My wife and I came back to stay here based on previous experience. We arrived Wednesday May 16th and stayed 2 nights. I gave my review based on the following factors: 1. Location 2. Price 3. Amenities 4. Staff 5. Service Based on the 5 factors the hotel excelled in each. The hotel is in a great location on the northern part of Ross Creek Loop and there are many restaurants, stores, and attractions very close. You are a short drive to downtown historic Dothan and basically everything locally. The price of the rooms are good for the area and the rooms and amenities provided. The hotel has indoor pool, exercise room which is mostly up to date and functional, free breakfast, all day fresh coffee service, a lounge area with free daily newspaper, etc. Upon checking in our host Benjamin was very polite, extremely professional, and answered all of our questions, had us checked in quickly, and during the course of our stay was very attentive to any needs we had. Other staff members we interacted with were Marcia and Connie, two of the housekeeping staff. Connie made sure our room was serviced perfectly and Marcia was attentive to any needs we had, also. Access to all the rooms is convenient as they are all in one building with 3 floors. We had a single room with king bed, room was larger than average size with a spa, everything appeared very clean. Bathroom has bath/shower, blow dryer, coffee service in room with Bigelow tea including decaf, and regular and decaf coffee. There is a decent size small fridge which can hold plenty of drinks and food, and a small microwave. Water pressure in shower is amazing, water stays hot. Jacuzzi was very clean, surprisingly quiet and very relaxing; SO glad we had that in the room! There's a desk with WiFi connection. The hotel WiFi service is free and has a good fast connection. The general manager is Randy Brown, a very likeable gentleman who obviously cares about his staff and it shows in the quality of service that is provided. Mr. Brown himself goes above and beyond to make sure all of his guests are comfortable and happy. Based on everything detailed this was a 5 star experience and we will definitely be back and absolutely recommend. I would like to personally thank General Manager Randy Brown for being not just immediately responsive to any questions or needs we had, but apparently from other reviewers as well. He is an attentive GM who appreciates his customers, and that is the icing on the cake. read more

Where do I start with this one? Stains on everything. the AC vent looks like it's never been cleaned. the hallways smell like people been smoking ditch weed and the room don't smell much better. The computer chair appears to be in a state of disassembly. The curtains are as ratty as the washcloths. Haunted house chic anyone? Upon arrival there's a sign that says the pool is out of order, and with some research, it appears as though it has been for some time. I'm told I can't put my room keys near my phone, my watch, or my wallet, or it might not work. And on top of that, the Wi-Fi is straight garbage. read more

I don't think I'm all that picky, just somewhere that looks and feels clean. This place was disgusting! The carpet was stained and worn (I wore shoes the whole time), the bathroom had mold and a bath fan that was absolutely furry, the curtains were ripped, (more like shredded) and an attempt was made at a repair with painters tape, the chairs were so dirty there's no way I would've sat in them, the tv guide showed a huge lineup of channels but in reality I could only get four, and the gap between the door and frame was large and the hallway noise kept me up all night. In fact, the only place worse I've been was when my husband mistakenly booked us into a hotel in Ferguson MO right after the riots. We didn't stay. read more

Nice, comfy little hotel tucked away in Dothan, Alabama. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby, including a huge movie theater across the street and a Publix grocery store next door that I walked to. The rooms are pretty big and the beds were comfortable enough to where I slept like a baby last night. The only thing i noticed that needs to be worked on are the floors/carpet in the rooms. It was pretty dirty so of course we kept our socks on while walking around, lol. Other than that, I would stay here again in the future if in the area. There is free breakfast in the morning but we didn't try it so I can't tell you anything about that. The indoor pool is on the first floor and looked really clean. read more

This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever entered. Upon entering I found any empty chemical bomb made to kill bedbugs. There was dirty towels in the bathroom and hair and dirt everywhere. There was also dirty sheets and a disgusting dirty floor with dead bugs everywhere. I would not let my worst enemy stay at this hotel. The GM Romero was unbelievably rude and made me feel like I was the reason for the disgusting condition of this hotel. He should be fired along within the rest of the staff that Is responsible for cleanliness. I can't even begin to explain how disgusting the hotel and staff were. They should be shut down read more

I expected more from yelp. Five stars?? This is the worst country inn ever. We checked in, woman behind desk was holding a baby the whole time she checked us in. No explanation why. I'm 64 and have never seen that before. Then, we come back for coffee, and she explains the machine is down. Ok, surely it will be fixed by breakfast. Wrong Worst breakfast EVER at a country inn. NO COFFEE for breakfast. Couldn't they bring some in for their guests?? No fresh fruit, no oatmeal, just packets you make yourself. And a toaster that after you push it down, you have to push another button to toast the bread. Unbelievable! Room was filthy. Shower curtain was torn.,carpet had worn spots. I realize that this Country Inn is in a state that doesn't quite take Covid as seriously as others do, but staying at this hotel at this time, my mind was not eased that they were taking the best precautions. They have a shield for the front desk, grab and go breakfast and the pool & gym are closed however the biggest thing is not being done - none of the cleaning staff was wearing masks AT ALL. These are people who enter the rooms and come in direct contact with things guests will touch and sleep on, yet without face coverings, they are able to transmit this disease. I sanitized the room as best I could but as I sit here doing my quarantine in a state that actually takes this seriously after having to visit there for a death in the family related to this disease I am worried that the hotel didn't do the best they can to take care of their guests. read more

I was passing through Alabama on my way to Florida and I decided to spend the night in Dothan. I am so glad I chose the Country Inn & Suites! I cannot recall a better experience in any hotel in any city! At check-in, the GM was offering suggestions on things to do in the area that evening, which really helped since I had never been to Dothan before. Then...we I got to my room, I realized I had been upgraded to a jacuzzi suite! The room was perfect...plenty of space...the bed was so comfortable that I hated getting out of it in the morning. The wifi was fast and free....the shower was amazing, plenty of hot water and pressure. I hate when I get a hotel and the shower is bad, not an issue here. Just terrific! And, the jacuzzi??? oh man, that was a welcome treat!!! I chose to sleep in since the bed was so awesome, so I missed the breakfast, but compared to everything else at this property, I can only assume that it was outstanding as well. If my travels take me back through the Dothan area, I will definitely stay at this Country Inn & Suites again! A total homerun! read more

This is the worst hotel ever. Where do I start. Upon entering, the smell was awful. Looking at the carpet on the stairs, looks like they haven't been cleaned in years. The carpet in the hallway is no better. All of the carpet needs to be ripped out and replaced. In the room, the sheets, towels and wash cloths all looked dingy and not clean. When I called downstairs to complain, the front desk person had to come up to see for himself. When I asked for more, we were told that they didn't have anymore but could wash the ones that was in there. (What kind of hotel doesn't have extra sheets and towels). While the employee was there we mentioned that the button to adjust the thermostat was missing and he said that we would need to stick a pen in there to adjust. To make matters worse the employee stated and I quote "I work here but I would NEVER stay here". That really says a lot. We tried to get moved to perhaps a better room but the hotel was booked due to an event being in town that weekend. With that event being in town all of the other hotels were booked too so we had no choice but to stay here. I did call several other hotels in the area. The curtains were torn also. At least we did get our sheets and towels washed and had to wait about another 3 hours to get them back as there was only one employee on duty that night. After complaining to the manager ( which the employee called while in our room) we were able to get some of our money refunded back. NEVER EVER will I stay here again. I really don't understand all of the 5 star reviews as that is why my husband booked here. Don't go by that. You will be fooled. read more

I'm in the middle of my Check In Check Out Comedy Tour. Six days in six different cities. However, I got one nigh off and had to book my own hotel for that night. So glad to have found Country Inn & Suites in Dothan. After being on the road for a few days, the last thing I wanted to do was get in my car and drive around finding places to eat. No worries here. You have countless options within walking distance from the hotel. Aside from it's location, the hotel has an incredibly friendly staff and my room was comfortable and clean. Big king size bed and plenty of outlets for your electronics. Free breakfast in the morning. Since I'm a comic, I don't really wake up early. Again, no worries here, breakfast served till 10:30am on Saturday. Nice work out room and great indoor pool for recreation and exercise. Loved my stay. read more

I needed a place to stay in between shows on a tour. I couldn't have been happier with my stay here! The room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff was super friendly. I love staying at Country Inn And Suites in Dothan, Alabama. I was performing nearby and needed a quiet place to unwind after the show. This hotel was just what the doctor ordered. It was clean and quiet and I got a great night's rest for my journey the next day. They have a weight room and pool for extra relaxation. I always enjoy the cookies at night for a late snack. This hotel has it figured out. I stayed here last Friday and was blown away by the quality of my stay. From the moment I entered the lobby I felt like I was home. The manager Randy went out of his way too make sure I was taken care of, he pointed out all the hotels amenities upon check in and even followed up with me by calling my room a couple minutes after I checked in to make sure my room was up to standard. The entire hotel was well maintained, and clean. From the lobby to my room, it was perfection. I really appreciated having a good room this particular night especially after the night before I had a very bad hotel experience in a different city and different hotel chain so the quality of this hotel was particularly refreshing. They really take good care of their guests. If your looking for a quiet, no worries hotel stay I'd highly recommend the Country Inn and Suites. You will not be disappointed. read more

5 Sep. 2015: My wife and I travel quite a bit for our business and have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years. We were in Dothan, AL for the past two days, and stayed in the Country Inn & Suites on Ross Clark Circle. Paris checked us in, and she was sharp and AWESOME! Our room was so quiet, once inside, it seemed like we were the only visitors in the hotel. Our room was spotless. The bed was super comfortable. Coffee is always hot and available in the lobby. Plenty of choices for breakfast (hot or cold). If you're here on business, and location is important, this is your hotel. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The manager (Randy) and his staff have no rivals or competition when it comes to 5-star professionalism, friendliness, accommodations, and superior customer service, When considering "cost vs. value", you may find a more expensive place to stay, but you will not find a better place. A crew is always a reflection of its leadership. It is obvious that Randy runs a tight ship, but it is almost immediately apparent when speaking with him, that he loves people. He mentors and coaches his staff, and they reflect his friendliness and professionalism to their customers. Surpassing guest expectations is what this crew excels at, so expect your stay here to be relaxing, care free, and enjoyable. Out of all the hotels we've stayed in, there are only a few that we look forward to revisiting. Country Inn & Suites of Dothan is definitely on the short, exclusive list of hotels that we are looking forward to staying in again.
