Hopdoddy is fantastic! I love to sit at the bar and order my drinks there while I wait for my meal. The menu has a ton of options for you to order the burger you want! The large basket of fries are okay to share. It's good for 2 people but I still thought it wasn't enough considering my boyfriend and I like to have our own. The Cadillac burger is great, I loved it. They also offer a wide variety of shakes that are all delicious. I love this place because the service is fast and it's a fun place to sit and watch the game. They have TVs and it's family friendly. You get a number to hold when you order and the food is brought out to you. If you aren't seated at the bar, then you order at the back at the cashier and find yourself a table. Disappointed. Robert (according to the receipt he was our cashier) nearly cost this location our business permanently. He was rude, unprofessional and incredibly bad at his job. It was Sunday and it was busy. I usually go and it's not busy but due to football they had a long wait. We waited about 15 mins, no biggie as we like the food so much so we take my brother for his first visit... Due to the long I suggest to my husband to grab a table so we don't take up as much room and he can play with our baby. When we finally get to the register Robert greets us and asks how many. We tell his 3 and a baby then he gives us a table number. I told him "my husband took a table already due to the long line is that ok?" Guess he was offended I mentioned the waited time so he gets argumentative and says that there was a huge sign at the entrance I couldn't of missed. Took a photo of the sign when we left, it wasn't visible as they put menus in front of the sign for the record. Then I try to redirect his attention to our order as the line is still long and we were eager to order. I begin to say if like to start with the truffle fries and sweet potato fries and he tells me to slow down as if I rushed the words out. Then as we proceeded to order her mutter the order in a different phrase as if we weren't using the right terms. My brother was frustrated at the first impression of a place I was excited to have him. Then when I asked him about what one of the cocktails contained he replies verbatim "oh shit I can't remember"... Surreal. He ended up asking a coworker to help answer me... When I paid I decided to tip him less than the recommended 15 or 18%. When the receipt printed he didnt hand it to me until he looked to see how much I had tipped. Usually I don't stiff staff on tips because I know it doesn't just go to the one person in most cases. So I did leave a tip at the table. I do want to commend the bartender and runners Bert & Finn who were amazing. Shout out to the kitchen staff too who managed to get out food out in less time that it took to order it. They were literally running. At one point Finn had an impressive amount of cups balanced that he brought out to restock for customers. The boozy banana foster shake was a 10/10. Food was a bit over salted this visit but may have been due to the rush they had. Not sure if we will be back but if I return and Robert is the only cashier, as was the case this time, I won't be ordering from here. This was the first time I've had such a terrible experience. Had dinner with my family after a trip to Manhattan Beach. My kids wanted burgers so we picked this place at The Point... the food is ok. We didn't love it but didn't hate it either. I ordered the Goodnight/Good Cause bowl (sauce on the side), a shroom burger with two patties, and a large regular fries for pickup on a Friday night. I understand Fridays are busy and that's completely fine, but I expect a chain restaurant to have a system that gives customers who order directly from their website an accurate pickup time. My order was 20 minutes late to the pickup time in the confirmation email, and by the time I actually got my food, I had been waiting over 30 minutes. If the timing had been accurate, I would've planned to arrive later. The pickup line was long also but while waiting, a staff member was walking around handing out samples to dine-in customers. They walked directly past those of us waiting for pickup orders and all the while making full eye contact with me. If there are lines on both fronts, both sets of customers deserve the same courtesy. As for the food... very sub-par. Even eating it about 10 minutes after pickup, the burgers were somehow lukewarm, dry, and still pink inside. I truly don't know how that's possible. The fries were also disappointing. You get a decent amount, but for a burger place, they should be much better. The salad portion of my bowl was fine (thankfully), and I did appreciate that the dressing was on the side as requested. My salad was the best thing in the order, and it's a burger place. Overall, I was very disappointed. Busy or not, long pickup delays and mediocre food aren't worth it. Waiting over 30 minutes for a dry, lukewarm burger just isn't acceptable. read more

My son picked up dinner for the family so my daughter and I split the game day chicken tenders pack with hot honey sauce with a side of sweet potato fries. Both were excellent. The chicken reminded me of Korean style wings. The fries were a bit overpriced for the amount served but they tasted great. Moist too. The regular fries my son ordered were lousy. They are dry and hard even when warm. Although the order is plentiful, I would skip them and get the sweet potato or brussels sprouts instead. My wife's burger was undercooked with pink showing inside so she had to micro it to fully cook it. My son's Roosevelt burger seemed to be fine and he had no complaints. I really enjoy the El Diablo burger, it's nice and spicy and the caramelized onions add the perfect balance. The smash burger was especially good. We loved the special sauce, and added lettuce and tomato which was not included. The shroom burger wasn't as successful. Really solid burgers and the only thing worth coming for. We came on a Friday afternoon and it was really busy and got the last table left. You have to walk up to order which in my opinion means the food should not be the same price as a sit down restaurant. (Their paying system also forces you to tip btw). The service was not great, the cashier kept drinking a soda while taking our order and pausing to drink from it, he took orders like this which led to a long slow line. The drinks took a while to come out and ended up coming out at the same time as the food which was pretty fast but really annoying to me because I felt I could not enjoy the drink. It felt like fast food with more seating but high prices. The margaritas were overly sweet in my opinion too but you could still taste the tequila so not horrible. The fries were fresh, crispy and very flavorful. The queso was very tasty. The chilli cheese fries were also a winner. The chilli that they make here is some of the best chilli that I've ever tasted. The sweet potato fries were amazing, loved the flavor and the way they fried it was delicious! They had a good amount of seating though, inside and outside. We ordered our food at the counter and found a table that was big enough for 7 of us. The food didn't take too long, granted it wasn't that busy when we went. We got the parmesan truffle fires, traditional sweet potato fries, parmesan truffle brussels sprouts, and hot honey and sage brussels sprouts (all large). All the sides were great to share! I got the classic burger and I will say it was definitely no the smaller end for $11, but it was still good.
