Service is very slow, but I guess the staff must be pretty overwhelmed during the Sturgis rally time. The food is good though, and I enjoyed the corned beef hash. The choice of a side of pancake instead of toast is not really worth it. It's only one very small pancake, so you're better off taking the toast. The fried seafood dish was heavily battered, and my dining partner left a good portion of his meal. Probably not the best choice on the menu. But breakfast was good and the salad bar seems to be a popular choice. On another visit, my friend got a burger and it was huge. He said it was good. I again got eggs, this time with hashbrowns and an English muffin. It's hard to mess that up. It's not quite as good as that at First Gold, as hard to beat those hashbrowns, but this was also good. read more

Service was excellent, the server worked hard to please us. My date said his pancakes were small and good but not delicious. I ordered eggs Benedict which is my favorite breakfast to order and I don't often see it on the menu. The first order, the eggs were solid and the server saw it and took it away. The second was so runny that the white of the egg was running over the ham. The third try was a charm. It still wasn't great. They used luncheon sliced ham instead of Canadian bacon. I really feel they should take it off the menu. If it's too difficult to make and the restaurant is a hot spot, you'll get more customers with the food you make well. If you want a burger for breakfast come here! Breakfast served all day. Best breakfast in Sturgis. Food is hearty and a meal is enough for 2 people. The burger was huge, bigger than the bun. The burger was juicy, cooked perfectly with crisp bacon. Husband had chicken friend steak covered in sausage gravy. It came with eggs and hashbrowns. It was a tender steak and the sausage gravy was thick and flavorful. Service was friendly, coffee was refilled frequently and food came out quickly. This place is nostalgic as it doesn't look like much has changed since the 70's. Total diner vibe. We really enjoyed breakfast here. Great food! read more

So Sturgis on Main Street can be total chaos, but as soon as we stepped through the threshold of Uncle Louis's Diner the whole world calmed down. Our server was absolutely adorable, the food is really good diner food, which no complaints there and a respite from the crowds was definitely welcome! For $25-ish you can get your photo on the wall, along with the ~20 others who failed to devour a 6lb massive burger with onion rings, a sourdough bun bread bowl, and fries for days... but you only have 30 mins. Saturday afternoon in May, so months before the bike rally and not much is open (although more than I expected). We stopped here for a late breakfast after a nearby hike and the service was great, and the best part. Although we were seated way in the back in the dark part practically by ourselves, our server was warm and friendly. The prices are good, and I hear they are the same during the rally when others raise their prices. It the food left something to be desired. Not home cooked, we ordered chicken and waffles and the waffle was not made I. House, but the small, sweetened kind they sell at the food warehouses. The chicken was a chicken patty, it a real piece of chicken or even tenders. The hash browns tasted out of a bag from the freezer section. The eggs were real, but greasy. The coffee was decent and the best part of the meal. If we came back (given the choices), we'll try pancakes next time. Those are hopefully made in house. read more

I'm at the Sturgis Rally a little early and needed to get breakfast. Saw Uncle Louie's Diner on Main Street and decided to give it a try. They were running a special on Steak Tips, eggs, potatoes, and toast. I gave it a shot, and it was delicious . I will be going back again. We were supposed to eat here for breakfast, but ended up here after the Legends Ride. EAT HERE! We both ordered burgers and fries. Omg!!!!! They were amazing! We also shared a strawberry cheesecake which was also very good. Side notes: 1) A couple came in after us right before kitchen closed. Excellent lunch at uncle Louie's. Waited half an hour during the rally and food took another 20 min. Everything was delicious. The tornado had the eggs bene and gout boy (me) had the crispy fried chicken sandwich with fries. Everything tasted wonderful. Easy to see why this place is rated so highly. read more

This place is a crap hole! I ordered the prime rib, medium rare, and it came back so burnt that it looked and tasted like a old piece of leather. It was so bad that I couldn't eat it. I can't believe the waitress had the nerve to serve it to me. The salad bar was all out of condiments . The only thing they had was lettuce and salad dressing. The manager had no hospitality at all. I had to negotiate a discount.! He only wanted to give me a 10% discount. I told him I wasn't going to pay for it. He then offered me a 50% discount so I just paid it and left.
