Double Cheese Burger - Hickory Style (3/5) - Patty is tasty with nice crisp edges but the overall burger was too greasy and soggy. The bun is both soft and thin which doesn't stand up well. Have been wanting to try this place since seeing it pop up on instragram. Kind of worth the hype, there really wasn't a crazy long line or anything, which brings me to why it's 4 stars. Waited by the register to order for a few minutes before being acknowledged, and the food also took quite a while. If the people working were busy and working hard, being ignored would make sense, but when they are laughing and joking with each other and what appeared to be coworkers out of uniform on the side, it just got a little annoying. About the food: Delicious. The fries were so thin and delicious. The hickory burger was alright, but the burger that deserves the hype is the classic, I got both in a double and my wife got a single with no cheese, she loved it too. The signage says Big Mike's but Spread please is definitely there. There was plenty of street parking and there's a decent sized parking lot next door. We were greeted right away and the friendly cashier offered to answer any questions we had. My partner and I both got the classic combo meal which is a cheeseburger with fries and a drink for $15.99. We came here pretty early, around 4:15ish and there were plenty of customers coming through. Despite the flow of customers, our food came out fairly quickly. The edges of the patty were crispy and it was seasoned to perfection. The fries were shoestring, which aren't my favorite, but were plentiful and delicious. The new El Segundo location for Spread Please. Used to be at Two Guns coffee shop but Two Guns closed. I'm eating here at the end of March 2026 and they say they have been here around four months. Three different burger styles, one with home sauce (like a Thousand Island dressing), grilled onions , pickles and cheese. Then one with bacon jam and spicy BBQ sauce and cheese. Then one with ketchup, mustard, pickles and cheese. Plus one non-meat burger made with plantains. "Mods" are free to add and include ketchup, mayo, tomatoes , jalapeños, chopped chilies and more. Shoestring style fries that are slightly different than Big Mike's. Still good and you get generous portions. Combos are $15.49 and includes a cheeseburger , fries and a drink. This is a two guns coffee shop that turns into a burger shop with drinks in the late afternoon. I ordered the hickory smash burger meal with the dirty fry. The smoked bacon jam and spicy bbq in the burger was very tender and juicy. The dirty fry is basically an in-n-out's animal-style fries that is cooked with beef tallow which gives the fries a nice flavor. While the overall dirty fry was great, there could be an improvement on bit more cheese and onions to it. The staff was nice but the orders came out very slow. There is no way of knowing if your food came if you waited outside at their patio area and dining tables outside especially since there isn't enough space to wait when it's crowded. A friend came at a later date and they apparently forgot his order and it took over 50min to get his food. I assume this is fairly new and so the logistics are still being fleshed out.
