Rewind tape to approximately last year some time around a mid summers night as this cozy restaurant has been sitting in my queue staring back at me. I thought that I had more pictures, I just scrolled for what felt like forever, it's 4am, only crazy people scroll for a long time at this hour. Apparently I do not have more pictures so I'll go off memory. What memory strikes me first is the bartender pointing "the clicker" in the wrong direction and complaining about how many buttons it had, then spilled a drink left by the patron before me. My cat like reflexed averted a soaking of stale draft beer and it got me thinking that the thick glasses were a tell take sign of vision issues and I just had to be ready to leap if necessary. I ordered a pint that was from a local brewery, it had the prettiest tap like the packets of vegetables at the hardware store I always buy. It was sweet and candied and sticky which wasn't going to go well with the steak I ordered so I switched to Bourbon and threw a few darts at the electronic board. The booth next to me had a priest and a parishioner, sensing a heavy brimstone talk, I walked around the large space, with my bourbon. It's not that I mind religious speak but the parishioner was crunching ice in his mouth and I really hate that. It's cool by me if they do Bible study with Jesus catching 5 fish and feeding 5000 or something like that. Catholic school didn't tell me what kind of fishes there are in the sea of Galilee, I wonder why that was left out? Seems important to me. Steaks were as cheap as chicken, I thought id have to drown it in bottled sauces. Rare and smothered in mushrooms and onions with two sides, coleslaw and a salad, or was it a potato? I really want to discuss the anatomy of this beef, but now is the time to shuffle papers, look busy and get back to work. Last time I saw these steak prices was in a little town just outside of Albuquerque in 99. It wasn't a ribeye not a filet, the print read STEAK, no description either - it had a off the strip low-end casino Sunday steak deal. Not a more appropriate name could have been summoned from the Smokey hilltops, Country Place says it all, with it being in the country's, country folk inside with country music on the musical box. I always stick out in these places, I think they think I look ethnic - I just tan well and smile a lot - it takes a bit for the common clay to warm up to me but eventually I spin them round. read more

Stopped in for lunch around one p.m. on a Saturday and had an excellent experience. The service is friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. The prices are just as good as many other reviewers have pointed out (these lower costs are possible, in part, I'm sure, due to their being cash-only. I had the vegetarian wrap, Caesar salad, pierogies (which were sitting in butter and cheese, just how I like them), and jalapeno poppers. All very, very good. I'll definitely hit up Country Place again next time I'm in the area. read more

So this is no joke at all. This is by far the best place you will ever eat at for the PRICE. The price of the food here is like something from the 90s. It's like cheap cheap. I'm talking like 4.00s for a cheesesteak. The servers are always phenomenal and pretty friendly. The only down fall is. There's not a ton of seating but it is decent and when you have to wait you won't wait long . That bathrooms are small. Like one toilet small but that's the only downfall . I'm old fashioned, I suppose in the fact that I love food that is cheap AND good. I suppose only so many restaurants can follow the cash-only model but it really seems to work well here. Their menu has a lot of options (and a surprising amount of seafood) without being too overwhelming and the cheapest I have seen in what seems like 10 years. The service is also really great. Certainly helps if you're not a crabby jerk from some of these other reviews seem like. There were times I would go here every other day. I don't live in the area, but my sister was going to the Upper Bucks Technical High School for night classes down the road and with how expensive gas is, I was not about to drive well over 30 minutes to and fro, so I just hung out here. They were kind enough to allow me to sit in their restaurant for 4+ hours while I waited. At one point, I came every day for weeks and they would greet me like a friend. Chatted to some to pass the time. Even had a few waitresses actively engage in conversation while bussing tables when it got to be that slow end of the night or slow day period. One even pulled up a chair. Odd detail, but I really like how they have art from local artists up on the wall. It's a nice touch of ambiance, I suppose. read more

Why would it take 45 minutes to ask for take out side order of Mac-N-Cheese? After 25 minutes I asked the bartender if my order was put in and she said "Oh, it's not ready yet.." I thought no sh..! Almost 55 minutes late, I got my order "on the house". But what a waste of my time. What was I thinkin?! I thought I'd grab a quick beer and a side to go along with what I had at home. I'm not recommending that place, even though they didn't charge me for the less than $4 Mac n Chees. And it kinda sucked. read more

Charbroiled chicken breast was good, esp with homemade Jack Daniels BBQ sauce, which was very good. Meal came with two sides. Coleslaw was fresh and very good. Waitress was awful. Took over an hour for us to get our food, when 3 parties were sat and done before we even received our food. Was missing a soup, one of the wraps was on a flour tortilla when it was ordered on a garlic herb. Another wrap was suppose to be chicken salad, but was given a turkey avocado wrap. Multiple tables were in and out before we even got our food. Would not recommend blonde waitress with braided hair- had to ask where our food was. Staff is nice, prices are reasonable but the business is cash only, so come prepared or at least have a debit card to use with their ATM. At the corner of two state highways, in beautiful upper Bucks County, but not much to look at, Country Place is located on Ridge Rd, 3 or so miles from Dublin, Perkasie and Quakertown. It is a destination for folks from all across a wider area, featuring great food, drinks and service at very reasonable prices. Did I say GREAT food? We drive 7.5 miles and make the trip frequently. Delicious Burger menu, special soups, appetizers, sea food, Philly food join a huge variety of beers and alcohol for a perfect experience. Servers really care about their customers. So bad. Just awful. Do not go. The place wreaks of industrial cleanser. The waitress, Hannah, appears. We asked if they have breakfast. "NOPE" was the answer. Ok. I ordered coffee. Coffee came in a filthy mug and was slammed onto the table. I sent it back. It was on our bill anyway. I asked her to remove it, "Next time you should tell me to take it off before you get the bill. It's easier that way." There won't be a next time, believe me. If a customer returns an untouched food or drink item the right thing to do is ask if there's something wrong with it, then ask if the customer would like something else. That didn't happen. The tuna melt... dark brown tuna, looking nasty. It was a hot tuna sandwich, hot pickle, the cheese wasn't melted, with lettuce and tomato. Not a tuna melt at all. And chicken tenders here are equivalent to what you might imagine a chicken French fry is. Like 1/8 the size of a typical chicken tender. It's just cheap, smelly, not clean, and servers have bad attitudes. Not worth stopping by. Just gross. We are worried about food poisoning now. read more

This may be the worst meal I have ever eaten worldwide. The restaurant is disheveled, the staff are in the clouds, the floor was filthy with food on it, and the ladies' room was standard but uses the cheapest toilet paper and paper towels I've ever used, the hand Soap was so watered down it had no lather at all. The food looked disgusting when served and tasted like cardboard. No kidding, they must use the cheapest food ingredients, and not even sure what grade of beef it was (if it was beef). I would give it zero stars if allowed. Cheap doesn't mean good. Pity the people who go there...mostly Seniors. I couldn't eat what I was served because it was horrible. Worst meal ever! Compare it to McDonalds and McDonalds would be 'Ruth Chris Steakhouse'. read more

First time visit after hearing wonderful comments about this place. We were not disappointed. We had 4 adults and 3 preteen kids in our group and all of us had a wonderful dinner and dessert. The lobster tails, sirloin steak, chicken salad wrap sandwiches and the chicken cor-don blue was very good. We will definitely be coming back again sometime. Make sure you save room for the 4 layer chocolate cake and peanut butter pie desserts. Amazing! read more

i had the creamed chip beef and it was terrible. There was very little beef, and the "cream" was like wallpaper paste, very thick and absolutely no flavor! The potatoes were dry and overcooked and the coffee was basically hot water. I would definitely NOT recommend this place. read more

In my search for sustenance, I came across this palace. I needed fuel for my trans Siberian buffalo hunt and I needed it quick as I was to set out for months off the grid. Usually I go for a barbecue short stack but this time I tried the shrimp omelet (reminiscent of my prepubescent years in alaska). Let me tell you.....these guys passed with flying colors. I was able to swallow most of it AND it stayed with me for about 4 days before it slid out my back hatch by the creek. Now that I'm out in the bush, this omelet haunts my every dream like the wink of a lover spanning lifetimes. read more

The only service I got here was no hooks to put a purse on the bartendar judging me saying I looked funny tying my purse around the bar. Because there was no hooks. She was starring at me while she poured my water looking deep into my soul judging me. Than as she came over to take orders I put mine in for their special "the drunken monkey" and she said by the look of my demeanor she won't serve me didn't even ID MY other two friends. We aren't even from the area. Wouldn't recommend this place at all. Especially kathy the bartendar who thinks she is a psychic to tell one they are already drunk when they just woke up. So we usted to love going here. For a family it was a great alternative to spend a ton of money. But we just went last week and it was on a weekend and I don't know if we will return. Something was majorly off. Every cold condiment they served tasted off like maybe the fridge was not cold enough but the salad dressing tasted way way bad and so did the sour cream and apple sauce. I dunno but it made me so nervous I didn't want food poisoning. Like everything tasted like it turned. My hubs got the steak and lobster and while it is normally cooked great . He couldn't eat the lobster because it was mushy and not cleaned properly. The tail was still full of that poop line u need to clean out of shrimp and seafood like lobsters. It was mushy and smelled way fishy. We sent that back and asked for a credit on the bill. The manager was not too amicable about it. But finally gave us something. My sons poor chicken fingers were over cooked so bad when normally they taste good . I dunno if it was the chef or equipment malfunction but this poor place is going down hill. Hopefully who ever buys it will turn it around. Quality took a dip hard. Sad cuz this was a great place back in the day . And please fix the toilet handles in the men's room every time my kid and hubs need to use the bathroom the handle is not working . My husband bless his heart even fixed it last we were there .
