This store is complete rape from the inception. Expect to pay premium prices for poor service.

I've been wanting to try their Sicilian-style pizza for quite some time, and my birthday cookie…read morereward finally gave me the perfect excuse to celebrate. They already have a fantastic thin-crust pizza, so I asked if they could make the Sicilian style with the muffuletta toppings. No problem at all. It took a little longer than expected (ordered for 4:45, ready at 5:00), but it was absolutely worth the wait. Ordering is easy online or by phone. If you get voicemail, just call back - they're probably on the phone with another customer. Now, about that pizza. The thick Sicilian crust had the perfect chew: light and airy inside with a crisp, golden bottom. Every bite was loaded with the bold salty toppings, bringing a savory, slight spice/pickled kick that paired perfectly with the oils and melted cheese. The toppings reached edge to edge, creating a pizza that was hearty, flavorful, and impossible to put down. Please pencil in a visit to The Deli on a Wednesday to grab one of their pizzas. I do recommend ordering ahead to claim your dough. This version reads like a Yelp review and really highlights the texture and flavor of a loaded Sicilian pie.

Their selection of Polish and Italian sausages is impressive and people flock there to buy them. We just had New York strip steaks from Urbaniak's for dinner and they were the best. We stop in there specifically to buy their Maryland crab cakes, which are the tastiest pre-made crab cakes we've ever had. Prices are very reasonable too. Erie is lucky to have such a quality butcher shop where everything is fresh.

The smoked chicken breast is absolutely delicious and the perfect meat for a cracker. Their smoked salmon is legit and I saw that as a native of Seattle who is VERY pick about his salmon. And their deli emats00well, if you associated delis with processed meats as I do--forget about it. These deli meats are truly slices fresh meats. Beyond fresh and local being a better choice to support your local community, it is also VASTLY healthier because it is not packed with sodium nd preservatives. So if you prefer a lower sodium diet like me, you can actually have deli meat again! (Try the ox tail--delicious tender and lightly salted but don't forget the free Au jus if you are a big salt fan). Prices: shocking, I would have to say on par or in the case of some of their cheeses BETTER priced than the grocery stores. So not, high quality and healthier options do not have to mean higher prices. OK, So the meats are delicious, the products are locally made and fresh and the prices are good. So what is the catch? Does the Service suck? No, not it does not. I have always received friendly service and timely. If you come in the morning, it can get very busy so remember to grab a number and try not to be rude or demanding. They are kind and courteous but no one likes a noisy jack ass. Overall, from my personal perspective, if you are buying meats for the grill, for your sandwiches or just as a tasty snack, you cannot go wrong with Urbaniaks.

First time here and they gave suggestions and were fun. I went with a turkey sub and they dont normally add the pickles but since I said I was new, they put a few of their homemade horseradish pickles on my sub. They should definitely make that an option. I'd happily pay a wee markup. Like, I'm gonna beg. Horseradish pickles. I didn't realize I needed these and now I'm ruined. I don't normally like sweet pickles but the horseradish bite and the slight sweet but the sour and the crunch make these crack. It's a no frills place--exactly the kind of place you expect to bust out what you need tonkeep the day going. I brought my sub with me to the county home and the receptionist was literally ordering from Lil Gingers and we had a whole conversation about them. Her fav is the steak sub.

It was great, but I don't need the calories from the mayonnaise so will stipulate accordingly next time, which will be soon. The amount, and various types of meat, were unprecedented and the roll was the best I've ever had, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the inside was a heavy dough with lots of flavor. You might not be able to get your mouth open enough to bite into it!...but I managed :). My wife took the bottom piece of roll off in order to eat it and then are it separately. Lastly I got 8 HUGE sauerkraut pierogies that were clearly handmade and 2-3 times as tall as others I've seen for sale. We'll cook them tomorrow, the sub filled both of us up tonight.
