The owner exudes greed. From basic fees he requires the therapist to charge clients. He has a fee for everything! But my biggest complaint is that they cannot properly file paperwork with the insurance companies. Mine being TriCare Prime I assumed they had plenty of experience with them. Unfortunately it is clear they do not even though many of their clients have this insurance. I was fully covered for their service, yet they managed to improperly file the paperwork and did not receive the amount they wanted paid, so they billed me for the difference. This would not have been a problem had they informed me of the charges when they occurred. I would have stopped going until the problem was solved or simply go somewhere else. But this is not what they did. I didn't find out about these accruing fees until the balance was $1,300. This happened even though on 3 separate occasioned I asked if they had my prime information filed properly. I was assured it was correct each time. Once the huge bill came my husband and I contacted this office more than half a dozen times with no return phone call. That is until I said I refused to pay. Then I received a call from the owner yelling at me and insulting me for not paying this bill. At this point I was going to a new PT and like all the ones before, it didn't cost me a penny. Not even the TENS machine adhering electrodes that he charges $10 every time! They were also able to get me a TENS machine and a cervical traction machine, with not a dime from my pocket. What a horrible man and billing department! He obviously doesn't care about the clients which doesn't allow the PT to give them the best care possible. Think twice about going here! Please be carful and above all pay close attention to your billing.

When I first arrived at her practice, I was in such severe pain that I was walking with a cane. Over time, she has provided me with valuable information, exercises, and support in addition to treatments that alleviate the pain. After a course of treatment, taking her advice and doing my exercises, I'm able to walk 4 miles a day on my treadmill! I now return to her whenever I feel as if I need a 'tune up". Whenever I do contact Beth's office, her assistant Sheri bends over backwards to work me into the schedule. In addition to scheduling, Sheri also goes above and beyond to negotiate with my health insurance coverage on my behalf. Everyone associated with the practice makes me feel like I'm a part of the family. Beth has a wonderful, empathetic approach that makes me look forward to seeing her, and I know that I will always leave feeling significantly better than when I arrived. She has also taught me a lot about anatomy and how pain often develops in one part of the body but appears in a different location. The more I understand about my body, the better I can take care of it. I can honestly say that Beth has made a significant difference in the quality of my life, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for an expert physical therapist. She did for me what chiropractors, acupuncturists and other physical therapists couldn't.

As a 47-year-old perimenopausal woman dealing with metabolic health issues, I came to strength…read moretraining from a very different perspective than someone who already enjoys the gym or athletics. I had never strength trained before and was honestly intimidated by the entire experience. I worried about getting injured, looking foolish because I didn't know what I was doing, and whether the effort would actually produce meaningful results. I started training with Christian in late April, and I have been genuinely surprised by the progress I've made. Physically, I've dropped a clothing size in both pants and tops, and my DEXA scans show that I've increased lean mass and bone density while losing weight in a calorie deficit, which is especially meaningful to me at this stage of life. Beyond the visible changes, I've also seen improvements in several health markers, which was one of my primary goals going into this process. For me, strength training wasn't about athletic performance--it was about improving my long-term health. One of the biggest reasons I've been successful is the coaching itself. I have low blood pressure and can become lightheaded during heavier lifts, and I also need careful attention to form and knee positioning to avoid injury while still being challenged appropriately. I don't think I would push myself safely or effectively on my own. Christian does an excellent job of finding that balance between encouragement, proper technique, and progressive overload. One of the strongest endorsements I can give is that he has developed a program tailored specifically to my goals, my health concerns, and my abilities. Over time, that has built a level of trust that allows me to focus on the work itself, knowing that each session is designed to move me safely and effectively forward. He is also genuinely passionate about what he does. Every session includes explanations about physiology, training, and conditioning, which I particularly appreciate because I came into this with almost no strength training knowledge. If you're someone who feels intimidated by the gym, is dealing with health concerns, or simply wants knowledgeable coaching that meets you where you are, I highly recommend working with Christian.

I had just experienced another flareup and was feeling desperate. They were able to get me in to see Dr. Shane quickly, and when I tell you that I felt like I was with a miracle worker. We went through several motions during the intro session, and he was able to diagnosis my issue (piriformis syndrome and tight hips). He performed cupping and massage, and he was able to loosen up my stubborn hips. He then had me perform some PT exercises, and I IMMEDIATELY felt relief. I honestly couldn't believe it. I thought the relief would go away after a few hours, but it stayed for a few days. I've worked him for about 6 sessions now, and I've felt drastic improvements. He tailors the training session to my problem areas, and he doesn't increase my load too quickly, to make sure I don't reinjure myself (which had been happening before). It's a bit pricy, but it's honestly been a lifesaver for me. Would recommend to anyone!

The Neurosurgeon wanted to do more surgery to try and relive the symptoms. A nerve conductive study gave a diagnosis of Carpal Tunnel. I asked for a referral to PT before considering another surgery. I came into nexus not knowing what to expect, just that I wanted to get better and back to normal…read more I left another physical therapy place due to scheduling issues and poor communication. I wasn't sure I could take a physical therapy center attached to a Chuze fitness center too seriously. Thankfully I was wrong. I've recently been through 30 sessions at nexus physical therapy of El Cajon due to a severe herniated disc. So all things considered I've spent a considerate amount of time with the staff at nexus. Everyday I've watched and listened to the staff interact with each patient with professional regimen and care with a much needed sense of positivity. The staff knows most patients nearly on a personal level. It's very endearing. They were able to identify necessary excercises and functions to my conditions through obvious education and experience. Nexus guessed my herniated disc before my MRI even. I wasn't the most easy of patients either. I'd constantly lack consistency with my schedule by being late or with cancelations. They were understanding and supportive nonetheless. I came into nexus barely able to walk. 30 sessions later a large portion of my function has returned and an even larger portion of my pain has deminished. I'm inexorably thankful and happy with nexus of El Cajon's treatment. P.S. Shout out to the staff Sally: you're a bada$&. You do a great job being the charismatic face of nexus as the receptionist as well as the general wheel of organization for appointments. I would've forgotten many appointments if it wasn't for you. Mia: you're a great personality and lead for nexus. Yelling at me to make sure my excersizes are being done right in a personable manner is a great quality for those who need to get better and is much appreciated. Dominick: thank you for showing me those new excercises. After one session we found a new mode of improvement. Angie, Jenny, Haley: you all are a huge support system for nexus. You're the horses that carry the wagon of patients when things are busy and when more than one patient needs attention. Ramton: you're knowledge of excersizes and professional experience is one of the reasons why I'm healing so well. With continued therapy I may be able to avoid surgery. I can't thank all of you enough for that ray of hope. You're a staple at nexus, of that much I'm sure. 5 out of 5. I'd recommend this place to anybody who needs physical therapy.
