Finally got in here! It's been in my YELP! bucket list for years. We went after an afternoon of Christmas shopping in downtown York (Shop Local!!). Only a 10 minute ride down 321. The service was great! I got the Carolina Burger with fries and onion rings. My wife got the burnt ends with fries. We split a piece of pecan pie and took home a piece of the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Themed Cheesecake. It was all amazing!! Cannot wait to get back. Highly Recommend. read more

We used to love eating here but it's been about a year since we had been and we decided to go. Tonight was just awful. My husbands pork sandwich poured liquid when he picked it up and the bottom bun so ridiculously soggy and he said it had no flavor. I had the three meat plate with a side of a few ribs and it's like the meat had been sitting in water. The only thing we really liked was the baked beans. Very disappointing. read more

We came for a valentines dinner and the place was packed. We got the valentines special and both dishes were extremely flavorful and delicious. The cheesecake at the end was the perfect ending I'd say. It was so good I wish I had a full cake to take home. Overall it was a good experience with nice wait staff who were attentive and kept our drinks refilled. Will be back for sure read more

A decent local eatery. Sides were kinda okay with generous portions,but none were great and we had great expectations for the whole fried Okra that was tough, luke warm and no crunch coating. Potato salad is heavy mustard based, mac and cheese was right up there with the blah boxed version. Some nights have prime rib, not the best but nice flavor and slightly over cooked. BBQ was good and the three sauces were okay. Service was great, luckily loved by locals at this establishment in a barn. read more

My sis and I visited here on 7/26/24 just prior to evening crowd. Food here is great. They have hamburgers, salads, and fish. Lots of sweet items. Plenty of sides to choose from. Service was very friendly, kept tea filled without asking. Clean environment, interesting decor. Plan on visiting again but eat less entree so we can try dessert. read more

We have lived in the area for 81/6 years and tried this restaurant for the first time on July 4th . I had read the reviews and since we were in the area stopped in. I realized immediately it must be good because at 1:00 it was a full house! I had the pulled pork and it was tender and not dry at all. Delicious. The side of fried squash was a real treat. My husband had the burnt ends and they were WOW. Literally fell apart with tenderness and the flavor was so good. Hush puppies with the honey butter were excellent. I don't know if we came here on an off day, or if this just isn't our cup of tea... No offense, we didn't get the hype around this place.. The green beans seemed to be out of can, the mac and cheese wasn't great. The meats were just so so, and nothing special. We didn't order any desserts, but the service was great! The place was busy, so obviously people love it here. We did drive out here just to try it as we have heard so many good things about it from several people. Again, take my review however you want - again, this place just isn't our style of BBQ (we have other local favorites that we prefer). Give it a try and make your own opinion of it! Prime Rib on Thursday and Saturday, ONLY! oH mY! Melts in your mouth good. This is BEST I ever tasted in 50 years!

We have had mixed experiences in this restaurant. The brisket was bland and dry on our last visit. The pork was good though.

This place is beautiful, the old timbers and open feel is amazing. The pecan Beer and pie were absolutely awesome. The bbq, not so good. Our pork ribs tasted like dirty dish water, brisket was super dry. When I mentioned it, the reply was oh I am sorry. The ribs totaled looked like they were cooked two or three days ago. Have been here twice. It's a great venue. Beautiful renovation of an old barn type building. Very nice staff. Food is very average. Not special. Not expensive, so it's fine for the locals I suppose because the place has been packed each time we've been here. There no taste of smoke in the smoked chicken. The brisket is very average. If you are craving good BBQ, this is the place! We started with the fried pickles (OMG good!) and the pimento cheese balls (so tasty!) followed by the brisket (delicious!) burnt ends (out of this world!) and the smoked ribs (wow!!). How have I not been here before?! I've driven past it a few times accidentally but only live about 20 min away. This place is AWESOME! Stopped in one day and had the burnt ends, fried pimento cheese, okra and Mac & cheese. The burnt ends were so good! My friend had the brisket. While it wasn't super smokey, it was very tender and tasty. Then we ordered banana pudding to go. Had it the next day and it did not disappoint. I cannot wait to go again soon. I cannot reccomend this restaurant for many reasons. I ordered sweet tea with lemon and there was a faint resemblance to tea. My wife ordered a Captain Morgan (rum) and coke. I tasted it and sent it back. Again, there was a faint taste of rum. The ribs are not fall off the bone tender and a few I had problems getting the meat off the bone. There is plenty of food though, just not great food for the price. We will not be returning to this place. read more

We found Sweet Caroline's while on a motorcycle ride in South Carolina a few months ago. It has a very nice decor inside. Kind of like your in a barn but all items inside are new. All the wait staff are very helpful and attentive. So far we have been to the restaurant three times and I must admit, being a big appetizer guy, that every time I have gotten the home made onion rings. There great. With that being said the burgers and steak an cheese are excellent also. We plan on attending with our HOG CHAPTER as we know everyone will love this place! read more

Love going here the food is good and service is excellent. We really like the atmosphere too. My only complaint is the serving size of the hash and rice. Most plates have generous servings but the serving of hash I got was very disappointing. Once I mixed it up with the rice you could barely tell there was any hash in there and also could hardly taste the hash. I had lunch at this location today with 5 friends. We shared the fried okra, pimento cheese balls & brisket nachos. All of them were good. Everyone enjoyed their entrees too. I had the pimento cheese BLT and it was delicious. The bacon was crispy and there was plenty of it. The only complaints we had were that the fried okra and fried squash were both a little too greasy and not crisp. Our server was nice but seemed a little rattled by our party of 6 with separate checks. We had to ask a few times for to-go containers too. Overall it was enjoyable and I'd go there again. read more

Great destination even if a little out of the way. We went Rock Hill for some archery work and got a tip for Sweet Caroline's on our way back to Columbia-Sumter. Brisket: ***** Rivers 4Rivers, Mojo's or any other top-end BBQ joint I've been in. Great crust, good flavor and moist. Burnt ends: ***** Large, with the same seasoning at the brisket. Not too over done and just right. Ribs: ***** Baked in sauce, Great flavor...moisture...I don't know what else to say. Take out orders seem to never be correct. The food and atmosphere is wonderful when you dine in but today we were very disappointed again when we got our food home. We had to toast our own bread, make the egg that was missing off our sandwich and we did not have our side of potatoes at all. read more
