I came to this tailor hoping to support a local business and have several pairs of slacks altered at the waist. Unfortunately, from the moment I walked in, the employee stayed on the phone and didn't acknowledge me for several minutes. Once she finally got off the phone, she essentially told me she wasn't willing to help with my alterations. Honestly, I'm still not sure why she seemed so uninterested in helping me. Maybe I just didn't appear to be a "valuable customer" in her eyes. What made the experience even stranger was that another woman walked in right after me and was greeted in a much more cheerful and welcoming manner. Odd. It was disappointing because this could have easily turned into a long-term customer relationship. Instead, I ended up taking my business up the street to Ann Tailors, where they were professional, welcoming, and able to give me exactly what I needed. If you're in the area and looking for alterations, I would definitely recommend Ann Tailors instead. The customer service difference was night and day. read more

If i could give -negative stars i would. Do not come to this place. The seamstress will tell you what she literally thinks as your trying on your clothes for them. How dare you tell me i'm too "BIG" for my skirt & that "i wouldn't wear it" . If i didn't have any manners this comment would be different. Don't waste your time here. DISRESPECTFUL. I have gone to Lan for 11 years with all my alteration needs. I will never go back after my last experience. My son is getting married next weekend. I took my dress to Lan to have narrow straps taken in a bit. She shortened them so much that it made the bodice pucker and when I asked her to correct it she was angry and told me she would never alter another thing for me. She said she had already done work on it and obviously did not want to fix her mistake. She said I blamed her. I was shocked as I always thought we had good rapport. I guess it was her fault since she did the alteration but I did my best to be kind. Thank goodness she did correct it but told me I was trouble and treated me rudely when I went back to pick it up. So glad I don't EVER have to go back. I've already found another seamstress that does beautiful work. read more

We recently moved here from Chicago, so we're looking for a new tailor. This place was recommended to me by a dry cleaners closer to my home. I brought a pair of jeans to be hemmed here, which I thought would be a simple task. I was charged $6.99 + tax, the "Daily Special Pants Hem $6.99" right on their window. However, upon pickup, the jeans were literally folded up and stitched. My husband told me they look unfinished, and we never had any issues at our tailors in Chicago, so I called in advance to tell the woman about the situation. She told me to bring them in, she'll look for the fabric, and she'll fix them. Upon arrival, she wanted to charge me an additional $12.57 for original hem. I asked, "On top of what I already paid?" She said, "Yes, because we already did the work in the hem." I told her that she should have mentioned to me that I wasn't getting the original hem upon drop-off, she should've returned my extra fabric back to me, because I always got it back in Chicago. She said that she did (she didn't) and told me I was the first customer to ask for fabric back, that I was "being picky," and that I should "go somewhere else where you'll be satisfied." I wanted to support a local business, to which she responded that she didn't want my business if I'm picky. Again, all I asked for was for my original hem, which I think is a typical thing to want in jeans, and when she tried to charge me double for an existing issue, I asked for the leftover fabric back. This woman clearly doesn't care about fixing existing issues in running a business, customer satisfaction, or client loyalty. If good tailoring is your standard, I suggest you take your patronage to another business. read more

Bad service. The lady promised me to complete my jacket alteration in one week. After I showed up in a week, she told me come back later because she didn't start to alter my jacket yet. She didn't even apology about her bad service and said some stuffs that make me angry. I took back my jacket to alter somewhere else and will not come back to this place. Beware! This lady dragged more time to alter your clothes, you need to ask her specific date and time. Otherwise, she will make up the story and tell you come back later date to pick your clothes. read more
