Country Kennel staff took such good care of our dog while we were at the beach for a week. Our dog is almost 12 yrs old and has thyroid disease so he is on daily meds. He is a big dog with joint pain that comes with age so we are more concerned leaving him the older he gets. It's nice to know I could text the kennel anytime to check on him and they always respond in a timely manner. They let me know early in his stay that he wasn't eating well and that they would add an approved additive (which I signed off on when we dropped him off) to his food. After that day, he was eating fine. They have options to add on treats and nature walks which we know our dog loves. I also added on a bath and nail trim the Saturday before we picked him up. He was so clean and fluffy when we picked him up and had a cute bandanna around his neck too! He was very perky and happy which was nice to see. This is only our second time boarding him with Country Kennel, but we feel so at ease knowing he is receiving such good care and that means the world to us! read more

Recently, we had to leave the state for a family wedding, and our regular puppysitter wasn't available. After doing some thorough research and driving to the area where Country Kennel is located, I reached out to them. I heard back shortly thereafter & I scheduled our pup's trial visit. Dogs have to stay for a minimum of 4 hours after confirming their vaccinations. All went well, and we scheduled our visit along with puppy postcards (daily updates on his progress), storytime, & a peanut butter Kong each day. Our boy was truly spoiled during his time with Country Kennel. My anxiety level dropped each day when the puppy postcard arrived & we arrived to pick up a very happy pup. I have been taking my two Standard Poodles, and my small poodle, to this facility once monthly for baths and brush outs for the past three years. I have also used them a couple of times for boarding. They always come home looking beautiful, and my little shy poodle who was adopted from a shelter wags his tail the minute they pick him up out of the car, he loves going there! I used to own a pet care facility and I am very picky. This kennel is so clean and the employees are professional and seem to genuinely care about my pets. read more

Love this place! The crew at Country Kennel really love the animals in their care. We board our dog here and pay the extra $12 to put her in doggy day care - worth every penny. They take pictures of your pet while they play with the rest of the pack and upload them to Facebook so you can enjoy. We normally take our dogs to a different kennel/daycare but they were booked an this was our first time at Country Kennel. It is $10-$15 more per day for a 2 dog suite which we were okay with since it was only about a month in advance booking. When we arrived to drop off the dogs we were asked if we wanted to add on doggy daycare for our dogs which was a shock because it is included at the other places we have boarded our dogs over the past 10 years. It was already $60 a day for a 2 dog suite so we declined because it was just too much money. Our hearts sank into our stomachs on our way home knowing they weren't going to be able to get out and play with the other dogs. We did schedule for both of them to be groomed before pickup. We then came to pick up our dogs the following weekend we were told that one of our dogs looked stressed out so they didn't trim his nails but we were still charged for it. We just shook our heads and took our fur babies home but will never take them back there again. Also one of my dogs now has an eye infection. read more

Excellent experience boarding our dog at Country Kennel! The facilities were very clean, the staff is incredible and they have large outdoor areas for the dogs to run and play. They took great care of our dog while we were gone. Each day, Country Kennel posts picture of the dogs on Facebook which allow my kids to check in with the dog! If your looking for peace of mind that your pets are well cared for while you're away, read on... We have been taking our two dogs (large and small) to Country Kennel multiple times per year for the last 5 years, and have had the best experiences ever! Facility is safe, extremely clean, and actually has space for dogs to get exercise. When you walk in, it's almost serene - unlike other kennels with chronically barking dogs, this rustic slice of heaven seems to have a calming effect on animals. Staff is conscientious, kind, and loves to be with your pets! One of my dogs becomes very stressed when he is left, and will refuse to eat; somehow, he always comes back well fed and without weight loss, so I know that the staff is paying special attention to him to assure that he will eat. Country Kennel also has an option for extra playtime/daycare during the stay which is a great option for the dogs. Staff manages to take photos of your pet doing some really crazy things during their social time, and you will be able to view your dog's adorable antics on Facebook. We have occasionally had grooming and bathing done before pick up as well, and that service too has been exactly as expected. Rest assured, your pets will be having a great time while you're gone, and will be in good hands with Country Kennel (There is also an affiliated kennel called Best Friend Bed & Biscuit which we have used, and they are equally great!) read more
