This is how a restaurant should be. If I'm going to spend the egregious amount of money to eat out…read morein 2026, it should be better than what I can cook at home. Too often do I go out to eat and spend $30+ to eat bland, overprocessed garbage food. This place clearly cares are but their quality. First - the menu items are unique and everything looked delicious. The quality of the food was top notch. The Eggs Benedict was pretty dang close to perfection. I'm a snob when it comes to eggs Benedict and it's soooo nice to find a place that actually does it right. They clearly made their own hollandaise and the eggs were poached perfectly. The service was excellent as well - the waitress was always checking in on me and she was very warm and friendly. Same with all of the other staff I've encountered. Honestly it's a little pricey but youre only going to spend an additional $5-10 per person over the greasy spoon diner down the street and it's wayyyy worth it. The restaurant was also very clean and inviting. I'm so sick of going to restaurants and the menus are dirty, the bathroom is disgusting, and the ambiance is dingy. This place was clean, fresh, and well kept up. Seriously one of the best restaurants I've tried in a while.

Stayed in the campground over the weekend in one of their cabins. Upon arrival it took us 30…read moreminutes to find someone to get checked in and taken to the cabin. When the owner finally got the power on in the cabin it was beyond filthy. The bedding was covered in stains and dead bugs and had not been cleaned since last season in my opinion. We had to spend another half an hour trying to find the owners again to get clean bedding that they just dropped on the deck of the cabin in the elements for us to change. Both morning that we were there we were awoken to loud music at 6 coming from one of the permanent residents places. The pool was not filled and as clean as the bar was there was no way we were going to try and have a meal. The entire place is run down and in need of repairs.

I finally just called into the back to let her know someone was here. Breakfast was served in a reasonable amount of time; a couple of times my coffee ran out. There was no cream for the coffee, only milk served in a shot glass, and the coffee was a flavored variety that I think was Highlander Grog, not so good for folks who just want plain coffee. The ham I ordered with the best pancakes I ever had was delicious, but at more than $3 for a skinny slice the size of a beer coaster I won't order it again. I did appreciate the quiet atmosphere, but suspect I encountered some of the reasons why this restaurant was so dead.

Honestly if I could give zero stars, I would. My husband and a friend of ours went here last year…read morewhen leaving Sturgis and loved it. This year I went and it was complexly awful. Everything from the attitude greeting at the door to paying the incorrect tab amount. It was awful. It took us a minute to find parking and finally found a spot up the street. We walked in and immediately the lady said how many people, we said 4 and she then said 'Well we have a limited menu today. You can get a breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich or biscuits and gravy'. All of us were fine with that and said that is okay, then she looked around the room and said 'Well it is going to be a while' and then walked away. Not even a hi when we walked in the door, just straight to trying to drive us away. I went to the restroom and as I came out a table of 5 people that all had biscuits and gravy was being sent back the kitchen. That didn't look good since that is what I wanted. I heard the server ask the cook if he could heat them all up. I guess they were all cold. I could deal with that. We stood around waiting for about 15-20 minutes and the I walked over to their tiny casino area and threw in $5 to waste some time. Finally the same rude chic said to us that she had 2 high top 2 seat tables if we wanted to split. We were tired of waiting so we took them. Then we waited and waited. We watched several people come in and wait to be greeted and never spoken to, so they leave disgruntled. We waited maybe another 15-20 minutes watching other tables wait for their food and even their drinks to come. We finally got asked what we wanted to drink. We got iced tea each and ordered our limited menu breakfast. And then we waited FOREVER. The table next to us finally got their food in 2 waves with about 5-10 minutes apart. The server said the cook cannot make the gravy fsst enough. Honestly, they shouldn't have the biscuits and gravy on the menu if it takes that long. And why couldn't they have a basic breakfast, eggs, hash brown ham or sausage and toast. This was literally the items on the sandwich or the burrito. Would have made things easier for the cook. Our food finally arrived. My husbands breakfast sandwich looked amazing and it was steaming hot. My biscuits and gravy were good.... at first. One biscuit was light and fluffy but when I got to the second biscuit it was completely burned on the bottom. I couldn't even cut it. I gave up. The server gave us our tab and charged up for an omelet and hash browns for $13. They didn't even have omelets available! Then when my husband questioned the bill and the server started arguing with him. How are you going to charge us for something you don't even offer? It was ridiculous. Overall we were there for almost 2 hours which cut in to our drive time to come back to Denver. Thanks, but I won't ever be back.
