chef is willing to create off menu items if requested. The pool is clean. The laundry room is a plus. Multiple treadmills and good equipment in the gym. I guarantee you will in no way be disappointed in this hotel. In fact on Thursdays they have live music. Kindle Hunt is an amazing singer and makes your dining experience exceptional. If you must venture out, salt grass steakhouse and twin peaks are walkable. My boyfriend and I especially enjoyed the food and the drinks. Case, y'all's bartender is very nice and carried a great conversation with us while working. Stayed from 13 to 15 July 2021. Overall, the public spaces need to be cleaned more frequently. Distinct hand prints on glass doors that were there upon arrival were still present upon check out. A health department permit to operate for the swimming pool expired on 30 April 2021. Another guest was taking a photo and was going to alert the health department. The swimming pool did have a greenish haze to it and visability was 4 ft or less. Hope the health department pays them a surprise visit to inspect all other areas that require inspection. I saw at least 15 employees and only 1 was wearing a mask, if that is important to you. I opted to where a mask in the public spaces because I was not getting a good vibe on the hotel's cleaning standards. There were less expensive options in Lubbock, but I thought the Hilton name would bring a higher standard. Breakfast started at 0600, but service was a little slow. Another guest arrived after me, ordered, finished eating, and left before my to go meal was ready. Returned to my room with my eggs, sausage, potatoes, and toast, but it turns out the toast was missing. Only four things to put into the to go container and 25% of it was missing. I ate in my room to limit my exposure to other people. Quiet property adjacent to small office parks. If / when I return to Lubbock, I will try another hotel before booking this one again. Apologize for being so negative, but this was the first time I have stayed away from home since March 2020. I really wanted this to be an uneventful stay, but I was disappointed. read more

Wow! We can't say enough good things about our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. We came to Lubbock for a long weekend during Texas Tech graduation. Initially we were very nervous about gathering all of our out of town guests into one hotel during such a busy time, however the staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. Jamal, at the front desk was awesome! He helped me on multiple occasions with coordinating our family members and things to do around Lubbock. He also reminded us to try the flavored water in the lobby and I'm glad he did, it was delicious. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy too. The lobby was our favorite part of the hotel though. It had many different sitting areas that are perfect for relaxing in between events. Our only complaint was that breakfast was not included in the price of the stay. We hope to be back though on our next trip through Lubbock! read more

The rooms were well-designed and cozy. They have lots of premium cable channels and nice toiletries stocked in the room. The $12 breakfast buffet was really good (made to order eggs, French toast, waffles, and pancakes). They also had a dessert reception the night I was there and it was a nice touch.
