Theft, fraud and gaslighting by Country Cleaners If clothes go missing or are stained or damaged . . . . expect deflection. OR they will solidly blame you. For weeks clothes were missing. Despite our efforts to glean information from them - they were completely non-communicative. Just blamed it on us ("you have your clothes . . . we know you have them"). The owner's constant use of God's name is a deflection from her unbelievably poor customer service. The daughter of the owner is just as bad. At one point they tried to give us someone else's clothes!!!! Which I solidly rejected. They tried to get us to PAY for missing clothes - stating that they only way they would start to look for them was for us to pay for them first. That's completely contrary to the protocol of a customer paying for items upon successful pick up of those items. And - legally they have 30 days from the day the clothes were supposed to be ready - but told us that they hadn't started looking yet on the 28th day and needed more time. After over a month and a threat with legal action they suddenly found our clothes valued at more than $600. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

I've been taking my clothes to this family-owned dry cleaner for a while now, and I can honestly say they're fantastic! There was one time I had an important event and needed my outfit cleaned the same day--they made it happen without a hitch. Marina and her daughter are so friendly and genuinely care about their customers. Their alteration work is impeccable too. Everything fits perfectly every time. It's rare to find a place that combines such skill with such a personal, welcoming touch. I wouldn't trust my clothes with anyone else! read more

I don't even know where to start with this company and the lady who owns it. It is so horrible. If I could give zero stars I would. I wish I had read all of these horrific reviews before I ever took my things to her. She seemed like a nice lady at first, so I kept giving her chances when every time I brought my things she had some excuse for why they weren't ready weeks later. Waiting for zippers to come in waiting for buttons to come in. I hurt my thumb I had surgery. My lady who helps so has been out. These are all of the excuses that I heard from her. I dropped off items that were there for weeks and weeks waiting sometimes she never ended up even fixing them and I would just come pick them back up. Or then one time she glued some leather shorts of mine back together. charge me $46 for it and then they fell apart the next day and she guilt tripped me when I asked her to repair it for free And threw that in my face. But the final straw was a pair of pants. I brought her that were brand new. All they needed was two new buttons. She told me it would be ready in a couple of days and then all of a sudden my pants have disappeared. She yelled at me and told me she doesn't lose things and that I had them, and that she had never lost any article of clothing and all the years she had been in business. And yet I come read these reviews And all I see are people saying how she ruined and lost their clothing. She has bad reviews on Google also. I can't tell you how many times I called trying to find my pants and I would be told that they would be ready the next day but then when I would show up, they would say they weren't ready. And then all of a sudden she tried to tell me that I already picked them up. Why would I be coming here trying to pick up pants that I had already picked up? The fact is they lose items and they ruin items and they take months to do anything. They still have clothing in the back from hurricane Harvey because they're too lazy to go through it all and I'm sure my pants are back there somewhere. I asked her multiple times to please look for them And she just told told me no that she had already looked and they weren't there and that I was lying. This company is a joke. They do a terrible job they take forever or they just don't do your work at all or they lose your clothing. Run as fast as you can. read more

Avoid this business!!!! Dropped off 6coats back in February only to find out 2 coat were damaged missing buttons animal hair all over. Came back to dropped off get them fix come to find out they we're never dry cleaned or fix after 3 weeks Owner rude unprofessional would not returned my calls. Disputed credit card transaction. Took them to get fix elsewhere Do not use the cleaner's unless you want your clothing damaged! My bank contacted you on resolution with a date of completion which you failed to respond and complete repair on damages. Your business has many unhappy customers with the same issues on damages to the clothing Work on your customers service and quality service read more

The owner and workers do not give a crap about their customers and are rude. My wife dropped off a pair of jeans for a simple alteration (hem) which was supposed to be done in a week. But here we are 3 weeks later and not even a courtesy call from them. When we do call or drop by they are rude, come up with different stories, and straight up lie to your face. They say call tomorrow, or drop by tomorrow after a certain time, and the pants are still not ready. They have also said oh, we will call you this afternoon or tomorrow and they never call. And then they keep on changing their story. First it was not ready because the garment is still in Houston, and then it was because oh, they have to invoice us first before the jeans are sent back to Katy, and then they said that it's at one of the worker's houses because they are working from home, and then it was because the worker had brain surgery last Monday. They are full of crap. If a service is delayed, at least tell the customer properly and give them an opportunity to get their garment back instead of giving them the run around! The last straw is that they told us to come back to pick up the pants and when we arrived, it was a completely different pair of pants belonging to someone else! They are disorganized, incompetent, and will lie to your face about the clothes they have lost. The owner's daughter even mentioned that they have a whole bunch of unclaimed clothes in the back from hurricane Harvey, which they haven't cleaned up 7 years later! That tells you how disorganized and lazy they are. Do not do business with them! read more

Dry cleaning and Alterations not done on site! Prices are exceedingly high, shop is understaffed. Promises your clothes ready after five, however likely to arrive sometime between 7-8pm after shop is closed...because cleaning is done elsewhere from third party cleaners. Alterations for some blue jeans took almost a month. read more

I dropped off 7 T shirts to have patches sewn onto them. Simple. They said come back in two days. Great. Two days later I show up at 5:30 pm and they haven't been done. Can I come back on Friday? Well, no. The event I need them for is tonight. She did offer to stay late to do them but that would make me miss the event. I wish I had read all the one star ratings before I tried this waste of time. read more

I have used them for all of my alterations in the past, never had any problems. I dropped of my dress to have a simple alteration done. When I picked the dress up, it had been poorly stitched and the thread was black on a blue dress. Super obvious and poorly done. I was told the incorrect alteration would be fixed, when I went to pick up the "fixed" dress it was unchanged and cost me $17 (down drop $33)!! Completely unreasonable and not done per my request. I will no longer use Country Cleaners for any service. read more

If I could give them a zero I would. I dropped my dress of on a Tuesday, giving them over a week to just alter the bottom of my dress. She would only be making one layer shorter. I explained what I wanted and was told it would be ready Sunday. I arrived Monday evening to pick it up and the owner said no one could explain to her what I wanted done, so she hadn't touched it...I was never contacted. Lucky for her I didn't need it Monday. She said I could pick it up anytime on Wednesday....I arrive Wednesday AFTER 5:30 pm on the day I needed it and it had not been touched. She wasn't even there. Her daughter called and she said she could come back in an hour to get it done. I couldn't come back that night so I sent my dad to pick it up Thursday afternoon since IT SHOULD HAVE been done on Wednesday night. Guess what?! I'm sure you can guess... it wasn't ready! She said she could have it done by 6 or 7 PM on that Thursday! Laughable. I told my dad to walk and she said she could do 5 pm. Even more laughable trying to bargain after my dress is already 4 days past when I was suppose to receive it. Good luck staying in business with that kind of service. I dropped off a nice queen-size quilt in April and Marina keeps giving me excuses for why it's not there. It has been FIVE months. I've been extremely patient and tried to be understanding as she has cycled through and repeated reasons for its disappearance. The first explanation was that the truck broke down. Marina said she was going to pick it up and for me to return the next day. I did. No quilt. The next excuse was that the tag must have come off, but she was going to pick it up (some mysterious location) and have it for me. Nope, still no quilt. I called various times to check in - same story - she's going to pick it up. Marina made a show of writing down my name and number and posting it on the wall next to the register and assured me she would call me when it came in. I waited all summer. Last week, same story involving a missing tag, truck, and this mysterious "place."But, once again, she was adamant that she would go pick it up and have it for me today. Did she? No. Today I got to hear the excuses from her daughter, who called her while I was there. I'm sad this has been such a frustrating experience because the location is convenient and I've had no issues with leaving clothes there. However, I will be using another cleaners from now on. Honesty would really help. Just admit that it's lost and stop with the run around. read more

Marina answered the phone while I was leaving a third message. I was able to go and pick up my shirt today, the 3rd try. I don't know why we had such a difficult time with this. Marina said she came twice to deliver it because it wasn't ready three other times, but we did not hear or know she was there. I wish she could have called to let us know when she was on the way, and wish she had communicated better throughout this experience. We had no clue she came twice. I am just grateful she repaired and nicely pressed my shirt and grateful that I have it back. The other reviews made me wonder, but hopefully she will prosper in all that she does. read more

My first experience with them was great. Then we took my daughter's Christmas dress to be altered and never got it back. They never called to tell us it was ready, and every time we called to check on it, no one would answer us. The owner never called us back and we have been calling for 6 months now. Very disappointing. Will never use them again for anything. read more

I love this place, I'm always greeted with a smile and my clothes is always on point, they go the extra mile to tissue the clothes and use nicer updated hangers. Came here to get my apron hemmed, very pleased with how it turned out. They also dry cleaned it for free, and even though it wasn't ready when I came to pick up they brought it to my work for me which is where I was headed! Appreciate their services, will use them again for any alteration needs! read more

I dropped off a down comforter at the secondary location for this company (which is now closed) back in November. I went to pick it up a week or so after drop off and it wasn't ready. Went back a few days later and they handed me my item, but it wasn't clean so I asked that they complete the service I paid for. Attempted to go back again a couple of weeks later and it wasn't ready AGAIN. So by this time it's the holidays. I call and never get an answer, only to go to the former location to discover they had closed down. I go to this location and speak with a young lady there and my comforter is not in the store. She states that she'll notify the owner because some things were placed in storage when the secondary location closed. This was in early January. I have called back 1-2 times a week since then. I've even spoken with the owner and she promised to call me back the next day. That was 2 weeks ago. At this point I just want my money returned. There's no telling where the item is. I never leave negative reviews or reviews at all for that matter but this is the most horrible customer service experience I've ever received. read more
