Came here for lunch The place has a nostalgic diner setting and was pretty clean inside. I ordered the pastrami burger which was a mistake. The pastrami was very low grade, thick and chewy. The rest of the burger was decent but nothing impressive. Buns tasted like something from the grocery store and the patty had a nice char to it but was not very big or high quality. The staff was nice and the burger came out pretty fast, so that's a plus.

But no worries, we love leftovers! Food is always so creative and wonderful.at Tin Roof. Although we no longer live in Manhattan, still one if our favorite restaurants. Food and service are stellar! We started with cocktails, and of course prepared by our favorite bartender / cocktail specialist extraordinaire, Clark. Off Your Head (Bloody Mary) and Ophella's White Sangria. Both were very tasty! Tin Roof has an excellent cocktail program as does their Simmzy's locations. We started out with Brussel Sprouts. Definitely a hit with the whole table. Tin Roof definitely has the best around, flavorful with a nice crunch, never soggy! We all ordered a variery of starters for our first course. Several had Ceasar Salads. Several had the Watermelon and Feta Salad. One had the Bloddy Mary Deviled Eggs, and another had the Fig; Pistashio, and Cottage Cheese Toast. Everyone loved what they ordered. We were full before our next courses arrived! Our server was Malcolm. He was very attentive even though it was an extremely busy afternoon since it was Father's Day. He was very helpful explaining some of the options only offered on today's menu. They offered a Bistro Burger (five out of six of us ordered!) and I wanted to know how different this burger was from their Simmzy's Burger (my personal favorite). He was spot on, explained it was smokey in flavor and quite different with the pretzel bun. It was so.good, served with fries (best shoestring fries!), onion rings, and piled so high you had to use a fork and knife to eat it! We left beyond full! Definitely we will be back soon!

I simply ADORE a private airport lounge/restaurant! Eureka was wonderful! The first person "greeting" us didn't seem too thrilled to be there, but I was excited enough for the both of us. No matter, as soon as we were seated, a nice guy came over and introduced himself and gleefully agreed with my excitement for the runway location. David (Z) asked if he could get any drinks started while we looked at the menu and made himself available for any questions, but otherwise encouraged us to relax and enjoy the view. We decided to each get a burger, but I was torn. There was a Wagyu Umami Melt Burger as a featured plate of the month, but the Fresno Fig, a burger w/fig marmalade, creamy goat cheese, bacon, red onion & arugula sure sounded tasty. David said the Fresno Fig was a personal favorite, but the monthly specials are limited burger combos. I went with the Umami. It was SO GOOD! The mushroom and red onions were so tender the provolone slightly melted and the Wagyu was tender. I wish the meat would've had some seasoning added, but I've noticed most places don't season the beef. The bun was a soft, yummy brioche. The fries were REALLY GOOD! Perfectly crispy outside, but a fluffy potato center. Served in a metal cup on the side keeps the fries nice and warm. The view was what I was excited for and I was very happy with my seat next to the window facing the runway. One Cessna was practicing take offs/landings and then a PJ showed up to whisk some VIP away. *sigh* Maybe someday I'll get to see the view of Eureka from that PJ.... Cheers! "CC"

The Mediterranean menu is inventive and amazing top to bottom. Start by heading to nomadsouthbay.com and sign up for their email list to get a free hummus appetizer. It's $16 on the menu and comes with a still puffy from the oven flat bread (pita). It's worth the money, but definitely worth joining the email list. After the hummus, we split five dishes for the four of us. The roasted cauliflower is straight forward and delicious, served atop a lovely tahini and turmeric sauce. The kale salad was light and delightful. The lamb kabob plate was exactly what you want in Mediterranean food. The steak atop risotto, a favorite from Jackson's (the prior establishment here), was near perfect. But the star of the show was the Salmon Esquites--perfectly cooked salmon over fresh corn, lime, crema, and pinto beans. I am salivating writhing this! And I'm going back soon!

The restaurant itself was nice, clean and aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, I don't have the same hype for the food. Let's start with the drink. I can't recall what I had, but I do remember that the ice filled up my 4 oz cocktail glass. My husband and I ordered the Nomad Hummus for appetizer. The only thing I can say is $14 for it is thievery. The same goes for the Mary's Chicken. It was not bad, taste wise, but no wow factor. The portion of everything in that dish was not worth the price. As for the service, the host was very hospitable. I can't say the same for the waitress. She was so blank. There was no sense of welcoming in her. She just took the order, filled the glass with water and gave the bill. It would probably make more sense if it was busy, but it wasn't. It was a Tuesday early dinner with two other parties at the time. I don't know how business is going for Nomad Eatery, but I suggest to be more great full to the customers that do come. A little hospitality goes a long way.

Unable to locate a restaurant as we drove aimlessly down Artesia Blvd, I'd decided to search the Google Map Application "Restaurants nearby" which led us directly to choosing this simple and emaculate cafe housed in an impressive artistically designed building that, I was concerned, might be a bit more on the fancy side. To my delight, it was an airy and welcoming atmosphere where we were immediately welcomed with a smile by a genuinely warm young woman (Anna E.) whom was as helpful and amiable speaking English as she was Spanish with us! With only one hour for breakfast, we each experienced the smoothest most delicious coffee which is every bit as smooth as the coffee I grind and prepare at home, and I daresay it may be even better! My 1st cup with cream and sugar was remarkable, and this was followed by the breakfast burrito that was a cut above many others containing the perfect balance of scrambled eggs, sausage links cut the perfect size, a small amount of hash browns, and white cheese. This was just the right amount to share along with the french fries (crinkle cut) we also shared. My second refilled cup of coffee finished an amazing breakfast and was taken simply black. This was the nicest finish to a remarkable breakfast, and I look forward to coming to enjoy the live music they have on a specific day I cannot recall, but Sheny and I pinky promised with Anna E. to return for more of their delicious fare we have merely tipped the scales with what they have to offer. I'm already planning on bringing more friends even though no one I know lives nearby! Lastly, this five star restaurant may be down to Earth, but it also has the cleanest bathroom I have experienced outside of very neat homes of families! Visit The Great Room Cafe, and you'll have a Great experience you'll wish to make extra time and room for soon! I look forward to updating my impressions upon revisiting this gem of an establishment (a family owned restaurant) and I'll make this my 2nd "Pinky Promise"!
