They have new management who have let go their billing department fired them. the phones have been shut down. I am trying to figure out my bill, I tried to set up bank drafts to autopay them the past employees told me that I do not owe anything because Medi-Cal has accepted my husband .a few weeks later I start getting bills but no one called to tell me I did now have to pay but no one set me a bill until yesterday which included bak months from 2025 ,they seem to be charging me for visits to see my husband. and the price they are charging me is unaffordable for me on Medicare social security and Medi-cal .Ihave been calling daily speaking to the front office and was told the billing department employees had been let go and new people had been hired after a week leaving messages I was asked to call again this morning and all the phones were disconnected. read more

This place is dirty unsafe and the staff are good my dad is blind so I call and they have to bring him the phone and they make it a hassle just to talk to him they tell me call back all the time because the phone is in use and make up all kinds of bs I rate this place a big "0"I walked by the front desk and just winze my way through like nothing I would not recommend this place for anyone!!!!! read more

This place is horrible. Room was crammed with 3 patients. Nurses could care less. Given pain meds and wasn't in pain. Photos of rooms shown are not even remotely close to reality. TV so low on the wall the patients can't see it. I mean WTF. the quality of care is non existent. My Grandma Marcela was staying @ San Diego Post Acute for about 3 years after being hospitalized. She was put on Hospice per Doctor's order. The Staff @ SDPA were always so nice to my Grandma and took really good care of her. The staff even helped arranged her 96th Birthday family get together on site. It was memorable. It's impossible to reach the facility by telephone to check if there is any Covid restrictions before a visit. Driving 60 miles to visit my family member I like to know if there is any restrictions. Clothing is another issue. I write my family members name on each article of clothing and by the next visit they are missing. Also, personal items eyeglasses, pictures, bible any thing of value gone. Unfortunately when a family member is unable to communicate it's difficult to say where to place the blame. Nursing staff is always friendly when I'm in attendance. As far as quality of care I feel is subpar. read more

I loved doing clinicals at SDPAC! All of the CNAS are very kind to the residents & do their very best to make every resident comfortable.

My grandma was a patient here. I was only here for 5 weeks, and now she is fighting for her life. The nurses seemed to be nice at 1st, but when I started complain about her things being missing, her wearing the same clothes for days and ignoring her just because she was in isolation. We took her to the hospital where she was admitted with severe dehydration UTI and infection in her face, and her eyes were so bad that the doctors were scared she might lose it. This was 3 weeks ago, and like I said, she is fighting for her life. All I'm saying is if you decide to put a family member here, make sure u visit daily. Take notes and picture's of everything u see wrong as someone who works in the medical field. I noticed a lot of red flags.That's why I decided to take her out. I'm gonna keep on fighting for her. No one deserves to be treated like this. read more

My grandfather got thrush from this nasty facility, he got so sick we discharged him and just hired nurses to take care of him at home. My grandfather didnt just get thrush but Mrsa .. they put him in a room with another patient who had Mrsa, grandfather ended up getting it. The nurses are incompetent, I truly wish there was an option to give 0 stars. If you want your loved one to suffer or die, this is the facility to go to. They've been reported to the county, any suspicious activity dont hesitate to report, this place needs to be shut down. read more

I repeatedly told charge "nurse" josette isidro that my grandma needed more care and she was being neglected thats when she proceeded to tell me I was wrong and there was nothing else they could do as she turned around to leave the room she called me a slur under her breath. I also cannot understand how this facility is allowed to contiue operating We had to take my mother there bqck in May 2021 we could not find another acute center. From the start the service was TERRIBLE, I'm aware that it was during the Covid period, but trying to contact someone their was near impossible. I tried calling the Manager always out, not available. We were able to get someone to stay with my mother during the day untill about 5, during the week. On a sunday my mother got sick, she vomited, I asume that NO one went to help her, so the vomit went to her lungs. after time they had to call 911, and was taken to Grossmont Hosital, I received a call from the hospital, the Doctor told me to go the emergency entrance. Since it was during covid I said " I can't co in". the Doctor told me to give his name, he went and allowed me in. He words to me was " that my mothers vomit was not from that day. It is very strange, he said. I was allowed to go in because, she was very very sick. I have no idea how she survived that night. When I was on my way to the hospital I called San Diego Accute to talk to the nurse, she was very defensive to my questions and told me I should be greatful she called 911 , I told her " greatful". thats your job. Nurses there do not care for the patients. Administation personel & nurses are not there to help or take care of patients. I do not recommend this place to my worst enemy. My friend was admitted Dec 16, 2021 for an abscess on his leg and for physical therapy to strengthen his legs. The problems I have with this facility are: 1: there is only 1 phone the patients can use to call out or to receive calls from the outside. 2: trying to reach someone in charge is next to impossible. I have left several voicemails and emails asking someone to contact me regarding my friend's care. No response. 3. money was stolen from my friend's nightstand. Complained, but no follow up. 4. my friend only received 1 trip to the gym for physical therapy and he was supposed to have it daily. When he asked he was told they didn't want anyone in the hallways because of Covid, so he only received 1 physical therapy appointment. 4. My friend had a positive Covid test. I was notified he was being moved to the Covid ward. I haven't been able to see my friend since Jan. 1st and I wanted to speak to him. I was told to call him the next day, which was yesterday. I called several times and left messages with my name and number. I finally reached him this morning as I needed to hear his voice. He did not know he tested positive for Covid. The phone situation is simply unacceptable. After being told my friend was positive for Covid and not being able to contact him was very stressful for me. My friend and I are both in our 70s and we depend on the phone to keep in touch. I don't know why no one has contacted me after my calls and e-mails, but this is so uncaring not to mention unprofessional. read more

We were satisfied with the service provided by this rehabilitation center. Our grandpa stayed here for 10 days to recover from his toe surgery and even though he wasn't happy about it, he received good care. I thought it was really cool they have a pet pig named Penelope that lives on the grounds and four little chickens. You can schedule a visit with Penelope by appointment =) There's also a garden area next to the cafeteria and a smoking patio in the back. Every day there are 4-5 activities for patients to participate in if they choose, such as bingo, arts and crafts, movies, etc. Staff were friendly, helpful and most importantly, patient. Facility also seems clean and well-maintained. read more

I am giving one star to this place because zero it's not an option. This place smells bad, nurses talk in their own language and you cannot understand what they are talking about. My dad was admitted to San Diego post acute after a hip replacement and that one night he stayed there he wasn't happy at all. He mentioned that he kept calling the nurses and no one would answer him. Second day of him staying there, the nurses did not care that my dad was deep sleeping for more than 7 hours and they didn't take this issue serious . I asked the nurse to help me wake my dad up and he replied " why you want to wake him up? What u want to talk with him?" I was not happy at all and that's when we had to call 911 because my dad's life was in danger when no one cared. Please anyone that wants to leave a family member here think more than twice!!!!! read more

Being one of the employees of this facility , i would honestly say this is one of the BEST Facilities i have worked at. Being in a dementia care unit , many had said... this would be the most difficult and a very challenging experience. I been kicked , slapped , spit on, called names i never heard of by Residents, but i continued to want to become a NURSE to provide the best care the residents need. Being part of SDPAC station 1 dementia care unit had shown me to be better and more compassionate. The people i work with come from various cultures and backgrounds , but we all unite to provide the best quality of care for each and every Resident. My co-workers go above and beyond what is expected to make sure each resident is treated like family. I would definitely recommend SDPAC for anyone who needs to be cared and treated for. read more

The service is getting worse in subacute section over 45 patients only have 3 LVN and 3 CNA, 20 + PATIENTS with ventilator ONLY 1 RT On the floor , so dangerous if there is emergency situation , No quality of care , the doctor here Guha Roy and his assistant NP Zicky is so terrible, Don't want to listen to anybody either their way or nobody way Cannot communicate or express your concern about your loved ones under their care with them Cannot wait to get my dad out . My mother was transported here last night @10pm noone came to greet her or check in on her pain. She texted me later at night to let me know she was in pain and noone had came to check in on here since she got there. So i called and asked the nurse how my mother was doing and she immediately said "she is fine, comfortable and in no pain." I then said well she just told me that she is in pain and uncomfortable due to the broken bed they put her in. My mother is there due to issue with her L1 bone in spine. I then asked for her to please check in on my mother. And she responded with "well she didnt press the button to let nurse know." (Mind you my mother was pressing button, the nurses just didnt care). I then checked in with my mother to see if the nurse had gone to check on her. My mother told me that the nurse came to her room and said "you called your daughter and told her you were in pain? Why didnt you press the button?" And proceeded to speak to my mother as if she was incompetent and didnt know how to press a button. Nurse then came back and gave her two Tylenol for her pain, my mother told her that she was being give stronger pain meds but nurse didnt check nor cared and that was the last time she saw nurse. Noone came to check in on here during the night, she was in pain and sitting in a urine filled diaper. She then called my aunt in the early morning for help. This place is deplorable, definitely mold here, roosters that wake up the patients, standing water with dead mosquitoes near my mothers window. They should just shut this place down, it would be doing the patients a huge favor, possibly saving lives. Dont bring your loved one here!!!!!! read more

Vanessa and the team at station one always update me and provide amazing care and service . We were sent to San Diego Post-Acute Center-1201 S Orange Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020 per the assessments of what was needed by the Kaiser medical professionals, and agreement of the patient, my grandmother after having a stroke. During my Grandmother's time there she was told to make her own bed when she asked if the bed was made because it looked unmade. When she asked for assistance to use the restroom, the nurse assigned to her care at the time, told her to wet her depends and that taking her to the restroom was too inconvenient. Furthermore, the nurse came in with an alcohol pad, swabbed my grandmother's arm at the inside elbow and asked her to try "something good" with a needle in the nurse's other hand. My grandmother refused and was able to get a call to us to pick her up. And in addition, TV's were not working, the staff was unkind(with the exception of Anthony who assisted us to the car), the wing she was in ran down, no easy access to phone use, the nurses were all sitting watching tv at the nurses station and there was one women with a severely beat up eye- the list can go on. This is completely unacceptable. If this is our experience only two hours there we can only sadly speculate the abuse going on there to many others. Kaiser should not be suggesting this place to any patient of theirs and an investigation should be started for the safety of the individual residing there for care. I speak for my family when I write this. I am an extremely concerned granddaughter and community resident. This should not be the standard of care for anyone. read more

I can't say about the care given my Mother under very difficult circumstances. They brought her back from a very serious situation. The entire staff works extremely hard caring for patients that they indeed care about. I can' say much more than she really didn't want to leave. read more

My aunt stayed here for a little over a month to get rehab and get stronger before going back home. The rehab team here is great! My mother in law was discharged home today and I cannot find the words to express our appreciation to the amazing staff at this facility. They work so hard and still are very caring, efficient and helpful! We only were able to come in a few times before the global pandemic started, and their professionalism at handling their COVID-19 protocol was impressive. Not only is this one of the cleanest skilled nursing facilities i've ever come across (excellent job infection control and house keeping), but the staff are also incredibly attentive. Thank you to the nurses in station 2 for being INCREDIBLE! Thank you to the amazing dietary supervisor, activities team and rehab team for getting her even stronger than her baseline! Thank you to the best social services team for going above and beyond to ensure she had a safe discharge and for obtaining the appropriate equipment she needed, special thanks to the Director of Social Services for being available to answer any of our questions! i wouldn't send my dog there! my husband went there with a healed small bed s0ar they lie'd and said they where turning him every two hour he was there a couple of weeks i was alound thirty min visit once aweek . one friday they called me and said he was going to the er hisssss butt!! had bed soars like some one took a spoon and dug in his skin one was to the bone he is over 77 y a double amputte and kiaser put him there they thought it was a good place! his doc said they should of sent him to the er before then! now kiaser is trying to get the infection that has reached his bone! i may lose my husband!!!! read more
